Rick Ross Discusses Possible Drake Reconciliation

Yung Miami recently hosted Rick Ross on her Caresha Please podcast, getting into a slew of topics around their lives and careers. Unsurprisingly, a big part of this discussion concerned his ongoing beef with former close collaborator Drake, which formed part of 2024’s Kendrick Lamar battle. At one point in the conversation, the Maybach Music Group mogul reflected on why their relationship soured, how he would characterize this development, and whether or not he sees them burying the hatchet one day. Considering how much great material they have together over more than a decade, we knew this question would come up eventually.

“Nah, I’m not going to say it’s business,” Rick Ross answered when Yung Miami asked if the Drake beef was personal or money-oriented. “He mentioned my name and that’s a no-no. Don’t do that. Especially when it ain’t about no real s**t. […] I enjoy that I can wake up every day and say BBL Drizzy or some more s**t while I’m smoking a joint, listening to the waterfalls and all that s**t, looking at the birds fly off. That s**t easy for me, but is everybody built for this? It most definitely could be a real thing.”

Rick Ross Addresses Drake’s Alleged Plastic Surgery On Caresha Please

Then, Yung Miami asked if Rick Ross would ever be down to have a phone call with Drake to settle their differences. After all, she brought up that Rozay mediated the Toronto superstar’s feud with Meek Mill. “I don’t know, it depend on how I feel,” he answered before doubling down on his plastic surgery claims against The Boy. “Me being boss, everybody don’t understand the opportunities they have,” Ross said of how he feels about their falling out. “Some n***as take s**t for granted. I don’t know what it is. Everybody that’s been loyal to me or been down with me, you know that’s something that I extend for the longevity of time.

“I just think when you not really from the streets, and really understand the way certain things work sometimes, you could take s**t for granted,” Rick Ross went on. “Then two months later s**t be looking crazy for you when you really could have just… This s**t just really be a phone call. A lot of this s**t be a misunderstanding. But when you jump out there, I don’t know homie.” They also talked about his fight with Drake fans in Vancouver, with him explaining why he lost and how things could’ve turned out worse for OVO die-hards if he had proper backup.

Rick Ross Reflects On Fight With Drake Fans And Explains Why He Lost

Rick Ross was Yung Miami’s latest guest on the Caresha Please podcast, and they had a whole lot of stuff to discuss. Of course, they couldn’t go long without referencing the massive Drake beef that took place this year, as well as The Biggest Boss’ run-in with OVO die-hards in Canada. For those unaware, a group of Drizzy fans confronted Ross at a Vancouver festival after he played Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us,” resulting in a mini-brawl between the two entourages. The former City Girl asked Rozay about his claim that no one punched him despite footage showing otherwise, and he explained how the altercation could’ve been much worse for his opponents.

“You saw a video of what?” Rick Ross responded to Yung Miami’s question about the alleged sucker punch. “Like I said, Rozay felt like a drink was [thrown]. ‘Cause once I – ‘Get back, p***y n***as!’ That whole s**t cleared up.” He ran away after the punch during this incident in which various of his colleagues got a nasty beating. But the Maybach Music Group mogul elaborated on why this would’ve turned out much differently if he had some more of his usual backup.

Rick Ross On Caresha Please: Watch The Full Episode

The discussion around the Vancouver fight begins at around the 39:40-minute mark.

“All my homies that traveled with me, them n***as couldn’t come in ’cause of their felonies,” Rick Ross stated. “If I would’ve just had two or three more of my homies with me, we would’ve stripped them n***as out their drawers and socks.” He clarified that his assistant and his DJ (whom he called his “little homies”) were the only ones there to accompany and assist him, as well as one security guard.

“We got our paper, we got to the jet and, as a matter of fact, we went and had some Wingstop, so that was light work,” Rick Ross continued. “I ain’t even tripping ’cause like, I told them, ‘Y’all n***as did that like a G. Everybody got to the crib. That’s what it’s about.’ […] We had a conversation. ‘Let’s get back to the money.’ All my homies that usually travel with me, them the n***as that was upset. They was more upset than us.”

Rick Ross Ironically Vibes Out To Drake Collab After His Vancouver Fight With OVO Fans

Drake and Rick Ross’ persistent beef is one of the most surprising and also tragic things to emerge out of the whole Kendrick Lamar battle. After all, the two were once iconic and very frequent collaborators, but their rift has made live performances and concert setlists much tougher to navigate… well, for Rozay, anyway. Drizzy has a whole cavalcade of hits he can play without his rivals, but many highlights in Ross’ discography are with The Boy. So when he played their Wale collab “Diced Pineapples” at a recent festival, fans found this to be pretty ironic and not really something that you could flip into a satirical or ironic attack against the 6ix God.

