The 30th Anniversary of ‘Sister, Sister’ Prompts All-Day Marathon

The 30th Anniversary of ‘Sister, Sister’ Prompts All-Day Marathon

If you want to feel old, Sister, Sister is turning 30. Yes, the beloved sitcom that starred Tia and Tamera Mowry and launched their careers is turning 30.

One network is celebrating the milestone, and it’s not who you might think. Shadow and Act reports that the Dabl Network is running an all-day marathon of Sister Sister to commemorate the show, which will start on April 1. So if that is a coming-of-age, old-school show about two twin sisters getting into trouble and figuring out life is your thing, then tune in.

To refresh your memories, the show’s synopsis was about identical twin sisters who didn’t realize they had a twin until a chance meeting in a department store. They then know they were separated at birth and adopted by single parents (Tim Reid, Jackée Harry). Their parents then decide to raise the girls together. This premise catapulted the show to 199 episodes over six seasons in 1994. Interestingly, it originally aired on ABC for its first two seasons, then moved to The WB for the remainder of the series.

Now, about Dabl Network. It’s available in most of the U.S. through CBS Television Stations. Dabl describes itself as an “entertainment network presenting scripted series focused on well-known, proven and loved sitcoms showcasing and starring Black actors and comedians,” You can catch other throwback shows such as Moesha, The Game, Girlfriends, The Parkers, Half and Half, and more.

[WATCH] New Orleans Police Chief Says Rats Are Eating Marijuana in Evidence Room

New Orleans Police Chief Anne Kirkpatrick has a very strange allegation; she says that the evidence in drug cases are disappearing because rats that have invaded the NOPD headquarters are now eating the drugs, including marijuana.

The decades-old building is deteriorating, but the rat and roach infestation has become more and more evident with time, with staff sometimes finding rat droppings on their desks.

Gilbert Montano, the City’s Chief Administrative Officer, stated that the move to a new location would cost around $2-300,000, with additional expenses for essential items. Renting a new space is seen as a more cost-effective solution compared to the estimated $30 million needed to repair the current headquarters, which requires major renovations like installing a new air conditioning system and elevator.

In celebrating his new No. 1 single, Kanye West has a run of “fuck you” for his various enemies. Of those are Drake and Adidas.

In the lengthy Instagram caption, Ye wrote: “Rich Ty Carti and the supporters that stood by us through everything This number #1 is for you. It’s for the people who won’t be manipulated by the system and fuck adidas and everybody who works there or with them. Anyone who goes to school with anyone who’s parents work at adidas.”

Later on, he shot at Drake for bringing Lil Durk on tour: “And it’s fuck Drake for taking Durk right at the beginning of the Vultures role out.”

In response, Drake hit Instagram to fire off a response, letting a 50 Cent meme speak for him.

Ye and Ty Dolla $ign have reached the top of the Billboard Hot 100. Their collaborative, stadium-sounding anthem, “Carnival,” featuring Rich the Kid and Playboi Carti, is the new No. 1 single.

“Carnival” now makes Ye the first rap artist to have a No. 1 in three decades (the 2000s, ‘10s and ‘20s).

According to Luminate, “Carnival” secures the 1,165th No. 1 spot in the 65-year history of the Hot 100. It amassed 33.7 million streams (up 4%), garnered 3.9 million radio airplay audience impressions (up 85%), and sold 3,000 downloads (up 15%) during the tracking week of March 1-7.

With “Carnival,” Ye claims his fifth Hot 100 chart-topper, following hits like Katy Perry’s “E.T.” (featuring Ye), which spent five weeks at No. 1 starting in April 2011, among others. Ty Dolla $ign previously led the Hot 100 for a week in June 2018 as featured on Post Malone’s “Psycho.”

It is the first No. 1 record for Rich the Kid and Playboi Carti.

Additionally, “Carnival” maintains its reign for a second week atop both the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and Hot Rap Songs charts, utilizing a similar multimetric methodology as the Hot 100.

Meanwhile, Beyoncé’s “Texas Hold ‘Em” slips to No. 5 after two weeks at the Hot 100’s summit, although it continues its dominance atop the multimetric Hot Country Songs chart for a fourth consecutive week.

