Tierra Whack Tells Us Why She Loves Freshening Up On “SHOWER SONG”

One of the main draws about Tierra Whack is her willingness to really put herself out there and challenge the boundaries she can push. In doing so she also asks the listener to see how far they are willing to go in trying something new. That is what Tierra is doing on this brand-new single, “SHOWER SONG.” This serves as the second track she has shown off from her debut album.

As it stands right now, WORLD WIDE WHACK will be available on all streaming platforms on March 15. Sadly, it is still just over two months away. Before this, Tierra put out “Chanel Pit” back in early November. While there were articles written that she was going to be dropping her debut back then, we know all the information.

Listen To “SHOWER SONG” By Tierra Whack

“SHOWER SONG” is anything but your typical rap song. But, that should be expected from Tierra. At its core, it is a cut about loving to take showers. Singing while freshening up is a great guilty pleasure that most people have and she wanted to share that she has that same feeling. Tierra hilariously compares herself to some of the greatest singers ever. The shower gives her the confidence to sing like Aretha Franklin, Britney Spears, Alicia Keys, and Whitney Houston. The funky and minimal beat, paired with the vibrant music video just adds up to how creative the Pennsylvanian is.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new single, “SHOWER SONG,” by Tierra Whack? Will this be the best song on the album, why or why not? Are you excited for her to finally drop her debut project in March? Is this the better of the two songs, why or why not? We would like to hear what you have to say about all of this. Skepta Drops Braggadocious Bars On “Gas Me Up (Diligent)”

Skepta had the internet in a little bit of a frenzy a couple of weeks ago when he revealed some cover art. It is for his second album single “Gas Me Up (Diligent)” which just dropped today. The song will land on his next highly-awaited studio album Knife And Fork. The reason why some people were so up in arms about it was because the artwork evoked one of the most inhumane events in the history of mankind.

As most music fans are aware, Kanye was dragged through the mud (deservedly so) for his derogatory statements. Those of which were directed at the Jewish community. Fans were jumping to conclusions that Skepta was in on the hate speech as well. However, the UK rapper hopped on Twitter to explain the meaning behind his artistic direction.

Some fans were praising him for sticking to his guns and not letting others influence his decision. Originally, Skepta was going to fix it but decided against it. Now that the song is here, how does it sound? Well, it is not too shabby. The production from Cardo is solid with cowbells, kick drums, and nice bass. Skepta brings a nice flow and some nice bars about becoming successful. Overall, there is nothing that is mind-blowing, but it sounds fine.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new single, “Gas Me Up (Diligent),” by Skepta? Is this the better of the two singles, if so why? Does this track get you excited for Knife And Fork? Is Skepta the greatest UK rapper ever? We would like to hear what you have to say about all of this. With that in mind, be sure to leave all of your hottest takes in the comments section below. Quotable Lyrics:

Soon as you say, “On sight,” wе lookin’ for you like some vintage Prada
Lookin’ for you like some archive pieces (Pow-pow, pow)
Jealousy in the ends, they hate when you become successful
But in the trenches, we were all friends
How long we tryna pretend?
I know they love to see me do well

Lil Nas X Gets Introspective On “Where Do We Go Now?”

Throughout Lil Nas X’s career, the songs that have helped him blow up are his blockbuster bangers. Go figure though right? But, one of the more underrated talents he possesses is the ability to write thought-provoking tracks. That is what he is bringing to the table this week with “Where Do We Go Now?” This is Nas X’s second single in two weeks. The reason why this one is out so quickly is that his documentary is dropping tomorrow.

This single will be able to be heard in Lil Nas X: Long Live Montero. The Georgia native is showing fans what it was like during the first world tour of his still-young journey in music. His film will be out on Max and HBO on January 27 at 8 p.m. Since we know that this is a song that accompanies this project, it will be interesting to see if his next tape will be a soundtrack.

