Jordan Poole Booed For 0-Point Game

The tumultuous Wizards tenure of Jordan Poole continued as home fans booed him for a 0-point game against the Cavs. Poole went 0-5 from the field and 0-4 from three as the Wizards fell 114-106 for their 41st loss of the season. Poole did have 2 rebounds and 5 assists but that was far from enough to silence the frustrated home crowd. Kyle Kuzma and Corey Kispert combined for 51 points as the Wizards kept it close. Meanwhile, the Cavs were led by a 40-point performance from Donovan Mitchell to improve to 33-16.

After being traded to Washington, Poole has had a wild season. There have been flashy alley-oops to himself while down 20. He annoyed his teammates by calling his own shot multiple times in the preseason. However, he also simply epitomizes the mediocrity of a Wizards team that seemingly has no desire to improve. Putting up 15.6/2.3/3.6, he is the best player on a bad team but is not the “best player” in the same way that LeBron was the best player on those bad Cavs teams.

Kevin Garnett Says Jordan Poole “Does Not Belong In The League”

Meanwhile, it’s not just fans who are frustrated with Poole. Last November, Kevin Garnett also took aim at Poole. Speaking on his show on Showtime, Garnett spent several minutes roasting Poole, eventually saying “he does not belong in the league”. Garnett questioned Poole’s professionalism, as well as his myriad antics that have already occurred during the early weeks of the NBA season.

However, one person who seemingly has Poole’s back is Andre Iguodala. In a September podcast appearance with JJ Redick, Iguodala reflected on the less-than-ideal role that Poole had to play for the Warriors. In short, Iguodala summarized that the Warriors were built around Steph, Klay, and Draymond. Poole, who would often play off the bench, was expected to play without the freedom or the eccentricities afforded to the team’s Big Three. If Draymond was having a wild night with errant passes and the like, Poole had to be perfect. If Steph was cold from three, Poole had to be hot. In Iguodala’s eyes, Poole had to play clean-up to whatever the Big Three wasn’t doing on any particular night.

Subsequently, fans of both artists have been at war, and Kingdom has been dragged along for the ride.

This past week, Megan Thee Stallion celebrated her song going number one. In this video, she was twerking and having a good time. This led to fans comparing her video to one that Pardi and Kingdom recorded a few weeks ago. Essentially, fans were trying to see who is a better twerker. Additionally, it led to claims that Kingdom might have a BBL. Well, she heard the noise and took to her Instagram story where she posted some bikini shots and made it clear she is all natural.

“This is a real batty AKA ass!!” she wrote. “Unbelievable!? I Know! Haters go nyam shit! Like Huh!!????? Come On Now!!!!!!! that’s one rumor I can’t ignore!!! LMFAO OH PLEASE!!!!!!!” Needless to say, the comments about having a fake behind were starting to become offensive to the artist. It is certainly understandable. Some fans are way too comfortable in making assumptions about others, especially as it pertains to their bodies. Hopefully, this will put any more BBL rumors to rest, at least for now.

Bronny James Hits Three In Front Of Booing Crowd, But Fans Still Call Cap On His Skill

Bronny James opened USC’s recent game against Cal with a three-pointer hit at the top of the arc. Furthermore, Bronny hit the shot despite prominent boos ringing out at Haas Pavillion. However, while Bronny’s diehard supporters claimed that Bronny was proving his god-like hype, other hoop fans weren’t as impressed. Bronny would go on to make just one other basket during the game, finishing with 5 points and 5 rebounds as USC lost 83-77. LeBron James, Bronny’s father, was in attendance for the game and happily embraced his song after the OT loss. Bronny played 28 minutes but continued to be a non-factor for the Trojans as they dropped to 3-9 in conference play and dead last in the Pac-12. USC was projected to finish 2nd in the preseason media poll.

While the life-changing circumstances of Bronny’s cardiac arrest last July must be considered, the son of one of basketball’s greatest players is simply not living up to the hype. He is currently averaging 5.8/3.0/2.5 a game and has completely fallen out of most NBA mock drafts. However, Bronny still commands a rabid fanbase who believe that he is poised to take over from his father in the NBA, despite the subpar basketball that he is playing.

Austin Rivers And Stephen Jackson Feud About Bronny James

Meanwhile, the topic of Bronny recently sparked a feud between Austin Rivers and Stephen Jackson. Jackson called Rivers “trash” and “a scrub” after Rivers spoke about Bronny on ESPN. It was a bizarre reaction given that Rivers’ point was that Bronny and LeBron shouldn’t play together so that Bronny had the chance to forge his own legacy in the NBA. “I don’t want to see Bronny play with [LeBron]… Him getting drafted & playing with his dad, I don’t want that negativity to come his way. He doesn’t deserve it… [He needs to] play somewhere where he can niche out his own identity,” Rivers told NBA Today.

