“Twilight Saga” Stars: Where Are They Now?

Stephanie Meyer’s Twilight books were wildly popular when they were first released. However, when it was brought to life on the big screen, the fantasy romance story became a worldwide phenomenon. As the saga unfolded across five blockbuster movies, many viewers grew to become big fans of the stars of Twilight. As a result, when Breaking Dawn Part 2 was released, fans were faced with the bittersweet feeling of bidding farewell to some of their favorite characters.

Nevertheless, as the saga drew to a close, a new chapter was set to begin for the stars of Twilight. The film series helped launch the careers of its stars, such as Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson. Moreover, they’ve gained several achievements along the way. For all who have wondered, here’s what the stars of the blockbuster saga have been up to since it came to an end in 2012.

Kristen Stewart (Bella Swan)

Without a doubt, Kristen Stewart is one of the biggest stars of the Twilight movie series. The 33-year-old portrayed the story’s central character, Bella Swan, and it was her breakout role. Although her performance in the saga didn’t earn her much praise, over the years, Stewart has garnered critical acclaim. In 2021, she starred in Spencer which earned her an Oscar nomination for Best Lead Actress. She also stars in Love Lies Bleeding, a new A24 film currently getting rave reviews. Stewart has been engaged to screenwriter Dylan Meyer since 2021.

Robert Pattinson (Edward Cullen)

Robert Pattinson has had an interesting career since his time filming Twilight. In the five-part movie series, he portrayed the unforgettable vampire heartthrob, Edward Cullen. Since then, he has been booked and busy and is now an undeniable Hollywood star. He has starred in films almost every year since 2014, with the exception being 2021. He is one of the Twilight stars with the most impressive filmographies. Pattinson has acting credits in The Lighthouse (2019), Tenet (2020), and The Batman (2022), among others. He is set to star in the lead role in Bong Joon-ho’s upcoming sci-fi film Mickey 17. Pattinson is engaged to Suki Waterhouse, and the couple share a child.

Taylor Lautner (Jacob Black)

Before the first Twilight film, Taylor Lautner had only appeared in three movies. His role as Jacob Black in the saga brought him into the limelight. Subsequently, he starred in a handful of movies and TV shows. These include Tracers (2015), Run The Tide (2016), and Cuckoo (2014 – 2018), among a few others. Lautner has not focused much on his acting career, but he seems to be doing well regardless. In November 2022, he married Taylor Dome, and the two have a son together.

Peter Facinelli (Carlisle Cullen)

One of the more experienced stars of Twilight, Peter Facinelli has been acting since 1995. Although he was an already established film star, his role as Carlisle Cullen undoubtedly boosted his popularity. Since the movie series ended, he has been busy, and has extensively grown his catalog. Facinelli has appeared in American Odyssey (2015), Supergirl (2015 – 2016), and 13 Minutes (2021), among many others.

Ashley Greene (Alice Cullen)

Another one of the unforgettable stars of Twilight, Ashley Greene portrayed Alice Cullen. She had only appeared in two movies before Twilight (2008), so this was her breakout role. Over the course of the five movies, she grew in popularity and amassed a sizable fanbase. Afterward, she went on to star in many other films. These include, Wish I Was Here (2014), Accident Man (2018), and Bombshell (2019), among others. She has been married to Australian TV personality Paul Khoury since 2018.

Kellan Lutz (Emmett Cullen)

Like many aforementioned stars of the films, Kellan Lutz’s first big movie role was in Twilight. He portrayed Emmett Cullen, the Cullen family’s physically strongest vampire. Since he rounded up with the series in 2012, Lutz has continued building up his acting career. He has acting credits in Extraction (2015), Guardians of the Tomb (2018), and What Men Want (2019), among others. Lutz married Brittany Gonzales in 2017 and they have two kids together.

Jackson Rathbone (Jasper Hale)

Soon after wrapping up with Twilight in 2012, Jackson Rathbone got married to Sheila Hafsadi in 2013. They have lived together happily since then, and now have three kids. Rathbone has never stopped acting. As a matter of fact, he has starred in at least one film every year since 2013. These include Pali Road (2015), Horseshoe Theory (2017), and Samson (2018). His most recent project was Condor’s Nest (2023), and he is set to appear in an upcoming film titled The Island.

FKA Twigs and Robert Pattinson endured one of the most difficult public relationships in the mid-2010s. Twigs was on a swift rise to fame for her eclectic, acclaimed debut album. Pattinson on the other hand, was already a certified heartthrob, thanks to his role in the Twilight film franchise. Amid the ever-watchful eye of the public, their relationship was marred by Pattinson’s fans, who constantly mocked and disrespected the talented singer and artist.

