Michael Jackson Estate Accuses Latoya Jackson’s Ex-fiance of Robbing Jackson’s Estate Following His Death

Almost exactly 13 years after his death, Michael Jackson‘s estate has accused Jeffre Phillips, the ex-fiance of the late singer’s sister LaToya Jackson, of stealing some of the singer’s personal effects following Jackson’s death in 2009.

Phillips was apparently staying at Jackson’s estate as a guest in 2009 when the singer died. He had reportedly been staying there for just over a week and stayed about the same amount of time after Jackson’s death. Phillips allegedly stole many of Jackson’s personal effects including his iPhone, clothes, driver’s license, prescription pills, handwritten letters, electronics including video cameras, computers, laptops, and hard drives, as well as a briefcase that contained some of Jackson’s personal and business paperwork. He allegedly also stole the pajamas that Jackson was wearing at the time of his death.

Phillips was dating LaToya Jackson at the time although the pair did not get engaged until 2013. They broke up in 2015.

So far, it does not appear that formal charges have been filed against Phillips.

Cardi B is ready to throw her music into the summer flurry. The superstar rapper hit Twitter to announce her new single, “Hot Shit,” will arrive this Friday.

“My new single ‘Hot Shit’ available everywhere THIS FRIDAY 7/1,” Cardi wrote on Twitter. “Tomorrow 8pm I got another surprise for yall, tune in.”

Last week, Cardi B signaled new music was on the way, letting her fans know that she is channeling her 2020 energy.

Jason Lee Hosts Second Annual Hollywood Unlocked Impact Award Celebrating Lizzo, Jenifer Lewis and Floyd Mayweather

The second annual Hollywood Unlocked Impact Awards, which place a strong emphasis on Black ownership, amplifying Black voices, and reclaiming Black narratives, were hosted by Jason Lee, founder of Hollywood Unlocked and head of media for Kanye West. Hollywood Unlocked’s annual awards ceremony, with the theme “Controlling Our Narratives,” honored talent for how they use their platform and influence to improve communities and society as a whole.

Hosted at The Beverly Hilton, this year’s event honored Lizzo (Fearlessness Award), Karen Bass (Community Award), Drink Champs N.O.R.E. (Culture Award), Jenifer Lewis (Perseverance Award), Floyd Mayweather (Pioneer Award), and Kelis (Innovation Award).

The 2022 Hollywood Unlocked Impact Awards were hosted by Tiffany Haddish. Presenters included Blueface, Jabari Banks, Claudia Jordan and featured a surprise appearance by Mariah Carey. Performances included David Sebastian and Le’Andria Johnson.

This past March, fans were shocked when Love and Hip Hop Hollywood reality TV star Apple Watts was involved in a head-on collision with a diesel truck, The accident left her unresponsive and her sister started a go fund me to help support Apple and her children during this time.

During a heartbreaking Instagram live, Apple struggled to talk with her sister at her bedside. The spunky star is fighting her way back into recovery and promises everyone she will be back on TV soon.

 Well as everyone knows my sister is up and alert she understands and follows commands, right now she is in speech therapy so that her trachea can be removed and that therapy helps her with speech and swallowing she is also in physical therapy she been trying to balance herself by sitting on the edge of the bed with her feet on the floor it’s all a process and she is trying to get there she still be talking mess even to me lol but I love it just shows she still her and we are still waiting for her to be transferred and I been talking to them and doing a lot of looking around to speed the process but yea she is doing good and I’m still on the visits just family so please respect that thanks

Big Sean and Jhené Aiko Reportedly Expecting Child

Long-time on-again, off-again couple Big Sean and Jhené Aiko are reportedly expecting their first child together, multiple sources claim.

Over the weekend, Twitter user @KenKiablo posted: “I jus saw Jhene Aiko and Big Sean at Whole Foods and she’s very pregnant  iktr Sean.”

The claim seems to be backed up by Aiko’s Instagram posts, which feature the artist in baggy clothing, possibly hiding her pregnancy with the “Bounce Back” rapper. Sources close to the two have also confirmed the rumors.

The pair have been on and off for many years, getting together in 2016 before breaking up and then reconciling in 2019. For the past few years, they had kept their relationship pretty much under wraps. However, it appeared that they were together (or at least on good terms) at this year’s Coachella when Big Sean brought Aiko onstage for his single “I Know” from his Dark Sky Paradise album. During the performance, he appeared affectionate, hugging Aiko as she seductively danced with him during the song.

If true, this would be Big Sean’s first child and Aiko’s second child. Aiko has a 13-year-old son, Namiko Love Browner, from a previous relationship.

