Lil Wayne, Saweetie, And Pusha T Hype The Upcoming NFL Season In A Clever Teaser
The 2022-23 NFL season is right around the corner and the league is already starting up the hype train. In recent years, the NFL has made more of an effort to embrace pop culture, especially hip-hop — likely in response to the backlash against it for blackballing Colin Kaepernick for protesting police brutality — and while that has meant progressive moves like tapping Dr. Dre for the Super Bowl Halftime Show in Los Angeles earlier this year, it’s also apparently extending to the league’s new promotional campaigns too.
The campaign, bearing the tagline “It feels good to football,” features fans preparing to enjoy games, juxtaposing imagery of marching bands and snack stands with players in tuxedos dancing and playing piano under spotlights. But just as important as the shots of the pep rally are who all is attending: rappers (and notable football fans) like Lil Wayne, Saweetie, and Pusha T. The promo spot also plays the instrumental from Dr. Dre’s “Still D.R.E.,” giving a nod to this year’s Super Bowl Halftime performer, who brought buddies like 50 Cent, Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, Mary J. Blige, and Snoop Dogg along.
The 2022 NFL Kickoff game starts at 8:20 pm ET on Thursday, September 8, airing on NBC. Fittingly, it’ll take place at SoFi Stadium with the defending champion Rams taking on the Buffalo Bills.

John Legend And Saweetie Surprise Their Co-Stars In The Sweet ‘All She Wanna Do’ Video
John Legend and Saweetie surprise their unwitting co-stars in the absolutely adorable video for their new collaboration “All She Wanna Do.” The third single from John’s upcoming double album Legend, “All She Wanna Do” is about a chance encounter with a potential paramour whose idea of a good time is spent on the dance floor. Accordingly, the video for the song sees a variety of dancers set up for an “audition” for the video, dancing their hearts out on the dressed set.
However, midway through the video, one of the set’s walls comes down to reveal John and/or Saweetie behind each of the dancers, who are floored to see the two celebrities standing there. Each gets to do a solo dance with one of the stars, ranging from salsa to handstand twerking, and all the dancers get to do a group dance with both. At the end of the video, a string of interview clips reveals the impact the opportunity has on the women, who say they enjoyed the camaraderie they forged on set and applaud John Legend for bringing it to life.

John Legend And Saweetie Dance The Night Away On Their New Collab, ‘All She Wanna Do’
John Legend is taking the dancefloor by storm on his latest single, “All She Wanna Do.” Joined by Saweetie, John Legend sings admirably of a woman he meets on a night out. The song opens with a slow piano, as do many of his signature hits, but as the chorus arrives, kickdrums set in, turning the ballad into a sexy, dancefloor banger.
“All she wanna do is dance / All I wanna do is get up on her / Got me in the palm of her hands / All I wanna touch is her nirvana / Feels like I’ve been waitin’ for / Forever and a night to get this chance / But all she wanna do is / All she wanna do is /All she wanna do is dance,” Legend sings on the fiery new dancefloor anthem.
Saweetie joins in with a verse, embracing her glamour and ready to dance with a man who can match her energy.
“First, all I wanna do is get my nails done / Yeah, all I wanna do is spend them big funds / Twerk, twerk all night on your grandson / Little Westside chick out in London,” she raps.
In addition to new music, Legend’s wife, Chrissy Teigen, recently revealed that the two are expecting a third child.
