Rylo Rodriguez Will Allegedly Turn Himself In This Week: Report

Rylo Rodriguez, the Mobile, Alabama rapper most commonly associated with rap superstar Lil Baby, under his 4PF record label, recently posted a message on his Instagram account that has fans pondering its true meaning. The Instagram story, which was a simply plain black background with white text sprawled across, said “Turning myself in this week,” with zero clarification or follow-up.

It is evident from the wording of the caption that Rylo has caught some sort of heat and attention for an undisclosed criminal activity, but there hasn’t been any clear indication yet as to what he could be alluding to, since the initial post went live. Things tend to move fast when you’re in the music industry – Rylo was just spotted over the weekend shooting a music video with Lil Baby and EST Gee for the latter’s song “5500 Degrees.” Check out a behind-the-scenes video of that shoot below.

In a recent interview with comedian Druski following Lil Baby’s Rolling Loud Miami performance, Rylo hinted that a new project was on the way. In 2020, he released G.I.H.F. (Goat In Human Form) which had features from Baby, 42 Dugg, Moneybagg Yo, Yo Gotti and more.

Though not a lot is known at the moment, we’re sure that more information about his legal issues will soon come to light. Stay tuned for updates.

T-Pain Gives Hilarious Backstory On His “Beef” With Future

T-Pain’s recent Drink Champs interview is the gift that keeps on giving, largely due to his charisma, jovial nature, and propensity for self-depreciation — not to mention a brief dash of brutal honesty. Yet behind all the humor that tends to arise during a T-Pain interview, there’s also interesting insight to be found, especially when the Rapper-Ternt-Sanger reflects on his own musical legacy.

A clip from his Drink Champs chat with N.O.R.E and DJ EFN has been making the rounds, in which T-Pain is asked about the outcome of a potential Verzuz battle with Future. “To the public, Future would win,” admits Pain, after a moment of consideration. “Absolutely. Because it’s right now.”

“We don’t have the same records,” he continues. “What’s the feel-good records — what would Future play after ‘Bartender?’ What would he play after ‘I’m Sprung?’ Cause we gotta match records. When you play records, you gotta match records. If I play ‘If I Could Change The World’ with me, Diddy, Mary J. Blige, and Akon, what’s Future going to play after that? We in two different categories.”

He also opens up about his previous “problems” with Future, confirming that the whole situation was blown out of proportion. “My problem with Future was never a problem,” explains T-Pain. “It was Khaled’s problem. When they put out ‘I Woke Up In A New Bugatti,’ they had posted my Bugatti in their shit. You know what it was like? When your homeboy got a Tinder date in the apartment, and your homeboy got on your shirt that you use for Tinder Dates.”

“If you going on a date, and you ask your homeboy if you can borrow his shirt,” continues Pain, taking his analogy to the next level. “And your homeboy shows up to the date and says ‘nice shirt, looks real fuckin’ familiar.’ That’s how the whole Future beef started. Everybody thinks it was this big thing, that we fought or something. But it was literally — [he] sat in my Bugatti. In my Bugatti. And then you said it was yours. And I told people it wasn’t yours, and that was the end of it.”

“He didn’t get mad,” laughs Pain. “Future never gets mad…He ignored the whole shit.” T-Pain explains that he made somewhat of a scene, upset that his Bugatti ownership wasn’t given due credit. The outburst led DJ Khaled to intervene, who managed to make Pain see the error of his ways. “I was the worst friend of all time,” he muses. “Khaled was like ‘take it back, take the post down.'” He pauses for a moment. “I still stand by what I said.”

Carmelo Anthony Details Lebron’s Pitch To Join Lakers In First Team Press Conference

This month has been monumental for the Lakers franchise as they gear up for a more successful and consequential race to the finals next season. Russell Westbrook and Dwight Howard are only a few of the seasoned powerhouses of the NBA that have signed on with LeBron and the Lakers team. A more unexpected addition came just last week with the announcement that Carmelo Anthony, the 37-year-old long time friend of Lebron’s and former Portland Trailblazer, would be seeking his first trip to the NBA Finals ever with the Los Angeles team.

In his first presser as part of the franchiser, Anthony discussed how LeBron pitched the team to him and expressed his excitement over the new opportunity.

