Jay-Z & Lil Durk Link Up After Beyonce’s Show In Los Angeles

Lil Durk and Jay-Z were among the avalanche of stars present at Beyonce’s recent “RENAISSANCE” tour stops in Los Angeles. The two rappers might be from different generations, but they were all smiles after the concert in a series of newly surfaced pictures. It seems like everybody had an amazing time at the spectacle, and from what footage and testimonies indicate, it should come as no surprise. What’s more is that it’s probably made more fun for fans, given that they can scope out which big names are around. To top it off, this was after Durkio gave a surprise performance as part of DJ Khaled’s opening set that night.

Of course, when two MCs link up, the first thought in many fans’ minds is what a collaboration between them would sound like if there isn’t one already. In the case of Lil Durk and Jay-Z, their hardened and entrepreneurial approach in the game is quite similar. Sure, Hov and other OGs opened those doors for many artists to aspire to, and the Chicago artist is no exception. That inspiration, though, can yield amazing results, so hopefully it ends up happening down the road.

Lil Durk & Jay-Z Twizz Up Post-Beyonce Show

In a XXL interview, Lil Durk said that Jay-Z inspired him to “build an empire of [his] own.” “S**t, look what he did. Résumé speak for itself. He used to be in this position. He used to be the underdog. The streets used to take him under. And he bossed up, you know what I’m sayin’? You ain’t see him post pictures every day trying to fit in. I seen him at Michael Rubin’s party. He like, ‘Man, you motivate me.’ Man, f***ed me up. I forgot my reply to him, ’cause it was on a walk-by. The reply ain’t make no damn sense ’cause it shocked me. I’m like, ‘What the f**k? Damn, that’s hard.’

“It’s just motivation,” he said when asked how that made him feel. “Everything happens for a reason. It was for a reason I was standing right there when he walked past at the time. You know, it’s probably people that be around him every day or be around Drake every day and wasting time. And they won’t be like, ‘Lemme learn how to engineer. Lemme learn how to shoot videos, lemme learn how to…’ They just want to soak up the air. I’m like, nah, I’m gonna get to it. I’m gonna figure this s**t out for us.” On that note, check back in with HNHH for the latest news and updates on Jay-Z and Lil Durk.

Beyonce Criticized For Not Using Monitors At LA Show, Reportedly Shopping “Renaissance” Film

Beyonce recently brought her “Renaissance” tour to LA for the first time, performing at SoFi Stadium on Friday and Saturday night. The show was opened by DJ Khaled, who also brought a slew of his friends who took the stage. Fans were able to see performances from Coi Leray, Lil Wayne, Wiz Khalifa, 2 Chainz, and more. There were also countless celebrity guests in attendance, like Kris Jenner, Keke Palmer, LeBron James, and Gabrielle Union.

For obvious reasons, the show managed to get a lot of attention. Fans were thrilled to see so many familiar faces embracing the tour aesthetic with their outfit choices. With that being said, she has gotten some pushback for the show, with some attendees noting how she didn’t use most of the monitors at the stadium. This made it more difficult for those in seats far from the stage to see the show, and has left commenters comparing the tour to another major one that recently stopped at SoFi.

Fans Wonder Why Beyonce Didn’t Make Use Of SoFi Monitors

In August, Taylor Swift brought her “Eras” tour to LA, and made full use of the monitors. It’s rumored that Bey didn’t use all the monitors because the stadium charges artists to do so, but that’s unconfirmed. In other “Renaissance” news, recent reports suggest that Beyonce is shopping around a visual film for the album. Above The Line revealed that the “artsy” film was directed by Nadia Lee Cohen.

“It’s a visual album movie, but it’s like an art film, and I’ve also heard it’s better than Black Is King,” a source claims. The outlet also says that the source confirmed the Renaissance film was shown to various studios earlier this year, but nothing ever came of it. “I’m guessing the price and lack of replay value for the casual viewer,” the source explained. “Or maybe Beyoncé didn’t like how it turned out? I don’t know…” Keep an eye on HNHH for more updates on Beyonce.

