It has been a while since Post Malone has given listeners new music. Fortunately, if you’ve had a hankering for some new Posty, there’s good news: The Texas-bred multigenre artist has announced just when his new single, “Chemical,” is coming. You won’t have to wait long; the new single drops on Friday, according to a post (ahem) featuring a snippet of the upbeat, new wave-ish song playing as Post himself rocks out and enjoys a can of his favorite beer (no shoes were involved this time). He looks like he’s having the time of his life.
Post Malone is a man of many talents.. and now he’s designing his own Raising Cane’s restaurant!
It’s always full circle when an artist can go back and do dope things in their hometown, and Post Malone does exactly that. The “White Iverson” recording artist has designed his own, one-of-a-kind Raising Cane’s joint in Utah where he currently resides, making it all pink and Post Malone-themed. They even deem it a “complete visual restaurant takeover.”
Post Malone’s designs will be featured everywhere from the parking to the bathrooms inside the building, to even the packaging that the chicken tenders will be served in. Their typically exterior brick design has been replaced with a 360 pink wrap, decorated with pictures of Post Malone’s tattoos and a stainless steel ‘1’ tower. Showcasing his love for cars as well, a Classic 1974 Ford F250 with a custom license plate sits outside as a permanent fixture.
Inside the restaurant will be endless decor that reflects Post Malone’s style, as well as outfits he’s worn and some of his personal guitars. The restrooms will be medieval-themed, showcasing Post Malone’s genuine interest in medieval armor.
Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers is an American fast-food restaurant chain that only serves chicken fingers, originally founded in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. But with this new location, it’ll definitely draw in more than just chicken lovers — undoubtedly set to attract some of Post Malone’s die-hard fans.
Food-lovers will have the opportunity to order Post Malone’s favorite meal from Raising Cane’s: four chicken fingers, crinkle-cut fries, two Cane’s sauces, and two Texas toasts, served with a half unsweetened tea/half lemonade in a collector’s cup. Additionally, if you order the “Posty Way,” you’ll receive Post Malone-themed packaging, napkins, and even a surprise sticker!
Located at 890 For Union Blvd. in Midvale, the exciting new restaurant will open its doors this coming Thursday, April 13th.
Post Malone is a mastermind in the studio, but the crooner also lends his creativity to a variety of endeavors. In 2018, he partnered with Cros for a limited edition clog. His merch store has also been praised for its quality shirts, hoodies, and other memorabilia. Now, the “White Iverson” singer is taking his talents to Raising Cane’s.
Per TMZ, when Malone moved into his Utah home just outside Salt Lake City, he asked a friend and Cane’s founder Todd Graves for a location nearby. Now, years later, Graves has made this a reality. The 27-year-old offered to design the entire building. Customers will feel Malone’s eccentric touch in the dining room, the exterior, the landscaping, and even the bathrooms. The building is wrapped entirely in pink with a tall brushed stainless steel “1” tower in front. Malone developed each restroom to mimic a medieval castle. Additionally, he customized a classic 1974 Ford F250 as a permanent statute for the front of the building.
Post Malone Has Always Supported Raising Cane’s
That highly praised merch from his website will also have a presence inside the Canes. A pink vending machine fully stocked with Post Malone t-shirts, cups, socks, and more will be functional. As if the new restaurant couldn’t be more of a tourist attraction, a meal created by the Grammy nominee will also be on the menu. Canes will introduce its Caniac Box, the “Posty Way.” As an avid orderer of this box, Malone has added his spin. Patrons will now get four chicken fingers, crinkle-cut fries, two Cane’s sauces, two slices of Texas toast, extra salt and pepper packets, and an unsweet tea/lemonade mix. For a limited time, all “Posty Way” orders will come with a decal sticker and collector’s cup.
Malone has kept a relatively low profile since last year. In June 2022, his team accused his label of delaying his album. Once “Twelve Carat Toothache” dropped that same month, they were still unsatisfied. Fans and those close to Malone claim Republic Records failed to promote the project properly. Given these circumstances, it’s great to see Malone still creating in some capacity.
