In case you didn’t know, the Drake OVO brand is still very strong. Although the artist may have lost a rap battle to Kendrick Lamar, there are still millions of people who care about Drizzy’s next move. As we reported this morning, the artist has even placed his bets on both the NBA Finals and the Stanley Cup Finals. Interestingly enough, this is not the only work the megastar will be doing with the NBA throughout the upcoming series between the Mavericks and the Celtics.
According to Billboard, Drake’s OVO brand has come through with a new special edition varsity jacket with ESPN. This limited edition jacket is black and gold with numerous references to ESPN, OVO, and the Finals. Interestingly enough, only 175 of these were made, which means it is going to be exceptionally difficult to cop. Moreover, thanks to the quality of these jackets, and the exclusivity, you will have to shell out $700 to get one at retail.
For those who are interested in the jacket, you will be able to cop one as of this morning at 10 AM EST through the OVO App. You’re going to need to be prepared because these are going to sell out exceptionally fast. Only time will tell whether or not we see an abundance of these courtside in both Boston and Dallas over the next couple of weeks. Overall, these Finals are going to be a whole lot of fun.

Rihanna may often be busy with family time, but she also proved on Friday (May 31) that she can make plenty of due time for her friends, as well. Moreover, she hit up Pergola in New York City for a girl’s night out, and donned some expectedly gorgeous drip for the occasion (click on the “Via” link down below to see pictures, as we can’t post them directly on HNHH). The Barbadian singer wore a black minidress with a zebra-print jacket, lots of diamond jewelry, blonde braids, and even a diamond flower clip for her hair. It’s never a surprise when she stuns with her fashion choices and sense of style, but it’s always a treat for fans who seek to up their fit game.
Furthermore, all this diamond embellishment makes a whole lot of sense right now, as Rihanna recently became the female artist with the most Diamond-certified singles in the RIAA’s history. She celebrated the occasion with a congratulatory post from Roc Nation as “Work,” “Umbrella,” “Stay,” and “Needed Me” all passed the threshold this week. It’s an amazing achievement and one that really speaks to these hits’ staying power, relevance, and resonance. RiRi’s other Diamond hits obviously include “Diamonds,” as well as “We Found Love” and “Love The Way You Lie.”
However, all these accolades do have fans pondering on a long-asked, desperate, and highly anticipated question: when will Rihanna’s next Diamond hit come out? Fans have been asking for the long-awaited ninth solo studio album for over eight years now, and while there have been a lot of teases and promises, they are still empty-handed. Regardless of the wait, more recent hints indicate that it might land sooner than we think. But at this point, it’s all just a guessing game.
Meanwhile, Rihanna is just as prone to pushing her own sense of fashion and style as she is to developing her status as an entrepreneur and businesswoman in that field. For example, she continues to seek new models for Savage x Fenty and did a lot of press as of late to push her brands forward. It’s a very exciting time with a lot of family, friends, opportunities, and events, although it’s strayed a bit away from why we fell in love with this career in the first place. But that could all turn around with R9, so let’s keep our fingers crossed.
Bianca Censori is pushing the lewd limits yet again, as she was recently photographed wearing a small and very revealing swimsuit on Saturday (June 1). You can check the pictures out by clicking the “Via” links down below, as we can’t share them directly on HNHH. Moreover, this was in Prato, Italy, and she followed her husband Kanye West into a building with a sketch notebook in her hands. Reportedly, this could be for a clothing production meeting or some other fashion-related matter, as Ye has ran his Yeezy operation from Prato in the past. Either way, it was quite the style statement to wear something like that.
But this is exactly what folks expect from Bianca Censori nowadays, and fortunately, the conversation around this is much less toxic than it was when she started to turn heads with her NSFW fashion choices. Of course, this led to a lot of spilled ink on whether or not Kanye West controls this or whether it’s something the other way around. The more likely scenario is that the Yeezy architect is just wearing what she sees fit, and that it’s really not that deep of an indicator of their relationship dynamic. Still, concern is always valid, and there’s still a lot of controversy around them.
Furthermore, at least Bianca Censori went out without Ye for some recent occasions, which some think is key to the relationship’s health. She was recently out in Australia with her parents, who reportedly have a lot of issues with how she carries herself. Since these are just gossipy reports and alleged “close source” conversations, it’s unclear whether their alleged frustration is with Censori or with Kanye West. Regardless, it’s definitely a big conversation to have.
