This news comes shortly after Sarunas Jackson, the brother of Darius Jackson, faced accusations of abuse from his ex-girlfriend and Insecure costar, DomiNique Perry.

Court Document Details

Palmer had initially filed for full custody of their child and a restraining order against Jackson, which was granted based on leaked camera footage showing Jackson physically assaulting her. 

The disturbing video depicted Jackson lunging at Palmer’s neck, assaulting her, and forcefully taking her phone when she attempted to contact the authorities. The court documents state that both parties:

“Are concurrently filing a Stipulation and Order to continue The Court’s Order to Participate in Mediation currently set for November 29, 2023, and Petitioner’s Request for Domestic Violence Restraining Order, which is currently set for December 5, 2023, to allow the parties time to attend mediation.”

Beyonce & Omarion Light Up Our New “R&B Season” Playlist Update: Stream

Winter is here, and there’s still a lot of great new music to find within it on our newest R&B Season playlist update. Leading the way is a new track from none other than Beyoncé, who recently celebrated the ten-year anniversary of her self-titled album. In order to do so, she released a brand new track from this era titled “Grown Woman,” which is a vibrant and jovial cut with a lot of frantic and engaging percussion. In fact, it’s not too far from what the RENAISSANCE star is playing with these days, so this is a really special full-circle moment for fans.

Furthermore, we also got a brand new album from B2K’s own Omarion this week with Full Circle: Sonic Book Two. With its slow tempos, sultry instrumental riffs, atmospheric backing textures, and buttery vocal performances, this is among the most classic R&B on this Season update. Particularly, the track “Taking Off” with BJRNCK is a sensual duet with washed-out drums and bubbly backing synths. There’s a certain swing and momentum to the melodies and bass licks here that makes this a prime cut for late night drives, a smoke session, or… you know. It’s Omarion, after all!

HNHH R&B Season Playlist: Stream

Jokes aside, we also got another cut from the original motion picture soundtrack for The Color Purple on this R&B Season update. Keyshia Cole’s contribution, “No Love Lost,” is a heart-ached but powerfully perseverant song with grand and cathartic instrumentation, highlighted best by the wondrous string arrangements. In addition, LAVI$H’s new single “Your Biggest Fan” strips things back to some gentle guitar and harp strings and a reverb-soaked vocal performance. It’s one of the more lovey-dovey cuts from this new batch of releases, and its simplicity does a lot to focus on that emotive center.

Rounding things out is a new track from amani., the woozy, trap-inspired, and incredibly charismatic “Headache.” Finally, we wanted to shout out TheARTI$T’s single “Damaged” for its hazy synths, cavernous percussion, and romantically conflicted lyricism. Hip-hop never slows down, even amid the holiday season, and our new Fire Emoji playlist update rounded up the best of the best when it comes to new releases this week. First up we have Nicki Minaj, whose new album Pink Friday 2 is dominating thanks to fun tracks like “Everybody” with Lil Uzi Vert. In addition, she just dropped a Gag City Deluxe version featuring a “Beep Beep” remix with 50 Cent and a new song, “Love Me Enough,” with Monica and Keyshia Cole. As such, the Barbz are helping us close our 2023 with style and energy, and they’ll probably carry that energy into 2024.

Another deluxe version on Fire Emoji this week came from A$AP Twelvyy, who dropped an expanded version of his album Kid$ Gotta Eat. As far as standouts, look no further than “Yams Day,” honoring the late and great A$AP Yams. Kanye West has made headlines again with a fiery rant at a listening party for his upcoming joint album, Vultures, with Ty Dolla $ign. The event took an unexpected turn when Ye went off on a tangent, mentioning Jay-Z, Zionists, and even Adolf Hitler.

​​During the morning of Dec. 15, Ye went on a rant at the Las Vegas listening party for his album, Vultures, which was broadcast on influencer YesJulz’s Instagram Live.

The controversial rapper took the opportunity to express his frustrations and grievances, targeting various individuals and groups. One of his main targets was his former business partner Adidas, whom he accused of attempting to “cancel” him:

“Y’all ain’t stop that Adidas s**t,” Ye said in part. “Y’all n*ggas let Adidas crash the richest n*gga of all time. I put up one tweet and then Ari Emanuel put, ‘Oh we gotta drop this n***a,’ and all n*ggas just watched. The only n*gga that had the Trump hat. The only n*gga that went and got them billions. The only n*gga that break through all kinds of ideas in fashion. I’ve been called a f**got so many times for tight jeans. I got n***as from Chicago that I take care of that still try to sell me.”