Post Malone and Raising Cane’s founder Todd Graves have a spicy new collab coming to fans in Utah. This Thursday (April 13), a special Cane’s store designed by Post himself will open in Midvale, Utah.
Post, who recently moved to Utah, insisted to Graves that he build a location near his new home. He also asked if he could be the one to design it.
Per Post’s request, a Cane’s store in Midvale recently underwent a renovation, which entails a newly redesigned dining room, landscaping, and exterior. The storefront boasts an all-pink exterior, with prints of his face and tattoos. On the inside will be solid pink flooring, as well as window wraps to create a glow during nighttime hours. Some of Post Malone’s iconic outfits will be on display on the walls.
“I have the best childhood memories of eating at Raising Cane’s in Dallas,” said Malone in a statement. “Collaborating with Todd on this restaurant near my house in Utah was awesome and I can’t wait for everyone to order their meal the ‘Posty Way.’”
Ordering the Posty Way will get customers chicken fingers, crinkle-cut fries, two Cane’s sauces, two Texas toasts, and a special collector’s cup filled with unsweet tea and lemonade.
In addition to chicken fingers, customers will also be able to purchase fan merch through a vending machine on site. This special vending machine will offer t-shirts, beanies, socks, ping pong balls, magnets, keychains, steel cups, and guitar picks.
“Post and I not only have a special friendship, but we are fans of each other’s brand, and we are excited to reveal this Post Malone designed Raising Cane’s,” said Graves. “This collaboration goes above and beyond to combine Post’s legendary vision with our award-winning Chicken Fingers. It’s over the top – something the restaurant industry has never seen to this level.”
Post Malone’s private life has fans pondering if he’s in a relationship, has a wife, or cruising solo. Though in a world as scandalous as Hollywood is, living under the radar works out for megastars like Post Malone. His social media feeds are starting to appear abandoned by photos from his performances filling up the layout. His 30+ million followers on social media don’t give the impression that they are bothered by his habitual casualness. However, fans should have deciphered the tiny messages about his personal life.
Last year, Posty mentioned a mysterious longtime partner who was carrying his child. “Yeah, I want to let her make her own decisions,” the rapper stated. “She’s my fiancée.” During the interview, Malone gushed about the monumental chapter in his life. The rapper couldn’t contain his happiness after seeing his daughter for the first time. He explained, “I’m the happiest I’ve ever been, and for as I could remember, I was sad. Time to take care of my bod,y and my family and friends, and spread as much [happiness] as we can every day.”
Post Malone’s Brief Relationship Timeline
Hard on the heels of his blowout success in 2014, Post Malone’s relationship status was a hot topic for a while. Then light shined on his relationship with Ashlen Diaz, whom he dated for a few years. However, their relationship had problems due to Malone’s busy schedule. Later, they sparked rumors about breaking up. In 2016, during his interview with The Breakfast Club, he confirmed the gossip. He said, “It’s tough having a balance, between dedicating my life to music and dedicating time for Ashley.” Post continued, “It’s tough because you want to get into the studio, you want to do as good music.” Malone ended with, “Sometimes you’re real busy.”
In 2019, his relationship with model Kano Shimpo was a short fling of three months. Their relationship, however, was under wraps during that time. But in 2020, Post Malone got into a sizzling romance with Korean singer MLMA. They were linked at events and seen publicly. They further appeared in photos of studio sessions and videos on social media. However, their relationship seemed to fizzle.
Who Is Post Malone’s Mysterious Girlfriend Jamie
At one time in 2020, some fans made it their responsibility to crack Post Malone’s private façade. Soon, they found information about a woman assumed to be Jamie, who was seen in a photo posted to Instagram. The account shared a picture of the alleged couple together at the airport, where the rapper was welcomed by fans. Another spotting occurred a year later when fans blew up a snapshot of the couple shopping in Los Angeles.
In August 2021, the “Congratulations” singer and Jamie had fans wondering about the seriousness of their relationship. It was further rumored that the pair were invited to his cousin’s wedding in New York. The couple looked jazzy and coordinated, with Post Malone rocking a black ensemble and Jamie’s elegant white dress. Additionally, Posty and his lady friend were spotted again in October 2021. The couple was seen with many friends at the Magic: The Gathering Cards event in Phoenix.
