Lecrae Drops Smooth New Single “Lift Me Up” With BEAM

After being mentioned in Kendrick Lamar’s latest track, an untitled release referred to colloquially as “Watch The Party Die,” Lecrae has seen some renewed interest in his music. The Christian rapper with two decades of experience dropped his latest single, “Lift Me Up,” featuring singer BEAM. The track is the first since “Die For The Party,” his response to Kendrick’s track. Of course, there is some irony in BEAM’s involvement. Kendrick mentioned him by name twice, first on “euphoria” and again on “6:16 In LA,” where he asserts that the talented singer is one of Drake’s writers.

As far as the track is concerned, “Lift Me Up” is not as dense as some of Lecrae’s other work. The beat, co-produced by BEAM, is light with some 808s. Moreover, the real focus of the track is on BEAM’s vocal performance. Lecrae’s verses are short and to the point, rapping about struggles he’s experienced in his personal life. He questions if God will be there to help “lift him up.” “When it all goes dark, lift me up, lift me up, lift me up,” BEAM repeats on the hook, reinforcing the themes of Lecrae’s verses. Lecrae has not announced much about his forthcoming album except that he’s working on one. It is not clear if this will be on the album or if it’s a one-off to tide fans over until he’s ready to share more details about what he’s been working on. Until more announcements come, check out the new song below.

Lecrae & BEAM – “Lift Me Up”

Quotable Lyrics:

Yeah, so blinded
Give out so much love, I don’t know where to find it
What I’m feelin’ right now, I can’t definе it
Overwhelmed ovеr things I’m reminded
Yeah, livin’ underneath
So much pain, I go through life with no relief
Sunday morning, lift my head to find my peace

Real Boston Richey Delivers A Sequel To His Hit “Help Me” On New EP “Go Richey”

Real Boston Richey hasn’t been as active in 2024 as in years prior, but he’s made up for it in a different way. At the end of May, the Tallahassee, Florida talent dropped his “Help Me” single and it blew up. The song was trending on YouTube in its first few days thanks to an early explosion in views. What’s really wild is that almost five months later, and the video for it is still ranking extremely high. The Freebandz signee has racked up over 23 million plays, which equates to the 14th top music video.

Go Richey, Go Richey, Go Richey! Ironically, that’s the name for his new EP, although, we’d be lying if we said we didn’t try and make that pun on purpose. Jokes aside, though, Real Boston Richey has two new songs following the aforementioned track’s success. One of them is “Go Richey” and the other is in fact a sequel to “Help Me”. It does a solid job connecting the themes to the original, as he seems like he’s wanting to settle down with one woman as opposed to messing around with a few. While it might be more of a tender cut, it’s still got some outrageous bars. Just trust us and listen for yourself with the links below.

Quotable Lyrics From “Help Me 2”:

She be f***in’ me good, she all up in my head like a chromosome
Every time I see my bae, put the d**k in her face like a microphone
You so fine on FaceTime, sometime, bae I just wanna f*** the phone
I be adding that money to Cash App, every time I hear you moan
Bet I caught me on, whenever I’m trickin’, that’s just what I’m on
Read it or leave all the money up in your purse, when you wake I might be gone

As for the album, this comes on the heels of November 20203’s Tee’s Coney Island and it’s subsequent deluxe. Leading up to Post Traumatic, there were quite a few singles, including collaborations. But there’s a new joint track between Tee Grizzley and Hunxho that were liking quite a bit.

This another big moment for Hunxho, as the Atlanta native was just selected to the 2024 XXL Freshman class. Furthermore, he was an opener for Sexxy Red on her latest tour, Sexyy Red 4 President. Overall, we feel that “I Ain’t Sorry”, there newest offering is much stronger than its predecessor. From mixing to the performances, it’s vast improvement in all aspects. Jaden May Be Referencing The Toxic Khleopatre & Sab Zada Debacle With “D.U.M.B.”

