Fat Joe Alleges Hip-Hop Media Was Partially Responsible For 2Pac & Biggie’s Murders

Last month, Kendrick Lamar sat down with SZA for Harper’s Bazaar and sparked a major debate. Several social media users and peers argued that it was a “softball” interview, and would have liked to see K-Dot sit down with a hip-hop outlet instead. Amid the backlash, TDE Punch took to X to come to Kendrick’s defense, arguing that hip-hop media is to blame.

“I respect Hip Hop Journalism and feel it’s needed in its truest form. It help keep the culture alive,” he wrote in part. “But it’s only a few real ones left. Most of you guys are trash. Just my opinion. That’s why artist don’t want to talk to you.”

Fat Joe Shares His Take On Artists Avoiding Hip-Hop Journalists

Fat Joe Insinuates Hip-Hop Media Is Partially Responsible For <a href=2Pac & Biggie’s Murders” class=”wp-image-856504″ srcset=”https://wp.hnhh.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/Fat-Joe-1.jpg 2484w, https://wp.hnhh.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/Fat-Joe-1-300×190.jpg 300w, https://wp.hnhh.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/Fat-Joe-1-768×487.jpg 768w, https://wp.hnhh.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/Fat-Joe-1-1536×975.jpg 1536w, https://wp.hnhh.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/Fat-Joe-1-2048×1299.jpg 2048w” sizes=”(max-width: 2484px) 100vw, 2484px” />

Now, during a recent conversation with The Hollywood Reporter, Fat Joe has shared his take on the situation. According to him, Punch might be onto something. He even argued that magazines like Vibe and The Source could have allegedly played a role in the deaths of Biggie and 2Pac. “I also believe that the old guard of hip-hop journalists created a lot of conflict and might even have blood on their hands,” he explained.

“When you talk about East Coast-West Coast, Biggie-Tupac, that thing was amplified, and they both ended up dead,” he continued. “And, when I look at the so-called journalists that were here from day one, since Vibe and The Source [magazines] and all that, still to this day when they interview people and they do podcasts themselves, it’s always a negative route.” Fat Joe added that artists have more leverage now thanks to social media, podcasts, and shows like his own. Blueface Sings Chrisean Rock’s Song To Her For Comfort On “Crazy In Love”

Through the Zeus Network reality TV show “Crazy In Love,” audiences have seen Blueface and Chrisean Rock’s complicated relationship in all its highs and lows. Sometimes, the pregnant “Baddies” star twerks on her boo, and other times, she gets sad and in her feelings. When you’re dating someone as volatile, outspoken, and playful as the California rapper, though, those moments don’t last long. Sure, sometimes the emotion that replaces that is more angry than it is happy, but this time it leaned positive. Moreover, on this week’s new episode, Blue and his friend MK actually try to cheer Chrisean up ahead of a performance.

In the clip, the two ask Chrisean Rock what’s wrong, as she seems dejected and has a frown on her face in the apartment. Apparently, she had a show to look forward to, but wasn’t really feeling that excitement in the moment. Then, Blueface and MK remark that they “thought it was a vibe all the time,” referring to her single “vibe.” In fact, they started to sing the song to her word for word to say that she’ll be fine and that it’s no big deal, but Chrisean didn’t budge.

Blueface Singing “Vibe” To Cheer Chrisean Rock Up

Of course, that happened a long time ago, and we’re only just now seeing these moments air on television. However, fans and audiences also have plenty to keep up with right now, because as of writing this article, Chrisean Rock is in labor with the “BDD” MC’s kid. Hopefully everything goes swimmingly for her during this process and she gets her healthy and happy bundle of joy. Despite her relationship with Blueface still being quite rocky, fans wish that this will prompt a less toxic bond moving forward. Considering their history, it might be a big gamble, but they’ve also never really had a child in the world to change their perspective on (and treatment of) each other.

