Stephen A. Smith Roasted For Oversized Jordan Hat

Stephen A. Smith is getting a lot of heat for gameday attire this past weekend. Smith was in Philly, the city where he established himself as an award-winning journalist, for Eagles-Cowboys. While at the game, an Eagles win, Smith stopped to take a selfie with a Philly die-hard named Molly. Subsequently, Molly posted the picture to social media. And almost immediately, people began roasting Smith for the oversized Jordan-brand hat he was wearing.

Not only was the baseball cap a size or two too big for Smith, the brim was so sharp and rigid that it looked frozen in place. One person compared it to the iconic Star Destroyer-class spaceship from Star Wars. Another say it reminded them of a meal kit taco shell. Meanwhile, the size of the hat also elicited its own scrutiny. One social media user noted that there was so much free space that Smith could “tuck a PB&J behind his ear like a cigarette”. Whether the fit was intentional, or simply a wardrobe oversight, remains to be seen.

Stephen A. Weighs In On “Dinner With JAY-Z” Question

Away from questionable headgear, Smith recently weighed in on the viral trend of answering the question of “Dinner with JAY-Z or $500K?”. Smith weighed in after Hov himself told people to take the money. “I don’t think this is as cut and dry as JAY-Z says it is. If you are broke and you are struggling to pay the bills? You take the half-million. Because money talks. But if you have the money, just adding $500K to your coffers opposed to a one-on-one meeting with such a brilliant brother as this? I’m not sure you turn it down.” Smith went on to argue that a face-to-face meeting provides you with more clarity when it comes to advice and the ability to cultivate a relationship with JAY-Z “if he’s impressed by you”.

However, it’s a question that has proven divisive. A lot of people have chosen the dinner over the money simply because it would be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to meet JAY-Z. Furthermore, there are a few things about Smith’s answer that are a little personal experience-specific. Smith makes $12 million a year from ESPN alone. He doesn’t need the money. But $500K is a life-changing amount for about 99% of the population. But what do you think – are you taking the money or the meal? Let us know in the comments.

Raiders Fire Josh McDaniels, Stephen A. Smith Predicts Coach’s Next Move

The Las Vegas Raiders have effectively cleaned house. Following a 26-14 loss to Detroit, the team fired head coach Josh McDaniels, GM Dave Ziegler, and offensive coordinator Mike Lombardi. Linebackers coach Antonio Pierce will serve as interim head coach, while quarterbacks coach Bo Hardegree will be promoted to offensive coordinator. Pierce won a Super Bowl as player and has been coached at various levels of the game since 2014.

Reacting to the news on First Take, Stephen A. Smith gave a very astute prediction of where McDaniels is likely headed next. “Bill O’Brien, I hope you enjoy your one year with the Patriots. Because move aside, Josh McDaniels is going to come back to the one place where he’s found success,” Smith said. McDaniels has spent a combined 16 years working with the Patriots organization, including multiple stints as a Super Bowl-winning offensive coordinator.

Raiders Look To Turn Over A New Leaf

At 3-5 on the season, the Raiders decided that changes needed to be made. The front office will likely decide to hire a separate head coach and offensive coordinator in the offseason, instead of the dual-responsibility role as it existed under McDaniels. There will also be serious questions to be made about team structure, such as whether to draft a QB of the future or stick with Jimmy G. The Raiders are expected to give rookie Aidan O’Connell another chance under center on Sunday against the Giants.

However, the current situation is just another punchline for the laughingstock that is the Raiders. On Sunday, Pierce will become the 12th person in the latest 20 years to coach a game for the Raiders. That sets the Raiders as the team with the highest coaching turnover in the NFL in that span. It’s one more than the Browns, who are widely seen as the epitome of failure over that timespan. Since moving to Vegas in 2020, the team has only had one winning season. Last year, the Raiders went 6-11.

Stephen A. Smith Weighs In On “Dinner With JAY-Z Or $500K”

Stephen A. Smith has become the latest person to answer the age-old question – dinner with JAY-Z or $500K. JAY-Z Roasts Stephen A.

Additionally, it’s pretty easy for Stephen A. to give his answer thanks to his already cultivated relationship with JAY-Z. Hov was one of the people who roasted Smith for his terrible first pitch at a Yankees game earlier this year. According to Smith, the rapper texted him a picture of an article discussing Smith’s picture with a collection of sad face emojis attached. “He’s supposed to be my guy,” Smith said sadly.

