“Please do not look like a bum, walk like a bum, or talk like a bum while wearing these. If you’re somebody who hasn’t had pleasure in a long time, put these shoes on and step out. I promise you by the end of the night, pleasure will be served.”

– YG

The “BLOCK RUNNER” launched 4Hunnid’s The Flame line extension into footwear in March 2021 with an inverted colorway pattern. It was sold out online within the first seven minutes of going on sale. In a nod to YG’s hometown NBA teams, the brand most recently released sneakers inspired by the Lakers and Clippers. Being from LA, YG wanted to create a sneaker that reflected the West Coast aesthetic. The low-cut shoe has an upper made of 100 percent real leather and a flame-shaped emblem that is attached to the side panels of a bespoke sole. The same Compton culture, everyday values, and way of life that inform YG’s music also greatly affect the 4Hunnid brand.

You can see the new sneaker below.

YG & Saweetie Dating Rumours Run Rampant After Coachella Weekend One

There were plenty of noteworthy moments to come from Coachella weekend one, and even more are sure to follow in the coming days with the festival’s second and final round. While much of the focus was on the performers – namely headlining acts Bad Bunny, BLACKPINK, and Frank Ocean – the celebrities in attendance also caused a stir. Not only did Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet make headlines for failing to officially debut as a couple, but now, YG and Saweetie are also sparking dating rumours.

The two California natives have actually been connected for some time, though they’ve managed to keep their situation lowkey. Saweetie was at YG’s birthday party in March, which is when gossip first began to fly, though no official confirmation came with it. According to @thejasminebrand, they spent their time at Coachella cozying up together, though no photographic evidence has surfaced online quite yet. Seeing as the pair have previously collaborated with Tyga on “Money Mouf” and Mozzy on “In My Face,” it’s not surprising to see them link up romantically.

Does Saweetie Have a New Man?

What is a bit shocking, however, are the rumours that YG gives his Icy Girl a “blank check” every month so she can spend to her heart’s desire. “He apparently has a black card with a ridiculously high credit limit,” AllHipHop alleges. “She’s not there for his money, supposedly,” the outlet added, which makes sense seeing as Saweetie’s got plenty of her own racks.

Prior to this new rumoured romance, Saweetie was briefly linked to both Lil Baby and Damson Idris, though nothing serious ever transpired. Her last long-term high-profile relationship was with Quavo, and many hip-hop heads were sad to see them part ways. As for YG, he and Kehlani spent some time together a few years back, and he also dated Keke Palmer from 2014 to 2015. Revisit one of the alleged couple’s collaborative tracks below, and check back later for more hip-hop news updates.

The night’s dress code was all-red upscale, which YG and celebrities alike turned into a chic occasion. In attendance to celebrate the star were YG’s family and friends including some of the hottest names in the industry like Offset, Travis Scott, Saweetie, BIA, A$AP Ferg, Tyga, Justin Combs, Christian Combs, Nardo Wick, Mustard, Mario, Lenny S, Todd Gurly III, Kris D. Lofton, and Quincy Chad.

YG Invites Travis Scott, Mustard, Tyga & More To Birthday Bash

Celebrities from all over pop culture attended YG’s 33rd birthday bash in West Hollywood on Wednesday (March 8). While his actual birthday is on Thursday (March 9), that’s no reason not to celebrate a little bit more. Moreover, he invited distinguished guests such as Tyga, Mustard, Travis Scott, Ty Dolla $ign, Saweetie, Offset, and A$AP Ferg. Other famous names in attendance were Diddy’s sons Christian and Justin Combs, BIA, Nardo Wick, Power actor Kris D. Lofton, Snowfall‘s Quincy Chad, Lenny S., Pusharod, and former NFL player Todd Gurley II. Of course, some names here aren’t very surprising, given that the now 33-year-old recently teased a collab album with Tyga.

However, it was still quite the grand and classically YG-style event. For example, everything was red: people’s outfits, the lights, the decorations, you name it. Some exceptions came here and there, but it was mostly very much themed around the birthday boy. Also, he seemed to have an absolute blast, as Tyga filmed him dancing to Snoop Dogg and Tha Eastsidaz’s classic hit “I Luv It.” It’s a West Coast sound the 4Hunnid CEO continues to cultivate through tracks and features like “Charles Barkley.”

A Star-Studded & Red 33rd Birthday For YG

What’s more is that the Compton MC also wants to share some of those good times with fans. Furthermore, he offered fans the chance to have dinner with him for $1,000 before his concerts. In addition, he detailed a five-star three-course meal, gentleman’s club waitresses, open bar, and the chance to take a picture with the “BIG BANK” rapper. ““I said I would never come back to the observatory but here I am,” he captioned a concert flyer on Instagram. “BDAY VIBES LIVE CONCERT put that s**t on & come F**k with me. UPSCALE EVENT!”

Meanwhile, YG recently squashed his beef with Kamaiyah, who fought previously over label issues. However, they put things to rest during his tour stop in Oakland, which is the latter’s home city. “I swear to God, I don’t know what they know, I don’t know what they heard about — on the blogs they read, I don’t know nothing,” YG said. “But I love you. Come give me a hug.” Kamaiyah went in for the hug and replied, “I love you too. From the Bay to L.A., goddamn it!” As always, come back to HNHH for the latest news and updates on the Cali MC. Happy birthday and stay brazy, YG!

Tyga And YG Used Their ‘Go Loko’ Rolling Loud Performance To Tease An Upcoming Collab Album

Last night at Rolling Loud, Tyga performed his set — and brought along a special guest in the form of YG.