Meanwhile, the details around her alleged sexual assault are unclear, as it looks like the investigation reached a limbo point. Kanye West and the twin brothers involved have both reportedly refused to cooperate with authorities in their case around Bianca Censori. Maybe this will just sweep under the rug in court, although folks already read about it for the headlines. We’ll see if business will continue as usual or if this is a legitimate obstacle.
Summer Walker’s recent festival performances have gotten her a lot of praise, and her latest show at the TwoGether Land Festival was no exception. Moreover, some new clips emerged from the fun performance, including some new twerking skills that are a far cry from the intimacy and subtlety of other of her concerts. That’s not a knock against the Atlanta native, though, as it was nonetheless a vibrant and impressive showing. She even brought out 4batz as a special guest, and it was heartening to see him gift her a Louis Vuitton bag onstage and, most importantly, thank her for the opportunity.
Furthermore, there were plenty of reasons as to why this TwoGether Land Festival set was a pretty satisfying and notable one. However, elsewhere in the headlines, Summer Walker discussion tends to center more around her personal life, such as her relationship with Lil Meech which he recently explained the dissolution of. “It was just, we just grew apart,” he told The OG Talk podcast. “I still got love for Summer, you know? She’s a good girl. No bad blood, no nothing.”
Of course, all this discussion is pretty moot for most fans in the face of her art, and 2024’s held some great moments for Summer Walker so far. For example, she recently appeared on Childish Gambino’s “Sweetest Thang” off of his “new” album Atavista. It’s a remixed, updated version of his 2020 album 3.15.20 containing new features, instrumentals, and structures, and it’s definitely one of the most interesting listens of 2024 so far considering that evolution. Hopefully there are more great features and solo songs on the way this year, although the quality of these festival performances certainly keeps the hunger at bay.
Meanwhile, as Summer Walker is moving onto a very talked-about new relationship, we hope that there are also great developments in her personal life. Even with all the pressures of being a famous singer, there are a lot of ways in which support and care tower above all. Maybe it’s through a new partnership, or through the solidarity with rising peers in the game. It doesn’t make the gesture of a Louis Vuitton bag any less meaningful, but it does go above and beyond any material considerations.
This year’s Met Gala saw the likes of Cardi B flaunting a massive black dress that took nine people to carry. We also witnessed Usher don a huge black cape and sequin suit and Lizzo wearing a dress that made her look like a tree. One of the official livestream hosts was Gwendoline Christie, whose haircut seemed to simulate Cruella de Vil after electrocution. The utter flamboyancy of this annual May pop fashion event has the dual effect of dazzling onlookers and overshadowing its long and complex history.
For one, this always-anticipated Manhattan affair has an impact beyond showcasing wild looks and entertaining the masses: it is a philanthropic event for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute. This institute plays a vital role in fashion history and archiving—it has preserved more than 33,000 pieces of dress and accessories from the 1400s to the present day. Ok, so the Met Gala is an entertaining fundraiser for a fashion museum, but how did all of this come about in the first place? It turns out there are a handful of behind-the-scenes actors who helped make the spectacle we see today a reality.
Irene Lewisohn & The Museum Of Costume Art
It might sound strange at first, but the Met Gala might not exist today if it wasn’t for the achievements of a Victorian-era German-Jewish immigrant to New York. When Leonard Lewisohn, president of the United Metals Selling Company in the late 19th century, died in 1902, he had amassed an estate worth nearly half a billion dollars in today’s money. His daughter Irene was just 15 years old at the time of his passing, but she would directly inherit a sizeable portion of his fortune.
This provided the means for her and her sister, Alice, to focus on producing drama and dance performances throughout their 20s and eventually found the Neighborhood Playhouse. It later became a full-fledged school of theatre that still operates today. As a result of producing plays and operating the school, Irene gained a vast knowledge of costume design, theater production, and other related topics during these years. Wanting to make this knowledge accessible to the public, she decided to establish the Museum of Costume Art with her colleague Aline Bernstein in 1937 as a home for an extensive library.
Dorothy Shaver & The Costume Institute
Then-president of Lord & Taylor—and legendary American fashion industry leader—Dorothy Shaver had begun to take notice of Lewisohn and Beinstein’s efforts after the Museum was opened. And, when Irene passed away in 1944, Shaver put into motion a plan she’d been mulling over. Shaver had the idea of making the Museum part of the larger Metropolitan Museum of Art, as she believed this move could only nourish and reinforce the American fashion industry. Using her deep connections within the world of clothing manufacturing, Shaver successfully convinced a range of garment producers to help her finance the transaction. The purchase and move were finalized in 1946, and the Museum of Costume Art officially became The Costume Institute.