More mockery came from the likes of Derek Jeter and Steve Harvey. Jeter reportedly told Smith “don’t mess this up” before the pitch. After the pitch, Jeter called Smith back and told him to claim he was playing “cricket not baseball”. Meanwhile, Harvey called into First Take to roast Smith. “Brother, man, I love you, dog. But I could not believe what I saw. Listen man, I don’t know if anyone who has called in today has actually thrown out a first pitch. I have thrown out a first pitch, at a Cubs game. I walked up to the mound, I’m actually 10, 12 years older than you. I leaned up back, I put some pepper on it. What you did yesterday…oh my god,” Steve Harvey said during a minute-long rant at Smith.

Stephen A. Smith Believes Teams Passed On Dwight Howard Due To Stephen Harper Lawsuit

Stephen A. Smith has claimed that the details of the Dwight Howard lawsuit, namely that he performed non-consensual acts on model Stephen Harper, is the reason that Howard went unsigned in the NBA this past offseason. The ESPN personality made his claims on the most recent episode of The Stephen A. Smith Show, becoming visibly disgusted while reading Harper’s account of what Howard did to him following an invitation for a threesome at Howard’s home.

Dwight Howard has formally denied sexually assaulting model Stephen Harper. Howver, he did not deny inviting Harper to his home for a threesome, which allegedly involved an individual named Kitty. Based on the accounts given by Howard and Harper, it is unclear if Kitty is a transgender individual or simply a cross-dresser. Furthermore, Harper alleges that he was forced to perform sexual acts on Howard and that Howard performed non-consensual acts on him after he objected to participating in the account. Howard has been sued by Harper but has not been formally charged with a crime.

Ma$e Focuses More On Howard’s Sexuality Than His Sexual Assault

Meanwhile, on It Is What It Is, Ma$e gave a similar conclusion to Smith. However, the rapper focused more on Howard’s sexuality than the claims of sexual assault. We gotta stop saying it doesn’t matter what happens behind closed doors because it does matter. People wouldn’t be talking about it if it didn’t matter. There’s a reason that 30 teams didn’t sign Dwight Howard,” the rapper argued. At no point in the monologue does Ma$e refer to the accusations being made against Howard.

However, it’s not the first time that Ma$e has addressed the Dwight Howard allegations. Back in August, he and Cam’ron appeared to imply that Dwight Howard’s sexuality was more of a concern than the sexual assault allegations against him. In the episode, Cam’ron claimed that days before the assault allegations were made public, Howard’s team reached out. Their intention was apparently to secure an appearance for Howard. Cam’ron then proceeded to ask his co-host how he would react. In particular, given the revelations, how he would react if he was on a team and playing with Howard. “I don’t want to say it because we’re on the air. But I would probably want Howard to have his own space,” Ma$e argued. The comment implied that he would want Howard segregated from the team due to his attraction to men.

“First Take” Heading To The Alma Maters Of Stephen A. Smith And Shannon Sharpe

First Take is headed on the road to kick off November. ESPN has announced that the show will do back-to-back live tapings from Savannah State and Winston-Salem State on November 6 and 7. Additionally, the HBCUs are the alma maters of Shannon Sharpe and Stephen A. Smith respectively. “I’ve been a part of a whole bunch of exciting things throughout my years on First Take. But this may take the cake. To have back-to-back days at HBCUs – on campus, LIVE – providing Black Colleges with national television exposure is sensational within itself. But for the two universities to be the alma maters of Shannon Sharpe and myself…I just can’t express how excited I am. Shannon can’t wait. Neither can I. This is going to be some of the greatest moments of my career. And I know Shannon feels the same. Buckle Up! Here we come!” said Smith.

“If somebody would have told me, when I stepped onto that Savannah State Campus, that I would one day return to my alma mater in this capacity, I would have laughed. This is incredible, and to be able to come back this way means so much to me and I am so very excited. I have to thank Stephen A. for making this happen, and I have to thank ESPN and Disney for making this possible. We get to be a part of showing the world how great HBCUs are, and that is very special. We’re coming home!” added Sharpe.

