Instead, he sets the tone and leaves his enemies begging for a way out. The same can be said of Kendrick Lamar, who also just went toe-to-toe with Drake.

Recently, Pusha T and No Malice sat down with Craig Jenkins of Vulture. During this interview, Clipse spoke about their upcoming album, while also divulging on some of hip-hop’s biggest topics. In fact, at the end of the interview, Jenkins snuck in a question about Kendrick’s line on “Euphoria” where he raps: “let me see you push a T.” As you can imagine, Push displayed lots of admiration for Kendrick, saying “Incredible. Incredible display. Incredible display of battle raps. Listen man, Kendrick …”

No Malice followed this up by saying, “it was a master class.” These responses should come as no surprise. 2024 has been one amazing year for hip-hop. In fact, it may go down as one of the more memorable 12 months the genre has ever seen. A big factor in that determination is thanks to Drake and Kendrick Lamar’s insane battle. It lived up to expectations and then some, as we got some iconic diss tracks and moments as a result of it. Most of them came from Kung Fu Kenny, with “Not Like Us” becoming the fan favorite and the nail in the proverbial Drake coffin. The record has also been extremely dominant on the charts, making history every other day it seems. It is just one reason as to why Terrance “Gangsta” Williams admitted that his boy, The Boy, took the loss in their battle for the ages.

The half-brother of Birdman joined Vlad on Vlad TV for an exclusive interview recently, as the viral subject came up. During their conversation, Terrance admitted that Drake also cost himself a chance at going out with a bang. He felt very strongly about the lack of staying power that “The Heart Part 6” had. In fact, the Cash Money label affiliate deemed the final song in the back-and-forth affair “soft”.

Mac Lethal Calls Tom MacDonald A “Nazi” In Scathing New Diss Track

Mac Lethal is an artist and radio host who has never shied away from going at those who come for him first. Overall, he stands his ground, and you have to appreciate that quality in an MC. In fact, Lethal has found himself at odds with Canadian MAGA rapper, Tom MacDonald. MacDonald is known for his political songs in which he attempts to dismantle the concept of “wokeness,” all while spitting some of the cringiest bars put on record. He’s been known to diss other artists, particularly those who may disagree with him ideologically.

Well, Mac Lethal has had enough. Just a couple of days ago, he came through and dropped off a new song called “Tom MacDonald Is A Nazi.” This track is over seven minutes in length and is broken up in two parts. In the first part, he takes aim at McDonald’s ideological views and even has some strong words for the rapper’s girlfriend. There are references to Roc-A-Fella and Russell Simmons, although they’re a bit too NSFW to repeat. Meanwhile, the second part is more of an ideological takedown of MacDonald.

Mac Lethal Responds To Tom MacDonald

At the end of the track, Mac Lethal invokes Kendrick Lamar’s warning on the song “Euphoria.” “Maybe your best course/Would be to tread lightly,” Lethal says. Given MacDonald’s antagonistic nature, it would not be a surprise if he comes through with a response. With a presidential election on the horizon, it wouldn’t be surprising to see MacDonald keep up the provocation. As for Mac Lethal, only time will tell whether or not he will have to spring back into action.

Rap beef is apparently still the prevailing narrative of 2024’s hip-hop, as saddening and frustrating that reality can be for advocates of peace and love. Moreover, the latest example of tension in the game is among the most random, one-sided (so far), and seemingly unprompted yet, as it relates to two femcees who haven’t really gotten into it before. Azealia Banks went on a pretty scathing rant against Doja Cat recently on Instagram Live, sending out threats and warning shots over her talent, style, and more. Of course, this isn’t the first time that Banks has taken aim at Doja, but it might be the most overtly combative example so far.

“Doja, I know you hear me calling you, Miss Honey,” Azealia Banks’ Instagram Live rant against Doja Cat began. “I’m really about to f***ing, like, rip your top off. ‘Cause you, you be hiding behind that little white girl s**t. Like, that little white girl s**t. But honey, I got the biggest white d**k in America. Like, get ready. Get f***ing ready. You might want to put that wig back on ’cause when I snatch you from the peas, honey, when I get the peas in the kitchen, it’s gon’ be a wrap. ‘Cause you can’t rap. Can’t rap! I don’t know why Dr. Luke told you you could f***ing rap.”

Azealia Banks Disses Doja Cat: Listen

Meanwhile, these are some other comments Azealia Banks had made about Doja Cat as of late. “Doja makes music for ten year olds and is very derivative,” she remarked in September of 2022. “Cute girl, but her attempts at witty east coast Roman reloaded flows are pitiful and not in the least amusing. And yes she looked terrible before she lost weight. Cut azealia & doja are miles more culturally important than any of these weak a** white socialites.”

“Dojacat deserved a Grammy,” Azealia Banks actually said in defense of Doja Cat (before turning it around) that month. “It’s def the Dr. Luke politic. But tbh the nerve of doja to try and check me via text about body shaming cupcakKe (who threatened to shoot sukihana’s three children in the head and also called me a skinny crackhead before I even knew what a cupcakKe was) when doja works for an entire rapist. Maybe that’s the karma she gets for trying to get smart with her mother (me) and not staying in a child’s place. Hmmmph.”

