Sexyy Red Announces New Project “Hood Hottest Princess” Ft. Nicki Minaj, Juicy J & More

Sexyy Red took the world by storm with her viral performance of “Pound Town” with BoxedIn. The organic success of the clip earned co-signs across the board from City Girls, Cardi B, and plenty of others. However, it was Nicki Minaj who officially took the song to the Billboard Hot 100 after jumping on the remix. The momentum is high for Sexyy Red and it appears that she’s only getting started. With a massive co-sign from Nicki, it seems like there’s no better time than now to unveil a new project.

This week, Sexyy Red hit the ‘Gram where she formally announced her upcoming EP, Hood Hottest Princess. The St. Louis-bred artist’s forthcoming body of work will undoubtedly set the tone for what could be a fruitful year for her. Hood Hottest Princess will arrive in its entirety on Friday, June 9th. We could imagine that Sexyy Red’s latest project will have the summer on lock, especially since she’s bringing some heavy-hitting features along with her.

Sexyy Red Hood Hottest Princess Drops Friday

Although the original version of “Pound Town” won’t appear on the tracklist, the Nicki Minaj and Tay Keith-assisted “Pound Town 2” will appear on the project – an impressive fear for anyone’s debut EP. Additionally, she’ll be bringing along Juicy J, who appears on “Strictly For The Strippers” and Sukihana, who featured on “Born By The River.” Hood Hottest Princess will also include “Female Gucci Mane,” which arrived back in April. The tracklist consists of 10 songs in total.

Following the debut of “Pound Town 2,” Nicki and Sexyy Red sat down for an Instagram Live where the Queen rapper provided some encouraging words. “This is only the f***ing beginning for her,” Nicki said. “This is what I told her: yo, people like you. People like what you have to say, they like your sound. So, make sure a whole bunch of people aren’t coming around trying to help you do this and help you do that. Because mothaf**kas really want to hear that raw sh*t, you know what I’m sayin’? Tokyo Toni Writes A “Pound Town 2” Verse On IG Live: Watch

2023 has seen no shortage of salacious music from our favourite female rap stars. Perhaps one of the wildest we’ve heard so far is Sexyy Red’s “Pound Town.” The rising star didn’t hold back when writing bars like “I’m out of town, thuggin’ with my rounds / My coochie pink, my booty hole brown.” The original track was so scandalous that even Nicki Minaj was almost hesitant to hop on the remix. However, the mother of one decided to push her own boundaries. This led the duo to drop off “Pound Town 2” at the end of May.

For her part, the Queen of Rap came in with clever rhymes like, “Ayy, yo, Red, my name is Pink, I made him go get that ink / Let him eat that pretty p*ssy, now he keep trying to link.” She only gets nastier as the song continues, ending her verse with “I be twerkin’ on that d*ck, plus, I’m slurpin’ every drip / When I’m ridin’, choke his neck, or missionary, doin’ splits.” Since it dropped, the NSFW collab has gotten plenty of praise from fellow lyricists and fans. Among those hyping it up is Tokyo Toni, who’s even been penning a verse of her own.

While going Live on IG recently, Blac Chyna’s mom was clearly feeling herself while penning her contribution to the song. She didn’t give away any of what she’s put together so far. Nevertheless, by the way she was singing along to Red’s lyrics, it’s obvious that she’s had it in constant rotation this past week. Sexyy Red Reacts To Heartwarming Message From Nicki Minaj After “Pound Town 2” Collab

If there’s one thing Nicki Minaj is always gonna do, it’s show support for an up-and-coming artist she believes in. We saw this recently with her “Princess Diana (Remix)” collaboration with Ice Spice, but that’s not the only verse the Queen of Rap was willing to hand out this spring. This New Music Friday (May 26), she joined Sexyy Red and Tay Keith for “Pound Town 2,” which features some of Minaj’s most salacious bars in recent memory.

After allowing the response to the single to die down, Sexyy Red reposted an adorable message from the mother of one on her Instagram. “Barbz!!! Omggggg!!!! I’m so excited about this dope new collaboration. I ain’t get this ratchet in a minute chile!!! ENJOY!!!!!!” Minaj began. “I met with Sexyy Red and found her to be so down to earth and sweet. Sexyy Red is quickly showing herself to be a promising newcomer. Over the past few months, she’s collaborated with the likes of Summer Walker, NLE Choppa, and Kali. Plus, she’s also gone viral some singles of her own, including “Pound Town.”

While the lyrics “I’m out of town, thuggin’ with my rounds / My coochie pink, my booty-hole brown” might make someone clutch their pearls, the remix of the Tay Keith-produced track takes things to another level.

On the remix, titled “Pound Town 2,” Red and Keith enlist Nicki Minaj, who gives the song even more x-rated flair.
