Bad Bunny & Ñengo Flow Surprise Fans With “Gato De Noche” Single: Stream

Bad Bunny is a man of his word. Earlier this week, the international superstar hinted at new music coming soon. This weekend, he delivered, sharing his “Gato de Noche” single in collaboration with Ñengo Flow.

“This is to close the year,” the Latin rapper wrote on TikTok hours before sharing his surprise.

As Billboard notes, the catchy song’s lyrics are all about a “chico malo,” or bad boy, who’s vying for the attention of a lady that’s already spoken for.

“He loves you and gives you everything / But you’re the devil and you’re crazy for me,” a translation of Bunny’s bars reads. “You like the bad boys and are playing fire with me […] although you’re a sin, I’m going to hell following that big ass.”

This isn’t the first time we’ve seen Ñengo and the YHLQMDLG artist connect. Previously they came together on “Que Malo” and “Safaera,” the latter of which peaked at No. 4 on the Billboard Hot Latin Songs chart. Both titles appear on Bad Bunny’s most recent album.

Less than a month ago, the Puerto Rican rapper also made waves with “La Jumpa.” The song premiered on November 30th and finds him working with Arcángel.

Prior to that came his record-breaking Un Verano Sin Ti album in May, which kept many hip-hop artists from claiming the coveted No. 1 spot this year.

Kota The Friend Returns With A Message On New Single: “I’m Really It Bitch”

Kota the Friend wasn’t shy about sharing new music this year. In the summer, his MEMO album arrived, boasting appearances from friends like Brianna Castro, Hello O’shay, and Samuellimàta.

Since then, he’s appeared on “Pretend” with pluko, as well as on the Subtract Remix of “Let You Drown” alongside KingTrey. Most recently, we heard another collaboration from him and O’shay on “Red Lights” back in November.

Now, the 30-year-old has one last song to sing before we close out 2022. Earlier this week, he delivered “I’m It,” on which he boldly asserts himself as someone who’s spiritually sound and trusting their own path and instincts.

“Got a money tree and I water it on the daily / Trust my intuition, I go wherever it take me,” the New Yorker rhymes. Following that he adds, “Polarizing n*gga, you finna love me or hate me / I don’t give a f*ck either way tho, ‘cuz baby / I’m it, I’m it, I’m it, I’m really it bitch.”

On his Instagram page, promotion for the new single has been minimal. However, K did reveal via his Instagram Story that he has exciting plans to launch a production company in 2023.

NBA YoungBoy Shares “Perc 10” From New “Lost Files” Mixtape

YoungBoy Never Broke Again is easily the most prolific rapper of 2022. Over the course of the last twelve months, YoungBoy has dropped eight full-length projects. In January, he unleashed Colors, and less than two months later, he doubled back with Better Than You alongside DaBaby. Then, YoungBoy dropped his sprawling fourth studio album, The Last Slimeto, towards the end of the summer. Although most artists would have stopped there, YB kept going. As a result, YB fans received Realer 2, 3800 Degreez, Ma’ I Got a Family, and 3860 with Quando Rondo in a span of four months.

Surprisingly, YoungBoy has returned with yet another project, titled Lost Files, this Friday. In contrast to his other recent releases, however, is more like a compilation project containing some of the artist’s most popular unreleased tracks. Thus, fan-favorite tracks like “Temporary Time,” “Rich Nigga,” and “Perc 10” are finally available on streaming services.

NBA YoungBoy’s “Perc 10” officially hits DSPs.

According to Genius, YoungBoy recorded “Perc 10” in 2018, but it was prematurely leaked in 2020. Since it first hit the net, it has been known by names like “Narcotics” and “Blow Yo’ Rocket,” but for its official release, NBA went with “Perc 10” for the title.

The song features bouncing production from Baton Rouge hittmaker PlayboyXO. YoungBoy and XO previously worked together on tracks like 2018’s “Genie” and 2020’s “Dead Trollz,” and “Perc 10” is further proof of their collaborative chemistry. On the three-minute track, YoungBoy skates over the eclectic beat with ease, delivering some motivational bars in the process.

Benny The Butcher Rallies B$F For Their New Single “St. Maurice” Ft. El Camino & Rick Hyde

Benny The Butcher and the Black Soprano Family aren’t done just yet. Following an incredibly active year for all members of the collective, Benny came through with some new heat ahead of the holidays. This time, he brought along Heem B$F, Elcamino, and Rick Hyde for their new collaboration, “St. Maurice.”

Benny and co. lock in with HXXS Almxhdhi and JR Swiftz for the gritty banger. The Tana Talk 4 rapper kicks things off with a dense verse detailing street codes and the pretentious nature of the rap game before Rick Hyde, Elcamino, and Heem B$F swoop in with equally solid verses.