Stephen A. Smith Goes After Jada Pinkett Smith

However, elsewhere, Stephen A. had less complimentary things to say about actress Jada Pinkett Smith amid her recent book tour. “What’s the dude’s name? August? I don’t know who he is. I know he’s the friend of your son, who’s 21 years younger than you. What you do is your business. Any woman who wants to be a cougar with a dude of legal age that is your business. But, the operative words are ‘your business’,” Smith began, referring to Pinkett-Smith’s confession of an affair with singer August Alsina. “”Did you have to go and tell everybody? Go ahead and do it. Why does everybody have to know? Why? Why did everybody have to know? You didn’t tell everybody what you did while you were doing it?” Smith continued.

Furthermore, the ESPN host continued to ramp up his attack. “There wasn’t no porn movie. Wasn’t no X-rated movie. Why? Because it was none of our business. So, why talk about it? Keep it to yourself. And you keep it to yourself, not just because it’s yourself, but because there’s a man who loves you. Who married you. He deserve that? Seriously, he deserve that? Somebody gotta say that to Jada, plain and simple,” he said.

Deion Sanders Agrees With Stephen A. Smith About Moving On From Stanford Loss

Deion Sanders gave props to ESPN host Stephen A. Smith as he posted some behind-the-scenes content from Colorado’s training facility. “He’s right. Now let’s move on,” Sanders told his players after showing them a clip of Smith going in for the team for their embarrassing loss to Stanford last weekend. He also went in hard on his son, starting quarterback Shedeur Sanders. Smith had called out the younger Sanders explicitly for an ill-time merch promo that dropped at halftime with the Buffs up 29-0. The team would go on to lose 46-43 in overtime.

“Show up, stand up because your daddy, and to the players on that squad, your coach. As much bravado as he had. As much swag as he had. He was the best on the planet week in and week out. You knew Prime Time, Deion Sanders, was the best probably ever. Y’all aren’t on that level. Stop acting like it and show up on the damn field and do what the hell you are supposed to do instead of getting your ass kicked on national television. Somebody gotta say it,” Smith said of the college senior during First Take this past Monday.

Sanders & Colorado Face Brutal Road To Season’s End

Sitting at 4-3, Colorado will need to bounce back in a serious way to secure bowl eligibility. However, that is easier said than done given how the rest of their season looks. three of their five remaining opponents are currently ranked, with a fourth having spent multiple weeks ranked this season. Meanwhile, their only unranked opponent, Arizona, recently pushed USC to triple overtime. It is by no means an easy feat for Colorado to reach 6-6, let alone a winning record.

Despite this, they will have a week to recover. Next weekend is Colorado’s bye, where they will look to shore up a defense that ranks 7th worst in the country in terms of points allowed. After that, the first game of their season-ending gauntlet is a road game against #25 UCLA. Colorado will have two more home games this season (#12 Oregon State, Arizona). However, they will finish the season with back-to-back road games (Washington State, #14 Utah).

Stephen A. Smith Blasts Jada Pinkett Smith For Her Recent Relationship Revelations

Stephen A. Smith has called out Jada Pinkett Smith as she continues to drop relationship bombshells amid her publicity tour. “What’s the dude’s name? August? I don’t know who he is. I know he’s the friend of your son, who’s 21 years younger than you. What you do is your business. Any woman who wants to be a cougar with a dude of legal age that is your business. Chris Rock Responds To Pinkett Smith Name-Dropping Him During Book Tour

It seems that Stephen A. isn’t the only one annoyed with Pinkett Smith at the moment. Besides a growing internet meme about Pinkett Smith seemingly being oblivious to major world events, Chris Rock has addressed being part of her tour. Pinkett Smith told PEOPLE that Rock had asked her on a date while rumors were circulating that she and Will Smith were getting divorced.

“Chris has said his piece on the entire Will Smith slap, but now with these new revelations from Jada that she and Will have been living separate lives it is just another WTF moment in the whole saga from these past few years between Chris, her, and Will. He is a relatively private person and was just getting to a point where people may have started to move on, but now it is back in the limelight, and it’s just frustrating that everything is coming back to the forefront,” an insider told the Daily Mail after Rock was mentioned multiple times by Pinkett-Smith.

Stephen A. Smith Seemingly Calls Jason Whitlock A “Fat Bastard” In Scathing Rant

Stephen A. Smith has seemingly gone after long-time foe Jason Whitlock during the latest episode of The Stephen A. Smith Show. While Smith did not name Whitlock explicitly, it’s pretty clear who he was talking about. He referred to him as a “fat bastard” and said that the individual in question “disgusted” him. Whitlock, who previously worked at ESPN in two separate stints, has long been critical of Smith. Through his show on the right-wing Blaze Media, Whitlock has consistently taken at Smith on everything from his income-to-viewer ratio to Smith’s alleged backstabbing of other ESPN personalities.

