Republicans have long had trouble courting the youth vote, but lately they’ve decided to torch their chances for good. Today’s rightwing have declared Taylor Swift, arguably the most popular pop star on the planet right now, Enemy Number One. They hate that she’s a Biden supporter, and they especially hate that her boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, is Super Bowl-bound. Some have even hatched tinfoil hat conspiracy theories about her. But at least Taylor and Travis have one supporter who really matters: Daivd Letterman.
“We live in a world now where all we hear is nonsense and ugliness,” the former late night king said in a post on Instagram, per Variety. “Now here’s Taylor Swift, who is a glowing bright light of goodness in the world and she starts dating Kelsey Grammer.”
Producer Barbara Gaines quickly corrected him, though Letterman stood his ground and kept saying the name of the Trump-voting Frasier star.
Letterman then described how these two very different worlds — the world of football and the world of pop star — have felt like strange bedfellows, sometimes even attack each other, wishing Swift and Kelce weren’t an item. Well, Letterman’s had enough of all that.
“This is such a lovely thing. Shut up!” he charged. “It’s good for the footballers. It’s good for Taylor Swift. And it’s something positive and happy for the world, in a world that generally, typically just sucks gas.”
Letterman concluded, “God bless, Taylor Swift and Kelsey Grammer.”
Hear, hear. And you know what, God bless Kelsey Grammer, too, no matter who he votes for, because Frasier Crane is god, even on his so-so revival.

On Monday Fox News host Martha MacCallum brought on Outkick host Charly Arnolt, who last year got in a tizzy over Disney casting a non-white actress to play Snow White — you know, despite her name. This time Arnolt was, as many on the right weirdly are right now, up in arms over Time’s 2023 Person of the Year, especially since her boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, is going to the Super Bowl.
Noting grimly that Swift endorsed Biden in 2020, Arnolt said she’s so worried about her boyfriend going to the Super Bowl that she was rooting for the Baltimore Ravens to beat the Chiefs, “just because we have had enough of Taylor Swift for now.”
Alas, the Ravens lost and Swift’s boyfriend is going to the Super Bowl. But all is not lost. Arnolt noted that there’s an online poll “begging people to become 9ers fans for the next two weeks, just so it doesn’t raise Travis Kelcie aka Mr. Phizer’s star power along with, of course, Taylor Swift.”
Nevermind that it’s probably not possible for Swift to become any more famous than she is already. But that’s what so freezes Arnolt’s blood.
“It is so scary! There’s a recent poll: 1/5th of Taylor Swift fans said they would back whatever candidate she endorsed,” Arnolt warned viewers. She allowed that a good chunk of her fanbase are “15-year-old girls who can’t vote anyways” and that “a lot of the others are liberal women who would support the DNC no matter what.
“But,” Arnolt prophesized, “there’s a lot of other people who need to be careful, because she doesn’t do what she says. For example, the other day, yesterday, she flew private from New York City to Baltimore. Yet she constantly talks about climate change.”
Arnolt asked anyone watching her to “please don’t believe everything Taylor Swift says. We’re all begging you.”
And so continues the right’s bizarre war on someone whose fanbase is not only gargantuan but militant against anyone who dares besmirch her, be they Golden Globes hosts or, possibly, Fox News regulars. Besides, what better way to lock down the youth vote than to the most popular celebrity under 35.
Taylor Swift was a huge focal point of NFL coverage yesterday. Overall, this is something that has been true of the entire NFL season. After all, she is dating Travis Kelce who is one of the greatest tight ends of all time. Although he had a hard time in the middle of the season, he is back to his Hall of Fame ways. He has been dominant in the playoffs so far. On Sunday, he played the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC Championship game, and he ended up leading the team to a win. He caught for over 100 yards, and he even had a touchdown. It was a fantastic game that showcased how he is one of the best ever.
Subsequently, Taylor Swift came all the way down to the field to celebrate with her man. She looked extremely proud throughout the festivities. Furthermore, she even blushed as Travis yelled on stage while accepting the AFC Championship trophy. Now, Taylor will get to see her man play against the San Francisco 49ers in the Super Bowl. It is going to be a massive matchup, and while average NFL fans are upset about this rematch from 2020, there are others who are more than excited about the upcoming title game.
YG, a fan of the Los Angeles Rams, had a different kind of commentary on Kelce’s big win. In the post up above, you can see that he wrote “Taylor Swift finna f*ck the sh*t outta Kelce tonight.” Out of all of the things YG could have said, he chose this. Overall, some found it to be humorous. Although, some aren’t so amused when you consider the AI images Swift was victim to this past week.
No matter what, Taylor Swift is probably very proud of her boyfriend. He is a two-time Super Bowl champ and he could be on his way to a third. Furthermore, there is all sorts of speculation over whether or not he would propose to Swift after a Super Bowl win. After all, that would be the perfect way to cap off the season, at least in the eyes of the NFL.
The Kansas City Chiefs return to the Super Bowl after winning 17-10 over the Baltimore Ravens.
The trip to Las Vegas is special for the Chiefs as they attempt to become the first team to repeat as Super Bowl champs since the 2004 New England Patriots.
In the game, superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes went 30-for-39 for 241 yards and a touchdown, including a game-clinching dart to Marquez Valdez-Scantling with two minutes left in the fourth quarter.
“You never know how many you’re going to get to or if you’re going to get to any,” Mahomes said. “So it truly is special just to do it with these guys after what we’ve been through all season long. Guys coming together, it really is special. But I told them, ‘The job’s not done.’ Our job now is to prepare ourselves to play a good football team in the Super Bowl and try to get that ring.”
During the game, Mahomes’ top target, Travis Kelce, had 11 catches for 116 yards and a touchdown. He also broke Jerry Rice’s record of 151 career receptions.
Things are already popping off at the AFC Championship Game. During pre-game warmups, Travis Kelce was seen kicking and throwing equipment belonging to veteran Ravens placekicker Justin Tucker. The artist, known as Dlordink on social media, showcased an intricate mural of Taylor Swift wearing a Ravens jersey ahead of the team’s matchup against the Chiefs this weekend. Furthermore, Dlordink called out Swift and her boyfriend, Travis Kelce. “Tag @taylorswift & @killatrav in the comments and let them know how good she looks in @new_era8 @ravens purple,” he added as a caption.

At first, Swift proved to be a good luck charm, however, as Kelce began slipping, so did Swift’s goodwill.
Heading into the playoffs, many fans felt like Kelce was going to continue his downward trajectory. However, the opposite has happened. Against the Miami Dolphins, Kelce showed flashes of brilliance. Furthermore, last night against the Buffalo Bills, he had his best game in a while. He made five catches for 75 yards and he ended up finishing the game with two touchdowns. In fact, after his first touchdown, he made sure to acknowledge his girlfriend who was in the press box with his family.

Swift was up there with the likes of Brittany Mahomes and Jason Kelce, who got pretty rowdy during the game. Overall, it was an amazing match with the Chiefs taking it by a score of 27-24. In fact, if it weren’t for a missed field goal at the end, this game could have very well gone to overtime. Instead, the Chiefs are off to the AFC Championship game, where they will take on the league-best Baltimore Ravens.