It feels like “St. Maurice” could be setting the stage for what’s to come from B$F in 2023. The new single comes a few short weeks after they unveiled, “We Here” alongside Elcamino and Heem B$F, Rick Hyde, and Benny.

As for Benny The Butcher, he’s still riding high off of the release of Tana Talk 4. His latest album arrived at the top of the year, alongside the single, “Johnny P’s Caddy” with J. Cole. Benny also brought an all-star of collaborators on board, such as Stove God Cooks, Diddy, Boldy James, Conway The Machine, 38 Spesh, and Westside Gunn.

Following his solo project, he rallied the Black Soprano Family for the release of their latest compilation, Long Live Shay. The project included the whole B$F roster as well as appearances from DJ Premier, Krayzie Bone, and Joe Budden, among others.

Check out the latest single from B$F below and sound off with your thoughts on “St. Maurice.”

Quotable Lyrics
Loyalty calls, don’t expect it from n***as who cheap
And little do he know, I’m a wolf to a little sheep
Heavy bars, and got a style so hard that it chisel teeth
We both in love with white girls, how about that? That’s ironic
I put him on digi’ scales, he got a tat’ of Madonna
No emblems on that big body Benz’, knew that I got her

Coi Leray Ends The Year With Her “Wasted” Single & Music Video

There are only a few days left in 2022, and we’ve already received an undeniably impressive load of music over the past 12 months. However, some of our favourite artists continue to get their submissions in before the ball drops on December 31st, closing the year out on a high note. Just one of the stars sharing a new single this Friday (December 23) is Coi Leray.

For her part, the Boston-born entertainer has given us “Wasted.” The title is a reflective song whose lyrics focus on the downfalls of a toxic relationship. “I gave you one chance then you f*cked it up, then you f*cked it up again / A mistake ain’t a mistake when you make the same one again,” she sings as the first verse begins.

Afterward, Leray continues, “You told me that I’m the one but I ain’t one of them / Communication gettin’ frustrated, can we make it make sense?”

The Taylor Hill and TBHits-produced track came along with a new music video. However, it’ll be a few hours until we see the footage officially premiere later today.

Other recent releases to come from the resident Trendsetter include “Players” as well as “Fly Sh!t.” On top of that, she makes an appearance on CMG The Label’s “Hold Me Down” alongside 42 Dugg.

Stream Coi Leray’s “Wasted” on Spotify or Apple Music below. Additionally, make sure to check back at 1 PM ET to catch the premiere of her latest accompanying visual.

Quotable Lyrics:

You make more time for your homies, you hit me when you feelin’ lonely
Yeah, how you gon’ look at me sideways when I ain’t heard from you in five days?
How we together and don’t even speak?
You too busy, out here runnin’ the streets
Ain’t even checkin’ on me
We say it’s love but how could it be?

Baby Tate Airs Out Hitmaka On New Song “Pu$$y R@pp3r”

Baby Tate fired back at Hitmaka’s recent criticism of women in rap with her latest song, “Pu$$y R@pp3r.”

The “Thot Box” producer recently caused an uproar after he said he wanted to hear more women with “strictly bars.” He explained that he wasn’t a fan of “pussy rap,” claiming that it lost its appeal in recent times.

“Can’t wait to work with a pretty female rapper that’s strictly about bars to even the playing field. Pussy rap was cool when it had shock value & was rare. Now it’s like every girl taking it there. It’s sum who aren’t but they need a hit producer 4 impact,” he tweeted.

Needless to say, there were plenty of negative reactions to his commentary. Asian Doll called him out for criticizing women when men have rapped about similar content for decades.

However, Baby Tate gave Hitmaka exactly what he asked for: bars. She didn’t hold back, either. Tate puts the artist formerly known as Yung Berg on blast, claiming that he’s also writing the bars that he’s criticizing. Then, she goes on to question his catalog and his stint on Love & Hip-Hop.

“N***a just said the female bars so wack. Ain’t you writing ’em?…  He a man writing about a p***y, I knew he had a little d**e in him,” she raps.

She later addressed the song’s release on Twitter where she said there’s no beef with Hitmaka.

“As I said it’s no beef! The call was for a ‘pretty female rapper strictly about bars’ and instead of being a dick rider and a pick me I decided to bar mr hitmaka up. There are plenty of GORGEOUS rappers with a plethora of topics & a slew of bars. U just have to open ur eyes,” she wrote. “Also can we release women rappers from the shackles of beauty? These n***as be ugly in peace why can’t we.”

Check out her new song below.

Quotable Lyrics
Rap n***as can’t rap unless there’s a perk involved
N***as jerkin’ off in a circle, talkin’ ’bout female rap, who hurtin’ y’all?
You probably couldn’t pull a bitch even if the bitch was a service doll
N***a, how dare you? Make a hit for yourself
Ain’t been hot since Mims “Hot,” Love & Hip-Hop ain’t help

Summer Walker Covers “Santa Baby” Just In Time For Christmas

With less than a week until Christmas has come and gone for another year, there’s little time for you to finish all the festive holiday prep that comes with December. Luckily, R&B artists in particular have been generously sharing new songs for your listening pleasure while you shop, bake, and decorate away.