However, it’s not just Smith he’s come after as of late. Whitlock also recently took aim at Shannon Sharpe. “I know what happened at FS1. I’m gonna say this speaking more specifically to Shannon Sharpe. Cut it out. Shannon Sharpe is trying to point a finger at a Fox executive or two, trying to smear them and put pressure on them to drum up a media storm of someone needing to be replaced…” Whitlock said on his YouTube show last month. The comments were in response to Smith claiming that Sharpe had been “forced out” at Fox.

Smith Trolls The Cowboys

Elsewhere, Smith has been a little more light-hearted and leaning into one of his favorite past times – dunking on the Cowboys. Smith opened his Monday morning First Take show with an ecstatic recap of the Cowboys’ decisive loss to the Niners over the weekend. What’s more, in a little added flair, Smith did the only thing while speaking directly to former Cowboy Deion Sanders while wearing a Michael Irvin jersey.

However, this is now a common occurrence on First Take. After the Cowboys lost to Arizona, Smith tore into the team while speaking with Marcus Spears. “They will find a way. What can go wrong, will go wrong. Just be patient, just wait. It’s coming. Because guess what, Marcus? You just gave me an additional reason why the Cowboys ain’t going to win this year. I get to point to their lack of maturity.”

Stephen A Smith Defends Drake Amid Joe Budden Feud

Stephen A. Smith says that Drake has ‘every right” to defend himself amid his ongoing feud with Joe Budden. Addressing the dispute on his podcast on YouTube, Tuesday, Smith explained that Drake is at the top of the game, following the release of For All The Dogs. Despite understanding Drake’s position, Smith did admit he may have taken his response too far.

He explained: “He didn’t have to go that far with Joe Budden than the first class occasion. That was kind of low. But obviously they got a rivalry, they got something going on and it’s messing with Drake and he felt the need to speak up and defend himself or whatever the case may be. You come out with a new album for the first time in a while after people have been clamoring for you to come out with an album and first thing you hear is a criticism from a guy that you’ve heard criticism from before.”

He further added: “Drakе statistically, numbеrs wisе, dollars wisе, is clеarly on anothеr lеvеl. It’s just that simple. Drake is spеaking up for himsеlf which hе has еvеry right to do.” Smith also noted that he has personal experience within his own industry that gives him sympathy for Drake’s actions. “There’s some cats in my industry. Oh, I’m itching,” he revealed. “I’m scratching preventing myself from going at their asses. Really, I am. Because I’m up here in this industry and I don’t need to go down there. But I’m tempted because that’s where I’m from and I know that lane and I really really really want to. I really do.” From there, he explained that he has friends and loved ones who “expect better” from him. “I understand exactly where Drake is coming from,” he added.

Stephen A. Smith Hilariously Trolls The Cowboys After Horrific Blowout

Stephen A. Smith is one of the most staunch haters in the world as it pertains to the Dallas Cowboys. Overall, he always makes sure to give them hell whenever they underperform. Although a lot of people hate Stephen A. for his Cowboys takes, there are many others who find them entertaining. After all, the Cowboys are both easy and fun to make jokes about. Jerry Jones is always caught doing too much, while others believe the team is hilarious because of their propensity to underperform.

On Sunday, they had their most difficult test of the season thus far. The team played against the almighty San Francisco 49ers. The Niners came into the game as an undefeated squad and they left the game as an undefeated squad. In fact, they beat down on the Cowboys in an unrelenting fashion. The final score was 42-10, and as you can imagine, Stephen A. was hyped. Firstly, he took to Twitter after the game where he posted his signature laugh that only get posted after a Cowboys loss. Subsequently, he went on First Take this morning and kept the jokes going.

Stephen A. Does His Thing

As you can see in the video above, Stephen A. could be seen wearing a Michael Irvin jersey, all while continuously taunting Cowboys fans. It was all very amusing, and you could tell he was having a lot of fun doing this. However, the joke definitely was not funny to all of the Cowboys fans out there. Sure, Shannon Sharpe was laughing, but if you love Dallas, it must hurt to see such joy emanating from a 32-point destruction.

With the loss, the Cowboys are now 3-2 this season. They started off strong, but now, they don’t look so hot. Only time will tell whether or not this team can actually compete come playoff time.
