Former NBA Player Kevin Porter Jr. Reaches Plea Deal Over Assault of Former GF Kysre Gondrezick

Cavaliers' Kevin Porter Jr. Arrested on Weapons Charge

Former Houston Rockets guard Kevin Porter Jr. has reached a plea agreement in the assault of his former girlfriend and WNBA player Kysre Gondrezick.

According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the former Rockets guard pleaded guilty of reckless assault in the third degree and harassment in the second degree.

In Sept.2023, Porter Jr. pleaded not guilty to two felony assault charges and was released on $75,000 cash bail, and an order of protection was placed.

Porter was facing felony assault and strangulation after allegedly striking his Gondrezick “repeatedly about the face with a closed fist, causing a laceration above her right eye and bruising and substantial pain to her face” at a Manhattan hotel.

Immediately following the assault, Gondrezick states Porter Jr. “pressure to her neck by forcefully squeezing it, causing her to experience difficulty breathing, redness and bruising to her neck, and substantial pain.”

Later, she stated in to the New York Post, no assault had taken place. According to ABC13 Houston, Gondrezick suffered a fractured vertebra in her neck. Prosecutors state the attack by Porter continued until Gondrezick ran into the hotel hallway covered in blood.

Gondrezick was drafted by the Indiana Fever in 2021 and is currently a free agent. Porter Jr. was set to make $15 million with the Rockets next season.

Beverly Johnson Reflects on Racism During Her Modeling Career

Screen Shot 2024 01 23 at 8.49.12 AM

Beverly Johnson, a trailblazing figure in the fashion industry, recently recounted a shocking incident of racism she experienced at the height of her modeling career. Johnson, who made history as the first Black model to grace the cover of Vogue, recently shared an instance when a hotel drained its swimming pool after she went for a swim, solely due to the color of her skin.

The revelation came to light during a gathering at Eileen Ford’s 90th birthday party, an event attended by numerous models and affluent individuals. “All the models were there, and the very rich people, and one girl said to me, ‘Remember when they drained the pool? When you got in the pool at the so-and-so hotel?’” Johnson recounted. Surprised, Johnson responded, “They did?” indicating she was unaware of the incident at the time it occurred.

Johnson, who is currently starring in a new one-woman show titled “Beverly Johnson In Vogue,” chose not to disclose the name of the hotel where this incident took place, citing legal concerns. However, she emphasized that this event showcased the racial challenges she faced in the 1980s. Despite these challenges, Johnson’s career flourished, significantly marked by her iconic Vogue cover in 1974, a milestone that is celebrating its 50th anniversary.

In her book, “The Face That Changed It All: A Memoir,” Johnson elaborates on similar experiences, stating, “So you get a lot of that. People draining pools, it was racist.” She also reflected on the various forms of discrimination she encountered as a Black model navigating the fashion industry.

Kanye West Goes Ballistic On Fan Who Tells Him To “Go Back To The Old Ye”

What are the lyrics in Ye’s The Life of Pablo track “I Love Kanye?” “I miss the old KanyeI hate the new Kanye / The bad mood Kanye / The always rude Kanye / Spaz in the news Kanye.” That song is nearly eight years old at this point and it still rings true to this day. It will forever be a narrative that surrounds the legendary visionary. However, it might be a naive view of his personality. He has always been making controversial statements and acting out in public. While Kanye’s actions are not always justified, it is an idea that the people in that camp need to come to accept.

Aristotle said it best, “There is no great genius without some touch of madness.” One fan seems to still be struggling with this newest version of Mr. West and Kanye is not looking to cater to his whims. The Georgia-born artist got some pushback from an Instagram user and he decided to respond to him. Ye starts the back-and-forth, saying, “N****. You can’t tell me what to do on my page. Unfollow if you don’t like it.” Then, the fan replies, saying how much he loves his music and how much of an inspiration he is. In addition, he begs him to go back to the “old Ye [he] used to love.”

Kanye Is Fed Up

That really sent him over the edge. He appears to end the conversation with a series of four messages. “Life is change. Please don’t change,” Kanye says. “F*** you and every single person trying to tell me who I need to be what I need to post what I need to focus on who I can vote on what type of music I should make what kind of clothes I should wear. Is that inspiring enough for you and your friends.” Funny enough, this is the second person to come after him. Just yesterday, a man got testy and spat at him and his wife Bianca Censori in Los Angeles.

What are your thoughts on Kanye West arguing with a fan in the Instagram DMs about going back to the old Ye? Who was more out of line in this situation and why? Do you agree or disagree with the fan’s take? Where do you lie on whether or not Kanye is misunderstood? We would like to hear what you have to say about all of this. With that in mind, be sure to leave all of your hottest takes in the comments section below. Additionally, always keep it locked in with HNHH for all of the latest news surrounding Kanye West.