Furthermore, this follows another recent festival incident for which Drake must have felt quite vindicated in his beef with Rick Ross. When the latter tried to play “Not Like Us” at a Vancouver festival, and was allegedly rude to people chastising him for it, a group of OVO fans attacked the rapper and they got into a scuffle with his crew. It was a viral incident that The Biggest Boss laughed off, but Aubrey surely had much more laughs. Ross continues to take this risk of playing with his name at live performances, but he’s a massive troll, so who’s really shocked?

In fact, this Vancouver incident provided more ammo for Rick Ross’ other opponents like 50 Cent, so he probably regrets the whole thing. Fif clowned Ross onstage during a performance in Canada, asking the crowd why they attacked him and even asking individual concert-goers if they were the ones to lay the smack down. If anyone had responded yes, we’re sure the Queens MC would’ve made a big deal out of it. If the Maybach Music Group mogul is a troll, then his G-Unit enemy is the biggest troll.

Meanwhile, others like Uncle Luke want to see this wrap up already. “This whole fighting with my boy Rick Ross and his guys in Canada, that’s unacceptable,” he remarked. “That [isn’t] supposed to happen. And what’s more unacceptable is when Mr. Drake liked the post. I expect more out of Mr. Drake. When there is violence, you don’t condone it. Drake, you should be bigger than that. You don’t like no posts because here’s what happens: there’s always a backlash to it all.”

Sources Close To Rick Ross Fight Have Alleged Reasons As To Why It Broke Out

There was a “Rumble in the Jungle” so to speak over the weekend in Vancouver, Canada between Rick Ross and Drake fans. The out-of-town nemesis rolled into the Ignite Music Festival with some of his crew, which according to TMZ included DJ Sam Sneak, his manager, some friends, in addition to two bodyguards. At the time of the original report, the reasons as to why the tussle began were fairly murky. The belief was that it was because Ross asked the DJ to spin Kendrick Lamar’s Drake diss record “Not Like Us”. That then got The Boy’s fans riled up, which then led to the heated and intense confrontation that saw Ross’s entourage get beat down.

Well, it turns out that speculation is allegedly true. Sources near the scene cited that, as well as the “Champagne Moments” MC’s disses online. Rick Ross continually antagonized Drake for weeks during the peak of the beef. From calling him BBL Drizzy to “cupcake Drake” and even questioning how Black he really his, Rozay was always in the comments of any social media post that mentioned the Canadian superstar. Even though the latter took a pretty clear-cut L to K-Dot, people back are home are still not going to take any slander from anyone, especially if they are on their turf.

Rick Ross Was The Antagonizer In The Nasty Fight

However, Rozay has clearly been taking this on the chin, even laughing it off. “I thought they were bottle service boys ha! Vancouver was fun, til next time”. Drake is not totally innocent in all of this either, as he liked a post from a Canadian hip-hop news account that poked fun at the fans throwing down with his foe. Additionally, him and Ross’s ex Tia Kemp have been gassing each other up online. It seems like The Boy is telling his enemy, “Two can play at that game”.

What are your thoughts on the reasons the Rick Ross fight ensued? Are you surprised by this alleged truth, why or why not? Do you see this beef between Ross and Drake going further? Do you see the possibility of the two rappers getting into a physical altercation? We would like to hear what you have to say, so leave your thoughts in the comments. Rick Ross Seems Happy & Carefree Following Vancouver Fight With Drake Fans

Rick Ross has a couple of Instagram formulas, one of which is a happy and boisterous message to his followers from a sunny day at his Miami home, usually paired with a promo for one of his liquor brands. He did so recently with his Luc Belaire champagne, and wished some “morning glory” to his fans despite some recent occurrences possibly shifting his mood. However, it seems like Rozay is pretty unbothered by his recent Vancouver, Canada fight with Drake fans after he tried to play Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” at a festival. It prompted some funny reactions from some OVO supporters, but it seems like he’s taking it in stride.

Still, one thing that Rick Ross didn’t appreciate at all was how his ex Tia Kemp was flirting with Drake in his Instagram comments section. “They f***ing his fat a** up,” she had remarked on social media in reaction to the Vancouver brawl. “I’m glad they smacked the s**t out your big a**. It seems like not even beef with the biggest rapper on the planet can distract him from continuing to engage in this nasty back-and-forth with his former partner.