“Bron just came to me one time and said, ‘Yo, the time is now. I want you. We got to make this happen,'” Anthony told reporters about the recruitment process. Bron and Anthony have been friends throughout their respective stints in the NBA, though this marks their first time playing on the same team. As far as his interest in playing for the team, Anthony had this to say: “I just felt like for right now, this is the best time. Most people would say we should’ve gotten together years ago early in our careers, but we were in two different lanes, we were on two different paths. And everything comes full circle, I’ll say.”

The 37-year-old freshman Laker maintains that he has tunnel vision as he enters the team. “I’m coming in with a championship on my mind… This is the one thing that it keeps me up at night, it motivates me, because I don’t have it. I want that experience.” While some cast doubt on the team for the sheer amount of players currently in their 30s, Anthony didn’t seem worried– “We don’t care. We make our own narrative.”

Beyonce Thought Her Singing Career Was Over At 13 Years Old After A Vocal Injury

Beyonce has been a successful and busy artist for a long time: Destiny’s Child formed (as Girl’s Tyme) before Beyonce was even a teenager. Not long after things started to take off, though, Beyonce suffered an injury that she thought would derail her singing career.

Beyonce is the subject of a new Harper’s Bazaar feature, and in it, after speaking about her introversion during her early childhood, she continued:

“I started taking voice lessons from an opera singer at nine. By 10, I had already recorded at least 50 or 60 songs in the recording studio. This was before Pro Tools, when you recorded to tape. I had my first vocal injury at 13 from singing in the studio for too many hours. We had just gotten our first record deal, and I was afraid I had developed nodules and destroyed my voice and that my career could be over. The doctors put me on vocal rest all summer and I was silent once again.”

She also talked about how seriously she took her music career as a teenager, saying, “I committed to always being a student and always being open to growth. No one in my school knew that I could sing because I barely spoke. My energy went into Destiny’s Child and the dream of us getting a record deal and becoming musicians. If something wasn’t helping me reach my goal, I decided to invest no time in it. I didn’t feel like I had time to ‘kiki’ or hang out. I sacrificed a lot of things and ran from any possible distraction. […] I knew I was given this amazing opportunity and felt like I had one shot. I refused to mess it up, but I had to give up a lot.”

Early this morning, Drake updated his social media with a video of himself driving in a droptop convertible before sharing a photo from the studio. On FaceTime with one of his engineers, the Toronto native seemingly teased that the album was near completion, making a CLB doodle with “2021” written underneath.

As of now, there has not been a release date announced for the album, which was originally announced with a January drop date. Following Drake’s knee surgery, the project was pushed back so the rapper could focus on his health and recovery. Now, he’s back in the swing of things and he’s ready to shake up the summer.

Dame D.O.L.L.A Drops Off New Single “The Juice”

Shortly after taking home the gold medal for men’s basketball at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, Dame D.O.L.L.A is back with the lead single of his upcoming album Different On Levels The Lord Allowed. “The Juice” features guest vocals from Jane Handcock, who floats over the warbling synth instrumental before Dame takes flight. Lyrically, Dolla proceeds to vent about the industry as he sees it, emphasizing the high-stakes that accompany a rap career.

“I ride my own wave, facts but I’m intrigued by a few,” he raps. “I see potential but I’m probably just deceived by the view / My heart’s sincere as it appears, man, I’m three hundred proof.” Overall, the track is somewhat of a slow-burner, which allows Dame to connect with his listeners on a more direct level; while it might not be quite so infectious as some of his previous drops, it certainly goes a long way where character development is concerned.

Check out “The Juice” now, and be sure to keep an eye out for Dame D.O.L.L.A’s upcoming album Different On Levels The Lord Allowed. Do you think he’s basketball’s best rapper, as he once declared himself to be?

Trey Songz’ Reaction To A Woman Seemingly Spiking His Drink Goes Viral

Trey Songz was at the nightclub this week when he nearly got into a horrible situation. A viral video that has been shared by multiple social media blogs shows the moment a woman poured something into his drink, and it appears that it was without his consent.

The video was shared by a third party who captured the moment, showing Trigga Trey speaking with a friend at the club when a woman pours something into his drink. He proceeds to give her the side-eye before looking down at his drink with skepticism before looking back at her with another glare. Clearly, the singer caught on to what had happened and was wary about taking another sip.

As the video continues to circulate this morning, there has been a divided response to it. Some people have found the clip to be pretty humorous, laughing at Trey’s reaction to the entire ordeal. Others are claiming that the video isn’t funny and that if the roles were reversed and the video showed Trey pouring something into the woman’s drink, there would be a major issue.

Trey Songz has not commented on the video.
