Tyrese Gibson Is Accusing His Ex-Wife Of Fraud

Tyrese Gibson has accused his ex-wife of fraud. He claims that Norma Mitchell Gibson, his ex-wife, didn’t have their child’s best interests at heart. Tyrese also claims his ex-wife disregarded court orders on several occasions. He alleges that the handling of money for their child was dishonest, resulting in money being owed to him. On Tuesday, April 30, the singer-actor shared court filings and talked about his legal dispute with his spouse on social media.

On Instagram, Tyrese boldly shared his side of the story, expressing his struggles and his need for justice in the ongoing dispute. Tyrese Gibson said his ex-wife owes almost $25,000 for not covering half of his daughter’s tuition. He seeks to charge his ex-wife with fraud and disobeying court-mandated directions. The actor claimed that his ex-wife had “engaged in transactions using other people’s information and accounts.” He discovered this alleged fraud after recognizing her handwriting in the signature of a tuition check that was allegedly signed by himself.

In addition, Tyrese Gibson reported to the police his ex-wife wrongfully paid $2,134 toward his daughter’s tuition. He believed that his ex-wife went around his back to make the payment that he did not authorize. He alleges she had gotten in touch with the school to approve the payment. The school also declined to pay him back for it after he asked to be compensated. He Wrote on Instagram, “Sadly, when f### s### is done to MEN it doesn’t matter.” He continued, “I got nothing to lose but my peace and sanity… I got it…. was born a man so none of thin these court documents will ever matter….” Overall, the situation is a bad one for Tyrese. Hopefully, he and his ex-wife can work this out for the sake of their child.

Teddy Pendergrass’ Widow Sued By Tyrese Over Biopic Rights

Tyrese is suing the widow of singer Teddy Pendergrass for the rights to his life story. Tyrese, through his production company Voltron Entertainment, claims to have been working on a Pendergrass biopic since 2013 with the permission of Pendergrass’ widow, Joan. However, Tyrese has now alleged that Joan has refused to extend the option to the story’s rights. “Sadly things had to come to this….Another Philadelphia legend Lee Daniels is attached direct me as Teddy. This has been 13 years+ years in the makin this man embraced me when he was on this earth and shared to me “No one can play me in my biopic but you Tyrese I’m sure of it”…. -TP,” Tyrese said in a rambling Instagram post. While the post did not mention a lawsuit, the legal avenue was confirmed to TMZ.

Pendergrass, an R&B icon, passed away in 2010. That’s around the same time that Tyrese claims to have begun work on the biopic. The primary reason for the lawsuit appears to be to prevent “undue financial harm” to Voltron Entertainment. According to Tyrese and other sources, the company has spent around $450,000 on the production of the film over the last decade. However, there is very little information about just where in production the film is beyond the fact that Tyrese intends to play Teddy. As mentioned, director Lee Daniels (The Butler, Empire, The United States vs. Billie Holiday) is reportedly set to direct.

However, suing Joan Pendergrass is not the only legal matter Tyrese finds himself in. The actor and musician is currently embroiled in a legal battle against Home Depot over alleged racial discrimination. Tyrese alleges that a cashier at one of the hardware store’s locations racially profiled two of his associates. He claims that the cashier refused to let them make a purchase using his credit card.

However, Home Depot refuted the claim. The chain states that Gibson had brought several items to a register and then left them unattended to continue shopping. The cashier in question cleared his transaction to continue serving other customers, according to legal documents obtained by TMZ. In response to this, he took to Instagram to call out Home Depot’s Trump-supporting founder, Bernard Marcus.

Tyrese Fights Judge’s Custody Settlement Ruling

Yesterday, we reported that actor Tyrese Gibson has been ordered to pay $650,000 in child support and legal fees. This settlement is in regard to his ongoing custody case with his ex-wife, Samantha Lee Gibson. The decision was made by a judge in Fulton County court yesterday. While the overall sum is massive, most of it won’t even go to his ex-wife. The majority of the money will go to Samantha’s attorney, who accounts for $399,000 of the total. Tyrese has to pay $237,944 for child support to his ex-wife.

The ruling comes less than a year after Tyrese complained about being asked to pay $10,000 per month to his ex. Last fall, he argued in court that the amount was excessive. According to the actor, Samantha earns a good income herself. Therefore, she shouldn’t need nearly so much from him. He also accused the judge of being biased against him due to his race. However, it’s unclear if there is any truth to this claim. Now, Tyrese has made it clear that he has no intention of just rolling over and accepting the ruling.

Tyrese Can Afford It, But He’s Not Going Down So Easily

Some may think Tyrese’s reluctance to pay the huge sum stems from a lack of funds. However, according to the actor, that isn’t the case. Tyrese claims that he has the means to pay the $636,000 child support and legal fees. However, he believes that the judge’s ruling was unfair and intends to challenge it in court. He did not say whether or not this was due to his belief that the judge was being racist. However, he made it clear that he was fighting for dads everywhere.

The Fast and Furious actor stated his intentions at LAX airport. TMZ caught up with him while he was in transit. The impromptu interview took place just one day after the judge ordered him to pay $237,000 to Samantha Lee Gibson for child support and $399,000 to her attorneys. Although Tyrese is committed to supporting his children, he is determined to fight against the ruling and plans to appeal it. What do you think of Tyrese’s decision to fight the ruling? Sound off in the comments!

Tyrese’s Prayer Protest At Divorce Hearing Shut Down

tyrese

This weekend, singer/Actor Tyrese Gibson called on fathers across the country to show up outside the courthouse in Atlanta for a protest prayer ahead of his divorce hearing. Unfortunately, Tyrese posted that his prayer protest was shut down and media was not allowed in the courtroom. He also revealed his ex wants nearly $280,000 lawyers despite their prenup stating she’d have to pay her own legal fees.

Tyrese took to Instagram to express his frustrations. He wrote:

They also told my representative to strongly suggest that I walk into the courtroom through a private side door…. Praying for peace and a blessed outcome…. Just knowing that myself and my lawyer Tanya Mitchell Graham are going to put back in front of this sitting judge who we tried to get thrown off of the bench, because of his abuse of power is conduct the fact that he got our court case.. the entire divorce case was illegally sealed because he wanted to cover his tracks and not have anyone to see how we conducted himself during our trial…. His name judge, Kevin M Farmer…. There’s a reminder then when you know your rights and you know the law, and you know that we are all allowed as American citizens to have are just due process in the court room, rather a judge like you, or not rather a judge has a personal problem with you or not none of those things are welcome from sitting judge. We are all legally allowed to have our day in court, and our just due process…. I’m going to ask any media news outlet please request that our trial is Unsealed when you do wrong when you abuse your power when you’re literally doing things as a sitting judge that are against the law in Fulton County that’s not OK and if they were willing to do it to me and my attorney, it’s very clear that a real indication of what you see today will likely be connected to an indication of how someone is always been. You just gotta dig and dig and dig and pull the transcripts of how this man has been conducting himself as a sitting judge in Fulton county to all fathers. I’m walking in now can we go….. 🙏