‘Who You Think The Old Man Call?’

Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign are building anticipation for their highly-anticipated joint album, Vultures. Recently, the captivating cover art and an exciting trailer were revealed. 

The Reveal

After Ye sparked much controversy during the preview party in Miami, the cover art for Vultures was unveiled on Dec. 12, portraying a striking image of a bird or vulture perched atop a shovel after a burial. The background consists of serene grassy hills devoid of any human presence. 

The artwork captivated fans’ attention, with some drawing comparisons to the Norwegian music project Burzum, which is a Norwegian music project founded by Varg Vikernes that started in 1991 and focuses on black metal music. Vikernes has had a reputation for being a neo-nazi and for his far-right political views.  

 Twitter (X) users expressed mixed reactions. One user named @Konstan26389534 commented, “Feels like a burzum album cover… I like it.”  Another user named @Tugboat_FGC commented, “pretty concerning the project to take inspiration from ngl.”

The Trailer

The duo took over the stage to promote their highly-anticipated collaborative album, Vultures. Amid the album preview performance, Ye sparked more controversy as he donned a Black KKK hood.

In the leaked video, West can be seen walking through spacious fields, accompanied by sheep. Other individuals are also depicted lying on the grass or near a body of water. 

The video features multiple songs with features from artists like Travis Scott and Ant Clemons. According to reports, the visual album was shot in Wyoming, where West has ample ranch space. It was directed by Vanessa Beecroft.

Ye Takes Legal Action Against Leaker

Palmer had initially filed for full custody of their child and a restraining order against Jackson, which was granted based on leaked camera footage showing Jackson physically assaulting her. 

The disturbing video depicted Jackson lunging at Palmer’s neck, assaulting her, and forcefully taking her phone when she attempted to contact the authorities. The court documents state that both parties:

“Are concurrently filing a Stipulation and Order to continue The Court’s Order to Participate in Mediation currently set for November 29, 2023, and Petitioner’s Request for Domestic Violence Restraining Order, which is currently set for December 5, 2023, to allow the parties time to attend mediation.”

Well, then now we have to involve the authorities, because you don’t respect or value yourself and I can see no my son’s life. You might have to kill all of us. I will file a police report on you now.”

In response to Yhinyer’s outreach, Sharon responded:

“ Please do not contact me with this ridiculous childish behavior your son choked his own sister, deal with his anger issues, if he attacks my daughter in her own own where she pays the bills he is trespassing and anything can happen so he should stay away. This creative approach reflects Ye’s distinct artistic vision, which has made him a trendsetter in the entertainment industry. Users on Twitter (X) reacted to the launch of the YEWS app in mixed ways.

Kanye West has recently filed a trademark for the term, “YEWS.” The Chicago rapper plans to use it across various industries, including streaming, restaurants, financial services, real estate, clothing, media and audio, entertainment content, beauty products, and more. ​​As the news broke, fans began speculating whether Kanye was intentionally provoking the Jewish community.

‘YEWS’

It has been reported that Kanye West, also known as Ye,  has recently filed a trademark for the term, “YEWS.” 

The filing was made on Oct. 2 under the LLC Ox Poha Inc., which is linked to the DONDA artist’s office address on Melrose Ave in Los Angeles. Despite filing the trademark, Kanye has not publicly commented on its purpose or intentions despite filing the trademark.

Is Ye ‘Trolling’?

Some fans on social media believe that Ye is deliberately “trolling” the Jewish community with the term “YEWS.” One user commented, “This is a wild man LMAO,” while another speculated, “Prob doing this, so he can say that he hates them without getting canceled again.” 

The Yeezy mogul faced backlash in Oct. 2022 for an anti-Semitic rant on Twitter, leading to the loss of several endorsement deals. Kanye has not publicly commented on the trademark. 

In May 2023, Kanye West filed another trademark for “Yeezy sock shoes” through his holding company, Mascotte Holdings. This filing aimed to expand and explore innovative footwear designs under the Yeezy brand.

This perception stems from previous incidents, such as Kanye placing a Yeezy office in Los Angeles next to an Adidas building after the company had previously cut ties with him. This occurred following his anti-Semitic remarks.