Jaden seems to be going for a cringey young love aesthetic lately because he’s doing more of the same on “D.U.M.B.” We say this because his latest release, “”Roses”, had some fairly cringey lyrics, especially on the third verse. There, he seemed to address his complicated relationship with Kylie Jenner. The writing comes across as a teenager’s who never had the courage to tell a girl how he really felt about her. But this seems to be following the formula he’s shooting for, as Jaden is getting ready to drop a new EP on October 18.

It’s titled, 2024: A Case Study of the Long Term Effects of Young Love, and it will feature four songs. What’s also seems to be true about what Jaden is doing here is that he’s going to be penning cuts about his past high-profile relationships. With “D.U.M.B.” we couldn’t help but notice the timing of the track, as well as the lyrics. “Puffin’ zillows on that lil’ boat, it was us (Yeah, yeah) / I put diamonds in your pillows, paid your bills and made you c*m / Got you rollin’ on the road, a brand-new truck“. We may be reading too much into this, but it appears that this a direct callback to him and Khleopatre’s viral photos on a sailboat in Ibiza where they shared some intense smooches. It was discovered that Jaden was there with now ex Sab Zada just days prior, meaning that he was cheating. She has since retaliated with rapper Diablo, posting pics with him on social media not too long after. With both of these songs out, we can only imagine what will be in store for the remaining releases.

Quotable Lyrics:

I think I’m done with you, but you like a drug (Like a drug)
I was out there in the sun with you tryna soak it up (Soak it up)
My homies thought you were the one, now we f***in’ broken up
Yeah, we f***in’ broken up, yeah, we fuckin’ broken up
I saw y’all talkin’ in the parking lot, I almost broke it up
You know Gunna hit me on the phone, told me everything, girl, I know what’s up

Rich Homie Quan Posthumously Disses Gunna On New Song “One Of Quan”

Rich Homie Quan and Young Thug made magic together on wax. The duo, under the moniker Rich Gang, dropped the classic single “Lifestyle” in 2014. Tensions got in the way, leading to some distance over the years, but the two artists always had respect for each other. It’s tragic, then to see what was happened to both men. Rich Homie Quan has passed, and Thug is currently being tried on a RICO charge. They’ll never get to the chance to reconcile on record, and resurrect Rich Gang (or a version of it). That said, it was obvious that Quan still felt the need to take Thug’s side when it came to Gunna.

Gunna’s actions during the YSL trial has led many rappers to look at him sideways. Many believe he took a plea deal and effectively left his label boss holding the bag. This has opened him up to several disses. Young Thug’s kids went after him on social media. Kendrick Lamar used him as a negative example on the song “Euphoria.” And Rich Homie Quan, who recently put out the posthumous album, Forever Goin’ In. has gotten in to the trend. The rapper really went after Gunna on the song “One of Quan,” right down to riffing on the title of the recent Gunna album, One of Wun.

Rich Homie Quan Accused Gunna Of Biting His Style

The song sees Rich Homie Quan address the allegation that he stole Gunna’s flow and used it on several of his albums. His rebuttal? Fans had it twisted. As far as he was concerned, Gunna bite from him. “They probably gon think I took over Gunna flow, but this my cadence and I made it,” he angrily raps. “N**gas was stealing the swag I was just sitting back and I wouldn’t even say sh*t.” Not only does he claim that the YSL stalwart jacked his style, but he claims he wasn’t even bothered enough to call him out. You’d think a diss like this would garner more attention, but it’s only because another rapper dissed Gunna on the same exact night.

The day that Rich Homie Quan’s posthumous album dropped, Ferg dropped the single “Allure.” The song featured a guest verse from Future, another longtime friend of Young Thug. His Gunna disses were even more savage than Quan’s. Future Hendrix implied that a premature death is awaiting Gunna because of what he did to Young Thug, and he doesn’t even dress the sentiment up with euphemisms. He just flat out says it. “You done took a plea on my slime,” Future spits. “Won’t be surprised if you ended up dead.” Gunna is getting it from every direction these days. No wonder he’s in the gym so often.

