Faizon Love Argues That Comedians Shouldn’t Be Beefing Amid Katt Williams Drama

Faizon Love argued that comedians shouldn’t beef with one another while discussing Katt Williams’ controversial comments about him from earlier this year. Williams labeled Love a “fat liar” while speaking with Shannon Sharpe for a now-infamous episode of Club Shay Shay back in January. He also joked about having a pot-bellied pig named after him at the GQ Men Of The Year event in November. Love responded to Williams during a recent interview on the We Playin’ Spades podcast.

“None of us should be beefing,” Love said of comedians as a whole. “He loves me. He thinks about me all the time. These other comedians– the white ones, they don’t beef with each other.” From there, he explained that he wasn’t offended by Williams calling him “fat,” but instead the accusation that he’s a liar.

While appearing on the Club Shay Shay podcast, Williams had ranted about several other comedians. In mentioning Love, he said: “I only put on comedians that are funnier than me. Anybody tell you different is a fat Faizon liar…Faizon said that getting a Netflix special is easy, I have 12 specials, guess how many Faizon got? Zero. Why is he allowed to have conversations about real stand-up people? We do not let people who are on the juice discuss real athletes, that’s all!”

The We Playin’ Spades podcast wasn’t the first time Love addressed the rant. Things are getting tense at ESPN right now, as First Take‘s Shannon Sharpe and College Gameday‘s Kirk Herbstreit are trading shots. The issue was actually started by his colleague and co-host, Stephen A. Smith. It all circulates around Ohio State University’s head football coach Ryan Day, who some feel is on the hot seat despite a 66-10 record. Smith is one of them mostly due to the fact that Day has lost his last four meetings to their arch nemesis in Michigan. Additionally, the program’s playoff success has been middling to some degree under Day.

Stephen A. feels that he should be fired, especially if he doesn’t win the national championship this year. Now, let’s fast forward to this past Saturday. With the game in hand for OSU against visiting Tennessee, Herbstreit takes the time to discuss the noise surrounding Ryan Day and his future. It’s worth noting that Kirk played quarterback for the Buckeyes back in the late 80s to early 90s, so he has a good pulse on the fan base and the program. Overall, he feels that coach Day has done a marvelous job. However, his comments didn’t stop there.

Stephen A. addressed Kirk’s critique first, and did so with a bit more grace and understanding. However, he made sure to make his point about Ryan Day very clear. “I say this in fun to both of them [Chris Fowler and Kirk] Stop. Stop it… ‘First Take gotta get him fired.’ That is not true. I did! Not First Take. That was me, Stephen A. Don’t misquote me. What I said was, ‘this man Ryan Day, if he doesn’t get a national championship, he should go. As for Shannon, well, he was restrained, but not as playful. “I’m gonna be a good teammate. I’m gonna let it slide. Everybody’s at ESPN. Tariq Nasheed Explains The Backlash Fat Joe Received From Foundational Black Americans

Tariq Nasheed has responded to the backlash that Fat Joe faced for his controversial comments on Math Hoffa’s My Expert Opinion show. Moreover, for those unaware, Joey Crack called Foundational Black Americans (FBA) “radical Black racists” who are trying to downplay his identity and making up narratives around him. Nasheed is in strong disagreement with Joe’s sentiments about Black culture and Latin American culture, particularly Puerto Ricans, creating hip-hop “50/50.” For the most part in his response, the filmmaker called out what he sees as lies in people’s arguments against FBAs and other common cultural misconceptions on both sides.

Furthermore, this is just one small corner of much wider cultural conversations between so many different groups across or adjacent to Black culture and identity, something that this white-passing Puerto Rican writer, to quote Justin Hunte, is not in the position to properly contextualize. But Fat Joe is far from the only hip-hop artist that Tariq Nasheed has smoke for these days, as he also made some divisive comments about Sexyy Red earlier in 2024. He believes that white supremacists are pushing her because she, in his opinion, represents a negative image of Black culture.

In addition, there are some other Fat Joe takes that might rub Tariq Nasheed or others the wrong way, as his assessment of this past year in rap music also prompted critical responses. “I woke up 2024 feeling like [God dammit!] It’s been a horrible year,” he said of hip-hop this year. “I was just having a heated discussion with my people [about this]. All our legends. All our mentors getting scrutinized. This is the worst time to be a celebrity in history. I’m not sure you guys wanna be celebrities. […] This might be the worst year ever in hip hop history type s**t. This s**t bad.”

Meanwhile, Tariq Nasheed also brought up his Microphone Check documentary against Fat Joe, which also seeks to debunk his claims. As you can tell, these are very difficult cultural conversations that could be much more fruitful and beneficial if folks didn’t take such stubborn or staunch stances. Hopefully combative clap-backs instead turn into more direct dialogue in 2025.

