Brock Purdy Responds To Viral Lee Harvey Oswald Meme

Brock Purdy has addressed the meme circulating on social media that he looks like JFK assassin Lee Harvey Oswald. When he asked about the comparison, Purdy was not thrilled by it, dismissing it politely during a media session ahead of the Super Bowl before moving on. The meme had gone viral throughout the week after someone announced that they had “finally figured out” who Brock Purdy reminded them of. While there is some similarity, it’s fairly fleeting. Furthermore, it’s not as apparent as, say, Ted Cruz’s resemblance to the Zodiac Killer.

However, given the expanded media access that comes with the Super Bowl every year, weird questions are now par for the course. Last year, Eagles coach Nick Sirianni which players he wouldn’t let his daughter date. Sirianni’s answer was that his daughter was four years old. While weird questions are now seen as part of the run-up, it never fails to annoy people. To many fans, and journalists, it points to too lax of a credentialing policy and people trying too hard to go viral as the “weird question asker”.

Cam Newton Defends His Brock Purdy Take

Meanwhile, Cam Newton recently defended his argument that Purdy is far from the best player on the Niners. “I never said that Brock Purdy was trash, I said he was a game manager. That isn’t hate, that’s just facts. But to earn the game-changer label, you need to be the best player on the offensive side of the ball. And Purdy isn’t that. He is maybe the tenth-best player on that Niners team,” Newton argued. As for his best offensive player for the Niners? It was “obviously” Christian McCaffery.

However, fans were split on whether they agreed with Newton. “Why are we acting like Cam is wrong? Purdy does his job at a high-level & makes a ton of great plays. He’s in a system that allows him to do that. He’s a solid game manager who has been able to keep this team moving,” one fan argued. “The @49ers would not be in the situation they are now since he started without Brock Purdy and people just don’t want to give him the due because of where he was drafted,” another countered. Usher is just a few days away from performing the Super Bowl Halftime Show at Las Vegas’ Allegiant Stadium. Given he has had several hits throughout the years, and a ton of collaborators, it has raised the question if he’ll be bringing any surprise guests — or just tackling the show solo.

Will Ludacris And Lil Jon Perform With Usher At The Super Bowl Halftime Show?

Earlier this morning, a teaser for Usher’s performance dropped, and it takes an interesting premise. Ludacris, Lil Jon, and Taraji P. Henson are working on finding Usher, as apparently, he is missing. Considering he is set to have his new album, Coming Home, drop on Friday, maybe that is when they’ll be able to find him.

Yet, it also possibly teases Usher performing “Yeah” at the Super Bowl, with hopefully his original collaborators (Ludacris and Lil Jon) joining him on stage. Considering they appeared in the Apple Music video, and Apple sponsors the Halftime Show, the three playing the hit together feels like a safe bet.

As for some other potential collaborators that could join Usher, anyone from his new album could be fair game, including maybe even Jung Kook from BTS.

Other key options include “My Boo” with Alicia Keys, “Best Thing” with Jay-Z, and “Somebody To Love” with Justin Bieber — although the last one is a reach, as it’s Bieber’s track. Never say never.

Although he has a big game to win, there are others who will be focused on his interactions with the superstar pop artist. For instance, people want to know how he is going to celebrate with his new girlfriend. There are all sorts of theories going around, and as you can imagine, you can even go bet on these.

Yesterday, Travis Kelce was present in Las Vegas for the coveted media day. This is when all of the media gathers around from all around the world and asks the players questions. Kelce is always a popular guy during the media day festivities, but especially so this year. Overall, he fielded quite a few questions about Taylor Swift. However, one question definitely took him a bit by surprise. The person asked if there would be another kind of ring to pair with the Super Bowl ring.

Well, it seems like Swifties will have to wait to actually find out if that will be the case. “I’m focused on getting this ring and that’s all my mind’s focused on,” he said matter-of-factly. This is a non-answer and doesn’t confirm or deny anything. Instead, it is one of those answers that will lead to even more speculation. Whatever the case, Kelce seems dialed in for Sunday, and fans can expect a great game.

Post Malone Parties With A Genie And A T-Rex In An Over-The-Top Super Bowl Ad For Bud Light

There is perhaps no artist better suited for a Bud Light endorsement than Post Malone, who has been sponsored on a tour by the beer brand, appeared on special edition cans, and hosted a New Year’s Eve livestream produced by it (with Jack Harlow in tow, naturally).

So, a Post Malone-starring Bud Light Super Bowl commercial is not only a no-brainer, it might just be the highest form of art available to modern audiences (aside from this, of course).

The plot — such as it is — revolves around a “Bud Light Genie” who pops out of an ice cold bottle and immediately begins granting all sorts of over-the-top wishes, from invisibility and “Peyton Manning as a best friend” to a house party with Posty himself. And a T-rex. That was Posty’s wish.

