Young Thug Trial: Deputy Arrested For Allegedly Taking Bribes From YSL Codefendant’s Mother

The Young Thug trial continues to develop in odd and diverse ways, even if recent events don’t move the actual case along. Moreover, the latest update concerns a former Fulton County Sheriff’s Deputy, whom authorities reportedly arrested last week and hit with various charges. Moreover, authorities fired 31-year-old Kendra Bailey after accusations of accepting bribes to give inmates drugs and other forms of contraband. One of the inmates in question is Marquavious “Qua” Huey, one of Thugger’s codefendants in the YSL RICO case. Bailey’s specific charges are two counts of bribery, four counts of oath violation, and two counts of receiving and handing off banned materials to inmates without authorization.

“Ms. Bailey indirectly received money from inmate Marquavious Huey by accepting $500 from Ms. Malissa Huey [Qua’s mother] (via Apple Pay) on May 6, 2024,” the police report alleges. “This would cause a reasonable person to believe it influenced her job performance because Ms. Bailey failed to perform the official action of seizing contraband (e.g., substance appearing to be white pills) from inmate Huey.” It’s unclear whether this will affect the Young Thug and YSL trial in any way.

Furthermore, Bailey allegedly also received $1,000 from Qua’s sister in order to allow him in prohibited areas of his prison to sell drugs. Not only that, but an investigation concluded that she allegedly received $17,000 at a minimum from other trades and bribes with other inmates and their families. Finally, authorities allegedly found security footage of the former Sheriff’s Deputy using a “white styrofoam meal tray” to conceal the items that she was delivering to inmates. As of writing this article, this particular situation doesn’t implicate anyone else in the Young Thug and YSL trial.

As for other updates, this court case continues to break records. It became the longest trial in Georgia’s state history and its 45 motions for mistrial also etched it into the history books. We’ll see whether or not the near future holds any more significant updates for Young Thug and company. Perhaps the end of 2024 will bring us into a new era and timeline for the trial.

Diddy’s Ex-Bodyguard Alleges That Biggie’s Mother Co-Signs His Plan To Expose Mogul

Diddy is currently dealing with his fair share of legal issues. Last month, the Bad Boy founder was arrested in New York City and has since been behind bars at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn. He’s been hit with various charges related to alleged racketeering and sex trafficking and could end up serving serious time if convicted. According to his former bodyguard Gene Deal, however, these aren’t the only alleged crimes he should be exposed for.

During a recent episode of the Paperwork Party Podcast, he chatted with The Notorious B.I.G.’s mother, Voletta Wallace. Their conversation was brief, but during it, Wallace seemed to express her support for Deal. He then went on to gush about the interaction and the fact that she seemingly co-signed his efforts to expose Diddy. It’s speculated that he was referring to theories that Diddy was allegedly involved in Biggie and 2Pac’s murders, per AllHipHop.

Gene Deal & Voletta Wallace’s Conversation

“Did you hear that?” he asked. “She just said she be watching me. Go ahead and do what you do. Did you hear that? All muthaf*ckas that don’t give a f*ck about n***a, you just heard it from Big’s mama. Yeah.” Their conversation took place just a few months after Wallace weighed in on footage of Diddy allegedly assaulting Cassie at a hotel in 2016, which was released earlier this year.

“I’m sick to my stomach,” she told Rolling Stone at the time. “I’m praying for Cassie,” Wallace also added, “I’m praying for his mother. I don’t want to believe the things that I’ve heard, but I’ve seen [the hotel video], I pray that he apologizes to her […] I hope that I see Sean one day and the only thing I want to do is slap the daylights out of him. And you can quote me on that.” What do you think of Diddy’s ex-bodyguard Gene Deal alleging that Biggie’s mother supports his plan to expose Diddy? Today in Hip Hop history prolific South Bronx philosopher KRS-One released his second solo LP KRS-One (an acronym for Knowledge Reigns Supreme Over Nearly Everyone). With this album, the former Boogie Down Productions MC makes an attempt to reconnect with the younger scene in New York. The tone and style of this album fit more into the fold of popular rap music coming out of the Big Apple in ’95 allowing KRS-ONE to regain popularity among youthful Hip Hop fans.

With revamped production and features from the likes of Fat Joe, Busta Rhymes, Das EFX, and Mad Lion, this project only added to KRS-One’s repertoire. With this album KRS-One showed the could not only keep alive his brand of educational hardcore boom bap; but, that he could transition and taper his bars to a more high energy, party driven crowd.

