Mike Greenberg has watched and studied enough sports in his long broadcasting career to know when something sounds off. However, sometimes, a thought can cross your mind that makes you believe even the most asinine ideas. This has to be the case with the latest statement Greenberg made this morning on ESPN’s Get Up. When discussing the UConn Huskies men’s basketball team, the long time host had high praise for the program. So much high praise that he believes they could compete with NBA teams.

In a quick statement between Jay Williams’s breakdown of the Huskies, here’s what Greenberg had to say, “[UConn men’s basketball] would make the playoffs in the NBA’s Eastern Conference. That’s how good they are.” An absolutely disrespectful comment to make to all of the NBA team’s that may have heard it. But it doesn’t seem like Greenberg regrets what he said. Greenberg’s message was not as well received as he may have thought. Most of the interactions to his statement were most saying this is the dumbest thing they ever heard. Which is a fair assessment. For instance, way back in 2015, many believed that the Kentucky Wildcats were destined to finish the college basketball season undefeated. So of course many were saying silly things like what Greenberg did today, that the team could defeat an NBA team. Long story shot, Kentucky didn’t even make the National Championship that season.

So, long story short, saying that a college team could beat a professional team in any sport is a dumb comment. Yes, we’ve all heard the tales of a team entire of college stars besting the 1992 Dream Team in a scrimmage. On Monday’s episode of First Take, Williams took a moment to discuss expanding a tournament that already fields 68 teams. Williams stated that the tournament should involve 112 teams. Which didn’t go over well to co-hosts Shannon Sharpe and Seth Greenberg. The debate for expanding the NCAA Tournament has heated up in recent years. Although most believe it is perfect as is. The spokesman went even further by saying Wojcik is sorry if those rumors have caused in drama to Jenner and her team. The Tar Heels advanced to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament after a dominating victory over Michigan State.

Cam’ron & Mase Theorize Why Kobe Bryant’s Parents Are Auctioning Off Championship Ring

Cam’ron and Mase discussed Kobe Bryant’s parents’ decision to auction off one of the late NBA legend’s championship rings during a recent episode of It Is What It Is. The two spoke with former NFL player Maurice Clarett for the segment and theorized why the couple made the controversial move. The ring appeared on the sports memorabilia site Goldin, earlier this month. It opened with a bid of $30,000 but has since ballooned to $141,000.

“History has shown a little bit that Kobe and his parents weren’t on the best of terms, because of their relationship… I think that could play a part into why they selling the ring… Your family can sometimes do you the worst, it could be worst than what you get in the street,” Mase said on the show.

The Houston Rockets player is 22 years old while the former Basketball Wives star is 39. The duo appeared to be doing better than ever, with Green even breaking his silence last week to defend Michele amid “predator” accusations. Now, however, he’s facing some of his own.

Recently, an unnamed model came forward to claim that she was also impregnated by Green, though this remains unconfirmed. According to her, she delivered their child in February. Another woman, a stripper, also claims to be expecting a child with Green. Allegedly, her due date is the same as Draya Michele’s, around May of this year. It’s unclear at the time of writing whether or not Michele was aware of their alleged pregnancies.
