Drake Hypes Up PARTYNEXTDOOR Collab Album Yet Again As Fans Demand A Release Date

One of this fall’s most quickly anticipated album releases is, without a doubt, Drake and PARTYNEXTDOOR’s upcoming collab album. It’s an OVO dream come true, especially after the decade-plus that both Toronto artists have spent crafting a sound together and displaying their chemistry. While we don’t have an official release date for it yet, the 6ix God teased at a fall drop, which might presumably carry over into the winter if that doesn’t manifest. But with how much he’s been hyping it up on social media, it feels like the record might be right around the corner.

For example, Drake recently posted an Instagram Reel of Toronto lit up at night as what seems like a Stake ad with a triple-dollar sign graphic, and it’s playing what sounds like a slightly slowed-down version of the PARTYNEXTDOOR P4 cut from this year, “N o C h i l l.” Of course, this isn’t a new song preview or anything like that, but it might hint at the sonic direction that the duo is aiming for this time around. Even though it doesn’t sound far off from their usual R&B fusions, it’s still exciting to hear what past work inspired them.

Drake’s Latest PND Collab Album Tease

Either that, or this is just a glorified Stake ad that has nothing to do with this collab album. Regardless, folks can’t wait for it to come out. But there’s a lot more conversation going on around Drake right now, even when it comes to his next musical moves. “He just love doing this s**t,” Rod Wave recently said of whether or not he plans to take a step back from the game. “He love the game. Like Brady… He at home like ‘What the f**k I’m finna do without this s**t?’”

Meanwhile, there’s another Drake collab on the way – not an album, but rather a single with Chino Pacas titled “Modo Capone.” Hearing him cross over into the Latine market again could make for a pretty unique link-up. At the very least, we hope that The Boy sings Spanish better than he did on “Gently” if he’s actually going to go multilingual. Jokes aside, we’ll see what he has in store.

Diddy’s Children And Mother Attend Court Hearing To Support Him

Diddy and his legal team got a lot of updates during his latest federal court hearing in New York on Thursday (October 10), whether it was a potential trial start date or other motions from them. The Bad Boy mogul wasn’t just accompanied by his attorneys, though, as all of his children (seemingly except for near-two-year-old Love) and his mother Janice reportedly attended the hearing in support of Sean Combs. TMZ obtained footage of them walking out of the courtroom hand in hand after their father’s (or son’s) hearing concluded. As such, it seems like the Combs family wants to present a united front.

However, other important updates during this court session didn’t make it clear whether or not Diddy succeeded in his third bail attempt, which would presumably reunite him with his family for at least some time. The judge stated that the court did not receive this third motion at the time of the hearing, so they were not able to rule on it. However, the next court date is reportedly in December, and it’s unclear whether the court will address this bail attempt before this date or exactly on it. Nevertheless, the court proposed a May 5, 2025 start date, and Combs’ lawyer Marc Agnifilo reportedly agreed.

Diddy’s Family Leaving Court

Still, it’s unclear whether the court needs to confirm this start date for the Diddy trial or if their agreement already sets it in stone. Regardless, this federal case will develop as more civil allegations and accusations continue to emerge, such as recent claims from one of Cassie’s songwriters. Tiffany Red recently told ABC about an allegedly nasty phone call between the singer and Combs that she claims to have witnessed, as well as other alleged rifts.

Meanwhile, Diddy’s twin daughters D’Lila and Jessie, plus his mother Janice, reportedly paid him a jail visit recently. This means that, even if the third bail attempt doesn’t go through, it seems like the family will still have space to spend time together. Amid this federal case and slew of allegations, this must feel like some slight reprieve. We’ll see how else the Combs family reacts to all these allegations.

In addition to that, there are some cuts about losing family and friends, whether that to be prison bars or simply passing away. The title track, for instance, is a dedication to his late uncle and manager Uncle Dee, who lost his life this past summer (via Hypebeast). At points, Rod does come across as unsure about his own life and how all of these tragedies happening around him will affect him in the long term.

The Minnesota Lynx pulled off one of the largest comebacks in WNBA Finals history, defeating the New York Liberty 95-93 in overtime to take Game 1 of the 2024 WNBA Finals. Down by 18 points early in the second quarter, the Lynx fought back multiple times throughout the game.

After cutting New York’s lead to two points in the third quarter, Minnesota faced a 15-point deficit with just five minutes remaining in the fourth. But the Lynx stormed back with an 18-2 run, capped by a four-point play from Courtney Williams, giving them their first lead with 5.5 seconds left. Breanna Stewart’s free throws sent the game to overtime, but Minnesota continued to battle.

Down four in the final minute of OT, New York rallied with steals and layups from Sabrina Ionescu and Jonquel Jones to tie the game. But with 8.8 seconds left, Lynx star Napheesa Collier hit a tough fadeaway jumper to seal the win. Stewart missed a layup on New York’s final possession, and Minnesota took Game 1.

Courtney Williams (23 points), Kayla McBride (22 points), and Collier (21 points, 8 rebounds, 6 blocks) led the Lynx, who now have a 74% chance to win the title, as teams that win Game 1 have done so 20 of 27 times. Collier’s performance puts her in elite company, joining Lisa Leslie and Sylvia Fowles as one of the few players with 20+ points, 8+ rebounds, and 5+ blocks in a Finals game.

In seeking its first-ever WNBA title, New York was led by Jonquel Jones (24 points) while Stewart and Ionescu struggled with 29.8% shooting.

Game 2 is set for Sunday.