‘Alicia Teas’

In a similar vein, Alicia Keys filed a trademark on Sept. 25 for a new line of teas called “Alicia Teas.” Her company, AK Worldwide, secured the rights to the name and even hinted at a possible future collaboration with the popular coffee chain Starbucks in the future.

On Wednesday, Dec.13, the Queens, NY native proudly shared the news on his Instagram. He posted a photo of the property, a brown building prominently featuring the words “G-Unit Film & Television, Inc.” The building is fenced off with a black gate, showcasing the exclusivity of this new venture.

In his Instagram caption, 50 Cent expressed excitement about the opportunities that G-Unit Studios would bring to the film community in Louisiana. He wrote: 

“All Roads lead to Shreveport if you’re ready to work in film and television. G-Unit Studios is officially in Louisiana. GLG GreenLightGang.”

50 Cent continues to solidify his presence in the television industry as Shreveport, Louisiana, has approved the lease for his G Unit Film & Television Studios. The recent decision was made by Shreveport City Council members, greenlighting the TV mogul’s upcoming studio.

50 Cent’s Studios Gets The Greenlight

The lease agreement, introduced by Shreveport City Council members on Nov. 14, authorizes the lease of the Millennium Movie Studio to 50 Cent’s G-Unit Film & Television Louisiana, LLC. 

This lease aims to establish a production studio and facilitate activities related to promoting and developing the film, sound, light, movie, television, broadcasting, recording, and arts industries.

Shreveport Mayor Expresses Excitement

Shreveport mayor Tom Arceneaux shared a statement to the city’s KSLA News and expressed his enthusiasm for the lease agreement, highlighting the potential rejuvenation of the city’s television and film industry. 

”We enjoyed for a period after 2005, we enjoyed a very robust television and film industry in the Shreveport area. This will bring back I think a lot of those people and will rejuvenate that industry in our area. So I think the film industry is about to blossom again in Shreveport,” Arceneaux said. 

If the current lease draft is approved, it will be valid for 30 years at an annual rate of $2,400, with the option to renew for an additional 15 years. The city council is expected to finalize this decision on December 12.

50 Cent To Open G-Unit Film Studio In Louisiana

Rapper and television producer, 50 Cent, is expanding his empire by opening his own film studio in Louisiana. The 985,000 square foot warehouse will be known as “G-Unit Studios,” where 50 Cent will further expand his G-Unit brand in the TV & film industry. 

The property, formerly home to Millennium Studios, has been under negotiation with 50 Cent since April 2023.  The Ledbetter Heights facility in downtown Shreveport was opened in 2007 to service productions in Louisiana and has been leased by the city of Shreveport through December 2057.  

The facility is well-equipped for production, with two sound stages, a construction mill, an SFX mill, and a VFX studio. 

The TV mogul’s foray into television began with the Power series in 2014 and has had spin-offs such as Power Book II: Ghost, Power Book III: Raising Kanan, and Power Book IV: Force. His Power spinoff shows are among the most-watched shows on the Starz network, and the series won two NAACP Image Awards for “Outstanding Drama Series.” Additionally, 50 Cent has produced Hip-Hop Homicides, Fightland, and BMF (Black Mafia Family).

50 Cent’s “G-Unit Studios” will provide him with a private space to create new shows and films. The facility’s former 985,000-square-foot warehouse features two sound stages, production offices, and VFX and SFX studios. 

The rapper-turned-media mogul is currently partnered with Starz. He has expressed frustration with Starz and says he intends to leave the network once their contract expires. 50 Cent also recently signed a non-exclusive deal with Fox.

Mary J. Blige, who is part of the Power Book II series cast, is also making her mark in the film industry by executive producing movies with Lifetime.

Blac Chyna & Tyga Reach Agreement In Child Custody Battle

Blac Chyna has finally received a decision in her ongoing custody battle with rapper Tyga over their son King. The court concluded after Tyga sought sole custody of their child in October 2023. 

Parental Guidelines

After an ongoing custody battle, Blac Chyna and Tyga have reportedly reached a legal agreement.

Under the agreement, their 11-year-old son King, will continue primarily living with Tyga, but Chyna will have visitation rights every weekend from Friday until Monday. Both parents have also agreed not to speak negatively or disrespectfully about each other in the presence of their child, with the expectation that family members and friends comply as well.

This custody dispute dates back to July 2023, when Chyna filed a petition to determine the parental relationship between her and Tyga. 

