‘SNL’ Let Pete Davidson And Jack Harlow Explain NFTs In Another Eminem Parody

As confusing and head-scratching as it might be from afar, NFTs continue to become more popular in the digital world. From the sports world to the music and art world, creators and consumers are taking advantage of the opportunity to respectively sell and own a digitally exclusive piece of art. For those who are still trying to grasp the new concept of NFTs, however, Saturday Night Live tapped Pete Davidson and recent musical guest Jack Harlow to give an explainer about the growing form digital cryptocurrency.

The sketch takes place in a fictional classroom where students have just finished listening to a lecture from the Secretary Of Treasury Janet Yellen, who is played by Kate McKinnon. Pete Davidson takes advantage of her presence to ask a question. Soon, the beat from Eminem’s 2000 hit, “Without Me” begins playing in the background and, just like the Detroit rapper did in the song’s music video, Davidson is seen rocking a Robin superhero costume.

He asked what an NFT is through a rapid-fire rap that, all in all, left everyone in the room confused. Despite help from Chris Redd, who was an obvious Dr. Dre lookalike, they failed to receive an answer to the question. Thankfully, Jack Harlow, who played a nosy janitor, stepped into the classroom to give a more digestible explanation of NFTs with some raps of his own.

Check out the sketch in the video above.

Nick Young Calls Out Lil Nas X For Satan Worship, Lil Nas X Responds

Lil Nas X’s brand new song “MONTERO” has led to a lot of reactions on social media, and there are some people out there who are extremely offended by what he put out. Of course, the music video features Lil Nas X giving Satan a lap dance, which is the main scene that has many freaking out online. The overreactions have been pretty hilarious to witness, although some are taking it much further than others.

For instance, retired NBA player Nick Young took to Twitter saying that in his household, Lil Nas X will no longer be played. “My kids will never play Old Town road again. I’m still debating about wearing @Nike after this come nike a drop of blood for real.” This then led to a response from Lil Nas X, which was sarcastic in nature.

“They shouldn’t be playing old town road anyway, we streaming call me by your name now,” he said. Young did not give a retort to Lil Nas X on this one although it’s clear the young artist doesn’t care about what Swaggy P has to say.

The former NBA star had a big problem with the new Nike Air Max 97 that is coming out in Nas’ honor, although at this point, we don’t think the “Old Town Road” artist really cares. Those joints are going to sell out instantly, no matter who does or doesn’t co-sign them.

Draya Michele Shares Stunning Shots In Sheer Top

When it comes to delivering consistently sultry photos on Instagram, Draya Michele is always someone you can count on. While her looks and persona are enough to earn her public acclaim, her time in the spotlight has not been without controversy. Most recently and notably, the 36-year-old reality star lost her Savage x Fenty sponsorship after making a poorly executed joke regarding Megan thee Stallion and Tory Lanez’s relationship. She has apologized profusely for the remarks and hasn’t been involved in any other high-scrutiny scandals since. Amping up for a big career jump this year, the model took some time to share some scandalous shots.

In the photos, Draya flaunted her stunning figure in a skintight, sheer, caramel-colored patterned top. Appearing braless, she paired the bold fit with an extremely high slit miniskirt in a pale-white shade.

She added strappy tan heels and a matching Louis Vuitton bag. Giving a fierce strut in the respective photoset, she styled her hair in protective dreads and stunner shades. Scroll through the alluring photos below.

“It didn’t need 4 slides but consider it a bonus or whatever,” she wrote, referencing the gallery view she had offered fans of the sexy look.

The photos arrive as the reality TV alum has been spotted out shooting her 10-part docu-series “Doses of Draya.” Despite losing her lucrative deal with Rihanna’s best-selling lingerie line, she seems to be doing pretty well in other departments. She released a collab with popular brand Oh Polly in 2020 and landed herself her own Doses of Draya docu-series after appearing on Basketball Wives LA.

Speaking on the venture, she explained, “As a woman of color, I couldn’t be more excited to be working with Zeus, a Black-owned streaming service, to share my story, and to let people into my daily life in a way I never really have before.”

Lil Durk & Lil Baby Take A Private Jet To Hit The Studio For Joint Mixtape

nquiring about a collaborative project It was only a few weeks ago when fans began inquiring about a collaborative project from Lil Baby and Lil Durk. The pair have showcased the strength of their chemistry over the past year but it seems that even they have understood the power they have when they’re on wax together. So, they confirmed that a collaborative project would happen and they’ve continued to share very small updates on the status of the project which largely consists of the two hanging out together.

