Bosox outfielder Jarren Duran is in some really hot water after yelling an anti-gay slur at a heckling fan at yesterday’s game at Fenway Park against the Houston Astros.

In the bottom of the sixth inning with runners on the corners and the Sox being shutout by the Astros, Duran was being heckled by a fan after fanning a strike from ‘Stros pitcher Hunter Brown. Duran turned his head to behind the plate to someone who could be heard screaming from the crowd. Duran, who was already 0-2 for the game, fired back after a few seconds, calling the heckler a “f*****g f****t”, which was picked up by a live mic on the field.

Duran issued a statement following the game apologizing to the Red Sox organization as well as the LGBTQ community.

Also, Duran’s salary from the suspension will be donated to PFLAG (Federation of Parents and Friends of Lesbians and Gays), the largest organization in the country dedicated to supporting, educating, and advocating for the LGBTQ community.

Queenzflip Reveals Why He’s Been Off “The Joe Budden Podcast”

Queenzflip appeared on the latest episode of The Joe Budden Podcast to discuss why he’s been off the show for the month of June. He and Budden explained that they got into a heated argument earlier in the month and decided it best if he spent some time away.

“We had a big argument, I mean 90 minutes of it. But he was the aggressor in this one. I ain’t gonna lie. People can agree. He was saying some crazy things to me,” Queenzflip began, before Budden interjected to apologize. Flip added that he recorded the entire argument and listened back to it that night. The following morning, he received a phone call. “I get a call from Ian. I said, ‘Ian, what’s up.’ ‘I heard what happened yesterday. You care to tell me what’s going on?’ ‘No I don’t. You heard from him. I got the audio. Go listen to the audio. Your man is wild’n. He’s disrespecting me. He’s challenging me.’ This is what I’m telling Ian. He said, ‘Alright buddy. We want you to sit down for a little bit.’”

He continued: “Now, I’m calling Joe’s phone crazy, calling him mad times. ‘Yo, you’re wild’n. I gotta talk to you, you’re bugging.’ Then I told the n***a in the texts, ‘I’m pulling up.’” From there, he explained that he went to Budden’s property but he wasn’t there. Eventually, they made amends and all was good, but Budden recommended Flip take the month off. Fans quickly began asking why he wasn’t present on the show and rumors began to spread.

Producer On 50 Cent’s “BMF” Suspended For Allegedly Threatening Picketers

A co-producer on 50 Cent’s series BMF has been suspended by Lionsgate. The suspension follows allegations that the producer, Ian Woolf, threatened to hit striking writers with his SUV. According to reports, Woolf made the threat on June 8, allegedly using intimidation to “scare” picketers in Atlanta. Earlier this month, 50 Cent also shared that he himself doesn’t agree with the WGA strike. He claimed that he doesn’t “see it as a positive thing for the writers.”

One of the writers that was allegedly threatened by Woolf, Brian Egeston, spoke out about the incident on Twitter. “Dear Mr. Ian Woolf, Welcome to Atlanta,” Egeston begins the message, “What you did today on Hank Aaron Drive and blocks from the birthplace of Martin Luther King, Jr….was hateful.” He continued, “When you pointed your SUV at me as though it were a weapon and slammed the breaks within six feet of writers, I felt the hate and aggression of scenarios similar to Ahmaud Arbery, George Floyd and others who have been harmed at the hands of hate-filled oppressors.”

Egeston continued the message, “As I marched with the WGA in a peaceful protest, similar to the giants who have walked the very streets where you almost committed manslaughter, you chose to—in your own words— ‘Tried to scare you.’” The writer also explains, “Mr. Woolf, this scare and intimidation tactic reeks of German Shepards, water hoses, bricks and burning flesh. It reeks of the worst kind of hate … I would implore you, in hindsight, to consider the ramifications of killing an African-American man in the streets of the city too busy to hate, while being the producer of an African-American TV show, created by an African American man, run by an African-American Man.”

Egeston’s account of the incident has also been corroborated by two other writers, Gabriel Alejandro Garza and Tom Smuts. 50 Cent has not yet publicly commented on the allegations. Lionsgate has also shared a statement pertaining to the recent suspension. “We take acts of intimidation and threats of violence seriously and investigate them thoroughly,” it reads. “As we continue to investigate, we have sent home the individual involved.”

SOURCE SPORTS: Ja Morant Suspended From All Grizzlies Activities Amid New Gun Video

Screen Shot 2023 05 15 at 8.50.33 AM

Merely two months after his suspension from the Grizzlies for flashing a gun on Instagram Live, Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant has been suspended from all Grizzlies activities indefinitely after he was seen flashing a gun again on Instagram Live.