DJ Khaled Opened Beyoncé’s ‘Renaissance’ Show And Brought 2 Chainz, Lil Wayne, And More Surprise Guests

During Beyoncé’s Renaissance show tonight as the first of her Los Angeles dates at SoFi Stadium, she brought DJ Khaled as a special guest to entertain and energize the crowd before her set even started.

And he too had some surprises in store. During DJ Khaled’s set, he brought out even more famous faces, including 2 Chainz, Wiz Khalifa, Roddy Ricch, Coi Leray, Offset, and Lil Wayne, to perform with him.

DJ Khaled treated the audience to some of his biggest songs, including “All I Do Is Win.” Wiz Khalifa played “Young, Wild, & Free,” as the two sung along to the carefree track.

Later on in the set, Leray performed her hit song, “Players,” which got a boost in popularity through TikTok. (She was also an Uproxx cover star.)

Fans attending Beyoncé’s SoFi Stadium show tomorrow (Sept. 2) will also get a chance to see DJ Khaled as an opening act — possibly with new and/or returning special guests to join him. He had first revealed the news through Instagram.

“I’m telling you now GET THERE AT 7 PM!” DJ Khaled captioned his post from earlier this afternoon. “Trust me! History in the making!”

Check out some more clips from DJ Khaled’s opening set at Beyoncé’s Renaissance Tour below.

Where Is Rideshare At SoFi Stadium For Beyoncé’s ‘Renaissance Tour?’

Beyoncé is bringing her Renaissance Tour to Los Angeles’ SoFi Stadium — and with it, a crowd that will be looking for ways to get home after. For those who are planning on taking a rideshare service like Uber or Lyft once the concert ends, they might be wondering where on the stadium grounds it will be. Thankfully, we have you covered.

Here’s what to know: For getting dropped off, fans will arrive on the northbound curb of Kareem Court — according to SoFi’s website. Then, post-show pickup will happen on Kareem Court and Manchester Boulevard. They also have a helpful map for fans available here.

Fans that are coming out of town and flying into LAX also have the possibility to reserve an Uber that will take them directly to SoFi Stadium. According to Uber’s website, the ride is about twenty minutes for $33 approximately. Find more information on this here.

Beyoncé will be playing for three nights at SoFi, including September 1, 2, and on her birthday, September 4. In honor of Virgo season, the star recently requested that attendees wear silver to imitate a disco ball to all of her concerts through September 22. The remaining tickets and list of more tour dates can be found here.

Where To Park By SoFi Stadium For Beyoncé’s ‘Renaissance Tour’

Beyonce’s Renaissance Tour finally arrived in Los Angeles this week, taking over Inglewood’s SoFi Stadium for three days of chrome-clad cavorting with the singer as the tour nears its end. If you were among those fortunate enough to grab a ticket, congratulations! But if you’ve never been to SoFi — not a big Rams fan, we get it — you might be having some anxiety figuring out where to park, which can be an ordeal at just about any venue, but especially one where over 70,000 fans might show up.

Fortunately, there are a few options to help you out so you can worry less about missing Ms. Knowles-Carter’s grand stage entrance. While SoFi’s own page offers plenty of information, there are a few other options available. If you’ve got the cash on hand, ParkWhiz can help you book a spot, as can ticket resale sites like StubHub and Vivid Seats.

Meanwhile, Inglewood itself offers its own Park & Go service which should save you some money, as the remote lots cost $38.25 each and the shuttle is $8.70 per person for a round trip. The Kia Forum, which is conveniently (or inconveniently, if you live in Inglewood or need to drive through on a double-event day) located near SoFi, also has parking for the shows, although you’ll end up doing some walking — wear comfy shoes.

Beyond that, LA Metro is a decent way to get around (from personal experience), with a regular ride only costing $1.75 and recently introduced fare capping allowing you to ride for free after three rides when you pay with a TAP Card. And, of course, there’s always Lyft and Uber, but remember that traffic is going to be hectic and fares will probably see enormous surge pricing increases (plus, there’s the whole “not a lot of drivers actually want to pickup/dropoff in Inglewood due to the insane traffic” thing). Good luck and enjoy the show!

