Michael Chandler has confirmed that he will be fighting Conor McGregor this year. “I’ve got the official announcement. It’s happening this summer. I can’t tell you the actual date, but it’s happening this summer!” Chandler told TMZ. This news came days after McGregor told he wanted to fight Mike Tyson this year. That in itself would be an impressive feat, given that Tyson is already scheduled to fight Jake Paul. However, it looks like McGregor will instead be looking to return to his natural habitat of MMA.

McGregor had previously teased a fight with Chandler for the summer. “I’d like to announce the return date for myself, ‘Notorious’ Conor McGregor. The greatest comeback of all time will take place in Las Vegas, International Fight Week of June 29. The opponent, Michael Chandler — and the weight, Mr. Chandler, 185 pounds,” McGregor announced in a video on X on New Year’s Eve. However, the UFC did not, and has not, confirmed that fight. That may change given Chandler’s new announcement.

Elsewhere, A number of fans have theorized that McGregor is being kept out of the octagon due to a cocaine addiction. “Bro is absolutely geeking . Their evidence for this was a particularly energetic interview with McGregor in which he didn’t appear entirely sober.

Ronda Rousey has revealed that her sudden MMA retirement at just 29 was due to her history of concussions. “I’d like people to understand my reasons and motivations behind things. I was forced to leave fighting when I was faster, stronger, more skilled and had a better understanding of the art than ever before. It was a really hard decision to understand, one that my body made for me. So much had to do with having so many concussions when I was in judo before I even got into MMA. I couldn’t talk about it at all when I was doing MMA because it would literally put a target on my head and I might not have been allowed to compete any farther,” Rousey said on Instagram Live.

Rousey retired after back-to-back knockout losses to Holly Holm. Prior to MMA, Rousey was an Olympic medalist in judo, taking bronze at the 2008 Games in Beijing. After leaving the UFC, Rousey turned to professional wrestling for a time. However, she also forged a film career for herself, appearing in Mile 22 after roles in The Expendables 3 and Furious 7.

Elsewhere, Rousey told TMZ that she has no immediate plans to return to wrestling, instead focusing on motherhood for the time being. There was speculation that after her contract with the WWE expired, she might move to the rival AEW promotion. However, that does not appear to be the case. “[I’m] just trying to be home with the family, and be a full-time mom,” Rousey said. The speculation arose after Rousey made an appearance on Ring of Honor, a promotion owned by AEW, in November.

Rousey has mostly stepped away from sports since giving birth to her daughter, La’akea. She’s been out of MMA since leaving the UFC in 2016. Furthermore, his time on the WWE, which began in 2018, has never been consistent. She has been used as a surprise gimmick here and there. Furthermore, Moore informed McGregor that it was below the belt to go after his appearances and mannerisms as Moore suffers from a mental health condition that causes him to pick at his skin and is also autistic, meaning there are many mannerisms he can’t control. Unfortunately, the prevailing opinion online was that this was another L for the MMA great.

Travis Scott made an appearance at the Power Slap 6 event last Friday (February 9). The event was helmed by Dana White, president of the Ultimate Fighting Championship, and consisted of contestants trading hard slaps. Obviously, this sounds like a lot. And to Scott, it was.

In a video shared to social media, Scott is seen in the audience, as two women approach a podium, ready to strike each other in the face. One woman slaps her opponent so hard that she fell to the ground, causing the audience to get up out of their seats and stand in shock.

Scott was visibly shaken up by the slap, so much so that he removed his sunglasses, as he couldn’t believe what he had seen. He also looks around through the crowd, wondering if they had seen what he’d just seen.

Following the event, Scott appeared on a livestream with White, who had nothing but high praises for the “Fein” artist.