The video was noticed on Morant’s friend, Davonte Pack’s IG feed.

Memphis suspended Morant while an investigation is taking place, but NBA spokesperson Mike Bass said, “We are aware of the social media post involving Ja Morant and are in the process of gathering more information.”

Back in March, Morant was suspended eight games due to conduct detrimental to the team after brandishing a gun in a Colorado nightclub. Morant didn’t make All-NBA, which resulted in nixing more than $39 million in potential earnings. The eight-game suspension in March factored into Morant’s All-NBA chances.

Past decisions have also impacted Morant off the floor. He has become one of the biggest faces of the NBA through endorsement deals with Nike, Powerade, Hulu and many more notable brands. The arrival of Morant’s first Nike signature was delayed in April.

Ja Morant Suspended After Second Gun-Flashing Incident

About two months ago, the Memphis Grizzlies suspended Ja Morant after he flashed a gun on social media. The incident caused a lot of discussion in the NBA world, prompting an apology from the star guard and much debate on his actions. However, it seems that this rabbit hole is open once again after he flashed a gun for the second time on Instagram Live. As soon as news broke on this development, many wondered whether we’d see the same situation play out. Now we have confirmation that the Memphis Grizzlies have indeed suspended the South Carolina native.

“We are aware of the social media video involving Ja Morant,” the basketball team expressed in a statement issued Sunday (May 14). “He is suspended from all team activities pending League review. We have no further comment at this time.” Unfortunately, this follows a streak of bad luck for the 23-year-old. Recently, reports indicated that not being on an All-NBA team cost him a $39 million bonus. Many debated whether it’s fair to dangle money in a player’s face like that, especially after he played a great season.

Ja Morant Suspended After Another Gun-Toting Clip

Of course, the Memphis Grizzlies’ post-season efforts saw an early end thanks to the Los Angeles Lakers. What’s more is that Ja Morant was out on injury for the playoff series’ second game. As much as he tried his best, the team’s run ended with a 4-2 loss in what was a volatile, exciting, and tense set of games. Given Morant’s talent and determination on the court, news of his extracurriculars and suspension is frankly a devastating loss. Since this is by no means a new occurrence, perhaps the conditions around his return to the Tennessee organization will be much more strict this time around.

Regardless, only time will tell what becomes of his future in not just the team, but the NBA asa whole. Considering his other legal issues, it isn’t looking pretty for him from any angle. Hopefully all parties involved keep learning from this situation, especially when it comes to others’ safety. On that note, for the latest news and updates on Ja Morant, keep checking in with HNHH.

Ja Morant Suspended For Two Games Following NBA Investigation

The Memphis Grizzlies issued a statement that informed fans that they suspended Ja Morant for at least the next two games following the news of an investigation by the NBA into the star player. Moreover, said action from the league stems from an Instagram Live clip of Morant brandishing what appears to be a gun. While the video does not indicate whether the firearm is real or not, he still faces consequences depending on what the investigation concludes. Furthermore, NBA spokesperson Mike Bass broke the announcement via a report from ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

“We are aware of a social media post involving Ja Morant and are investigating,” Bass reportedly stated. Not only that, but this comes soon after Morant faced accusations of threatening a 17-year-old with a gun. As reported, the Grizzlies guard hosted a pick-up game at his Tennessee home where he got into an altercation. However, after a police investigation, authorities ultimately dismissed moving forward with prosecution. While this was due to a lack of evidence, it’s a link in a chain of reckless acts that Morant is allegedly complicit in.

Ja Morant Suspended After Investigation

For example, a member of his entourage faced accusations of pointing a red dot at a group of Pacers fans. Still, the 23-year-old denied those claims via a Twitter message. “Did a investigation seen they were cappin,” he penned on the social media platform. “Still let a article come out to paint this negative image on me & my fam. & banned my brother from home games for a year. Unbelievable.” Not only that, but Bass also confirmed that an investigation into that post-game incident concluded that they involved no weapons in the incident.

Overall, this could greatly impact Morant’s role on the team, and their morale and structure moving forward. The next two games might be a definitive moment for his career or even for the Grizzlies’ season. With all this happening around him, it’s no surprise that he deactivated his Twitter and Instagram accounts after news of the investigation and suspension. Hopefully, whether it’s his own recklessness or that of his peers, he can work towards staying out of trouble. As the NBA world reacts and opinions differ on his situation, Grizzlies fans are concerned first and foremost for his well-being. Regardless of your take, stick around on HNHH for more updates on this story and the latest news from Ja Morant.