Beyoncé Will Be Named An Honorary Mayor Of Santa Clara And Receive The Key To The City

Beyoncé truly has done it all. She’s a record-breaking star. And now, she’s adding becoming the honorary mayor of Santa Clara, California to her list of achievements.

As she brings her massive Renaissance Tour to the city later this week, Santa Clara is welcoming her presence by letting her take over. Because of this, she will also receive a special key to the city.

“Well Amakai Japanese Cuisine was here last time Beyoncé was out, and she brought great crowds,” Cindy Shen, a local business owner, told Fox 2 KTVU. “[Also,] It’s not just Amakai Japanese Sushi. It’s for everybody in this plaza and everyone on the other side as well. Beyoncé will bring crowds from everywhere; from Sacramento, Southern California. You name it. They’re coming from everywhere.”

Additionally, public transportation service for the city will be increased by 30% to accommodate the influx of concertgoers that will be traveling both to and from the show. “We urge people to just have patience,” Santa Clara Valley’s transportation authority spokesperson Stacey Hendler Ross also told the news outlet. “They’re going to be a lot more crowded than they normally are starting around 4:30 or 5 o’clock in the afternoon.”

Her show this week also marks a significant moment for the pop star to become the honorary mayor, as it will be her fifth time performing at Levi’s Stadium.

Beyonce Shares Tour Photo Dump From Las Vegas

Beyonce’s Renaissance tour has gotten everyone’s attention all summer. One of the elements that is pulling so many people in is her immaculate stage presence. The detailed choreography of Bey and her backup dancers, and of daughter Blue Ivy, has been dazzling fans in attendance throughout the tour. It’s also attracted the attention of dozens of other celebrities. Almost every show has numerous celebs in attendance looking to be thrilled by Bey’s electric performances.

Another element that draws fans in is Beyonce’s outfits. She has continued to evolve her fashion and presentation with almost every new show. She’s also been sharing some fashion updates with fans through Instagram throughout the tour. She’s once again seen fit to give fans a fit check after a recent Las Vegas show. This time it was to show off a silver metallic looking body suit with a red dress draped over it. She’s also sporting a dark mask over her eyes and in later pics a sleek silver hat as well. Fans in the comments maintained their excitement. “Bruh it really does cost a billion to look this good! I know that styling team be stressed tf out! Cuz bey snaps every night!” reads one of the top comments on the post.

Beyonce recently took to Instagram to explain to fans how she wanted to celebrate Virgo season. Beyonce Fans Are Selling Out Stores For “Renaissance” Tour Outfits

Last week, Beyonce celebrated the start of Virgo season with a request for her fans. “Virgo season is upon us. This tour has been such a joy and as we approach the last month, my birthday wish is to celebrate with you wearing your most fabulous silver fashions to the shows 8.23-9.22,” she posted to her Instagram story. The singer doesn’t make direct statements or requests to fans often so when she did they were quick to listen. “We’ll surround ourselves in a shimmering human disco ball each night. Everybody mirroring each other’s joy. Virgo season together in the house of chrome. See you there,” she concluded her statement.

But in a rush to find “silver fashions” in time for the shows, Beyonce fans have been scrambling. For those with plans to attend shows that happened soon after Bey’s announcement, they had to make some quick shifts to previously planned outfits or decide to just not listen to her request entirely. For fans that did decide to switch up their outfits, one place they looked was Etsy. According to Page Six, many relevant Etsy sellers are finding a massive increase in sales since the announcement.

Beyonce Fans Rush To Find New Outfits

It’s no surprise that Beyonce and the Renaissance Tour have such massive pull. She’s broken a number of touring records across the European and North American legs of the tour. Across the month of July, she broke the record for highest total tour gross in a single month. Her $127 million gross broke a record previously held by Bad Bunny when he racked up $123 million from touring in a single month.

That announcement came just a few weeks after confirmation that she had broken another record. With a show at MetLife stadium Bey managed to generate $16.5 million, making it the highest-grossing show by a female solo act. What do you think of Beyonce fans selling Etsy stores out of their silver fashion? Let us know in the comment section below.
