CMG hip-hop artist Big Boogie has announced the upcoming release of his highly anticipated mixtape, ETHER, which will drop on October 18. Fans can pre-save the mixtape now via CMG Records.

This announcement coincides with the launch of his “Big Boogie College Tour,” which will see the Memphis native make nine stops across various college campuses. The tour kicks off on Friday evening at Miles College. It concludes on October 31 at Wiley University, with additional stops at Alabama A&M University, Kentucky State University, and Bethune Cookman University, among others.

The mixtape will feature Boogie’s newly released track “Choppa, Cock It, Pop It,” where he creatively reimagines Huey’s iconic anthem “Pop, Lock & Drop It.” This latest release follows the success of his collaboration with GloRilla on “BOP,” which has become one of his biggest hits to date, amassing over 32 million views on YouTube in just seven months and igniting a dance trend on TikTok.

Earlier this year, Boogie partnered with DJ Drama for his Gangsta Grillz project, Redrum Wizard, showcasing collaborations with industry heavyweights Yo Gotti, GloRilla, and others. With his song “Pop Out” recently earning RIAA Gold certification, Big Boogie’s momentum continues to soar in 2024.

Caitlin Clark, the top pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft by Indiana, has been named the Kia WNBA Rookie of the Year after an extraordinary debut season. Chris Paul, a fellow Team State Farm Athlete, posted a heartfelt video on social media congratulating Caitlin Clark on being named the 2024 WNBA Rookie of the Year. In his message, CP3 offered invaluable advice to Clark as she prepared for her sophomore season. He emphasized the importance of hitting the gym, encouraging her to seize the opportunity to become even faster and stronger.

Paul also highlighted the significance of leaning on her support system, reminding her that her family and friends will play a crucial role in keeping her grounded amid the challenges of professional basketball. Appearing in all 40 games, Clark led Indiana to a seven-win improvement and its first playoff appearance in nearly a decade. She also joined an elite company, finishing in the top five of MVP voting—an achievement shared only by legends like Candace Parker and Diana Taurasi as rookies.

Clark’s impact went beyond stats, helping spark a surge in WNBA viewership, attendance, and merchandise sales. The Indiana Fever saw a 319% increase in attendance in 2024, contributing to a record-setting season for the league.

Clark received 66 of 67 Rookie of the Year votes, with runner-up Angel Reese earning the other after her record-breaking rookie campaign. Both players led the All-Rookie Team alongside L.A.’s Rickea Jackson, Chicago’s Kamilla Cardoso, and New York’s Leonie Fiebich.

Kendrick Lamar Could Have Made His Acting Debut In The Miles Davis Biopic, According To Don Cheadle

Kendrick Lamar’s stance in the music scene has long been solidified. With a Pulitzer Prize, multiple Grammys, chart-topping tracks, an upcoming Apple Music Superbowl Halftime Show, and a rap beef win under his belt, the “We Cry Together” rapper has nothing left to prove. But, over in the acting world, Lamar is still a novice.

According to Don Cheadle, though, Lamar could have popped up in another musician’s biopic. During the actor’s recent appearance on Way Up With Angela Yee, Cheadle claimed that Lamar was offered a role in the Miles Davis movie, Miles Ahead.

“To talk about acting, when we shot [the ‘D.N.A.’] video, Kendrick was so with it,” he said. “He stayed in character the whole video. He was really committed. He was someone that I had thought about casting in my movie I did, Miles Ahead, and have him play the role of Junior. We talked about it for a long time, and ultimately he said, ‘I don’t think I’m ready to do that. I’m kind of working on a project right now, and I have to see that through, and I also don’t wanna come in here halfway,’ and I was like, ‘No, I get it.’ And it was [his 2015 album] To Pimp A Butterfly, and I’m like, ‘I think you made the right choice on that one!’”

Ultimately, the role of Junior went to LaKeith Stanfield. Lamar, though, at least appeared in 50 Cent’s Power series.

Five years ago to the day, Summer Walker released her debut album, Over It. Today, not only did she celebrate the release of her debut, but she also announced her third album via Spotify. In keeping with the theme established by her first two albums Over It and Still Over It, Walker’s next full-length will also have “Over It” in the title, but for now, she’s keeping the adjective a mystery.

The announcement of Summer’s new album arrives three years after Still Over It was released in November 2021. Since then, she’s reached her goal of having “hella babies” with the birth of her twins, released the 2023 EP Clear 2: Soft Life, and appeared on projects from the likes of Lil Tjay, Usher, and Sexyy Red, while dropping a slew of remixes to her fan-favorite breakout single, “Girls Need Love.”

Walker’s latest iteration of Over It will have some pretty high expectations; the first one broke a long-standing streaming record in 2019, while the second became the first No. 1 album from a female R&B star in five years. While there’s no release date or single information yet, it’s probably a safe bet that the rollout will begin sometime early next year, so it doesn’t get caught in the dead holiday season this year. She alleges that she was made to participate in his alleged freak offs after she was hired to be a go-go dancer at his parties. English alleges that the freak offs would take place in secluded areas of Diddy’s home away from the main party. Based on this description, not all party guests would have been aware of what was allegedly going on.

She also recalled various high-profile celebrities allegedly attending Diddy’s parties. She did not accuse them specifically of participating in or knowing about the alleged freak offs. “I saw Busta Rhymes there, I saw Ja Rule there, I saw Diana Ross there with her son, Evan, who was underage,” she alleged of the Bad Boy founder’s infamous events.

“I saw Paris Hilton and Reverend Al Sharpton. I still wonder why Reverend Al Sharpton was there,” she also alleged. English claims that she agreed to dance at Diddy’s parties with no idea that she’d ever allegedly be expected to do anything more. “I agreed to do it because, heck yeah, I’m at an exclusive thing where Jay-Z was there, and Beyoncé – Diddy, all the big names… I didn’t know it was going to turn into anything sexual,” she alleged.