Drake’s “Wah Gwan Delilah” & J. Cole’s “Grippy” Features Have Fans Crowning Kendrick Lamar As The “Boogeyman”

Drake and J. Cole are two artists who are currently finding themselves at the center of widespread criticism. Overall, they were both part of the Kendrick Lamar beef which took place between the end of March and the beginning of May. When it comes to J. Cole, he was dissed on “Like That” and eventually came through with his own response on the album Might Delete Later. However, he ultimately deleted his song “7 Minute Drill,” noting the Kendrick beef was weighing on his spirit.

As for Drake, he put up a valiant effort with “Push Ups” and “Family Matters.” Although based on Kendrick’s output, it was clear that Lamar was the victor. In the weeks that have followed the beef, both Cole and Drake have put out questionable features. The first of which was Cole on the Cash Cobain track “Grippy.” Cole did not sound like himself, and the cringe lyrics had fans shocked. Subsequently, last night, Drake gave us a feature on the parody song “Wah Gwan Delilah” by Toronto comedian, Snowd4y.

With both of these features out in the ether, fans are officially declaring Kendrick Lamar as the “boogeyman.” In the tweets below, you will see that fans think these poor features are a confirmation that Kendrick is in their heads. They believe that somehow beefing with the man has led to an extreme fall-off for both artists. While this could be true, one has to consider that Cole and Drake just want to have a bit of fun. Cash Cobain has a cool sound, and Cole probably just wanted to experiment. Meanwhile, Drake is always trolling and as a Toronto-native, the recent cover feature isn’t that shocking. Cardi B Claims BIA Threatened To Release Alleged Evidence Of Her Cheating On Offset

Cardi B’s heated Instagram Live over the weekend concerning her beef with BIA shocked viewers with her controversial claims to sue the Massachusetts rapper. Moreover, this is because she allegedly spread rumors that Bardi cheated on Offset, which the Bronx MC staunchly denied and called her rival out for supposedly trying to insinuate this. Not only that, but the “Bongos” spitter even claimed that the REALLY HER creative threatened to release alleged video evidence of her cheating on the former Migos member. This comes from a producer allegedly close to ‘Set, who said that they haven’t seen the video but that BIA threatened to release it if Cardi responds to her diss track.

This diss, “SUE MEEE?,” ended up including the cheating allegations anyway, and folks are debating whether suing someone over rap beef is “hip-hop.” No matter where you fall on that discussion, Cardi B denied any and all allegations, whether they relate to the cheating accusations or the existence of video evidence. This is certainly nasty territory to quickly get into when it comes to this feud. It’s expected and not all that surprising when looking at past rap beef, but it’s also a pretty steep ramp-up from the style-biting accusations that preceded it.

Cardi B Speaks On BIA’s Claims About Proof That Cardi Cheated On Offset

“Something ain’t adding up,” Cardi B said during this Instagram Live session. “So you was going around telling people that is close to my n***a that I’m f***ing on n***as. I thought that it was somebody trying to be messy, trying to start some s**t between me and you. But now that I see the fake diss record that you trying to put out, that was you all along. I will get every little f***ing red penny that you ever f***ing make, b***h. Every money that you make off your publishing. So find something safe to do.”

Meanwhile, BIA mocked Cardi B’s original subliminal disses on the “Wanna Be” remix with Megan Thee Stallion and GloRilla. It’s clear that the hidden shots prompted some returning fire, and with so much rap beef already happening in 2024, the two femcees have homework to do. Hopefully this feud stays completely on wax and doesn’t complicate or escalate itself in the personal realm in a dangerous way. Maybe that’s just a naive expectation on our behalf, but we don’t always have to ignore the standard.

Towards the end of Cardi’s song-opening verse, she raps, “Guess I’m a teacher since you wanna sub me / She did what? Had no idea / Thought she was on the shelf, Ikea / Hope she talk like that when I see her / B*tch, please, don’t nobody wanna be ya.”

The beef between Cardi and BIA seemingly started earlier this year, after Cardi released “Like What (Freestyle).” The song samples Missy Elliott’s 1999 single “She’s A B*tch,” as does BIA’s 2023 song “Fallback.” Some online pointed out the similarity and BIA subtly stoked the flames by acknowledging it. Shortly after, Cardi tweeted, “B*tches make a fool of themselves every single time [crying laughing emoji].. ima show ya something when I release this song tho.”

As for what Cardi’s saying on the “Wanna Be” remix, the line about being “on the shelf” is seemingly a dig at BIA’s relative lack of chart success despite having been active as a rapper for over a decade, with three singles hitting the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Also, when Cardi says “don’t nobody wanna be ya,” it would appear that “be ya” is meant to be a reference to BIA.

T-Pain Responds To Backlash After Dancing To Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us”

In this video, the artist could be seen dancing along to Kendrick Lamar’s most recent Drake diss, “Not Like Us.”

At the end of the day, the song is incredibly catchy and it’s impossible not to get caught up in the moment while listening to it. However, some Drake fans apparently got upset with Pain’s dance. There was some backlash online, and in the end, the artist was forced to comment on it. In the tweet below, T-Pain noted that he wishes people wouldn’t let rap beef consume them.