Later, Rivers would respond to Jackson on X, formerly Twitter. “All smiles…I didn’t even have to fight my own battles with ignorance, yall corrected it for me!! Thank you for not siding with delusion. Have a blessed day,” Rivers wrote.

Usher Speaks on State of R&B: ‘Whoever said R&B is Dead Sounds Crazy’

Usher isn’t here for all that R&B is dead talk. In an interview with Billboard, Usher flexes on those who attempted to bury the genre, highlighting the new class of artists.

“I’m very happy that there’s a new installation of R&B artists who care to be authentic to what they are creating, inspired by artists of the past,” Usher said. “Everybody who has ever said to me that R&B is dead sounds crazy. Especially when I know the origins of R&B are in all other genres of music. It’s about creating commerce in other spaces.”

Later he added, “I never felt like R&B was dying. I think it just needs expansion. We’re moving toward a standard where people are looking at snippets — TikTok, Instagram and other things — and when fans get it, they take it and do something with it. But if we start to think of it that way and create from that place, the standards for R&B will change.”

Multi-platinum artist Usher is hitting the road to celebrate his illustrious 30-year career and the release of his upcoming album Coming Home. Following the success of his Las Vegas residency, the global icon will embark on the Usher: Past Present Future tour, produced by Live Nation.

Beyoncé Teases Haircare Line Inspired by Her Mother's Salon

Beyoncé has announced her line of haircare products. Hitting Instagram, Queen Bey announced Cécred (pronounced “sacred”) in an Instagram post.

In May 2023, the Renaissance creator teased what many believe to be a forthcoming line of hair products.

In the Instagram post, Beyoncé shares an image of herself in a mirror with curling irons and a blow dryer. The second image features the younger Queen Bey getting box braids. In the third slide she penned a message remembering her days singing and sweeping hair in her mom’s hair salon, Ms. Tina Lawson.

Beyoncé’s message reads:

“How many of y’all knew my first job was sweeping hair in my mama’s salon? Destiny’s Child got our start by performing for clients while they were getting their hair done. I was exposed to so many different kinds of entrepreneurial women in her salon. I saw first hand how the ways we nurture and celebrate hair can directly impact our souls. I watched her heal and be of service to so many women. Having learned so much on my hair journey, I’ve always dreamed of carrying on her legacy I can’t wait for you to experience what I’ve been creating.”

Ye and Ty Dolla $ign Announce NYC ‘Vultures’ Show

With the Vultures show set for Chicago, Ye and Ty Dolla $ign set their sights on the New York experience. The next Vultures experience is set for UBS Arena in Belmont Park on Feb. 9, the album’s release date.

“Fans will have the rare opportunity to experience ‘Vultures, Volume 1’ in a high-fidelity audio and visual showcase, crafted by YE and Ty Dolla Sign,” UBS Arena’s website reads. “This event marks a historic moment as attendees will listen to the album together with the artists and album collaborators.”

Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign booked and sold out the United Center in just seven minutes for their VULTURES release party.

After the achievement, Ye revealed that his hometown is giving him arena access.

“We just sold out the United Center in seven minutes and I just wanted to express to everybody out there to see if anybody can help with this,” West said. “It’s the only arena I had access to in the past year. And when I call, people say there’s no avails for me and you know why that is. If there’s anybody out there that can help with this, please do.”

Vultures is headed to Chicago. Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign have announced a listening party for the album at Chicago’s United Center. The listening party is set for a night before the official release of Volume 1 of the album.

Ye and Ty Dolla $ign has the first volume of Vultures loaded for Feb. 9. According to the NFR Podcast, the release will have features from Chris Brown, Future, Young Thug, Lil Durk, Freddie Gibbs, Quavo, Charlie Wilson, YG and more.

Last month, Ye released the trailer for he and Ty Dolla $ign’s forthcoming music video, “Vultures,” featuring Bump J and Lil Durk.

Ye and Ty$ have also announced the release dates for all three volumes of the Vultures album: Feb. 9, March 8, and April 5.

SOURCE SPORTS: Patrick Mahomes Speaks on His Father’s DUI Arrest

Patrick Mahomes has spoken to the media in regard to the DUI arrest of his father, Patrick Mahomes Sr.

“He’s doing good. I don’t really want to get into it too much, but he’s doing good for whatever the situation is,” Mahomes said. “It’s a family matter, so I will just keep it to the family. That’s all I really have to say at this point.”

Mahomes Sr. was arrested and charged with driving under the influence over the weekend in Texas.

This was the third time Patrick Mahomes Sr. had been arrested for driving under the influence, with the second arrest resulting in a 40-day jail sentence back in 2019, but he served his sentence on the weekends.

Mahomes Sr.’s arrest came a week before his son’s team was slated to take on the San Francisco 49ers Super Bowl LVIII and a day before the team left for Las Vegas, where the NFL championship will be played.
