Who Are The Rumored Headliners For Coachella 2023?

Celebrities, reality TV stars, and social media influencers’ favorite annual music event, Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival, is just months away. This year’s multi-day celebration of arts and culture is locked in for the second (April 14 to 16) and third weekend (April 21 to 23) of April. At the same time, the festival’s location is no surprise. Each year, it is held on the grounds of the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California. The headliners are always a fun guessing game for music lovers. As festival goers financially prepare themselves for the steep ticket price, whispers of this year’s headliners have begun to make the rounds on social media.

In 2021, Coachella co-founder Paul Tollett told Los Angeles Times that he’d love to have Frank Ocean return as a headliner, given that his 2020 return to the festival was canceled due to COVID. Tollett and Ocean have since remained tight-lipped about his potential resurgence. However, with anticipation building for the festival, social media users have begun circulating a flyer of Coachella’s entire lineup.

The image has not been authenticated and should only be treated as speculation; fans are excited at the possibility of seeing Justin Bieber, Bad Bunny, and Frank Ocean headlining the first weekend. Other notable acts on the graphic include Jack Harlow, Skrillex, and Lil Durk, as well as international acts Blackpink, Rosalía, Burna Boy, and Tems.

The Coachella lineup is usually released in mid-January, so it won’t be long until this flyer is confirmed or updated.

Some artists covered here are Warner Music artists. Uproxx is an independent subsidiary of Warner Music Group.

Takeoff Murder Suspect Patrick Clark Bond Paid By “Concerned Citizen”: Report

After multiple attempts to get out of jail, Patrick Clark has been released on bond. He is the chief suspect in the murder of Takeoff, and it was expected that Clark wouldn’t be able to make bail. Initially set at $2 million, the bond was later lowered to $1 million. Days ago, it was announced that Clark made bond and would find freedom once again, but questions were raised regarding who put up the bill.

A report by KTVU News also stated Clark’s attorney Letitia D. Quinones shared a statement regarding his release. “Neither Patrick nor his family posted the bond in this case,” she said.

“A concerned citizen and family friend who believes in Patrick’s innocence posted the bond on his behalf,” the lawyer continued. “Like any other defendant, Patrick is presumed to be innocent and has the right to bond. He also has an obligation to comply with all the terms the court has laid out.”

“He intends to comply fully and will appear for proceedings whenever the court requires him to do so. We believe Patrick is innocent and at the appropriate time, the evidence will reveal that to be the case.”

Meanwhile, some people questioned how this could occur when Clark’s team recently requested $5K from the court. They further claimed they needed the money to fund a private investigator for his defense.

Takeoff was shot and killed during a purported dice game in Houston in the early morning hours of November 1. He was said to have been an innocent bystander who was hit by stray bullets.

Clark is reportedly scheduled to return for his arraignment hearing on March 9.

Jen Shah Sentencing: Reality Star Will Serve 78 Months In Prison

Celebrity legal cases have been coming in droves lately. Megan Thee Stallion and Tory Lanez wrapped things up in court at the end of 2022. Now, Young Thug’s YSL RICO trial is beginning. Outside of the world of hip-hop, reality stars like Jen Shah are facing serious legal time too.

On Friday (January 6), the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City cast member was sentenced to 78 months (or 6.5 years) in prison for committing wire fraud. Her attorney, Priya Chaudry, spoke with Page Six earlier today about the news.

“Jen Shah deeply regrets the mistakes that she has made and is profoundly sorry to the people she has hurt,” her statement reads. “Jen has faith in our justice system, understands that anyone who breaks the law will be punished, and accepts this sentence as just.”

Additionally, Chaudry went on to say, “Jen will pay her debt to society and when she is a free woman again, she vows to pay her debt to the victims harmed by her mistakes.”

During today’s courtroom session, US District Judge Sidney Stein said, “Jen Shah’s role on the ‘Real Housewives of Salt Lake City,’ which I guess is why the courtroom is so full today, is just that, a role. People should not confuse the character she plays on an entertainment show to the person before me.”

It was said several times that the 49-year-old was a “leader” in the conspiracy. “Every cooperator told us, Jen Shah is the boss. They all knew who she was,” Assistant US Attorney Robert Sobelman specifically noted.

“There is not one message from her that expresses any type of remorse, not one. The defence hasn’t submitted any. That’s not how she felt even when she pled guilty,” he also said.

As Page Six notes, Shah pleaded guilty in July for her role in a telemarketing scheme. For several months, she scammed thousands of people out of money, though she targeted the elderly in particular.

“[Shah] and her co-conspirators persisted in their conduct until the victims’ bank accounts were empty. Their credit cards were at their limits, and there was nothing more to take,” prosecutors wrote in their sentencing submission. Their hope was to see the TV star sentenced to 10 years in prison. Initially, that number was 14.

She previously expressed plans to “fight” the case while maintaining her innocence, though that later changed. When speaking in front of the judge, Shah said, “I want to apologize by saying, I am doing all I can to earn the funds to pay restitution.” Afterward, she blamed the incident on her “longstanding untreated mental issues,” which caused her to “create [her] own fractured reality.”

Jen Shah’s current prison surrender date is February 17. Check back with HNHH later for any updates.

Frank Ocean & Bad Bunny Rumored To Headline Coachella 2023

We’re only a few months away from Coachella but they’ve yet to announce their headliners. However, rumors have floated around in recent times, and it’s looking quite promising.

Per Hits Daily Double, the Coachella organizers have their sights set on an incredibly rare performer, as well as two highly sought-after international acts. Frank Ocean, Bad Bunny, and BLACKPINK. Though nothing is confirmed, Bad Bunny and BLACKPINK inclusion will undoubtedly help further attract global fans to the fest.

However, the most exciting acts that might show face would be Frank Ocean. Organizers initially scheduled the ever-elusive singer to perform at the 2020 installment until COVID-19 hindered everyone’s plans.

The festival’s co-founder Paul Tollett provided insight into Frank Ocean’s performance during an interview with the L.A. Times last year. Tollett explained Ocean wasn’t available for the 2022 dates but would hit the stage in 2023 as a headliner.

“Right now, it’s the Wild West,” Tollett said of the early announcement. “I’m just trying to be as fair as I can to artists and to the fans to make sure that eventually, they get to see everyone that we talked about.”

Over the past few years, Frank Ocean’s hinted at new music, though he’s clearly fulfilling his creative needs in other fields. For instance, he launched HOMER, a luxury jewelry and accessory brand that Drake’s taken a liking to. Still, there’s a chance that we might hear new music from him in the future. In July, he revealed that he was in a studio in Malibu over the summer. Then, he wiped out his Instagram page, which fueled further speculation.