Matt Gaetz Exposed By House Ethics Committee For Paying For Underage Sex

Ever since 2020, former Florida congressman Matt Gaetz has faced accusations of sex trafficking and soliciting sex with minors. While the Department of Justice previously said that they would not investigate him, the House Ethics Committee took matters into their own hands and, in their recently released report on the matter, provided their findings. The committee found that the controversial politician paid about $90,000 in total for various instances of underage sex with a 17-year-old high school student and for many different drugs. Gaetz reportedly paid a dozen women for sexual services between 2017 and 2020 according to CBS News.

According to the report, one of the underage women that Matt Gaetz paid was a high school junior at the time that he sexually engaged with in front of other individuals. The committee claims to have evidence of “tens of thousands of dollars in payments to women […] likely in connection with sexual activity or drug use.” “Victim A,” the then-17-year-old’s name of reference in the report, testified that Kevin McCarthy’s ouster gave her $400 in cash at a party seven years ago, something that she “understood to be payment for sex.”

Furthermore, Matt Gaetz and “Victim A” reportedly engaged in sexual acts at that 2017 part twice, the woman did not tell him that she was under 18, and he did not ask her for her age. One important clarification that the report makes is that all the female interviewees who claimed to have sex with Gaetz stated that it was consensual activity. The Trump supporter did not provide testimony before the House Ethics Committee as his subpoena had sought, but he did issue written responses.

Matt Gaetz denied the committee’s claims and dismissed any notion of criminal activity. He excused the payments as gifts to girlfriends and brought up the DOJ eschewing an investigation. However, the committee firmly believes that they have evidence showing his violation of House rules by illegally soliciting “prostitution, statutory rape, illicit drug use, impermissible gifts, special favors or privileges, and obstruction of Congress.” U.S President-elect Donald Trump had nominated him to be Attorney General, but it’s clearly a good thing that he pulled out of his bid.

DDG Has The Internet Rolling Their Eyes After Buying His Son A Ferrari For His 1st Birthday

Yesterday, DDG and Halle Bailey’s bundle of joy, Halo, turned one. Time really does fly, and the boy’s proud mama recognized that in her adorable and celebratory post. “365 days ago my baby came can’t believe he’s 1!!” His rapper father also took time to brag to everyone, writing, “THE BEST BABY IN THE WORLD JUST TURNED 1!” That same amount of love has seemed to have mostly been translated between the parents, as DDG and Halle continue to co-parent. There have been some slip-ups and misunderstandings, but that’s pretty normal, especially given how fresh it all still is.

However, the internet and presumed Halle supporters still cannot come around to the YouTube star. In their eyes, he’s done some pretty controversial things to damage the relationship. For example, DDG recently had gossip outlets clipping him out of context saying another ex was actually his favorite instead of The Little Mermaid lead. Prior to answering the question, he did say he was leaving family out of the equation, which for him includes Halle. It’s clear he still holds her to a special standard, but you know how rabid fans can be.

But if he does want to win over those staunch critics, he’s going to have to do better. After Halo turned one, DDG went out and decided to cop a Ferrari LaFerrari for “him.” According to the man explaining certain button functions to Halo, this particular example cost $500,000. Of course, the whip is actually for DDG, and folks find this to be quite ignorant, to say the least.

For those of you out there looking for a less traditional Christmas celebration this year, Kim Kardashian just gave you a pretty striking conversation topic. Moreover, she released a music video for her new version of the track “Santa Baby,” a song that her sister Kourtney’s boo Travis Barker produced whose video stars Macaulay Culkin as Santa Claus. It’s a very weird video, to say the least. The often provocative socialite crawls all over the floor amid striking home-video visual imagery, such as dollar bills on the floor, people fighting, Christmas carolers, and someone stuck in the snow. It’s all… so much more bizarre than we would’ve expected when hearing about this on paper.

In fact, you can barely even hear Kim Kardashian’s version of “Santa Baby” in the music video, as it mostly just comes off as ambient noise. The track itself is nothing to write home about, as it’s really the visuals that have confused but also enticed a lot of fans out there. The SKIMS mogul is at least doing something pretty creative here, even if the results aren’t exactly the most clear or well-organized creative choices.

Kim Kardashian’s “Santa Baby” Music Video

Furthermore, these strange shots and set pieces have fans wondering what Kim Kardashian wanted to “say” with “Santa Baby.” Do the dollar bills on the floor hint at this being some sort of capitalist critique or is this all one long and cheekily satirical thirst trap? For either interpretation, and any other, there are a lot of other visual elements that clash with them, so we doubt there’s any one overarching theme. Put your tinfoil hats on and guess away, though! Beef-pilled conspiracy theorists are probably looking for some Bianca Censori shade in there somewhere…

Jokes aside, we can’t deny that this is a pretty interesting and conversation-sparking track and music video from Kim Kardashian, even if we have no idea how deeply we’re supposed to take it. Elsewhere, she continues her law school journey despite some celebrities’ clowning and will probably have some more bizarre offerings for 2025. We doubt they will be as unsettling as this music video, though….
