Chlöe Bailey Details Her Relationship With Gunna After His Prison Release

Chlöe Bailey likely stood at the top of the list of things Gunna missed the most during his incarceration. The “You & I” collaborators began to develop a friendship that many perceived could be much more than that. However, things between the singer and the DS4EVER rapper came to a halt when the YSL RICO case unfolded. Gunna, along with Young Thug and over two dozen overs, were charged with violating the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organization act, while Chlöe’s solo career continued to flourish.

However, the two didn’t lose complete contact since Gunna got caught up in the case. Chlöe appeared on Big Boy’s Neighborhood to discuss her upcoming album, In Pieces. However, the conversation led to her friendship with Gunna. When Big Boy asked Chlöe if she spoke to Gunna since his release, she began to giggle. “I mean, we don’t really talk about a personal type of things but he’s doing good,” she told the host as she tried to keep her response brief.

Chlöe Hasn’t Seen Gunna Since Prison Release

Big Boy acknowledged his efforts as “clickbait,” while prying further on the topic. “I always wish him the best. He’s always been a dear friend of mine so I want to make sure he’s okay,” she said. Chlöe confirmed that she hasn’t seen Gunna since he came home but she said that they’ve had a few conversations since he copped an Alford Plea. Evidently, she’s not holding the snitching allegations over Gunna’s head like a few of his peers in hip-hop, like Lil Baby and Meek Mill.

The rumors surrounding a potential romance began to take shape when Gunna shared a flirty comment after Chlöe delivered a sultry performance at the VMAs in 2021. Then, Gunna took his shot on the Breakfast Club where he made it clear that he’s feeling her. That particular moment turned into the inspiration behind Chlöe’s single, “For The Night.” “I might regret saying this, but hey, maybe it’ll help f*cking streams. I don’t even think he knows this! I wrote ‘For The Night’ about Gunna,” Bailey admitted. “Yep, I said it bitches. I said it. So, you know. Yep. I wrote that song after The Breakfast Club interview I believe.” Check Chlöe’s comments about Gunna above.

How Lil Keed’s Friends and Family Rallied to Put Together His First Posthumous Album

Dupree also notes that’s what made him transcend the confines of staying with one genre. “He wasn’t just a rapper, he was a rockstar, a pop icon. He crossed over,” he describes. “He had different sounds for different occasions. A lot of people wanted to do features with him because he matched anyone’s energy on the track.”

Although his team laughs about how every time Lil Keed came to 300’s New York office, he would be ready to party and shoot pool or a joke (“Our whole relationship revolves around us laughing,” Gotit says), the excitement of rallying to put his work into the world doesn’t erase the fact that they are still grieving his tremendous loss.

Gunna Says He’ll “Fight It Out” In New Song Snippet As YSL Trial Continues

As YSL’s trial looms larger and longer over the Atlanta collective, its most highly publicized plea-taker is continuing his career. A new snippet recently surfaced of an unreleased Gunna song where the rapper talks about “fighting it out.” Moreover, this likely refers to his rocky and uncertain relationship with Young Thug and the rest of his rap crew after accusations of snitching. Furthermore, the snippet appeared on Brittany Reshaun’s Instagram story, model and friend to the 29-year-old. While he’s been lying low since taking plea, fans and detractors alike are wondering what his personal and career future will look like.

“Heard the rumors said I’m packing up and flying out,” he raps on the unreleased track. “We ain’t going nowhere I’m staying here, gone fight it out / I meant like f**k it / Let’s just give these n***as dark clouds / Been gone for months and I just keep seeing these dark clouds.” Of course, these bars could refer to anything in theory, especially considering Wunna’s free-flowing rap style. However, it lines up too perfectly for comfort, and there’s truth even in context alone despite possibly different intentions.

