rap beefs

Just a couple of days before Christmas, Tory Lanez was found guilty of all three charges in relation to the 2020 shooting incident of Megan Thee Stallion. After the verdict, many people were glad to see Tory put behind bars, while others called for his release, believing that the Canadian rapper was innocent. Recently, Soulja Boy has jumped in the mix, sharing his support for Megan, while at the same time, slamming Tory Lanez.

In an Instagram live post, the “Rick & Morty” rapper said that Tory is a “bitch” for shooting Megan, before calling him out even more for the incident.

“Yall n****s out here shooting bitches and aint nobody gone say nothing? I’m the only n***a in the whole rap game that’s gonna say something? Ok, cool,” Soulja said. “Well, Tory Lanez you a bitch. You a bitch n***a on me,” he continued. “Yall watched this n***a shoot this bitch and everybody said, ‘He aint do it.’ Man, fuck yall lame ass n****s.”

He did not stop there, he continued with his incinerary remarks about Lanez.

“You want to shoot bitches in the feet n***a? Yous a pussy n***a,” Soulja Boy continued. “And when you get from jail n***a you know where I’m at. You got a problem n***a I’ll beat your bitch ass n***a. Don’t never rap over none of my beats, don’t never freestyle over none of my beats. You trash n***a. Your music trash.”

D.L. Hughley Makes Comparisons Between Kanye And Lucifer

D.L. Hughley Believes Kanye West is 'Conveniently' Mentally Ill

Ye has been quiet since the incendiary remarks he made about Jewish people and showed his adoration for Adolf Hitler and the Nazis. Despite his silence, that has not kept him from being a point of conversation for many people. In a recent interview with DJ Vlad, comedian D.L. Hughley made comparisons between Ye and the “fallen angel,” Lucifer.

“I really fault a lot of these people who are taking advantage,” D.L. began. “Well, I can’t say they’re taking advantage.” He then questioned why Ye’s team would allow him to jump from show to show knowing that he is going to make outlandish and controversial statements.

Vlad then brought up a conspiracy theory that West held about his mother, Donda West, Michael Jordan’s father, and Bill Cosby’s son all being sacrificed. Vlad said that he did some research into the death of Donda West, and said that it was far from a sacrifice.

Hughley then went on to compare West to Lucifer, saying that the two share similarities.

“I think that—biblically, Lucifer was a cherub. He was—his name means Morning Star. Lucifer was beautiful and he was God’s minister of music. He was exalted, and he was perfect. And Lucifer had seen God. He knew that he was created by him. But Lucifer was so charismatic and so talented, he talked other angels in trying to bum rush heaven.”

“If talent and charisma is so mesmerizing, so intoxicating, it can make angels rise up against God it can make us alter our understanding of things. We’ll start to believe things. That is the most dangerous thing about what’s going on here,” Hughley added. “It says a lot that a man who loves Hitler and Trump. It says a lot that you love those two people. And it says even more that people are contorting themselves to make that make sense.”

Lizzo says that “cancel culture” is “appropriation,” citing outrage from marginalized people in society. The Special singer explained her position in a tweet that she posted on Sunday night.

Lizzo says that outrage has become “trendy, misused and misdirected,” and wants the focus to shift back to “real problems.”

She elaborated: “This may be a random time to say this but it’s on my heart.. cancel culture is appropriation. There was real outrage from truly marginalized people and now it’s become trendy, misused and misdirected. I hope we can phase out of this & focus our outrage on the real problems.”

The tweet arrives after Lizzo previously criticized people’s social media literacy, earlier in the week. “We need to talk about the epidemic of believing any and everything y’all see on social media…,” she wrote in a post.

As for music, Lizzo is expected to be making an appearance on the deluxe version of SZA’s newest album, SOS. The TDE singer detailed her experience working with Lizzo during a recent interview with Rolling Stone.

“We just have so much fun together,” she told the outlet at the time. “And I feel like she gets me. She’s another person who has hella music tastes and doesn’t fit in anybody’s box of anything. She makes it seem like she doesn’t even care like she just does whatever she wants. And I just love being with her, just as a friend and hanging out. So whenever she comes to a studio, I just feel like, ‘Let’s drop into some bullshit.’”

Kevin Durant To Undergo MRI After Knee Injury

Brooklyn Nets star forward Kevin Durant will undergo an MRI on Monday morning after suffering a knee injury on Sunday night. Durant hit the floor during the third quarter of the Nets’ game against the Miami Heat.

As Jimmy Butler went to the rim, he collided with Ben Simmons and fell awkwardly onto Durant’s knee. The Nets star writhed in pain on the floor for a few moments but remained in the game.

After going up and down the floor, the team took Durant out of the game. The Nets called timeout and Durant went straight back to the locker room. He didn’t return for the rest of the game.

“I was right there. Those plays are scary,” Nets guard Kyrie Irving said after the game. “Because when someone’s not looking [at] what’s going on, anything can happen in those moments, so I’m grateful that all that time he’s put in the weight room, putting his body in a great position, his body was able to save him from something worse.”

“He’s in good spirits as we all are,” Irving further said of Durant. “The strength of our team is us picking each other up. Just being ready for whatever’s thrown at us. … I think one of the greatest qualities of our team is our bench and the way we support each other, despite who’s in the lineup. And now it’s time to go out and exemplify that until we find out the timeline with K and when he could be available again. So we just got to be mature about it.”

Durant didn’t speak with reporters after the game. The Nets are currently 27-13 after winning 18 of their last 20 games.
