Fast and the Furious just keeps on running. The ninth installment of the series (if you include the Hobbs & Shaw spin-off, it would be the tenth) finally hit theaters after a very long delay. The pandemic forced the film back over a year, making it four years since fans got to see Dominic Toretto and his crew.

F9 opened to a monstrous $70 million debut at the weekend box office. It set a new pandemic-era record for North America and is the biggest domestic opening since Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker back in December 2019. globally, F9 has brought in $400 million. F9 was released early in several countries due to less restrictive pandemic regulations. Last week, the Fast series became the fifth-biggest franchise in the world with $6.2 billion. That puts them just above the X-Men franchise.

The film’s diverse cast includes Vin Diesel, Tyrese Gibson, Michelle Rodriguez, Chris Ludacris Bridges, Nathalie Emmanuel, Kurt Russell and Charlize Theron. Cardi B also debuts as a new character while Ozuna makes a cameo. The film is playing in 4,179 theaters in North America, which is the most of any movie since the pandemic began. 

Fresh off his partnership with Harvard’s new music program, IDK has inked himself another deal, this time with Nike. The UK rapper took to Twitter on Thursday to announce that he’s apart of “team swoosh.”

“The ink just dried. Im officially apart of of the Swoosh family. ✓ @nike,” he tweeted out while sharing a couple pictures of his Nike cake that he celebrated with. Although its unclear what the deal is for, it looks like IDK will be designing some exclusive sneakers.

On Friday, IDK decided to share another clip on twitter, this time of him designing some blank Nike Air Force One’s, presumably working on his new deal. During which, he had an unreleased Young Thug feature playing in the background that he said was on the way. Called “PradadaBang,” the song finds Thugger rapping: “I’m at the bed, beatin’ it down/ Pray for I make all my rounds/ I beat that ho with no sound/ Bitch, know I’m YSL-bound / Know half a mil’ for a show, ho/ watch me control the whole crowd/ Jewelry on, ain’t no choice but be loud/ Ice on my neck like I drowned.” Take a listen (below) and let us know what you think.

It looks like Master P is really serious about becoming a NBA coach. After reports surfaced this week that the former No-Limit boss wanted to become the head coach of the New Orlean Pelicans, it appears he’s already taking the appropriate actions to do so.

TMZ recently caught up with P in Beverly Hills and asked him to talk further about his NBA coaching aspirations, which he said he’s already hired a couple agents from Roc Nation. And not just any agents, the Raymond Brothers.

“Right now, I just hired a sports agent,” P says. “One of the best in the world, The Raymond Brothers. He’s the President of Basketball for Roc Nation.” “He’s a good friend of mine and he knows what he’s doing,” P added.

As for his knowledge of the game, P says he’s more than capable of a leadership role with the Pels. “I’m not an X and O coach, but I understand people management. We don’t need another X and O coach. (Stan) Van Gundy was an X and O coach, it didn’t work. Times have changed. I think I have the best people management skills than any NBA coach can have.”

Continuing on, Master P added that he’s already got support from former coach & player John Lucas, who would be his X and O guy. “I talked to John Lucas, he’s willing to support me and come with me on this journey. So, I will have John Lucas that knows the X’s and O’s on the staff with me to make this happen. So, I got all the pieces to the puzzle.”

Justin Bieber arrived at his home and witnessed the number of fans that were anticipating his return. Bieber is usually grateful and pleasant to his fans. However, the “Let It Go” singer was displeased with his fans this time around.

In a viral clip that’s been circulating social media, Justin Bieber is seen arriving at his apartment building with his security team. Before entering, the fans outside of his building started clamoring for his attention in anticipation of a photo with Bieber.

“I hear you, I hear you, but this is my home. This is where I live, and I don’t appreciate you guys being here,” he told the group of supporters outside of his home. “You guys can be anywhere, but please just not my home. You know at the end of the night when you come home and you wanna relax? Like, this is my space.”

After the “Peaches” singer’s exchange with the fans, one daring individual out of the bunch still persisted in taking a selfie with him. Bieber swiftly shut down the request, replying, “No, not right now.” His security team then told everyone that they had to leave.

Justin Bieber has been increasingly vocal about his privacy. In an interview with GQ Magazine, as well as his documentary Seasons, Bieber stated that he was living a healthier life and learning how to maintain his privacy for the sake of his mental health.