New Gunna Song Snippet Reveals Musings On YSL

As YSL’s RICO case unfolds, rumors swirled of Gunna leaving the camp and signing with a major label. Considering how much longer the trial is expected to last, perhaps it’ll be a long time before fans see how (or if) a reconciliation plays out. Currently, the process of jury selection is in a months-long process, one that is moving as quickly as possible, but still is facing delays and extensions. According to 11Alive.com, the trial itself will expectedly last take nine months, and opening arguments may not begin until the fall. As such, the timeframe in between those dates will likely consist of further jury selection.

Meanwhile, this snippet comes weeks after DJ Akademiks alleged that Gunna wants out of YSL and has a whole album ready to drop. People’s reactions to the news ranged from excited to outraged, mocking to sympathetic, and from appraisals to cancellations. Clearly he still has a strong fanbase that will look past his issues with YSL. Still, many wonder for how long they will stick around, and how he will sidestep these accusations in the industry. Regardless, check back in with HNHH for the latest news and updates on Gunna.

Young Thug Court Photo Surfaces Following Metro Boomin’s Update

After a photo of Young Thug flexing behind bars appeared online, another image of the rapper surfaced. Thugger has been at legal war with prosecutors claiming he is a street gang leader. He was arrested last May in connection to the RICO case against YSL, as authorities claim the record label is a criminal organization. Thug’s supporters have insisted he is a respectable figure who has helped other creatives succeed. However, he faced several charges connected to drugs, weapons, and racketeering.

The jury selection process has been daunting. It has continued for months; according to reports, there isn’t an end in sight for some time. It could be the summer, if not even later this year, before the trial begins. Several of Young Thug’s alleged associates have already taken plea deals, including Gunna. He was the first to cop to an Alford plea, and in court, he made admissions that had many labeling him as a snitch.

Young Thug’s Sister Gave An Update

According to Thug’s sister Dolly White, the Trap artist is doing well, all things considered. She also said he told her he would be home soon, although there are some who aren’t so enthusiastic. Additionally, there have been several conversations about Thug’s relationship with Gunna. The latter has kept a low profile since leaving jail in December, and his peers speculated about Gunna’s next move.

Some theorize that to move forward with his Rap career, Young Thug must speak up on behalf of Gunna. Recently, DJ Akademiks hopped on Twitch to speculate about the “Pushin P” rapper’s future. He claimed Gunna already had an album ready for release but is questioning whether he should stay with YSL or move to another label. The validity of those rumors is questionable, but the gossip spread like wildfire.

Metro Boomin Talked To Thugger

Days ago, Metro Boomin revealed he’s spoken with Young Thug while on DJ Drama’s The Streetz Iz Watching podcast. “I be talking to him, he’s blessed man,” Metro said. “Anybody know Slime know he got a heart of gold, but he got the heart of a warrior at the same time. So, like, he got his head up. And I pray for him every single day, even since everything first happened. I pray for him every single day.”

Young Thug’s Baby Mama Speaks Out After Audio Surfaces Of YSL Snitches

Young Thug’s baby mama just spoke out against snitches in the YSL camp after more leaked audio surfaced of interrogations. Moreover, this follows a recent high-profile example in which Lil Woody’s interrogation video made the rounds online. Of course, accusations of being a rat and seeking personal gain at the expense of others followed. However, the gray areas in this case seem no closer to clarification, as said evidence is usually under wraps. With that in mind, Thugger’s baby mama is one of many trying to make sense of the situation.

“Man ain’t [no] way everybody doin all this talking,” she wrote on Twitter. “We all just found out rats can use their lips.” Like her, many expressed shock and disappointment at the number of plea deals and information exchanges that took place after Thug’s arrest. To be fair, many of us have no idea how we would act in that situation. Still, the situation proved to be hostile, at least according to prosecutors who said the state’s witness who was interrogated is now in danger.

Young Thug’s Baby Mama Calls Out Snitching In YSL

Furthermore, the prosecution alleged that the defense is behind these evidence leaks, possibly in order to call for a mistrial due to extreme publicity and low probability of a fair trial. What’s more is that the defense called for a mistrial shortly after. Specifically, Gina Bernard, who represents codefendant Jayden Myrick, said that publicity and court incidents will hinder his chance at a fair trial. Even if incidents like an alleged drug deal and prison stabbing didn’t occur, the conversation around snitching in particular certainly muddies the water. Still, it’s becoming a harder and harder process to get this trial underway with no bumps.