Chris Brown, Ari Lennox, and Sevyn Streeter are among those who have given us covers and originals so far. Now, it’s Summer Walker’s turn to shine with her take on “Santa Baby.”

The song first made its debut earlier this month on LVRN’s Home For The Holidays 2 compilation album. Baby Tate, Alex Vaughn, dvsn, Eli Derby, and DRAM are among other artists who contributed.

Additionally, we hear Walker’s voice once more on the project. She and 6LACK came together to create a “Ghetto Christmas” song. In the time since arriving, it’s earned over 1.5M streams on Spotify alone.

On Monday (December 19), the Atlanta native and her label shared the “Santa Baby” music video. In it, the Still Over It songstress sits in a cozy room with lit trees and fake snow surrounding her.

“Santa baby, just slip a Sable under the tree for me / Been an awful good girl / Santa baby, so hurry down the chimney tonight,” Walker’s voice rings out on the first verse.

While the “No Love” artist’s fans are certainly revelling in the Christmas cheer she’s brought them, she has some celebrating of her own to do. According to recent reports, the 26-year-old is due to give birth to twins any day now.

Quotable Lyrics:

Think of all the fun I’ve missed
Think of all the fellas that I haven’t kissed
Next year I could be just as good

London-Based R&B Group FLO Unleash Their Beautiful “Losing You” Single

Breakups are never easy. Luckily, London-based girl group FLO has shared their “Losing You” single that makes being on your own again easier than ever. The song arrived on Friday (December 16), and finds members Stella, Jorda, and Renée harmonizing as they express their vulnerable feelings.

“Dishes in the sink, I ain’t have no time to think / I don’t even ask you where you been / I know you’re with some other bitch,” the latter sings on the first verse. Her lyrics obviously set the tone for the rest of the track as her fellow vocalists air their own grievances.

On the chorus, Stella reflects, “Losing you was easier than I thought it’d be / I’m happy on my own / It’s the first time I finally feel at home.”

In a press release, FLO spoke about their latest release. “It’s fitting that ‘Losing You’ is being released this time of the year as it’s all about going through a loss but somehow being comforted by it,” they said.

“It reminds you of how content you are by yourself and finding that cheerful spirit during a tough time.”

Earlier this month, FLO dropped off their The Lead EP. Complete with six tracks, it finds the girls showing off their individual strengths over well built soundscapes.

As a press release notes, the trio made history last month. Thanks to their hard work, they’re officially the first group to ever win the prestigious BRIT Rising Star Award. Others to champion the same category include Adele and Sam Smith.

Fetty Wap Drops “Sweet Yamz” Remix With Ronald Isley & Charlie Wilson

One of the year’s last big viral hits has gotten yet another remix. Fetty Wap recruited soul legend Ronald Isley and Charlie Wilson for another remix of “Sweet Yamz.” While the last one featured Wiz Khalifa, this one is supercharged with incredible soul harmonies and vocal runs. Moreover, having such superstars on the remix helps accentuate the song’s vintage tone and instrumentation. It sounds like an ’80s-tinged soul track with some impassioned ad-libs here and there to give it extra energy.

These new versions of “Sweet Yamz” definitely feed into that positivity. It’s a lustful, urgent, yet charming and fun song whose vitality is no surprise. Moreover, the chorus melody is incredibly catchy, and the lyrics are simple enough to get stuck in your head. Meanwhile, the sheer vocal power on display on this song is quite impressive. The Jersey rapper switches between high and low registers with ease, and his potent voice conveys a lot of emotion. Also, this is his first solo material since 2021’s “First Day Out.”

Although Wap does great here, Wilson’s dominant screams and runs elevate the chorus. In addition, he gets cheeky in his verses, with some food references to convey his hunger for his partner. However, Ronald Isley steals the show at the very end, partly because he sounds eerily similar to Don Toliver (or rather, Don sounds like Isley). His higher register makes for a more animated performances, and his food references are even funnier and more outlandish.

Additionally, these hot songs come amid a tough legal battle for Fetty Wap as he’s incarcerated on drug charges. Last October, he spoke from jail and said that he was keeping his head high despite the controversy.

What did you think of this remix? How does it stack up to the original? Whatever the case, let us know in the comments down below. If you’ve still yet to check it out, you can find “Sweet Yamz (Remix)” with Fetty Wap, Ronald Isley, and Charlie Wilson on your preferred streaming service. Also, check out some notable lyrics below and stay tuned to HNHH for the latest hot remixes.

Quotable Lyrics

The yams are all I know (I know but)
Or was it just a distraction?
I see myself in your eyes, baby
Can I get to the yams?
