Travis Scott Will Gift A Lucky Fans With Cacti Merch Through A New Partnership With Uber Eats

Last winter, Travis Scott announced a new line of spiked seltzer drinks called Cacti. The beverages, which come in lime, pineapple, and strawberry flavors, hit stores this spring. So far, they’ve been a hit, and now he’s looking to bring more exposure to it through a new partnership with Uber Eats.

According to Complex, Scott teamed up with the food delivery service to give lucky fans a shot at winning exclusive Cacti merchandise. Between July 21-25, consumers can score a chance at getting the merch — namely, an army green t-shirt that sports the Cacti logo, as well as a handwritten note from Scott himself — by purchasing the seltzer on the Uber Eats app. Consumers will then be able to enter a contest to win the shirt.

Unfortunately, this deal is not available to everyone. Only residents of Chicago, Washington D.C., Miami, Orlando, and Tampa are eligible for the giveaway.

The partnership comes after Travis launched his cannabis line, Cactus Farms, together with marijuana cultivator Connected Cannabis. According to NME, the “Indica-leaning strain” features a “dense, purple bud that releases a pungent, funky-sweet gas aroma rounded out by a unique berry twist.”

This also comes after Scott hid tickets for his upcoming festival Astroworld in variety packs of his cacti seltzer. A total of 200 tickets were made available via the giveaway.

Travis Scott’s New Cannabis Line, ‘Cactus Farms,’ Marks His First Step Into The Marijuana Industry

While it’s been scarce on the music side of things for Travis Scott lately, the rapper has proven himself to be the king of brand partnerships over the past twelve months. He’s teamed up with the likes of McDonald’s, PlayStation, Fortnite, and more to deliver merchandise and content that his fans rushed to get their hands on. Scott looks to continue that streak as he joined forces with marijuana cultivator Connected Cannabis to launch his very own cannabis line, Cactus Farms. The strains are already available in some dispensaries in a few states across the country.

For those who are interested in trying out the Cactus Farms line, they’ll have to stop by dispensaries that stock Connected Cannabis products in California or Harvest dispensaries in Arizona. According to Connected Cannabis, the first strain from Travis’ Cactus Farms line is a hybrid that was hand-picked by the rapper himself. It’s labeled as an “Indica-leaning strain” that features a “dense, purple bud that releases a pungent, funky-sweet gas aroma rounded out by a unique berry twist,” according to NME.

The news comes after a report revealed Travis and Meek Mill had to separate from each other following a verbal altercation at a Fourth Of July event earlier this month. The cause of the fight is still unknown at the moment, but thankfully, the two rappers walked away from each other before things turned physical.

Meek Mill And Travis Scott Reportedly Needed To Be Separated After An Altercation On Fourth Of July

So, two things became readily apparent over the holiday weekend: One, Michael Rubin’s party in the Hamptons was the place to be for the Fourth Of July, and two, Meek Mill really can’t stop getting into altercations with his fellow entertainers. Since patching things up with Drake in 2018 (incidentally, the last time Meek put out a full-length album), he’s had run-ins with his ex Nicki Minaj and her husband in LA, Tekashi 69 in a parking garage in Miami, and even strangers on Clubhouse.

At Rubin’s party on Sunday, he reportedly added another name to the list, and this one was even more bewildering than usual. According to Complex via Page Six, the Philadelphia rapper needed to be separated during a heated argument with Travis Scott in which the two rappers yelled at each other until they were led away from each other before it could get physical. Sources say Meek was still yelling, even after Travis left. There’s no information on what the fight was about, only that there may very well be video because heaven forbid two grown men air out their grievances without a bunch of bystanders filming it — something Meek himself has alluded to obliquely with his comments about blogs only covering his “goofy sh*t.” He could also consider doing slightly less of it though.

Before the fight effectively ended the party, though, it seemed everyone was in high spirits, as the other video to emerge caught Lil Uzi Vert showing off his breakdancing skills.

Travis Scott Has Hidden Astroworld Tickets In Variety Packs Of His Cacti Seltzer

Travis Scott might not want to be considered a “brand” or to “market” himself but at this point, it seems like every move he makes is selling something. His 2021 Astroworld Festival reportedly sold out in under an hour, and his Cacti spiked seltzer has become an instant best-seller at retailers all across the country.

So it should come as no surprise that the one-man brand is practicing a bit of corporate synergy to (ahem) spike sales of his spiked seltzer by taking a page out of Willy Wonka’s playbook. Starting today, fans will be able to secure entry to Astroworld Festival by finding one of 100 cans of Cacti that will unlock two tickets — a la Wonka’s golden tickets granting entry to the fabled chocolate factory. The cans are hidden inside 9-count variety packs of Cacti; they’re strawberry, decorated in custom Astroworld decorations, and signed by Travis himself.

Finding a can will allow fans to claim the tickets online, and Travis is also holding sweepstakes for some fans to win tickets digitally.

Intriguingly, the Astroworld Festival still has yet to announce a lineup for the event in November. That probably won’t stop Travis’ enthusiastic fans from pursuing those golden ticket cans; 2020 saw Travis’ prior partnership with McDonald’s become so successful it lifted the fast-food giant out of a historic sales slump.

J. Cole, Travis Scott, And 50 Cent Sign On As Headliners For Rolling Loud’s New York Festival

After being shut for more than a year, some of the biggest musical festivals are preparing for a strong return this year. But few will be able to match the energy Rolling Loud, as the platform just announced its third festival for the year. The Miami-born showcase will come to New York in the fall for a bout headlined by J. Cole, Travis Scott, and 50 Cent.

Out of the three acts, Cole is the only one who’s recently dropped a project, having released The Off-Season last month. Scott could have new music on the way, with his upcoming album, rumored to be titled Utopia, in the works. 50 Cent getting the headliner spot gives the New York rap legend an opportunity to put on a great show for his hometown.

Rolling Loud’s New York festival, which takes place during the weekend of October 28-30, will also feature a special guest performance from the state’s own Bobby Shmurda, who was released from prison earlier this year after spending almost seven years behind bars. Lil Uzi Vert, Gunna, Lil Baby, Roddy Ricch, Lil Durk, Jack Harlow, Rick Ross, Gucci Mane, Polo G, Moneybagg Yo, Joey Badass, Playboi Carti, Wale, Young Dolph, Griselda Records, and many more will also hit its New York stage.

Prior to the show, J. Cole is set to headline Rolling Loud’s Los Angeles festival while Travis Scott signed on as a headliner for its Miami festival.