50 Cent Ruthlessly Clowns Diddy Again After Old Clip Resurfaces: Watch

50 Cent has never hid his disdain for Diddy. He was seemingly ahead of the curve by a couple of years, as everybody in the music industry has resorted to mocking the Bad Boy mogul. Given the allegations made against him, the mockery makes sense. 50 Cent is the originator, however. An interview began to circulate of Friday, October 4, and it dated back to 2018. Diddy wasn’t involved, but he was the topic of conversation. 50 Cent then reposed the clip and threw in some more digs at the mogul in the caption.

The interview took place on The Breakfast Club. 50 Cent was promoting the film Den of Thieves along with his co-stars, O’Shea Jackson, Jr. and Gerard Butler. The other two had more prominent roles in the film, but it’s obvious that 50 is leading the interview. The whole line of questioning has to do with 50’s disdain for Diddy. Charlamagne tha God then proceeds to read a comment that the rapper made with regards to Diddy. “Sorry I can no longer help you guys,” the comment stated. “Soon you will all be gay and happy. You are all now left under the leadership of Puffy Daddy. Report to the nearest rainbow.”

50 Cent Joked About Diddy’s Sexuality On Instagram

The comment drew laughter from everybody in the room. 50 Cent, never one to miss an opportunity to troll, doubled down on his 2018 roast in the caption. “I just want to apologize for being heterosexual,” he wrote. “I understand it’s offensive these days. I’m sorry I was born this way, I hope you can accept me in the new world.” 50 has repeatedly alluded to Diddy’s sexuality over the years, and another viral clip saw him roast the mogul for trying to take him shopping. “I thought that was the weirdest sh*t in the world,” he recalled. “Because that might be something that a man says to a woman.”

50 Cent is, of course, laughing all the way to the bank. The rapper is currently in the midst of working on a Diddy documentary for Netflix. The documentary sold for an undisclosed amount, but 50 is excited to spread the word. “This is a story with significant human impact,” the rapper told Variety. “It is a complex narrative spanning decades, not just the headlines or clips seen so far.”

Gunna Teases New Song After Allegedly Being Dissed By Future

Gunna is in a strange place. He’s wildly successful, and his last album, One of Wun, was well liked by fans. He also has become a target for many rappers who once considered him a friend. He’s been on the outs with Young Thug ever since the YSL case was filed. Understandably so, since many believe that the rapper cut a deal to save his own neck. There’s nothing to prove this theory, but that hasn’t stopped the rappers on the outside from targeting Gunna. Future, a former friend, just did so on the song “Allure.” It hasn’t stopped Gunna from grinding, though. In fact, he seemingly responded by teasing new music.

Gunna posted a video on social media October 4. The video saw the rapper putting in work at the gym, while a previously unreleased song plays in the background. Gunna looks menacing as he runs on the treadmill, and the catchy instrumental underneath him helps. The snippet is produced by Turbo, and it has an extremely catchy hook courtesy of Gunna as well. We don’t get to hear more than 20 seconds of the song, but it’s a surprising revelation. One of Wun dropped on May 10, and Gunna already seems to be in the lab, cooking up something new.

Gunna Teased New Music During A Workout Video

The timing of this snippet seems intentional. There’s nothing in Gunna’s lyrics to suggest that he’s firing shots back at Future, but the turnaround is notable. It could have potentially been a tactical move to draw attention away from Pluto’s verse, and enthrall viewers with the possibility of new Gunna music instead. That said, Future’s bars on “Allure” are going to be tough to forget. The Ferg collab is extremely catchy, and Pluto damn near steals the show with a surprisingly combative verse. “You done took a plea on my slime,” the ATL icon spits. “Won’t be surprised if you ended up dead.”

Not a lot of reading between the lines needed on that one. Gunna and Future used to collaborate on a regular basis, but the latter’s fidelity to Young Thug has ended their relationship. Pluto considers Thug to be his twin, so there was no chance that a perceived enemy of Thug was going to remain in the rapper’s good graces. Still, Gunna is doing his thing. The rapper was recently honored, alongside LL Cool J and Usher, at the Black Music Action Coalition Gala.