Eleanor Lambert & The Met Gala
Eleanor Lambert, an aspiring sculptor turned fashion publicist, was instrumental in the birth of the Met Gala. After working as an advertiser for art galleries and artists in Manhattan during the Roaring Twenties, Lambert went on to have a hand in founding the Museum of Modern Art and also represented Jackson Pollack for a time. Lambert would begin planning the inaugural Met Gala in 1946 after the death of Irene Lewisohn and Dorothy Shaver’s facilitation of The Costume Institute’s merger with the Met.
As a prominent fashion publicist, Lambert was, of course, aware of the Insitute. But it was when the Institute’s administrators who were seeking help to fundraise for its expenses that a connection was first made. Lambert devised a “Party of the Year” event in November 1948 (not May!) as a way to solicit donations. This party would initially take the form of a midnight dinner. Interestingly, this initial version of the Met Gala didn’t happen at the Met! It would shift venues annually, moving from Rockefeller Center’s Rainbow Room to Central Park, then to the Waldorf Astoria, and so on.
For its first decade, it was only covered by one publication: Women’s Wear Daily. It initially cost $50 for a ticket (about $650 in 2024) and wasn’t an invite-only event. It would continue this way for quite some time, billed essentially as a fashion industry get-together. That is, until Diana Vreeland, Vogue’s editor-in-chief during much of the ’60s, would come to transform the event in the early ’70s.
Diana Vreeland & The Birth Of The Modern Met Gala
A notorious eccentric with extravagant tastes, Vogue fired Vreeland from her leading position in 1971. She would then enter the world of the Met as a consultant. Vreeland took the opportunity to apply her unbridled creativity to both The Costume Institute’s exhibitions and its annual fundraising event. She would go on to radically upscale the event into a flamboyant, eye-catching extravaganza. What we see when we watch videos or look at photos from the Met Gala today is largely indebted to Vreeland’s craftsmanship.
Vreeland curated many elaborate exhibitions for The Costume Institue during her time at the Met, but it was “The World of Balenciaga”—the exhibit she masterminded in 1973—that would prove to rocket Lambert’s original “Party of the Year” into the who’s-who of fundraisers. The 1973 exhibit and the party both took place at The Met and featured specially designed decorations and a very posh multi-course meal for guests. Vreeland would continue to grow and magnify the Gala over the years by calling on her influential connections. She had the likes of Jackie Kenndy Onassis, ex-Supremes frontwoman Diana Ross, and men’s fashion icon Ralph Lauren play a part in the event to help it become the world-renowned celebration we witness each year. Last week, Megan Thee Stallion finally embarked on her eagerly anticipated “Hot Girl Summer” tour alongside GloRilla. The Houston-born hottie kicked things off with an explosive performance in Minneapolis before moving on to stops in Chicago and Detroit. So far, fans have been impressed, though one rival fanbase has been especially critical of Meg since the tour began.
Of course, this fanbase is Nicki Minaj’s Barbz, who have had a serious bone to pick with the “Hiss” performer ever since their heated feud earlier this year. Things got pretty ugly, to say the least, and fans will now take any opportunity there is to trash their fave’s respective foe. Today was no exception, as Meg took to Instagram to show off one of her latest tour looks, and the Barbz pounced.
In her latest Instagram post, Meg stuns in a hot pink two-piece complete with a pair of fuzzy thigh-high boots. Hollywood Unlocked also shared a clip of the femcee’s fit. Amid the flood of compliments in their comments section are plenty of Barbz, accusing Meg of biting Nicki’s style by wearing her signature color. “Why does she have on pink?” one wonders, while another claims “This is getting scary!!!”
It’s unclear whether or not Meg intentionally rocked pink to shade Nicki, or if it was nothing but a simple coincidence. Either way, the Barbz are convinced that this was an attempt to get the “Barbie Dangerous” performer riled up. What do you think of Megan Thee Stallion’s hot pink “Hot Girl Summer” tour fit? What about Nicki Minaj fans suspecting that it was a jab? Do you think they’re on to something, or is it a reach? JT is having her moment in 2024. Actually, let’s correct that. She is having multiple moments this year. The City Girls MC took the criticism on the chin after her and Yung Miami dropped their album RAW. Sales were extremely low (just 10,000 first week), and it seemed apparent that what made the duo popular was running its course. However, JT has totally flipped that script and is coming through with arguably her best material to date. Sure, the familiar vibes are there, but mic presence and production are up across the board. Her feature game has also been on point, landing on Doechii’s house-inspired banger “Alter Ego.”
