Nicki Minaj Drops A Limited Collection Of ‘Queen Radio’ Merch On Amazon Ahead Of The Show’s Return
Thursday nights leading into midnight are always exciting due to new music, but this is an especially captivating release night eve as Nicki Minaj will be bringing back her memorable talk show Queen Radio. To celebrate this moment, she has launched a limited collection of Queen Radio merchandise that is available for purchase now via Amazon.
The unisex collection includes a black t-shirt for $35 and a black hoodie for $60, both of which feature illustrations of “Barbie” herself laced with pink hair and a dash of turquoise. Those looking to show their allegiance to the Barb Hive can buy the merchandise here and also here while supplies last.
This isn’t just any normal return for the Queen artist, as Queen Radio will be leaving its old stomping grounds at Apple and debut on Amazon’s Amp app, which Nicki revealed back in March. On Thursday, August 11 at 7 p.m. PT, Nicki Minaj’s Queen Radio will make its official comeback on Amp, the brand-new live radio app from Amazon. Through the app, fans will be able to listen to Nicki live and ring in to ask her questions and engage in direct conversation.
Fans can buy exclusive merchandise from the Amazon Music Merch Shop to mark the launch of Queen Radio on Amp, including a sweatshirt and t-shirt for the show that can be ordered from www.amazon.com/queenradio and the Amazon Music app.
Nicki has been building anticipation for the debut over the past two weeks by holding unexpected pop-up events on the app where she has interacted with fans, discussed her forthcoming single due out on August 12, and revealed details about her impending documentary. Thousands of Barbz flocked to the app to listen to the show as soon as Nicki appeared on Amp last week. It’s been almost three years since Nicki Minaj released an episode of Queen Radio. The platform, which Nicki has used to promote her music and share announcements in addition to some other controversial moments, has not held an episode since 2019. That same year, she promised that Queen Radio would make a return alongside the release of her single “Megatron.” While “Megatron” was released on time, there was no episode of Queen Radio. Now, at long last, it’s coming back.
On April 8, Queen Radio will make its return, though it won’t do so on Apple Music’s radio platform, where it was previously housed. Instead, it will make its return on Amp, a new app from Amazon. Through Amp, listeners will be able to enjoy music and commentary from Nicki and even call in to speak with her — if she decides to allow them to. They can also share the tracks that they’re enjoying. Amp has access to tens of millions of songs from Universal Music Group artists, while other names like Big Boi, Tinashe, and Pusha T will also host shows on the platform.
