Fivio Foreign Drops Funk Flex Freestyle On His Second Day Out

Fivio Foreign is back and he’s not wasting any time. The New York drill rapper was released from jail this week and on his second day back home, he stopped by Funk Flex’s radio show to deliver an eye-catching freestyle, where he references his incarceration, how he kept busy while locked up, and more.

The 31-year-old recording artist starts by shouting out the inmates he became friendly with behind bars before cracking a joke about how he got locked up in the first place. “I tried to run but they caught me,” he raps at the beginning of the freestyle. If you recall, Fivio was initially nabbed by the police after he fled on foot before a gun fell out of his pants. The gun was retrieved and Fivio was arrested, spending the next three months in jail.

In his new freestyle, the drill star references the thousand push-ups he did with his bunkie to keep fit, one particular female correctional officer who had eyes for the rapper, and more. Listen below.

Welcome back, Fivio!

Quotable Lyrics:

I mix the commissary with the lunch meat
I did a thousand push-ups with my bunkie
He said he’d do a n***a if he want me
Female C.O. acting like she want me
I got my feet up, eatin’, feelin’ comfy
I called my bitch, she told me that she love me
She said she couldn’t wait to get to hug me
Fucked me on the first day that she looked
I was stinky, and I was reflectin’
I got a question for the reverend, if you kill a killer do you go to heaven?

Two Swedish Rappers Jailed For Kidnapping Rival Artist In Criminal Network Shakedown

Two commercially successful and award-winning rappers from Sweden were sentenced to prison in a major criminal organization takedown this week. The sweeping case has convicted 25 other individuals, including a top local soccer player. Yasin Mahamoud and Haval Khalil, who have gained notoriety as artists under the respective stage names of Yasin and HAVAL, were two of the most surprising people involved in the criminal network, however. They were both found guilty and sentenced for the kidnapping of an unnamed rival artist that took place in April 2020.

According to HipHopDX, Yasin tried to lure the victim to a recording studio in Stockholm in March 2020, but after his initial kidnapping plot unraveled, HAVAL successfully carried it out one month later, beating and robbing the victim without Yasin’s direct involvement.

Still, both of the rappers were found guilty in the situation. Yasin Mahamoud was sentenced to 10 months in prison despite denying his involvement, and HAVAL was handed a heftier sentence of 2.5 years. According to HipHopDX, however, the combined years that everyone in the Swedish criminal network takedown received totals out to 147 years, with the organization’s leader, 33-year-old Chihab Lamouri, receiving the longest sentence at nearly 18 years in jail.

According to HipHopDX, Yasin was actually named Artist of the Year and Hip Hop/RnB Artist of the Year at Sweden’s P3 Gold Awards in March, and HAVAL has been racking up millions of streams following his 2020 project INLOGGAD.

Flo Milli & Rubi Rose Show Out In XXL Cypher With Pooh Shiesty & 42 Dugg

The women took over with strong showings in the latest XXL Freshman cypher, including Rubi Rose, Flo Milli, Pooh Shiesty, and 42 Dugg.

While the world continues to talk about Coi Leray’s freestyle from the other day, Blxst and Toosii came through with a strong cypher effort before XXL uploaded the most recent video, featuring lyrical showcases from four other 2021 Freshmen. Sliding over a Nick Mira-produced beat, Rubi Rose started off the party and, according to the fans, she may have had the standout showing here. She was followed by Pooh Shiesty, who came through with a stop-start flow that distracted from Rubi’s display earlier. Flo Milli came through with bubbly and raunchy bars to follow through, shining over the production before 42 Dugg closed out the affair.

“Pretty little face, but this body like a porn star/Shiesty little bitch, yeah, you know I’m going too far,” rapped Rubi Rose in her verse, looking over at Pooh and attempting to recreate the viral moment between Latto and Fivio Foreign last year

“He finna treat me right ’cause I’m a lady, but I got him fucking me like I’m a hoe/It ain’t nobody who do it like Milli/It ain’t nobody who hotter than Flo,” bragged Flo Milli in her verse.

Leaked Kremlin Documents Detail Plan To Help Elect Donald Trump In 2016: Report

The Guardian has published leaked documents from Russia that reportedly confirm Vladimir Putin authorized an operation to support the presidential campaign of Donald Trump in 2016 through a “multi-agency effort.”

A meeting between the Russian president, his spy chiefs, and senior ministers was held on Jan. 22, 2016, during which all parties agreed that a Trump White House would be beneficial to the interests of Moscow.

“It is acutely necessary to use all possible force to facilitate his [Trump’s] election to the post of US president,” the paper says.

It also says that a Trump win “will definitely lead to the destabilization of the US’s sociopolitical system.”

Additionally, the documents cite numerous American weaknesses, which include a “deepening political gulf between left and right” of the political spectrum, the US’s “media-information” space, and a rising anti-establishment mood under former President Barack Obama.