Meanwhile, Judge Ural Glanville denied said motion for a mistrial, though he issued a stern warning as to more leaks. Both the prosecution and the defense could lose certain access to evidence without supervision if more evidence comes to light pre-trial. “It affects everyone’s right to a fair trial,” Glanville told attorneys. “I don’t know who did this but if this pertains to you, please amend your ways. You’re playing a very dangerous game with your six-digit bar number.” Along those lines, people on both sides of the stand seem careless with the information they’re willing to give. Regardless, come back to HNHH for the latest updates on the YSL case and Young Thug.

Judge Denies Mistrial Request In YSL Case

Chief Judge Ural Glanville has denied the request for a mistrial in the YSL RICO case. The defense filed the motion after a video recently leaked of investigators interrogating a man for the case. It’s unclear where the blame for the leaked video stems from. Both the prosecution and defense have refused to take responsibility. The update comes from Jozsef Papp, a crime and public safety reporter for the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

“Judge Glanville said he plans to order an investigation into a leaked video that was shared in [sic] social media involving a state witness being questioned by investigators. Motion for mistrial is denied but Glanville is allowing lawyers to ask potential jurors about the video,” Papp wrote on Twitter, Wednesday, before noting that Glanville remarked, “I’m blaming everybody.” He continued: “Glanville gave them a warning that if it happens again, he will restrict attorneys to only be able to view discovery in his chambers.”

News of the denial comes after an attorney representing defendant Jayden Myrick requested a mistrial, back in February. They argued that the sharing of discovery material violated the client’s Sixth Amendment right to a fair and impartial jury. The motion read: “While said evidence may not directly implicate my client, it along with all of the publicity and courtroom incidents since the start of this trial that have not been the result of any conduct of my client, Jayden Myrick, make it impossible for him to receive a fair trial, as well as a jury that is honestly and truly fair and impartial.”

Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis has filed a motion that would mandate that defense attorneys can only view similar videos while in her office and cannot record them. In response, Defense Attorney Keith Adams said: “You don’t just file a motion and make these allegations when you’ve got absolutely no basis to back that up, and that’s what’s happened in this case.” Adams says not allowing him to make copies would limit his access to evidence that could help defend his clients and therefore would be unconstitutional. He added that he doesn’t believe a defense attorney leaked the video.

Witness In YSL Case Believed To Be In Danger After Interrogation Leaks Online

Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis says that she’s concerned for a witness’ safety after footage of their interrogation for the YSL trial leaked online. The video shows an unidentified man speaking with authorities for the case against Young Thug. It has over 30 million views online. Willis says that she’s unsure how the video got out, but that the prosecution has possessed it for over a year. They only handed over to the defense two months ago.

“It puts people’s lives in danger,” Willis told WSB-TV‘s Mark Winne. “My worst fear is that it is used as an intimidating tactic and people might be hurt.” Willis noted a large number of comments on a YouTube post of the video that threaten the man’s life. In the viral video, the man appears to tell investigators, “This is a murder that’s about to take place with some very hot people, and [inaudible] the stuff that I know right now should be able to help me get out my situation.” Defense Attorney Keith Adams addressed the leak saying, “I’m happy to have them make a determination or find out where it came from. I know it didn’t come from us!”

Willis has since filed a motion that would mandate that defense attorneys can only view similar videos in her office and cannot record them. In response, Adams said: “You don’t just file a motion and make these allegations when you’ve got absolutely no basis to back that up, and that’s what’s happened in this case.” Adams says not allowing him to make copies would be unconstitutional as it would limit their access to evidence that could help them defend their clients. He added that he doesn’t believe a defense attorney leaked the video.

The YSL trial is still many months off from kicking off. Through May, more than 1,200 jurors will appear in court to watch a pre-recorded reading of the indictment for the YSL case. They will also be hearing the preliminary jury instructions, filling out a questionnaire, and more.
