Boi-1da Reacts After His Latest Tweet Sparks Rampant Drake Speculation

Drake is someone who fans have been wanting to hear from as of late. Overall, this is due to the fact that he just participated in a brutal fight with Kendrick Lamar. In the eyes of most, he came out of this as the loser. Furthermore, the Canadian megastar was hit with two reference tracks on Tuesday. The first of which was Vory on the song “Mob Ties” while the other one was PartyNextDoor on “Ratchet Happy Birthday.” It was a bad look for Drizzy, even if fans already knew he had ghostwriters.

Despite all of this, there are fans out there who just want him to release new music. They know that good music is what ultimately heals all wounds. Well, Boi-1da took to Twitter on Tuesday and had some folks in a frenzy. He simply tweeted “tap, tap tap tap,” which subsequently led to speculation that Drake was going to drop soon. DJ Akademiks posted the tweet to his Instagram page and insinuated that this could mean something. As you can imagine, this got fans riled up.

Boi-1da was paying attention to the social media frenzy, and he decided to react swiftly. In the comments section, he wrote “Guys LOL cmon man” with a laughing emoji. Needless to say, he never meant for his comments to be construed in this way. However, that doesn’t necessarily mean no new music is on the horizon. Fans are just going to have to hold on and be patient.

A release date hasn’t been announced either, though she told Good Morning America in January that it’ll arrive “on time for the summer.”

She’s also scheduled to embark on her “Hot Girl Summer” tour alongside GloRilla next week, kicking things off with a performance in Minneapolis. The duo is expected to make stops in more than 30 cities across North America and Europe. They’ll wrap up the North American leg at the end of June, moving onto international dates until mid-July. At the time, she revealed that the project would be dropping before summer hits and that she’ll be traveling on a Hot Girl Summer 2024 tour to promote the new music. “We’re having the tour this year,” she said at the time. “The Hot Girl Summer tour is gonna be 2024 summer time. I feel like I’ve never been able to be outside doing my own thing during the summer, since like 2019, so this is gonna be the first time I drop an album on time for the summer. I do want to give the hotties the Megan Thee Stallion experience.”

This week, several mysterious videos popped up on Snoop Dogg’s Instagram page, seemingly hinting that there’s something on the way. The videos feature Swizz Beatz, Flavor Flav, and even NLE Choppa. In them, they inquire about whatever happened to the pair, made up of Kurupt and Daz Dillinger.

“Dog, I gotta question: what happened to Tha Dogg Pound? I heard they broke up, is that true? That’s what I heard,” Swizz says in his video. Flavor Flav and Choppa’s questions were almost identical, and have led to plenty of speculation among fans. “Sounds like a new single is coming out produced by Swizz,” one user suspects. Another simply writes, “Something’s brewing.”

She posted a teaser for the song on Instagram, Tuesday, while confirming that an official release is coming at some point this month. In response, her fans shared plenty of support.