Post Malone Welcomes His Child To The World
Full speed to 2022, Post Malone welcomes the arrival of his daughter. PEOPLE magazine reported he and his fiancée were proud parents, although Malone hasn’t named his soon-to-be bride publicly. In an interview with Howard Stern, the rapper spoke about his first interactions with his little girl. “I woke up at 2:30 in the afternoon. I went and I kissed my baby girl,” said Post. Stern replied, “Baby girl — are you referring to your girlfriend? Or, you have a baby?” The singer said, “No, that’s my daughter.” Throughout the interview, the rapper eventually the status of his relationship with Jamie. He said, “She’s my fiancée,” without expanding further on more details. Fans are left wondering if he plans to marry her soon or instead if he has already eloped. Post Malone has officially settled the lawsuit over his song “Circles,” just as it was supposed to go to trial yesterday (March 21). Back in 2019, another musician, Tyler Armes, claimed that he wrote most of the No. 1 hit, including the melody. However, he was only offered five percent in publishing royalties, per The Guardian.
“I was beside him giving input – I was not just someone hanging out in the room,” Armes said. He also added that any negotiations for a higher rate were disregarded by Malone’s manager and team.
The following year, he officially sued the rapper, noting that he wanted proper credit as a co-writer and to receive past and future royalties. Malone wound up countersuing.
“It is an age-old story in the music business that when a song earns the type of runaway success that ‘Circles’ has garnered, an individual will come out of the woodwork, falsely claim to take credit for the song, and demand unwarranted and unearned windfall profits from the song,” Malone’s filing said.
The last development in the case found Judge Otis D. Wright refusing to dismiss the case last year, citing that a jury might be able to find that Armes “shared equal control in the session, making nonhierarchical contributions to a unitary whole.”
Official terms of Malone and Armes’ settlement are undisclosed at this moment.
The latest iteration of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles has arrived. The official teaser for their new film starring hip-hop icon Ice Cube and soundtracked by A Tribe Called Quest dropped on March 6. Post Malone burst onto the music scene with the 2015 hit single White Iverson. The song peaked at number 14 on the US Billboard Hot 100, cementing Malone, also known as Austin Post, as a performer to keep an eye on.
He’s now up to four studio albums with the recent release of Twelve Carat Toothache. The hip-hop artist has certainly had his ups and downs and he’s been a bit of a controversial music figure. However, his staying power and popularity are undeniable.
He’ll never make the lyrically raw music of someone like Kendrick Lamar, but Malone has found a lane that works for him and is cruising in it beautifully.
Stoney: Post Malone’s rockystart
Stoney, the first studio album for Malone, is admittedly a bit of an inauspicious start to his music career. There are certainly good tracks on it, like Congratulations, Go Flex, I Fall Apart and others. However, it’s a very hit or miss album.
While White Iverson arguably got the music world’s attention, it’s not a particularly great song. It’s not the best on this album, and his later albums have even more superior tracks.
The Stoney era is also an interesting one for Post Malone’s overall career. He’s often found himself in the middle of pop music and hip-hop, without a clear place in either.
Now, he’s comfortable doing his own thing. In the past, particularly in the Stoney era, he tried to be what he wasn’t. There was a time in Malone’s career when he appeared to be leeching off of hip-hop and just riffing on what popular hip-hop artists did.
He was trying to sound like them, write like them and more or less be them. That’s not who he is and it resulted in a lackluster album that largely serves as a reminder for how far he’s come.
Stoney isn’t an awful album. There’s plenty to like, but there’s also a lot to ignore. For a debut album, that isn’t a major surprise, but it does firmly make this his worst album to date.
Beerbongs & Bentleys: Perhaps there’s more to Malone
With Beerbongs & Bentleys, Post Malone began to shed the label that had followed him around for Stoney. He began to make his own music and stopped worrying about being someone else.
There are still a few misses on this album, such as Candy Paint, Same B*****s or Zack and Codeine. It’s also probably too long, which is ultimately a product of the streaming era.
Still, some of the tracks on this album hold up among his best work, even almost five years later. Otherside is tremendous. Spoil My Night has perhaps Malone’s most iconic lyric delivery and a nice Swae Lee feature. Sugar Wraith, while admittedly a bit self-indulgent, is an absolute hit.