She requested joint custody at that time, as the couple had never established an official custody or support arrangement. Chyna believed that a court-ordered schedule would help resolve the issues surrounding interference with her custody time.

Back To The Basics

In addition to the custody battle, the former Instagram model asked for $125,000 from Tyga to hire a forensic accountant to assess his finances. She argued that child support should be based on his income, as her income had significantly decreased in recent years. 

Blac Chyna even resorted to selling off luxury items to make ends meet. However, before the court could decide on these matters, the former couple reached their current agreement.

Tyga Seeks Sole Custody Of Son In Legal Battle Against Blac Chyna

Tyga has taken a legal step in the ongoing custody dispute with Blac Chyna by seeking sole custody of their son. This action is in reaction to White’s petition for joint custody, filed just three months ago, as both parents vie for authority in their child’s upbringing.

Tyga has requested sole custody of his song, King Cairo Stevenson, with socialite, Blac Chyna, real name Angela White. This request is amid three months of White requesting joint custody of their son in a petition to determine the parental relationship, which she filed in July 2023.

This development follows Blac Chyna’s recent interview with Tamron Hall, where she addressed accusations of financial struggles and her need to sell her belongings for “a fresh start.” However, neither White, Tyga nor their representatives have made any public statements in response to this custody drama.

Tyga’s Request for Sole Custody

In the “Taste” rapper’s quest for sole custody, there are concerns about its impact on the co-parenting relationship between him and Blac Chyna.   

In a recent filing, Tyga states that he is seeking legal and physical custody, allowing White only weekend visitation rights from Friday after school until Sunday at 5 p.m. Furthermore, the filing imposes restrictions on White’s ability to take King out of state without written permission.

Blac Chyna has clarified recent reports about her decision to sell personal belongings during an interview with Nischelle Turner on Entertainment Tonight. In her discussion with Turner, White expressed her desire for a fresh start and a new perspective on material possessions. The recent reports came amidst her ongoing custody dispute with rapper Tyga over their son, King.

On Tuesday, Oct. 3, Angela White, formerly known as Blac Chyna, cleared the air on why she recently began selling her personal belongings during an interview on Entertainment Tonight with Nischelle Turner:  

“ I just kind of wanted a fresh start and I don’t think nothing is wrong with selling like your old stuff like people have eBay people sell their own car… I feel like now this point in my life I don’t really value materialistic things…”

Giving Up Old Habits

Turner then inquired if White was concerned about running out of money, to which White replied:

“The type of person  I am and the type of life God has set up for me, I’ll never run out of anything, and I’ll always be very fruitful, because I always give back and make sure my family my friends, my staff everybody around me is taken care of and sometimes I put people before myself cause I feel like you know I just want to make sure they’re OK Kind of like look into that and Cana feet into that also.”

Recently, rumors spread like wildfire that the former Instagram model began selling her personal belongings to make ends meet due to leaving her old habits behind and seeking a new life.

Despite her transformation and newfound glow, many believed White’s decision to leave behind platforms like OnlyFans had caused a significant decline in her income, where White turned to an online consignment shop and her family and friends, selling her personal items for some much-needed cash. 

Battles With Tyga

The financial struggle allegations stem from her ongoing custody battle with her son King’s father and well-known rapper Tyga.

According to legal documents, White generated over $178K this year through her recent sales. In addition, White has also claimed in court documents that Tyga is interfering with her limited time with their child. 

Despite being granted only 24 hours a week, the “Taste” rapper allegedly refuses to communicate directly with her, withholding important information about their child’s life, including contact details, address, school information, prescriptions, and general updates about their well-being.

Sources Say Otherwise 

However, anonymous sources have refuted White’s claims, asserting that she does have direct communication with her son and is aware of where Tyga resides. It has also been reported that Tyga takes care of all the everyday expenses related to their child, including school tuition and medical bills. 

Despite these conflicting reports, White is now seeking a court order to compel Tyga to contribute $125,000 to cover her legal and accounting fees, as well as establish a consistent and interference-free schedule with their child.

Despite legal and financial battles, Angela White has been prospering. White recently appeared on the Tamron Hall Show to celebrate her one-year sobriety.

Chris Brown Owes Popeyes?

In a similar theme of financial and legal battles, another prominent artist, Chris Brown, is facing his legal trouble. A bank has filed a lawsuit against Brown, seeking $2 million in unpaid funds related to his attempt to acquire two Popeyes franchise restaurants.
