Well, it is now Friday, and the Washington D.C. rapper delivered on his promise by dropping a brand-new single. “Max Julien” is his first solo effort since his 2022 record, More About Nothing. What is also exciting for Wale is that we recently found out that he decided to join a different record label.

According to multiple reports and sources, including TMZ Hip-Hop, he inked a deal with Def Jam Records. Furthermore, he also apparently signed the contract a few months prior and wanted to keep it hidden for a bit. It was a great bombshell to drop last night because it built more anticipation for this single. “Max Julien” is a life update track that reveals how the rapper has been feeling lately.

D. Savage Is Feeling Like He Is The Man On “Lost & Found”

It has been quite a while since we at HNHH have had the chance to cover new D. Savage music. However, that changes today, as the Queens, New York MC has recently come out with a fresh single, “Lost & Found.” One of the lanes that Savage operates well in is the melodic side. It has become arguably the most popular subgenre of hip-hop since the 2010s.

While Savage is not the most standout voice in that space, he gets the job done time and time again. “Lost & Found” fits that bill and on this one, he is feeling more confident than ever before. At one point, he raps about knowing who actually messes with him and not letting them take advantage of his status. “All of this money, I do what I want / And I know niggas ain’t really gon’ ride / But I knew all of this shit from the jump.”

Might as well go all out since it has been a hot minute. Rubi sounds braggadocious over this luxuriously smooth trap beat.

The looping piano keys add to the dramatic and inspirational tone of the song. L Beats lays down the production for Kodak and it perfectly matches his lyrics. It consists of his most vital relationships with friends and family. It comes as no surprise since both have an extensive work history. For example, His 2018 record, Dying to Live, featured a few production credits from L.

Aesop Rock Drops Another Taster From “Integrated Tech Solutions” With “By The River”

The birthplace of hip-hop has plenty of reasons to celebrate this year. It has now been 50 years since the inception of the genre. Over five decades, plenty of artists from all over New York have come and gone. One that is still going strong to this day is Aesop Rock. Born in Long Island, Rock has been putting out some of the best of the best material since 1999 with his debut, Appleseed.

Aesop currently has 14 different projects to his name. Not to mention, he also has a few instrumental and deluxe editions of some of his records. Well, he is gearing up for his 15th offering which is due to drop on November 10. His newest album will be titled, Integrated Tech Solutions, or ITS.

ATL Jacob Shows He His A Dual Threat With “MF Problem”

Atlanta, Georgia might be the most important city for hip-hop. Especially, with the current state that the genre is in, it is hard to imagine any other area that is more vital to its success. One of the reasons for that is of course due to the tremendous amount of talented rappers that herald from there. On top of that, the city boasts some of the hottest producers as well. The biggest fish in the pond is undoubtedly Metro Boomin right now. However, there could be another name that could someday be remembered as the best trap producer. That is none other than ATL Jacob.

While he does not have the most recognition right now from casual listeners, Jacob is gaining a ton of respect from hip-hop’s finest. One of his most frequent collaborators as of late has been Future. That is a huge deal considering that many call him the G.O.A.T of trap music. Jacon had tons of production credits on his last tape I NEVER LIKED YOU. Some of the best cuts from that album, “HOLY GHOST” and “KEEP IT BURNIN” with Kanye West, are provided by ATL.

What is also separating him from most other up-and-coming producers is his solo rap career. He has been putting out his own material since 2019 and Jacob is growing his catalog to this day. “MF Problem” sees the 24-year-old showing why is a problem for other artists. DijahSB Spits Some Realness On Their New Single “How R U”

One of Toronto’s very best underrated and local products is back with a brand single and it is terrific. Their name is DijahSB and they have been putting out quality material for the past four years or so. Their career began in 2019 with a single called “I Wonder.” After that, Dijah released a whole host of tracks just a year later. In fact, five out of the seven cuts that came out that year landed on their debut project, 2020 the Album.

With some more loose tracks sprinkled throughout their discography, a couple of EPs were released, too. In 2021, Tasty Raps, Vol. 1 was covered here on HNHH. Additionally, they followed it up with Tasty Raps, Vol. 2 two years later. Now, she is continuing their steady output for 2023 with a new track.

Kevin Abstract Makes His Solo Return With His Latest Track “Blanket”

Kevin Abstract and BROCKHAMPTON called it quits nearly a year ago with their album, The Family. It was an unfortunate and sad end to the group’s tenure together. One of the most entertaining collections of talent in the hip-hop community and BROCKHAMPTON will always be in our hearts. Their legacy is truly special Abstract has not been active since 2022 either. Actually, the last release under his stage name was in 2021.

It was a single with Ryan Beatty titled “SIERRA NIGHTS.” After that, was a single in 2022 called “DEAR MISS HOLLOWAY” with easy life. Finally, him and Baird dropped a two-pack “Easy v2.” Those songs were titled “Easy v2” and “Easy On Them Turns,” which was a Baird-only cut. However, we finally have some new material from Kevin and it is something that is totally different.

The track is called “Blanket” and it is just under two minutes. It really is not much of a song, though. An album is on the way as well, but no word of the name or release date just yet.

Her musical career began just a few years ago back in 2020. Her single, “First Draft Pick,” put her on some people’s radars.

However, the song that got more ears on her than ever before was her hit, “Beating Down Yo Block.” The bouncy production and her brash flows were a selling point for most listeners. The song is up to over 35.5 million streams on Spotify. If you follow rap closely, you might know that she is with fellow MC Stunna 4 Vegas. They both had a child right before the release of her debut project Where The Flowers Don’t Die.

SoFaygo Is Back With His First Offering Since “GO+” With “Everytime”

Travis Scott’s label, Cactus Jack, has plenty of talent on its roster. The biggest star on the label besides La Flame, is Don Toliver. He and Travis have worked with each other extensively on albums, singles, and more. You also have Sheck Wes, whose debut album, MUDBOY, was a big deal back in 2018. Since then, he has not dropped any solo material since 2022. The label dropped a posse album JACKBOYS in 2019 which had big songs on it like “OUT WEST” and “GATTI,” among others. However, one other artist that is on the label that signed after that record is SoFaygo.

However, the two really have not worked together too often, if not at all. Travis promotes his music on social media, though. Faygo is still working his way up, but he does have some projects under his belt. Just a few months ago, he put out his fifth project, GO+.

Since June, the Grand Rapids, Michigan artist has not put out anything. However, just a little bit ago, one of the producers, y2tnb, uploaded a song with SoFaygo on it.