Meanwhile, some fans took a look at Rick Ross’ old lyrics after this scuffle went down, pointing out the irony in some of them. “Like his moves, but he never had a fight in school / Always ran,” he rapped against Drake on “Champagne Moments,” and now he can definitely say that he’s had a fight. While Aubrey obviously didn’t ask for this to happen, it seems like fans clowned the Maybach Music Group mogul for losing the upper hand against his rival’s supporters. But some accounts paint Ross as the instigator, so we don’t know who has the claim to self-defense here.

Elsewhere, Boosie Badazz used this example to double down on his thoughts on rap beef and why he doesn’t want to be in one. “THIS WORLD GO START LISTENING TO MY WORDS ONE DAY SMH #ispeakthetruth,” he wrote on Twitter after Rick Ross’ fight went down. We’ll see what other reactions and developments emerge from the rap world regarding this. Maybe this won’t be the end of the former “Lemon Pepper Freestyle” duo’s saddening rift.

Fans Troll Rick Ross With Old Lyrics After Getting Stomped In Fight With Drake’s “Crew”

People across the internet are letting Rick Ross hear it after a vicious fight with alleged Drake fans. It is quite the bad look, as him and his crew were getting taken out left and right. One member of his entourage was repeatedly kicked and punched into the ground. Another got knocked out cold, and Ross even ate a nasty jab to the face during all of it as well. Drake seemingly appreciated what his fellow Canadians did for him, as he liked a post recapping the night’s event. 50 Cent piled on as well, writing on Instagram, “LMAO 🤣 THE GREAT ESCAPE! MEEKA CALL ☎ THE CHASERS, THEY ARE CHASING ME. 😆 LOL”.

Even his ex Tia Kemp was having lots of fun with it, showing absolutely no remorse. “They f***in’ his fat a** up. I’m glad they smacked the s*** out yo big a**”. However, Rick Ross is doing his best to downplay all of this. “I thought they were bottle service boys ha! Vancouver was fun, til next time”, the MMG label head said via an IG Story. However, his attempt to look tough after the fight is not working because fans are now getting in on the action.

Rick Ross made a feeble attempt to write a substantial diss track while Drake was trading records with Kendrick Lamar. The Mississippi native put out “Champagne Moments” earlier on in the feud and it did not perform well. Additionally, the lyrics and jabs taken were also not that strong and now the track and Ross are getting clowned again. After not doing much during the fight in Vancouver (besides getting socked), fans are trolling him with this bar, “Like his moves, but he never had a fight in school / Always ran“. Even though Ross has done his best to embarrass Drake at every turn, it seems he is the one with egg on his face.

What are your thoughts on fans digging up this lyric from “Champagne Moments” by Rick Ross after the fight? Does this make him look even worse afterwards, why or why not? Does this confirm Drake’s first win in the entire beef? Will Rick Ross recover from this quickly? We would like to hear what you have to say, so leave your thoughts in the comments. Boosie Badazz Has An “I Told You So” Moment After Rick Ross Vs. Drake Fight

Boosie Badazz has let the world know how he feels when it comes to rap beefs. In fact, he has made it abundantly clear, constantly repeating the same mantra. That being that nothing good comes from in it and that they can lead to devastating violence. Perhaps one of the most legendary rants from the Louisiana rapper happened just three months ago surrounding this topic. “EVERYBODY GASSING UP RAP BEEF SMH ALL EXCITED SAYING THIS HIP HOP. WELL EVERYONE N THE CREW NOT GO SEE IT THAT WAY. N WHEN IT POP OFF ‘IT REALLY GOES DOWN. SO WHEN SOMEONE FROM ONE OF THESE CREWS DIE, DONT SAY THEY ST*PID SMH GO SUPPORT THEM N COURT LIKE YALL SUPPORTED THE RAP BEEF”. Well, those words almost were reality for Boosie after Rick Ross and his crew got into a heated fight over the weekend.

It went down at the Ignite Music Festival in Vancouver after DJ Sam Sneak at the event played “Not Like Us”. There are talks that Ross was the one who asked him to play the Drake diss track. That is what supposedly led to the brawl. The former and his crew were beat down pretty ruthlessly, with Sam Sneak allegedly being knocked out cold. On top of that this entire beef has also led to people being shot up outside of Drake’s house earlier this year.

It seems that this fight the other night was the final straw for Boosie Badazz to tell everyone teasing him for his take “I told you so”. He reacted to the news on X (formerly Twitter), saying, “THIS WORLD GO START LISTENING TO MY WORDS ONE DAY SMH #ispeakthetruth”. 50 Cent is another rapper to speak out about the violence, although he was doing it more so to tease Rick Ross about getting pummeled. “LMAO 🤣 THE GREAT ESCAPE! MEEKA CALL ☎ THE CHASERS, THEY ARE CHASING ME. 😆 LOL”, the G-Unit boss wrote on IG.