While the pair strived to make it work, their relationship eventually came to an end after three years. Despite it all, they have found renewed love in other people. Robert Pattinson is currently dating Suki Waterhouse, and the couple are expecting their first child together. Twigs has also found a new love in the brilliant artist, Jordan Hemingway, and is greatly focused on her music. Summer 2014: Blooming Beginnings At An FKA Twigs Concert

The first whispers of a connection between Robert Pattinson and FKA Twigs emerged in the summer of 2014. However, the couple managed to keep their early interactions largely under wraps. According to a source on E! News, Pattinson, alongside his friends Sienna Miller and Tom Sturridge, had attended Twigs’ concert. Miller and Sturridge went ahead as agents of Cupid to set the two up.

The couple began dating in September 2014. Pattinson and FKA Twigs were spotted together as a couple later that year while on a romantic vacation in Miami. They were also seen walking hand-in-hand in Venice, Italy. As the public sightings continued, the pair stood out for their unique fashion sense and distinctive personalities. However, public scrutiny arose, particularly from Pattinson’s fans, and FKA Twigs was subjected to racist hate comments. Unable to escape from the influx of harsh comments, she tweeted: “I am genuinely shocked and disgusted at the amount of racism that has been infecting my account the past week.”

Despite this, the relationship continued to flourish. Early 2015 rolled by and engagement rumors soon surfaced. The speculation remained a rumor until singer and rapper T-Pain mentioned in a Q&A session with Vulture that Twigs was now engaged and would hardly have time for a collaborative project. Although the singer tried to cover up his tracks by calling it an April Fool’s prank, People reported that Robert Pattinson and FKA Twigs were officially engaged. The couple made their red-carpet debut at the 2015 Met Gala with Twigs sporting her engagement ring. The bow-shaped ring featured a 4-carat diamond and was worth approximately $150,000.

May 2016: Breakup Rumors Abuzz

When the couple attended the 2016 Met Gala, the blinding engagement ring was nowhere to be seen on Twigs’ finger and the internet went wild. The rumor mill was working overtime, speculating that the engagement was off and the two had broken up. “The Batman Part II” Will See Robert Pattinson Return To The Big Screen In 2025

Many were initially taken aback by Robert Pattinson landing the lead in the latest reboot of The Batman. Now that they’ve seen what he’s capable of in the suit, though, the world is eagerly awaiting the superhero film’s sequel.

A follow-up to the Matt Reeves-directed project was greenlit last April, and earlier this week, a release date was shared. As Variety reports, the earliest fans can expect to see the Twilight alum back in character alongside Zoë Kravitz as Catwoman will be in late 2025.

The sequel’s synopsis remains under wraps for the time being. However, we do know it’s a part of DC’s new “Elseworlds” category. James Gunn previously announced that any film or television series that doesn’t fall in the main DC Universe will be a part of this realm, similar to their DC Comics section.

Other upcoming projects on the same roster include Joker: Folie à Deux via Todd Phillips. Starring Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga, that movie is expected to arrive on October 4th, 2024. Additionally, there’s the ongoing animated series, Teen Titans Go! and a separate Superman film written by Ta-Nehisi Coates and produced by J.J. Abrams.

The latter of the two first made headlines in 2021 and has remained in active development since. At this time, executives are excitedly awaiting the arrival of a screenplay draft to review.

Pattinson and Reeves plan to continue their work with the DC Elseworlds Batman franchise. However, that doesn’t mean we won’t see someone else conquer the role in the DC Universe. Variety notes that a Batman & Robin movie is on the way for that category. It’s specifically based on “The Brave and Bold” comics.

For his part, the director also has another big project on his mind – Colin Farrell’s Penguin character spinoff series. Earlier this month, Reeves confirmed his plans to meet with Gunn to ensure that the “BatVerse” and the larger DC Universe don’t collide. Instead, he hopes the two stories are able to support each other.

Upon its debut, The Batman grossed $770 million worldwide at the box office. It’s currently available for streaming on HBO Max, or on Crave in Canada.

One of the best things about Cardi B as a public figure and pop star, is she doesn’t resign herself to the remove that so many celebrities adopt once they get famous. Instead, she still acts exactly like a normal person would when they meet someone famous or exciting, and her reactions when these meetings do happen are pretty priceless.