Although, “J CHRIST” has some underlying meanings tied to Christianity and the Gospel. So, who knows at this point? But, what we can tell you is that Nas X hit it out of the park with this one. Debatably, this may be the better put-together track out of the two. While it may perform even worse than its predecessor, “Where Do We Go Now?” is minimal but effective. The quaint and singer/songwriter-like production paired with his lyrics about feeling lost with himself are a match made in heaven. Give it a try with the link above.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new single “Where Do We Go Now?” by Lil Nas X? Is this going to be the best track from his upcoming record? Do you like when he gets more emotional, or when he delivers bangers? Which track is the stronger of the two and why? We would like to hear what you have to say about all of this. Heems Returns With Saul Williams And Lapgan For “Accent,” The Lead Single To His Upcoming Project

New York has so many corners of hip-hop, with underground being one of its most prevalent. That is where Punjabi-American rapper Heems has resided for his career. Overall, he has not been extremely active. He has delivered a decent string of singles over the past year as far as Heems’ standards are concerned. But, the last full-length tape we got from him came back in 2015 with Eat Pray Thug.

However, that is all changing after almost nine (!) years. Heems will be dropping a collaboration album with Indian-American producer Lapgan. The tape will be titled LAFANDAR and is due to be released on Friday, February 16. It will be an offering from Heems’ label Veena Sounds which is another exciting project of his.

Tierra Whack Unveils Debut Album, “World Wide Whack,” Coming Soon

You won’t find many MCs in the modern era that are as vibrant, versatile, or viciously sought-after as Tierra Whack. Moreover, her creative blends of hip-hop, pop, R&B, and alternative, all under a cheeky, playful, but nonetheless impactful lens, have captivated fans in the mainstream and underground alike ever since her 2018 project Whack World. However, it’s been a long time since we heard anything from the Philly MC in a long-form capacity, particularly her Rap?, Pop?, and R&B? EPs from 2021. Along with some singles and loose freestyles, this fueled the fire for fans begging for more and more, and she finally took the step to invite fans into her world once more.

Furthermore, Tierra Whack just announced her debut album, World Wide Whack, set for a March 15 release via Interscope Records. “I really took my time with this, so I hope you all enjoy it as much as I do,” she wrote on her social media platforms along with the project’s cover art. Not only that, but the “Chanel Pit” multi-hyphenate (a track which might appear on this LP) also announced her lead single for the project, “Shower Song,” which will come out this Friday (January 26). She had previously previewed this song with a cheeky Internet clip of her in the bathtub with some hot dogs… that she proceeded to eat with some mustard. Tasty!

Tierra Whack Announces World Wide Whack & “Shower Song”

Of course, fans are incredibly excited to dive into World Wide Whack, and it’s great to see one of the best hip-hop artists working today diving into a new rollout. Hopefully this incorporates the genre blends in more progressive and meaty ways compared to the potential and strong songwriting displayed on previous singles and her 2021 EPs. We can’t really predict what Tierra Whack will do here, but that is exactly what makes this a very anticipated project for 2024’s first quarter. If anything, it will hopefully and likely be a critical darling that you can bet will get consideration on mid-year and even end-of-year lists.

Meanwhile, as fans also found out about her bonding with Tyler, The Creator and a potential collab, this is just all good news compounding on itself. Bizarre Teases Upcoming LP With Mean-Mugging Single “Uncle”

Detroit has been the birthplace of some of the most special talents in hip-hop history. It may not get the same shine as places like Los Angeles, Chicago, and Atlanta, but it deserves to be right up there with them. One of the reasons why is due largely in part to the former rap posse D12. Formed in 1996 by maybe the best to ever do it, Eminem, is no more. The Real Slim Shady talked about it on his surprise 2018 record Kamikaze. He addressed the fallout with his members such as Bizarre, Bugz, Proof, and the rest of the gang.

Bizarre is someone who is still going strong all these years later. Spitting aggressively since 1998, he is continuing his career with an upcoming album. It appears it will be released under Shady Records as opposed to some of his other affiliations such as Redhead. To help promote Ratt Poison, Bizarre is bringing a gritty street banger called “Uncle.”

