Lil Uzi Vert Spotted Filming A New Music Video

Earlier this year Lil Uzi Vert dropped their new album Pink Tape. The project became the first rap album of 2023 to hit number 1 on the Billboard 200. It’s gone on to plant a number of songs in the hot 100 on top of its impressive debut. Uzi has been teasing new material for weeks. They’ve been working on a new project called Barter 16 which pays tribute to Young Thug. For the project, Uzi has been working with some of Young Thug’s frequent collaborators like London On Da Track and Birdman. Now, Uzi has a music video coming soon though what it’s for is uncertain.

A clip started making the rounds earlier today of Lil Uzi Vert shooting a new music video. The clip sees the rapper lit up with red lights while a song echoes through the walls around them. While it isn’t confirmed which song the video is for many fans in the comments have speculated. The leading theory is that it’s for the recently announced DJ Khaled single dropping tonight. The song features Uzi alongside Lil Baby and Future. It’s set to serve as the lead single for a new album called TIL NEXT TIME coming later this year.

Lil Uzi Vert Music Video In The Making

Lil Uzi Vert has stayed busy recently. In another clip that emerged recently, they were in the studio recording new music with Luh Tyler. They’re a fan of many younger artists including Yeat who developed a pretty close relationship with Uzi. In an interview with GQ Uzi said that when they left rehab Yeat was one of the first people to visit them and they immediately began recording music.

Uzi found themselves in some hot water recently after comparing Christianity to a cult. Uzi has often come under fire for various references to the occult with some even going as far as saying they’ve tried to conjure the devil. The doubling down in their comments surely won’t help with those who are already critics. What do you think about Lil Uzi Vert working on a new music video? Let us know in the comment section below.

2Pac & DMX’s AI-Inspired Track Is Fan Approved

Artificial intelligence’s growing presence in music has often divided fans. However, a new track that features a posthumous link-up between 2Pac and DMX has been well-received by fans. The snippet has sent fans into a frenzy online. Posted by Youtuber dopfunk, the track entitled “Facing Death” finds the two legends recalling their own demise.

I’m gone, but I will never be forgotten/ Was talkin’ about death ’cause I knew n*ggas was plotting,” the AI 2Pac raps. “So I came back, only to haunt these n*ggas/ Snakes will slither/ It don’t matter who pulled the trigger!” Following that, DMX’s AI-generated verse takes on a disturbingly similar haunting tone: “And in due time, you’ll find out for yourself who you be. Ain’t no riches that will help you in hell when you meet/ Your maker/ He’ll break you down and analyze what you did in your life/ N*gga, everybody has to die.”

Some Are Still Skeptical About AI’s Growing Use in Music

The comment section was flooded with comments about the track’s authenticity, and one person even said that it “resurrected the essence of these great artists.” Some even proposed that the Youtuber should make more music. Another fan wrote, “They live on through your art man, Dopfunk keep this coming a full album would be intoxicating. This gave me chills and reminded me what real hip hop is again, thank you for what you do. 2Pac and DMX are immortal, hataz can never kill a legend!!”

But not everyone is on board with AI technology being used in music. Earlier this year, Drake and The Weeknd’s voices were used on the AI-inspired track “heart on my sleeve.” In response, Universal Music Group, where both artists are currently signed, issued a statement. In the letter, the company asked its stakeholders about “which side of history” they want to be on. Whether it’s on “the side of artists, fans and human creative expression, or on the side of deep fakes, fraud and denying artists their due compensation.”

Charlamagne And DJ Envy React To Tory Lanez Sentencing

The trial that everyone in the rap world has been talking about for years finally came to a close yesterday. Tory Lanez was sentenced to 10 years in prison for shooting Megan Thee Stallion in the foot all the way back in 2020. Fans online had generated substantial support for Tory despite evidence pointing towards his guilt. In December of last year, he was officially found guilty and given a date for his sentencing hearing. That sentencing unfolded on Tuesday of this week and reactions are still flowing in.