Interestingly enough, Post Malone will also be included in the sporting festivities on Super Bowl Sunday. He’s billed to sing “America The Beautiful” — which I sort of can’t wait to hear. Let Post do the National Anthem next year, cowards. He was also recently tapped by the one and only Taylor Swift to appear on her surprise album, The Tortured Poets Department, along with Florence + The Machine (am I going to actually listen to a Taylor Swift album this year??? YIKES).

In 2023, “Good Good” singer Usher made his triumphant resurgence through his My Way Las Vegas residency. But his run in Sin City isn’t stopping there. Just before releasing his forthcoming album, Coming Home, Usher will grace the Super Bowl Halftime Show at Allegiant Stadium.

Today (February 6), Usher revealed his post-Super Bowl plans. Starting in August, Usher will hit the road for his Past Present Future Tour. Given the sheer amount of time his residency was extended due to demand, tickets for the 24-date run are sure to sell out fast. So, when will fans have the chance to secure tickets?

In the caption of Usher’s announcement post on Instagram, he revealed that tickets for his Past Present Future Tour will go on sale as early as Friday, February 9. Usher Intends To Honor Black Artists With Super Bowl Halftime Show

Usher says he’s planning to pay tribute to iconic Black artists of the past with his Super Bowl Halftime Show performance. He discussed his plans for the show with Good Morning America for an interview on Friday.

“I think about what our country has kind of represented for Black artists,” Usher said. “You know, having to at some point go through kitchens to even be able to perform for an audience, but they had to leave back through that same door, fear for their lives as they went to the next state to do the same thing. So I’m coming through the front door with this one.”

“I didn’t start where I am now, and I didn’t get there by myself,” he said. “So, everybody that has been a part of it, I’m carrying them with me. All of my fans, my loved ones, the people who may have felt like they have been forgotten, they haven’t. I’m carrying you right with me when I walk on that stage that night.” As for what else to expect from the show, he previously told Extra that fans can expect some high-profile guests to join him onstage. “I’ve also collaborated with a lot of people in the process, so… there’s a celebration there. … I just gave it all to you. Cardi B To Star In NYX Super Bowl Commercial

The final game of the NFL season is right around the corner. Next weekend, the Kansas City Chiefs will take on the San Francisco 49ers in the Super Bowl and there’s musical intrigue abound. Usher is set to take one of the biggest stages in all of music with his Super Bowl Halftime show performance. He’s also dropping a new album in advance of the performance on February 9. One of the biggest stars in all of music will likely be present as well as Taylor Swift is dating Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. Fans calculated how long it would take her to get from her Eras Tour show in Japan back to Las Vegas for the game.

But there are also going to be plenty of celebrities staring in Super Bowl Advertisements. Companies often spend millions upon millions of dollars for their short ad slots and make the most of them by getting major celebrity endorsements. One of those is Cardi B, who is doing her first beauty collaboration with NYX. They shared a teaser trailer for the ad that features Cardi B testing out the brand’s new high-pump lip gloss. The spot aims to flip the script on male stereotypes with a humorous look at the extreme plumping sensation of the gloss, which will leave audiences laughing.”

Fans have been waiting for Cardi to weigh in on the ongoing Nicki Minaj and Megan Thee Stallion beef that erupted last week. Despite fan requests, the “I Like It” rapper has yet to comment. Iconic ‘SpongeBob’ Banger ‘Sweet Victory’ Will Finally Be At The Super Bowl In 2024 Thanks To Nickelodeon

Remember the 2019 Super Bowl Halftime Show, and how everybody so badly wanted “Sweet Victory,” the iconic song from the 2001 SpongeBob SquarePants episode “Band Geeks,” to be a part of it? Travis Scott guested during the Maroon 5 set and actually sort of made it happen. It was certainly a nice nod, but those who just wanted to hear the actual song were ultimately left empty-handed.

Well, it’s finally happening (as long as you’re watching Nickelodeon): Nick is doing its own special, kid-friendly Super Bowl broadcast this year, and as part of the proceedings, “Sweet Victory” will make an appearance in the lead-up to the game. It won’t just be the classic 2001 clip, though.

A press release notes:

“Super Bowl LVIII Live From Bikini Bottom will feature: a can’t-miss opening segment from Allegiant Stadium re-creating SpongeBob’s iconic ‘Sweet Victory’ performance; hijinks throughout the game from fan-favorite villain Plankton; appearances from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles; reimagined end zone cannons that fire Slime, Krabby Patties and pickles; undersea AR jellyfish within the stadium; Slime trails and pineapples; and surprise appearances from beloved Nickelodeon characters in the crowd. The production will continue to showcase one-of-a-kind content and Nick-themed elements throughout, including guest appearances, original on-field graphics, virtual filters, and more for kids and families.”