When looking back at his albums in order, it’s easy to see a lot of growth. That’s evident from Stoney to Beerbongs. Naturally, he kept growing and kept getting better, but this is a good album nonetheless.
Twelve Carat Toothache: This is who Post Malone is
Malone’s fourth studio album Twelve Carat Toothache debuted in 2022 and comes in just shy of the top spot in this list. It can certainly be argued that it’s his best work yet, too. It feels the most Post Malone of any album he’s put out yet.
Even with two bonus tracks, it’s shorter than his other albums. Finally, he shed the idea that more is better and stripped the album down to its best parts. Some of those parts, like Euthanasia or Waiting for a Miracle are pretty rough listens.
However, for the most part, the rest of the tracklist ranges from solid to incredible. It’s a shame the original version of the album doesn’t have Waiting for Never because it’s perhaps the quintessential Malone track and it’s perhaps his best to date.
Not to be outdone, the original tracklist does have When I’m Alone, which is again one of his best songs yet. His pairing with The Weekdn on One Right Now has most music fans begging for the two to work together on a full album.
The features, with the exception of Roddy Ricch’s verse on Cooped Up are really good, too. Doja Cat spins a delightful verse on I Like You (A Happier Song) and Gunna fits right in with I Cannot Be (A Sadder Song).
Lemon Tree is the most experimental song on the album and it’s yet another classic for Malone. The way he croons “better” throughout the song in a stark country twang is something no one else in the pop or hip-hop genre could pull off and it’s beautiful.
There’s a little bit of self-reflection on the artist’s part here, too, but not too much. Malone is, after all, more interested in fun than being brutally honest on his songs.
Hollywood’s Bleeding: The experiments paid off
Hollywood’s Bleeding edges out Twelve Carat Toothache by a hair to be Malone’s best album yet. It features a maturity not found on Beerbongs & Bentleys or Stoney and it’s out of the box enough to feel like exactly who the singer is.
In fact, it’s as if Malone just threw together artists and song ideas at random and it works. Malone has never been about precision or subtlety and this album doesn’t even pretend about that.
The simple fact that he put Ozzie Osbourne and Travis Scott on the same song is incredible. The fact that it’s actually a good song is even more mind-boggling. Pairing rapper Future and pop singer Halsey together was light work after that one.
The standouts here, and there are a lot, are really good. Saint-Tropez is a wonderful song- it’s a true shame it’s so short. Hollywood’s Bleeding is the best opening track a Post Malone album has had yet.
Sunflower, thanks to its place in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, has become a cultural phenomenon. It also features a brilliant Swae Lee. A Thousand Bad Times and On the Road are very different songs that are both excellent.
It’s a Malone album, so it’s not without a couple of skips. Internet is not a good song and Wow. and Enemies with DaBaby are mediocre. Still, the consistent quality across the board is better than any other Post Malone albums yet.
It was a Malone-heavy weekend at the 2023 NBA All-Star Game in Salt Lake City, Utah. Denver Nuggets coach Mike Malone coached Team LeBron, Utah Jazz legend Karl Malone was in the building to take in the sights, and the NBA tapped Post Malone to deliver a pre-game performance yesterday (February 19).
After being introduced by Slam Dunk Contest champion Mac McClung, Malone started his brief set with “Wow,” performing the track through smiles and high-fives with fans in the front rows. Then, backed by fiery pyrotechnics, he brought out 21 Savage to join him on their former No. 1 hit, “Rockstar.”
There was a lot of music at All-Star Weekend beyond Malone and Savage. Also pre-game, Jully Black sang “O Canada” and made a change to the country’s national anthem. Utah native Jewel also came through with “The Star-Spangled Banner.” Savage also played in the celebrity game earlier in the weekend, which also featured Janelle Monáe, Cordae, Kane Brown, Ozuna, and Nicky Jam.
Rapper Dame D.O.L.L.A. (who some might know better as Damian Lillard) showed out during the game and ended up being one of its leading scorers with 26 points. Boston Celtics star Jayson Tatum won the game’s MVP award.
