Drake’s social media antics never fail to capture the attention of both fans and critics alike, and the Toronto rapper’s latest Instagram story post is no exception. Last night, he shared a new selfie, sporting his signature duck face and debuting a new hairstyle. As far as his hair goes, he’s kept it simple compared to some of his other recent styles, ditching the braids entirely. This, of course, has prompted plenty of commenters to reference Kendrick Lamar’s line about braids on his Drake diss track “Euphoria.”

“‘What is it, the braids?’ Got to him,” one Instagram user in Worldstar‘s comments section writes. “Kendrick got this man to cut his whole hair off,” someone else jokes. Others are more concerned with Drake’s pose. “Why he always tryna kiss me thru the phone,” a commenter wonders. Some even speculate that he must be trolling. For now, whether or not that’s true remains unclear, but this is far from the first selfie of its kind.

Earlier this month, for example, he hopped online to post a mirror selfie. In it, he’s seen rocking braided pigtails and a similarly pouty facial expression. He got roasted for that one as well, though it clearly didn’t stop him from getting back on the Gram. It looks like Drizzy could have far bigger things to worry about these days than selfies, however.

Last week, he told his followers that he put $355K on Mike Tyson winning his boxing match against Jake Paul. “I’m late but I’m here money on the liiiiiiiiine for today,” he captioned his post. “And tmrw @stake I need some dubs.” Sadly, both he and Mike Tyson took major losses on Friday. He’s yet to comment on the lost bet, which was just one of many he’s lost so far this year.

DDG Looks Unbothered In New Selfie With Son Halo Amid Halle Bailey Drama

Last night, DDG’s relationship with Halle Bailey took a turn for the worse, as she took to X to call him out. She took issue with him bringing their son Halo on Kai Cenat’s stream without her approval, claiming that nobody let her know ahead of time. Bailey described herself as “saddened” and “extremely upset” by the situation.

“Just so you know I am out of town and I don’t approve of my baby being on a stream tonight. I wasn’t told or notified,” she wrote, “I am extremely upset to have my baby in front of millions of people. I am his mother and protector and saddened that I wasn’t notified especially when I am out of town.” She also referenced her postpartum depression, and how her boundaries were not considered.

DDG appeared to be in good spirits last night despite this. He even shared a selfie featuring Halo on his Instagram Story. He’s yet to address the situation, though Bailey has since apologized for bringing the situation online. According to her, she simply didn’t appreciate how nobody told her Halo would appear on Cenat’s stream and would have preferred better communication all around.

“Yesterday maybe i did overreact and shouldn’t have brought it here,” she wrote today. “I know that halo is always safe with his dad. I just don’t like finding out with the rest of the world what my baby is doing. In the photo, Glo flashes a peace sign in her bathroom mirror. “Damn Glo I’m loving this bathroom [side eye emoji],” he wrote. Of course, other social media users quickly took note of his comment and speculated that it was his attempt at shooting his shot.

While most can’t blame him for his apparent thirst, many are urging him to sit this one out, calling attention to their age difference. “Trick, you have daughters her age,” one fan writes alongside a laughing emoji. “Stop it.” Someone else simply says, “She’s 25 and he’s 50…” Others are coming to his defense, arguing that the remark could have actually been an innocent compliment.

He insisted that she was snubbed at the BET Awards this year, as Tyla took home the award for Best New Artist instead of her.

“Sexyy Red… You got snubbed,” he began. “Sexyy Red was up for the rapper, entertainer, performer. One of ’em other year. I remember last year, they was hating on her since she wasn’t making, now I can’t go in a club. NLE Choppa has responded to the fans accusing him of “gay-baiting” with his latest selfie. The drama about his sexuality began when he posted a photo of himself kissing his reflection in a mirror with the caption: “I Am Self Love, ALL PRAISES.” When a user on Twitter accused him of acting vague about his sexuality to attract an LGBTQ+ audience, Choppa fired back: “So none of yall kissed yall self in the mirror before? We counting childhood too.”

His fans came to his defense in response to the post as well. One user wrote: “No yall just mad because he comfortable with himself and yall want him to be gay. Just say that.” Another wrote: “He’s comfortable with his sexuality and already said he appreciates the gay community for supporting him. Y’all still wanna drag it.”

Back in 2022, he confirmed that he prefers women to men. “First and foremost I love myself and I’m comfortable enough in my skin to show the beauty God blessed me with. Secondly, I LOVE all so I don’t mind attracting both genders, but most importantly my sexual preference is women. Please stop trying to make me something I am not,” NLE Choppa said on Twitter at the time. However, we can’t miss how folks often clown him online for fashion choices and other style reasons, whether or not that’s warranted or funny in the first place. On that note, fans are now taking aim at the 6ix God’s recently showcased curls in an IG Story selfie, which sees him do a little duck face for the camera, too. Folks flooded comments sections under posts covering this with cheeky, “zesty” GIFs of him, plus references to other similarly themed jabs at him. “It’s giving Ben Stiller in Zoolander,” one fan expressed, with another adding “21 can you do sum fa meeeee.”

Furthermore, part of this hyper-fixation is just because of how big Drake is as an artist and celebrity. Otherwise, folks wouldn’t care too much to comment on any old selfie from some guy, and they let some of their most critical or bigoted thoughts emerge when it’s about a huge superstar. He doesn’t mind at all, though; after all, he keeps posting things like this all the time. Ocean teased having a new album in store when he performed at Coachella in 2023. “It’s been so long, but I have missed you. I want to talk about why I’m here, because it’s not because of a new album. It’s because… not that there’s not a new album, just like… but there’s not right now,” he said on stage during the performance. Outside of the announcement, the show didn’t go over well with fans. It started an hour late, featured no new music, and ended early due to the festival’s curfew. A live stream of the set was also cut last-minute. Amid all of the complaints, he canceled a second performance at the event the following weekend. At the same time, she shaded him over his feud with Benny The Butcher, whom she recently posed for photos with, much to fans’ surprise. It seems the content creator isn’t stopping there. As HipHopDX reports, her latest lyricist lover is Millyz, who she posted up with in coordinated outfits on Monday (January 29). On his account, the seasoned rhymer wrote, “Treacherous lil twin ” along with a collection of cute images. The first finds them posing in the mirror, FIT MAMI accentuating her ample chest under a white tank. Millyz was dressed similarly, though his jeans were a slightly lighter wash than hers.