The project appears to be at the forefront of their minds right now. Just a few weeks ago, both artists hinted that the project would be arriving “so soon.” They appear to still be clocking in hours in the studio so it’s unclear how soon this project could arrive. However, they’re still keeping fans on their toes. The two shared footage of themselves on a private plane, though it’s unclear what their location is. Shortly after, they shared footage of the two in the studio, working away. The joint effort from the Chicago rapper and Atlanta artist is reportedly called, The Voice Of The Heroes

A collab project from the two artists couldn’t come at a better time in their careers. Durk is riding high off of the release of The Voice and is continuing to push the latest OTF compilation, Loyal Bros. As for Baby, he’s fresh off of the Grammys stage. Though he didn’t leave with any awards, his performance was undoubtedly the most talked about.

Yung Miami Shares Footage Welcoming Mother Home From Prison

It’s been around four years since Keenya Young, the mother of City Girls’ rapper Yung Miami, had been sentenced to five years behind bars and 10 years probation in connection with a hit and run incident that happened back in 2009. Sentenced in 2017, it seems like she was even granted an early release by the state of Florida. Previously, we reported that City Girls’ rapper Yung Miami had announced her mother’s scheduled release from prison on Saturday (March 27) on her Twitter account.

Jack Harlow Makes His ‘SNL’ Debut With Performances Of ‘Tyler Herro,’ ‘What’s Poppin’ And ‘Same Guy’

There’s no denying the success of Jack Harlow. The Louisville spitter took the music world by storm at the beginning of 2020 thanks to the success of his “What’s Poppin” and closed out the year with the release of his debut album That’s What They Say. In between it all, he peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard singles chart, landed multiple guest features, and proved that he was here to stay in the industry. While his 2020 success is behind him, Harlow continues to deliver impressive moments and the latest example came through his debut performance on Saturday Night Live.

Harlow began the night by giving an energetic rendition of “Tyler Herro” and “What’s Poppin.” Dressed in all black under purple and blue and supported by a talented live band, the rapper’s sheer confidence was on full display on stage to start the night. Later on in the show, he returned with Maroon 5’s Adam Levine to perform “Same Guy,” another highlight from That’s What They Say. This performance came with a much lighter atmosphere as the duo sang about recognizing their bad qualities as men and expressing their desire to change and improve.

The SNL set comes after Harlow brought his talents to NPR’s Tiny Desk for a soulful performance of multiple songs from That’s What They Say. He also recently shared a video for “Route 66” off the album.

You can watch the performances in the video above.

Maya Rudolph Brought Her Beyonce Impression To ‘Hot Ones’ In A Hilariously Throwback ‘SNL’ Sketch

Maya Rudolph warned during her opening monologue that she would be wearing lots of wigs and doing impressions on Saturday Night Live, and thankfully for us that meant bringing back her Beyonce impression. The former cast member had hosting duties in its latest episode, and thankfully for us that meant a throwback-feeling segment about a very modern concept: Beyonce appearing on the web show Hot Ones to eat some very spicy chicken wings.

The sketch is a throwback to the era in which Rudolph thrived. It’s an absurd concept to begin with: the most famous musician in the world showing up on a show where you eat spicy wings and promote something while answering softball questions. But it’s a sketch that actually critiques not just the thing it’s parodying — an incredibly popular YouTube show — but Beyonce’s notorious attempts to control her image in the media.

Seeing Beyonce struggle with absurdly-named hot wing sauces and curse out the host, played by Mikey Day, is a departure from anything we’ve seen from the actual singer in years. At one point, Rudolph’s Beyonce is so overcome by the heat of the wings that she asked her stylist to take her wig off, put ice cubes in it and put it back on. Her “publicist” then stepped in to refuse to let that happen on camera.

The joke here is, after years of carefully cultivating her image in the public eye, Beyonce would never do anything like this. Or at least we’d never find out about it. Later, realizing just how many more wings she still needs to endure, she has her manager step in to call the whole thing off, with non-disclosure agreements all around to make sure no evidence of it ever happening.

It was great to see Rudolph play a character that’s not Kamala Harris and be free of the political news cycle that brought her back to the SNL stage at various points over the last year. And it was a strong start to an episode that reminded many viewers of the kind of sketch that was more common when Rudolph was a more permanent member of the show’s cast.