Owens’s new deal is for two years and $4.5 million, following a season where he was ranked 73 out of 95 NFL safeties on Pro Football Focus.

Hitting Twitter, Biles celebrated the change.

“just wanted to say thank you packer nation for embracing my husband & I,” Biles wrote. “green bay will always hold a special place in our hearts!”

She returned with, “CHICAGO HERE HE COMES” and “also I just love the city of Chicago.”

[WATCH] Mike Epps Gets Woman Kicked Out Of His Stand-Up Show

IMG 6527

Mike Epps is known for his hilarious stand-up routines, but at one of his shows, the laughter was muffled by a disturbance in the crowd when a young woman had to be escorted out by security but not before she took a good ribbing from Epps.

Cell phone footage of the show reveals the woman yelling at Epps, “I’m not going nowhere.” When security approached the woman, she told them, “You got my $300? You got my $300? Well, get the f*** on with your gay a**.”

Epps added a little laughter to the situation, telling the crowd, “She like Raven Symone; her little a** is feisty…I know you not about to f*ck my show up right here with your little ghetto a**.”

When a man with her tried to step in, the comedian replied, “So what’s up n***a? Do something then. That n***a ain’t gone do s*** either. We’ll whoop the s*** out of that n***a right there. That’s the n***a you with? We’ll f*** him up.”

Drake Seemingly Responds To Kanye West’s ‘F*ck Drake’ Diss With A Classic 50 Cent Video

Earlier this week, Kanye West and Ty Dolla Sign’s “Carnival” rose to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, making it Ye’s first chart-topper in over a decade. West decided to celebrate by dishing out a bunch of “f*ck you’s” in a social media post, with his most notable targets being Hailey Bieber, Adidas, and Drake. Regarding Drake, West wrote, “And it’s f*ck Drake for taking Durk right at the beginning of the Vultures role out.”

It appears this situation has left Drake confused, as what appears to be his response indicates. On his Instagram Story hours ago, Drake shared a classic video of 50 Cent, in which the “In Da Club” rapper says, “…said, ‘F*ck T.I., f*ck Nelly, and f*ck 50.’ I’m like, ‘What he say f*ck me for?’”

As HipHopDX notes, the original 50 video was posted in 2014 as his response to Floyd Mayweather dissing him, T.I., and Nelly. In the full clip, 50 says, “I woke up and I look at the computer and the computer said Floyd said, ‘F*ck T.I., f*ck Nelly, and f*ck 50.’ I’m like, ‘What he say f*ck me for?’ Nelly f*cked your first baby mama Melissa then took your f*ckin’ fiancé. Say f*ck that n****.”

Drake Looking To Get His Name Off Astroworld Lawsuit, Arguing He “Wasn’t Involved In Any Planning”

The hip-hop world suffered huge losses back in November of 2021. Of course, we are referring to when at least eight concertgoers lost their lives at the Astroworld Festival. It is crazy to think that it was nearly three years ago, and that night will never be truly forgotten. There is still a lot of uncertainty surrounding it, with families still looking for some answers. However, while Drake was certainly heartbroken, he also feels that his name should be removed from the Astroworld lawsuits.

AllHipHop reports that Drake’s legal team is arguing that his lack in planning makes him not liable. Their motion reads, “Mr. Graham did not receive any security briefings, was not informed of any crowd control issues, injuries or deaths in the crowd, or any stop show orders at any time either before or during his 14-minute performance.” Furthermore, they are saying that since he was “under oath” to not having any input on planning the event, there is no reason for Drake’s name to be tied up.

Drake and his team certainly have a compelling argument. All around this was a very poorly planned event, with security measures taking a backseat. It makes sense why Travis Scott, Live Nation, Scoremore, and Apple, are receiving the bulk of the lawsuits. Unfortunately, it may be a little while longer before anything truly happens. We continue to send our thoughts and condolences to the families who lost their kids that night.

What are your thoughts on Drake asking to be removed from the Astroworld lawsuit? Do you think he will get his wish, why or why not? Do you think he is the most innocent one that was a part of the tragedy? Will there be any justice for the families who lost the children? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. Additionally, always keep it locked in with HNHH for all of the latest news surrounding Drake, Travis Scott. and the Astroworld tragedy. Finally, stay with us for everything else going on around the world of music.