Meanwhile, we’re sure that the rest of “Crazy In Love” will yield more wild, sad, and wholesome moments. After all, they’re a couple of extremes, and their saga captivated too many people to let up soon. Still, maybe putting a brake on the viral side of things will prompt a healthier and more loving pairing as friends, coparents, or whatever they choose. With that in mind, for the latest news and updates on Blueface and Chrisean Rock, check back in with HNHH.

Babyface Puts His Spin On Chrisean Rock’s “Vibe” Song

After being kicked off of Anita Baker’s tour earlier this month, Babyface is ready to speak his truth. The 64-year-old addressed his feud with the female songbird, along with several other hot topics on the latest episode of The Jason Lee Show. Apart from spilling the tea on his rumoured romance with Toni Braxton, Babyface also addressed claims that he hates Beyonce, and covered one of Chrisean Rock’s earliest singles while the cameras rolled.

The full video interview hasn’t made it onto YouTube quite yet. Still, audio can be found on Spotify and other DSPs. In the meantime, a select few clips from the interview have been circulating online, one of which shows the Indiana native singing “Vibe” while strumming on his acoustic guitar. “I’mma do it my way,” Babyface declares before crooning, “It’s a vibe all the time” repeatedly. At the end of his brief performance, the in-studio audience applauded as the host grinned from ear to ear.

A post shared by The Neighborhood Talk (@theneighborhoodtalk)

As shown in the second slide of @theneighborhoodtalk’s post above, Rock’s original cut has much more aggressive energy than Baby’s version. The reality starlet first shared the song in March 2021 and has since amassed 5.7 million streams on just Spotify. Chrisean has been dropping music fairly consistently so far this year, kicking things off with “Lit” before connecting with Dee Duchess on “Not the One.” Her most recent single, “Time,” arrived at the end of March.

Since then, Rock has been primarily focused on preparing for motherhood and staying out of trouble. As for Babyface, he’s definitely got some unexpected free time on his hands now that he’s no longer touring with Baker. Fingers crossed he uses it to make some unforgettable moves in the studio.

Nicki Minaj Poses With Brooke Bailey

It seems like Nicki Minaj found a new wine bestie in “Basketball Wives” star Brooke Bailey, which is always important to have by your side if you’re a fan of a glass every once in a while. Moreover, the rapper posted some pictures of them together on her Instagram Story. “She my lil vibe my lil ah ah ah,” she captioned the post. Of course, Bailey took to the comments section to hype themselves up even more as they enjoyed a glass of wine together in stylish fits. “Queen Tingz,” the reality star wrote under the post.

Unfortunately, the last news we heard from Brooke Bailey was much more tragic than a good time with Nicki Minaj. Back in September of 2022, she confirmed that her daughter Kayla lost her life in a car crash. “Forever my baby, Pretty Black aka Kayla Nicole Bailey,” she expressed on Instagram. “This is not a goodbye. Mommy will see you soon.” In a separate post, she thanked fans for their overwhelming support and condolences during that grueling time. Hopefully Minaj was also able to provide some light into her life, however minimal a drink together may seem at first glance.

“My baby girl is so loved by all of youuuuu!!!” Brooke Bailey wrote. “The love and support my family has received today is unreal and so appreciated. Thank you! Kayla left a mark on so many lives. She entered the room and demanded respect, love, and attention. If you had the pleasure of meeting her and being friends with her, she has forever changed your life. It was God preparing me for this moment in my life,” she remarked concerning her fasting and and praying just days before the tragedy, though she thought it was for something else. “Although I was not prepared. I am grateful for the 25 years he blessed me to have HIS child. To love her, to hold her, to teach her, to comfort her. She was my happiness on Earth.” Sadly for Nicki Minaj, she also has her own experiences with grief.

However, it’s at least heartening to see the two have a good time and show each other love and support in that way. Amid a lot of new releases and drops from the “Red Ruby Da Sleeze” MC, it can be hard to keep sight of that. While those wounds never truly heal, there is always the chance to move forward and keep those memories alive. For the latest news and updates from Nicki Minaj and Brooke Bailey, log back into HNHH.