On a new Breakfast Club released this morning Charlamagne Tha God and DJ Envy gave their immediate reactions to the verdict. “For everybody who keeps saying they don’t believe Tory did this, he said in court yesterday. He apologized for his actions and took full responsibility for the shooting,” Charlamagne begins. He continued to lambast fans who were susceptible to misinformation online. “If you get your information from the internet, from the narrative created online, you’re gonna be misinformed all the time.” DJ Envy agrees. “Most people don’t read. They gonna go through the headlines and see what the headlines are.”

More Reactions To The Tory Lanez Verdict

Charlamagne continued. “I just will never understand why Tory was doing what he was doing on social media. Like I will never understand why he tried to try this case in the court of public opinion,” he explained. Both hosts seem to come to the same confused conclusion. They agree that Tory didn’t do himself any favors by attacking Megan online. At the conclusion of the segment they make suggestions that those who get to express opinions on something like this case should have to be informed in order to do it.

While many reacted to the supposed severity of the sentence, Boosie Badazz had a different take. He claimed that Tory actually got off easier because he was in California and if he had been elsewhere he could have done closer to 40 years. What do you think of Charlamagne Tha God and DJ Envy’s reaction to the Tory Lanez verdict? Let us know in the comment section below.

Curren$y Says He Won’t Travel Overseas For One Reason

Curren$y has built a cult-like following over the years, with a fanbase that spans across the globe. However, his international base is unlikely to see him anytime soon. Curren$y made an appearance on the latest episode of Drink Champs, which premiered over the weekend on Saturday (August 5), where he explained why. According to the New Orleans native, touring outside the country really isn’t something he enjoys.

Curren$y admitted during his one (and perhaps only) overseas run that it wasn’t quite what he expected. According to the rapper, the atmosphere across the pond left him completely unimpressed. Curren$y was struck by how different everything was, even the condiments. He found that the ketchup didn’t quite taste the same as it did back home.

Curren$y Admits He Was Underwhelmed With His Overseas Experience

In addition to the ketchup, the rapper also complained that Europe’s Mary Jane wasn’t up to his standards: “I only went overseas on one run, bro,” Spitta began. “Yeah, one run and then we came back and we bought some cars and I was just like, ‘I’m straight.’ All the ketchup didn’t taste like ketchup. Everything was f*cking crazy.” He continued: “It was tough to be happy with weed. It was bad, bro. In every coffee shop I went in in Amsterdam, it was all just not good weed.”

Despite the fact that Curren$y may not enjoy turning up overseas, he loves his hometown of New Orleans dearly. Last month, the rapper performed on the Essence Festival Music stage in his native city. On the music side of things, back in June, Curren$y and New York producer Harry Fraud dropped their collaborative project, Vices. The nine-track album is barely over 22 minutes, but it’s packed with features. Benny The ButcherJim Jones, Tommy Wright III, Larry June, G.T., Rome Streetz, and Vico all appear in various songs. Back in April, he released another collection of tracks with legendary producer Jermaine Dupri titled, For Motivational Use Only, Vol. 1, which featured appearances by T.I. and 2 Chainz, and more. Stay tuned to HNHH for updates from the music world.

Will Smith Shares His Mixed Feelings On His Family Finding Fame

Will Smith has always had a tumultuous journey with fame. While he himself skyrocketed to success as both an actor and a rapper in the 90s, he didn’t have a fully famous family until later on. According to Page Six, he sat down on a recent episode of Kevin Hart’s interview show Hart To Heart and discussed family matters. Smith referred to 2010 as his greatest year as both an artist and a parent. He cited Jaden’s film Karate Kid and Willow’s song “Whip My Hair” as major accomplishments that released in 2010. “I’m building this dream of a family I’ve had in my mind. I’m going to do it better than my father did it.” Smith says on the show.

Pretty much 2010 to 2012 I had achieved everything I had ever dreamed,” Will Smith elaborated. Despite how successful he felt for himself and his family he also admits it didn’t make them happier. “Nobody in my family was happy,” he explains later in the show. He compared the family’s fame to a “platoon” and decried that eventually, nobody wanted to be a part of it. “Willow was the first one to begin the mutiny and it was my first realization that success and money don’t mean happiness.” He concludes the interview reflecting on the lesson that taught him. “Up until that point, I really believed that you could succeed your way to a house and a family and you could win your way to happiness.”