The documents also suggest that the Kremlin has compromising material about Trump, and that the former host of The Apprentice suffers from “an inferiority complex” and is “impulsive, mentally unstable and unbalanced.”

The authenticity of the documents was verified by independent experts cited in the Guardian’s report.

A spokesperson for the Kremlin responded by calling the claims “pulp fiction.”

42 Dugg, Flo Milli, Pooh Shiesty, And Rubi Rose Take Over The 2021 ‘XXL’ Freshman Cypher

The next installment of the 2021 XXL Freshman Cypher is here. For this round, viral favorites 42 Dugg, Flo Milli, Pooh Shiesty, and Rubi Rose take on another hypnotic Nick Mira production to display their varying takes of the annual tradition.

Rubi Rose sets things off with a fittingly raunchy verse in her signature husky verse, followed by a braggadocious, bouncy approach from Pooh Shiesty. Flo Milli drops in and steals the show, turning up the energy with both her bright looks and quirky punchlines, leaving 42 Dugg to bring the baton home with a laid-back verse.

While Blxst and Toosii’s Cypher was competent and the first group of MCs was uneven but attention-grabbing, this year’s batch of Freshmen has certainly added to growing sense that hip-hop’s women are doing more to stand out than the men. So far, the consensus MVP of this year’s Freshmen has been Lakeyah, who’s sharp wit and precise flow impressed fans, while Flo Milli brought something a little different with her perky output. Even Coi Leray, maligned as her performance has been, brought something different to the table and looked like she was having fun instead of just trying to look cool.

deadmau5 And ‘Core’ Are Teaming Up To Create A Music Video

One of the best trends in video games today is the rise of creation tools. From Super Mario Maker to Dreams, gamers are gaining access to more tools that let them make their own fun, the result of which are some really creative ideas from players.

This creativity and ability to make anything we want in games is starting to get noticed outside the gaming industry. deadmau5, one of the most well-known electronic music producers out there, sees the potential in giving players the ability to create and is offering players of the game Core an opportunity to put their creativity to the test. Players using Core can try to use the tools inside the game to create a deadmau5 music video for his new single, “Lights.”

“I’ve been blown away by the creativity I’ve seen on Core,” deadmau5 said. “Some of my passions are game, experience, and world design, and Core’s capabilities as a platform and its creators who are capable of doing all kinds of cool stuff are the next level in user generated art and experiences. I’m looking forward to checking out what fans and artists will create for my new single with ‘Lights.’”

This is a big win for Manticore Games, the developer of Core. Not only is this an opportunity to advertise their game, but it gives them the chance to really show what the community around Core is capable of as the kind of game that’s all about showing what players can do when they’re handed the reins.

“We’re thrilled that deadmau5 shares our passion for putting the power of artistic expression in as many creators’ hands as possible,” said Jordan Maynard, the chief creative officer and co-founder Manticore Games. “Core is more than just a place to play and make games; it has endless potential for new forms of social interactivity and artistry. We can’t wait to see the worlds our creators bring alive for the new video, and we look forward to working together with deadmau5 on future projects.”

Budweiser Pays Homage To The Notorious B.I.G

The late Notorious B.I.G has been widely celebrated as the King Of New York, respected as one of hip-hop’s greatest lyricists of all time to this day. For those who grew up in the midst of Biggie’s run, the dexterous, playful, and occasionally brutal rhymer was among the most exciting emcees to witness, with seemingly no style he couldn’t pull off.

With his reach having extended far beyond hip-hop culture through undeniable hits like “Hypnotize,” “Big Poppa,” and “Mo Money Mo Problems,” it’s no wonder his legacy remains celebrated by all walks of life. Now, Budweiser has come forward to pay homage to Biggie Smalls with an official collaboration with The Christopher Wallace Estate.

The self-proclaimed “King Of Beers” took to Twitter to announce the arrival of The Notorious B.I.G. Tall Boy Budweiser Cans. Available exclusively in New York, the can includes several of Big’s “Unbelievable” bars emblazoned at the top. Big’s borough Brooklyn is also represented to the fullest, with a view of the Brooklyn Bridge depicted in the can’s bottom corner. It’s certainly a fitting tribute to the late legend, and while it’s likely some fans will grumble at the New York exclusivity, perhaps we’ll one day see a more widespread run in the future.

Big’s mother Voletta Wallace had nothing but kind words to say about the collaboration, issuing a statement shared by HipHopDX. “I am honored to know that a brand such as Budweiser wanted to celebrate my son in this way,” she states. “Christopher’s legacy and brand value is extremely important to myself and the family and memorializing him on the can of an iconic beer brand as Budweiser is something I believe he would be happy with.”

Check out the design for the Notorious B.I.G Tall Boy Can, which Budweiser Group VP Marketing Daniel Blake describes as “the most iconic can collaboration we’ve done to date,” below.