It is safe to say that she has given herself a lot of confidence. Her most single “OKAY” and its extended version saw her send a plentiful quantity of subliminal shots at her contemporaries such as Sukihana. With this blazing start, she is now poised to drop her debut project quite soon. JT announced that City Cinderellais on the way, all while flaunting her bodacious curves in some sultry neon bikini pics.
Speaking of the latter, JT felt that one swimsuit photoshoot was not enough. So, with her enjoying her time in Nassau, Bahamas, why not treat her fans to more stunning shots? Well, she did just that, rocking a skimpy, bright blue bikini while posing with no makeup at the gorgeous beaches. “Pretty privilege ! <3 ;)” she captioned the post. Fans and fellow artists were drooling in the comments section, as to be expected. Kali Uchis took notice of the all-natural look, “no makeup suits u sooo well !!!” Stunna Girl also commented twice, “Poster Girl I love you sisss ” Kehlani also hyped up JT, “giiiRLLLLUHHHH JESUS CHRIST.”
What are your thoughts on JT going for the natural look in her mini bikini photoshoot in the Bahamas? Is she breaking out in 2024? Or is she still not there just yet and if so, why? What has been your favorite release and feature from her so far this year? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. It’s no secret that there’s a lot going on in the world of Ice Spice at the moment. The Bronx-born baddie is currently in the process of readying her upcoming debut album, for one, Y2K. The project doesn’t have an official release date yet, though she did give her supporters a taste of what’s to come with a new track last week. The Sean Paul-sampling single, “Gimmie A Light,” arrived alongside a fun smoke-themed music video, and left listeners impressed.
While it remains unclear exactly when fans will get to hear the entirety of Y2K, Ice Spice is keeping her followers entertained in the meantime with various social media updates and interviews. In a recent conversation with Zane Lowe for Apple Music’s New Music Daily, for example, she revealed what inspired the album. According to the rapper, her mother’s aesthetic growing up was the perfect blueprint. “I’d see her really embody the Y2K aesthetic in its truest form,” she explained. “It’s duck nails, it’s a tramp stamp. It’s brown lip liner no matter where you go.”
Now, the 24-year-old MC has unveiled a couple of flirty new photos, embracing her own version of the Y2K aesthetic in a curve-hugging leopard print jumpsuit. She paired the fun fit with a simple pair of black pumps and rocked her signature curly hairdo. “Bad btch came straight outta fordham,” she captioned the photos, adding a star emoji. Of course, her comments section has been flooded with countless thirsty fans, as well as plenty of demands for even more new music.
What do you think of Ice Spice’s new photos? Are you looking forward to hearing her upcoming album, Y2K? How do you like her new song, “Gimmie A Light”? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below, and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates.
As usual, Angela Simmons turned heads with her bikini-clad thirst trap on Instagram yesterday (Friday, May 17), but it wasn’t for her followers. Rather, it was for her boo Yo Gotti as some early birthday gifts, as he turns 43 this Sunday (May 19), and it seems like they are on vacation to celebrate the occasion. The two seem to be going as strong as ever, and this continues fans’ constant interest and shipping as they flaunt their relationship online. Wherever they are, and however else they plan to celebrate his special day, we wish them the best of times and hope there are many more great things to come in 2024 and beyond.
While the two always pop out for events, award shows, and their own social media feeds, even this consistent presence can make some standout moments. For example, Yo Gotti and Angela Simmons accompanied E-40 to a White House party last year, and they obviously looked stunning at the luxurious and lavish gathering. They’re big flexers, to say the least, so it’s no wonder that they would want to share their sunny birthday vacation with fans as well. We’ll probably see a whole lot more of them on the red carpet later this year.
Elsewhere, Yo Gotti in particular spoke on how figures like Jay-Z gave him the motivation to nurture his education and further develop himself. “I may want to buy a company or acquire another company,” he told Forbes. “So I’m making sure I’m super tight… And understand the language and the verbiage myself other than listening to financial experts. If I never wrote another rap again, I’m financially straight. My whole career, I was setting up for that.
Meanwhile, Hov himself chimed into this piece, saying that Yo Gotti’s special penchant for business and entrepreneurship is “evident in every move he makes, breaking the mold of the old-guard definition of an executive.” It’s no wonder that Angela Simmons is so proud of her boo, and that he’s proud of her own ventures. We’ll see how else they celebrate each other. For more news and the latest updates on this couple, come back to HNHH.