Will Smith Opens Up On His Famous Family

Earlier this year Will Smith and Martin Lawrence took to social media to announce that Bad Boys 4 was officially coming. A few months later they were spotted filming some scenes for the movie in Atlanta. Unsurprisingly those shots featured mostly car chases and shootouts. Since then, new updates on the film’s progress have been pretty difficult to come by. Many have wondered if either of the ongoing strikes could impact its release.

What do you think of Will Smith opening up on his families issues with fame? Let us know in the comment section below.

Gunna Channels OJ Simpson In New “Rodeo Dr” Music Video

Earlier today Gunna shared the 4th official music video from his a Gift & a Curse era. Songs like “cash $hit” and “idk nomore” got shorter snippet videos. Now “rodeo dr” just became the 4th track to get a full video. It follows “i was just thinking,” “alright,” and the album’s big hit “fukumean.” The video appears to be some commentary on the rapper’s real-life situation facing snitching allegations using the OJ Simpson car chase saga as a metaphor. In the lyrics of the song, he references the controversial celeb. He specifically references the notorious Bronco chase he led police on in 1994. Fittingly, the video’s visuals reference the event directly with fans making signs and giving interviews expressing their love for the rapper while he’s being chased.

In the intro to the video, Gunna seems to make reference to hit snitching allegations. Earlier this year he took a plea deal in the YSL RICO case which included providing testimony. Many fellow rappers took issue with him admitting in court that YSL is a gang and they haven’t been quiet about it since. I his new video, however, the rapper seems to claim that his fans still have his back. The numbers back him up on that. After his new album a Gift & a Curse took a dip in sales relative to his usual numbers, some declared it a flop. But in the weeks since its big hit song “fukumean” has continued to climb up the charts. Just this week it hit a new peak at number 4, matching the highest he had previously reached with his Lil Baby collab “Drip Too Hard.”

Gunna’s Newest “a Gift & a Curse” Visuals

Gunna’s argument that his fans still ride with him is backed up by the comment section under the video. “That transition is still crazyyy. Also that’s mind blowing how Gunna fits a full sentence in a line and continues like that,” reads one of the top comments. “Bro whats crazy is this man is coming up from a situation that would keep people mentally down, but not gunna. Keep grinding brotha,” says another.

What do you think of Gunna’s new music video? Let us know in the comment section below.

Keefe D Blames Diddy For Getting Him Caught Up In 2pac Murder Investigation

In recent weeks Las Vegas police have begun investigating the 1996 murder of 2pac again. Last week footage was made public of the police raiding a home which they later confirmed was connected to the murder. Now that the case is back in people’s minds, Keefe D is speaking on his long association with the murder. He explained that his association with Diddy is what started it all, first telling how the pair met. “I met him back in ’91. He was doing an Usher video. They called my hydraulics place and asked to use some low-riders. So I let them use my four and we took the car up there,” Keefe explains. “Usher danced all on the hood and window door so it was a big ole dent in it and shit. I took it up to the paint shop and they like, ‘We got to paint the whole car.’ So Puffy reimbursed me with that.”

Despite the nice gesture, Keefe D still regrets meeting Diddy. “If I wouldn’t have ever met him, I wouldn’t have ever been involved in this bullshit,” he explained. “I would’ve never met the brother. I never would’ve been involved in this bullshit. Me and Suge, we played on the same pop warner team and everything. My home boys helped put Suge in the game. It really crashed two people’s empire in one night. Mine’s for sure, Suge’s too. He made our shit go down, man… He won’t even look out or nothing. Because he pitted us against each other, which was kinda smart. We’re Crips and Suge was Bloods.”

Keefe D Opens Up About Diddy And 2pac

The rap community still has a strong affinity for 2pac as evidenced by a recent auction. A ring 2pac was wearing at one of his last public appearances broke records for being the most expensive piece of hip-hop memorabilia ever sold at auction. It ultimately sold for over $1 Million earlier this week.

What do you think about Keefe D’s new comments on Diddy? Let us know in the comment section below.