While performing their 2019 collaboration, “Go Loko,” YG did a truly iconic dance, revaling that he’s multi-talented when it comes to moves. The duo also teased that they have what seems to be a full collaborative record on the way, as it was teased on stage.

“You know what I’m saying?” Tyga says in the video. “We only came up with one song, but now we about to drop the new album coming soon.”

When “Go Loko” was first released, Tyga revealed that they had been inspired by Mexico’s impact on culture…which hasn’t fully aged well. “Growing up in L.A., it’s a really big culture here,” he told the Recording Academy. “Even YG could tell you, he grew up around all Mexicans, so we really wanted to do something to give back to the culture.”

In addition, Tyga appeared on YG’s album last year, as a feature on “Run.”

“Me and Tyga were in the studio just trying to plot like, ‘What should we do for the video?’ There’s only so much you can do with that type of song. We ain’t wanna do like a flashy rap video, driving around in the cars. I got plenty of them,” YG revealed to Billboard.

Check out the videos of Tyga and YG’s performance (and album teaser) above.

‘Bel-Air’: Here’s All The Music You Heard In Season 2, Episode 2

(SPOILERS for this week’s Bel-Air episode will be found below.)

Bel-Air didn’t get off to the most peaceful start for season two. It began with Will living at Jazz’s apartment after he had a fallout with Phil, Vivian, and his mother over the truth of his estranged father. Fortunately, Phil and Will were able to patch things up in the season two premiere and Will even returned home to the Banks’ Bel-Air mansion, but not before partying with family and friends for Ashley’s 13th birthday. In episode two of this season, the focus shifts to Will, Carlton, Hilary, and Jazz’s individual and interconnected lives where they all seek to make some type of progress toward their goals. Will has his eyes set on a getting a division one college basketball project while Carlton looks to make an impact in the Black Student Union and take a step forward in his battle with anxiety. Hilary and Jazz made things official in the season two premiere, but they aren’t exactly on the same page — something they hope to fix this week.

The aforementioned events in the second episode of Bel-Air season two, titled “Speaking Truth,” are soundtracked by songs that help to accentuate the emotions behind each scene. You can find a list of them belong as well as details about the scenes that the records soundtracked.

Check out our Bel-Air season 2, episode 1 recap here.

KAMI & Smoko Ono — “Superstar Moves”

KAMI & Smoko Ono’s track can be heard at the 01:15 mark during a Bel-Air Academy basketball game. Tensions are high as Will and his coach are not on the same page. Will wants to carry the team to a win while his coach wants it to be more of a team effort.

Easy McCoy — “Deja Vu”

At around the 06:40 mark, Easy McCoy’s “Deja Vu” briefly plays as the Bel-Air title flashes on the screen. This record is the theme song for Bel-Air.

Last Verse — “Semper”

Last Verse’s “Semper” checks in around 06:54 mark as Will and Carlton arrive at school. Will is venting to Carlton about his basketball frustrations. Carlton’s crush Yazmin arrives shortly after and asks him about attending and contributing ideas at the next Black Student Union meeting.

Tupac — “Can U Get Away”

Tupac’s track from his 1995 album Me Against the World plays around 09:05 as Jazz is tyding up at the record store. Hilary walks in as he’s dancing and rapping, but he doesn’t notice right away. She surprises him with lunch, but her agenda comes alive as she asks to use his Impala his for a video shoot with Ivy. He initially says no, but after some convincing, he changes his mind.

Jade Amar — “My Own Boss”

Jade Amar’s “My Own Boss” can be heard at the 16:04 mark as Hilary, Ivy, and friends are filming the video shoot with Jazz’s car. Contrary to Jazz’s wishes, Hilary reluctantly lets Ivy drive the car. Unfortunately for Hilary, Jazz finds out about this as he makes a surprise visit to the set.

YG — “Scared Money” Feat. J. Cole & Moneybagg Yo

YG’s “Scared Money” checks in in around 26:19 as Will and Carlton sneak out with Jazz to go to a party in South Central. Will meets with Jackie, where he also finds Doc, while Carlton lets his wild side out with a couple ladies in the club.

Inka Delli — “Bank”

Inka Delli’s record can be heard around the 28:42 mark as Carlton finds himself dancing, and rather happy, with a couple of ladies in the club. Will also gets his groove on with Jackie.

Iain Harper — “Look Alive”

Iain Harper’s “Look Alive” plays in the background during a conversation at the club between Doc and Will. Doc questions Will about his sudden appearance in Bel-Air before telling Will that the Bel-Air basketball team is hurting his potential. Doc also introduces the idea of joining an AAU team to improve his stock, something that piques Will’s interest.

Julian Roy — “Trouble”

Julian Roy’s “Trouble” checks in around the 34:15 mark as Jazz is back working at the record shop. While there, he receives a text from Hilary asking for them to meet up for a conversation about their relationship. It leads to Hilary deciding to introduce him as her boyfriend to her parents.

Coast Contra — “Legacy”

Coast Contra’s record plays around the 37:10 mark as Carlton suggests that the Black Student Union hold a protest, a walk-out specifically, in defense of Mrs. Hughes unjust firing. The idea is fully supported by the BSU.

Chel Strong — “I Know You See It”

Chel Strong’s “I Know You See It” plays around the 40:59 mark during the latest Bel-Air basketball game. Will is on a whole new level during the game as his arrogance and cockiness is at an all time high. However, once again, Will and his coach clash during a timeout.

Armani White — “Billie Eilish”

At around the 42:38 mark, Armani White’s viral hit “Billie Eilish” plays as Will goes on an absolute tear, one that is also selfish and against his team’s wishes, to end the basketball game. Will’s team wins the game, but it appears that Will may lose his team.