Drake Debuts New Radio Show, Drops Two More Tracks, Teases Poetry Book

Drake is having an incredibly busy long weekend, seemingly dropping new projects left and right. In addition to dropping the much-discussed dance-inspired album Honestly, Nevermind, Drizzy also premiered his new SiriusXM radio show, Table for One. 

On the show, he discussed his exploration into new sounds for the album as well as teased two more new tracks: “Confusion” and “I Could Never.”

“Confusion” features Drake’s signature crooning over some solid mid-tempo EDM-type beats while “I could never” is a slowed-down lyrical ballad interspersed with piano riffs and dynamic beats. 

He also teased another Scary Hours pack to come in the near future as well as a poetry book. Needless to say, fans are to see what Drake does next since nothing seems outside of the realm of possibility for the multifaceted artist anymore.

On a blog on SiriusXM’s website, Drake explained the rationale behind the name of his new show, stating: “I called it Table For One ’cause more times when I really need to lock in, focus, I always get a table in whatever restaurant to myself. Have some drinks, go through music, figure out what the next moves are for me and where everything is at, so that’s kind of what the show’s about. This show’s just about zoning out. I’m excited to bring this to you permanently. Table For One, we do it all without doing the most.”

Drake Responds To ‘Honestly, Nevermind’ Criticism: “It’s All Good If You Don’t Get It”

The internet was set ablaze yesterday when Drake announced that his 7th studio album Honestly, Nevermind would be dropping last night. At midnight, people tuned in, and at 12:05, the tweets started rolling in, and the internet was set ablaze again, this time not in a good way.

The album is a departure from Drake’s usual sound and it came as a shock to fans. Many did not expect Drizzy to drop a dance/jersey club/house music album. Many were quick to call the album bad, saying it was even worse than Certified Lover Boy which was heavily criticized as well. Many even compared the album to music you’d hear shopping at Forever 21 or H&M.

Drake heard saw the tweets and decided to respond to the criticism of his album. In a clip, you can hear Drake saying “It’s all good if you don’t get it yet. That’s what we do! We wait for you to catch up. We in here, though, we caught up already. On to the next. My goodness!”

Along with the release of the album, Drake dropped a music video for the track “Falling Back” which features a Tristian Thompson cameo.

Following the album’s release, Drake released a statement where he dedicated the album to the late fashion designer, Virgil Abloh.

Nicki Minaj, A$AP Rocky and Future Set To Headline Rolling Loud New York 2022

Rolling Loud revealed its lineup for this year’s New York edition. Nicki Minaj, A$AP Rocky and Future will serve as headliners for the three day festival.  Returning to Citi Field from September 23 to September 25. Future is also headlining Rolling Loud Miami in July and Toronto in early September.

Last year’s festival which sold out featured headliners and performers like Travis Scott, 50 Cent, A$ap Ferg, Bobby Shmurda, Joey Bada$$, and others. This year also includes a long list of must-see performers.

New York 2022 will officially be Big Sean’s first time performing at RL fest. Other artists set to perform at the traveling Hip-Hop festival include Lil Uzi Vert, Westside Gunn, Lil Baby, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie,Shenseea, Don Toliver, Busta Rhymes, Erica Banks, Fivio Foreign, 21 Savage and more.

Ye Returns To Instagram To Call Out Adidas For Copying His Shoes

Kanye has been relatively quiet on social media as of late, but it seems as if the apparent copying of one of his sneakers made him speak about it on IG.

A few weeks ago, the first pictures of Adidas Adilette ’22 slide dropped. Many people were excited to get the slide as it resembled a Yeezy Slide, which, unlike the Adidas slide, is hard to get and always sells out. The Adidas slide has since dropped and sold out, and are expected to release in multiple colorways on June 23.

Ye took to Instagram to scold the German sportswear brand and call out its CEO Kasper Rørsted.

“THIS IS YE driving down the same street Kobe passed on,” Ye said. “Maybe I feel that Mamba spirit right now To Kasper I’m not standing for this blatant copying no more To all sneaker culture To every ball player rapper or even if you work at the store This is for everyone who wants to express themselves but feel they can’t cause they’ll loose their contract or be called crazy Bravery is not not being afraid Bravery is overcoming your fear for your truth This Ye with the blue paint on my face These shoes represent the disrespect that people in power have to the talent This shoe is a fake Yeezy made by adidas themselves I’m not talking to DC about this either Kasper come talk to me Happy Monday.”

What makes this interesting is that Kanye is in partnership with Adidas to produce and market his Yeezy brand shoes. Adidas does not own the Yeezy’s and in the past, have made shoes that somewhat resemble Yeezy’s.

Kasper has not responded to Ye’s allegations and it is unsure that he will.