Listen To “Uncle” By Bizarre

This will be continuing a very active streak for Bizarre that started in late February of last year. He went on to drop three projects in 2023. Those were 18159 Stout, Drugged Emotions Unleashed, and HGG2. The latter of the two were collaborations with Freder Seric and Foul Mouth. Be sure to tap in when the album drops. But, for now, stream “Uncle” with the YouTube link above.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new single, “Uncle,” by Bizarre? Is this one of the better songs he has put out lately? Will Ratt Poison be one of his best records ever, why or why not? Kota The Friend Spits With Ease On Upcoming Album Cut “Yuma”

Kota the Friend just has a knack for writing quick but memorable cuts. That is what he was able to do with his latest effort “Yuma.” Another thing he likes to do is travel as a lot of song titles are either named after states, cities, and landmarks. Kota’s last journey took him to the scenic West Coast state of “Oregon” for what is now the lead single to his upcoming album.

The prolific rapper hailing from Brooklyn has a long-standing series in his discography. Lyrics to GO has four entries with the most recent one dropping nearly a year ago to the day. Now, Kota will be introducing us to the fifth installment this coming Thursday, January 25. The project will feature 12 tracks and one feature/beat from the legendary Hit-Boy.

Some of the names of the songs include “Milan,” “Vienna,” “Beijing,” Alabama Hills,” and “Yuma.” The latter is the second and presumably last rollout single for Lyrics to GO Vol. 5. It is another short listen with sharp lyricism. Kota details how fun it is to travel across the country to perform. He also talks about living a free life while simultaneously thinking back to the unfortunate lives his ancestors lived.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new single, “Yuma,” by Kota the Friend? Is this one of his better songs in recent memory? Sauce Walka is one of the more underrated talents from Texas. He has proven that he can deliver his music in different ways. The 33-year-old veteran is not a one-note kind of guy and he proves that on his newest single. Currently, it is only available on YouTube, so if you want to listen to it, check out the link below. Sauce is throwing things back to the 90s with “Im Him.” It is a three-minute track that flexes his ability to spit with ease. You could say he is rapping like the rent is due on this one. Walka had the song produced by Daringer, who works on the Griselda label.

It may be a bit of an unexpected collaboration, but it works to perfection. Daringer brings a smooth, boom-bap flavor to the table, and Walka feasts on it. Excitingly, this is a teaser to the Houston native’s upcoming project for 2024. When it drops, it will follow up his lone 2023 LP, DAT BOY DEN. It will be tied into the albums named after him.

Lyrical Lemonade Unveils “All Is Yellow” Tracklist With Features From JID, Jack Harlow, Dave, Kid Cudi, And More

2024 looks to be the year of grand proportions. After a fairly quiet 2023, especially in terms of mainstream artists, they look to be making up for lost time. Everyone is popping out for January. We have just received projects from 21 Savage, Kid Cudi, and singles from tons of key players. Lyrical Lemonade is joining the party in just a couple of weeks now. The media and music company headed by the ever-so-talented Cole Bennett will be dropping their debut project. It is due on January 26 and will feature some immense talent.

We have already gotten plenty of stellar singles such as “Stop Giving Me Advice,” with Jack Harlow and Dave and “Doomsday” with Juice WRLD and Cordae. However, those are just a few of the stars that will be on All is Yellow. According to HipHopDX, Lyrical’s X account unveiled the tracklist and it is stacked to say the least. Here is who you can hear on it.

Right off the bat, we can expect a wild banger to open the album. Sheck Wes, Ski Mask the Slump God, and JID will appear on “Fly Away.” Chief Keef and Lil Yachty will collaborate in what should be a fun experiment on “Say Ya Grace.” However, the most unique mix of talent has to be on “First Night.” That is going to feature Teezo Touchdown, Juicy J, Cochise, Denzel Curry, and Lil B. Hopefully that all comes together because that has the potential to be great. Other notable mentions include Eminem, BabyTron, G Herbo, Latto, Swae Lee, and Aminé.