Commercially, this album was a success. Peaking at #19 on the Billboard 200 and #2 on the Top R&B/Hip Hop Charts, it was obvious that KRS-One had yet to fade into the pages of Hip Hop history. Both critics and fans alike responded well to this slight style change, marking it as a moment of experimentation instead of accusing KRS-One of selling out. Fellow rap heavyweight also chimed in with their opinions of KRS-One work on the actual album. The LP is aced with interludes of radio shout-outs from rappers Method Man, Lord Finesse, Rakim, Jeru the Damaja, Mr. Magic, and even MC Shan who at one point had beef with Boogie Down Productions.

Dr. Dre Sued for $10 Million by Marriage Counselor, Accused of Harassment and Threats

Music producer Dr. Dre is facing a $10 million lawsuit from the psychiatrist who served as the marriage counselor and mediator during Dre’s divorce from his wife of 24 years, Nicole Young. According to Billboard, the counselor, Dr. Charles J. Sophy, claims Dre launched a “malicious campaign of harassment” against him, which included violent threats and homophobic slurs.

The lawsuit, filed on October 9 in a Los Angeles court, alleges that Dr. Dre (real name Andre Young) subjected Dr. Sophy to a nearly year-long series of threats and late-night texts following their mediation sessions. According to Dr. Sophy, he had “worked diligently” to help Dre and Nicole Young resolve their disputes both before and during their contentious divorce.

However, instead of viewing the mediation process as an opportunity for resolution, Dre allegedly took his frustrations out on Dr. Sophy. The producer’s anger manifested in what Dr. Sophy’s lawyer, Christopher Frost of Frost LLP, describes as a sustained campaign of “intimidation and violence” paired with offensive homophobic rhetoric.

The lawsuit is seeking monetary damages of at least $10 million, as well as a restraining order to prevent further harassment. At this time, a representative for Dr. Dre has not responded to requests for comment.

This lawsuit adds another chapter to the high-profile legal battles surrounding Dr. Dre’s divorce from Nicole Young, which began in 2020 after their 24-year marriage ended.

Today In Hip Hop History: Biz Markie’s ‘The Biz Never Sleeps’ LP Released 34 Years Ago

The “Diabolical” Biz dropped his second full length album 34 years ago today

A 25 year old Marcel Hall aka Biz Markie aka the Diabolical Biz put out his sophomore LP The Biz Never Sleeps thirty four years ago on this date.

After the success of his debut album Goin’ Off just a year prior, Biz dropped his second album on the Cold Chillin’/Warner Bros. imprint, which was highly anticipated because of the smash single “Just A Friend” leading the way. There were a few other singles like “Spring Again”, “Dedication”, and “Things Get A Little Easier” that were sure shot favorites of the harshest rap critics.

Unlike most of Biz’s work, this album was done without the help of production legend DJ Marley Marl, with Cool V and Biz himself doing the lion’s share of the work behind the boards. This was also the project that landed the L.I. beatbox/DJ/emcee in hot water due to sampling issues, which was magnified in Hip Hop almost single-handedly due to this certified gold classic. With tidbits of music from everyone from Kraftwerk to Curtis Mayfield, this kaleidoscopic Hip Hop journey will forever be etched in music history.

Saute to Biz Mark, DJ Cutmaster Cool V, Paul C, Fly Ty and everyone else for bring this musical gem!

SOURCE SPORTS: Mets Beat Phillies 4-1 After Lindor Walk-Off Grand Slam, Advance To NLCS

After going scoreless through the sixth inning, Mets’ MVP and the team’s “ironman” Francisco Lindor rocks a grand slam in the bottom of the sixth to give the Kings from Queens the lead and ultimately the victory over the Philadelphia Phillies 4-1. The Amazins took the third win in four games against the Phils, moving on to their chance to win the pennant.

There was a lot of pressure on Philly, being behind in the NLDS series 2-1 against the Mets on top of attempting to close that deficit in Citi Field. The Phils jump out to take the lead with a double from right fielder Nick Castellanos in the fourth inning, which drove Bryce Harper to third and eventually home on a fielder’s choice. The Mets answered back in the sixth with a bases loaded dinger to center field, giving the Metropolitans a 4-1 lead that they held until the end.

Jose Quintana held Philly to just two hits in five innings, striking out six and only allowing one run, but David Peterson walked away with the win after keeping the Phillies from scoring through the eighth, only allowing two hits in two innings. Mets bullpen ace Edwin Diaz closed out the last inning with two strike out, fanning Kody Clemens for the last out of the game, locking in the Mets’ spot in the 2024 NLCS Series.

The Mets are now pennant contenders, taking on the winners of the Dodgers vs. Padres NLDS series, which is now tied 2-2. Ohtani and the Dodgers will host Tatis Jr. and the Padres tomorrow in Los Angeles to see who will face the Mets. The winner will represent the national League in this year’s World Series.
