Here’s When Nicki Minaj’s ‘Pink Friday 2’ Comes Out

Nicki Minaj does things on her terms. If the Barbz needed a refresher course, she reminded them by changing the release date for Pink Friday 2, her highly anticipated fifth studio album.

On Tuesday, October 24, Minaj went live on Instagram, where she said, “The new album date for this incredible body of work, that I am so proud of is on a special day to me and to the Barbz — it will come out on my birthday. Pink Friday 2, I am so happy to announce will be out on my birthday.” For the non-Barbz out there, Minaj’s birthday is December 8.

On Sunday, October 22, Minaj posted on X, “Mighta just recorded the hardest verse on the album. Idk tho. Bookmark me. Code word: won won won.” In other words, the prolonged wait figures to be worth it.

Pink Friday 2 was previously due on November 17. Minaj released “Bahm Bahm” exclusively on her website on Friday, October 13. One month prior, Minaj hosted and performed “Last Time I Saw You” at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards. Other singles released by Minaj are “Super Freaky Girl,” debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 all the way back in August 2022, and “Red Ruby Da Sleeze” from this March.

Nicki Minaj Hilariously Dips On Kai Cenat After He Asks About Her Tour

Nicki Minaj is gearing fans up for a brand-new album. Pink Friday 2 was originally going to come out on November 17th. However, she ultimately decided to move the release date. The album was going to come out on the same day as Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz’s Welcome 2 ColleGrove. Overall, this led to a lot of debates amongst fans. Subsequently, Minaj figured it was best to just push the album back a bit. Now, it is set to be released on Friday, December 8th, which just so happens to be the rapper’s birthday.

Last night, Nicki Minaj was all over Instagram Live, where she connected with fans. During this time, she got to speak on her album while also giving them updates on new songs and collaborations. Moreover, she even went on Live with the likes of Kai Cenat. These two have had correspondences in the past, but they had never interacted in this capacity before. As it turns out, Kai did his best to play the role of a journalist. Unfortunately, Nicki wasn’t ready to answer anything too specifically.

Nicki Minaj Gets Evasive

As you can see in the clip above from The Neighborhood Talk, Kai asks Nicki about a potential tour and when it may start. Subsequently, Minaj gives the Twitch streamer a wink and tells him “goodnight.” She then leaves the livestream as Kai is left wondering what happened. Overall, it was a hilarious exchange that showcases how Nicki might not be ready to give away all of her secrets just yet. Nevertheless, fans should still be excited about the new Nicki album dropping in a month and a half from now.

Nicki Minaj Pushes Back Release Date For “Pink Friday 2” To Her Birthday

Nicki Minaj has once again rescheduled the release of her highly-anticipated album, Pink Friday 2. Initially, the album was set to drop on October 20, but it was then postponed to November 17. Now, fans can look forward to the album’s release on December 8, a date that holds special significance as it coincides with Nicki Minaj’s birthday. In an Instagram Live session, Nicki Minaj revealed the reasons behind this latest change in the album’s release date. She explained, “Weezy and 2 Chainz, they announced their date. And you know how me and Weezy play. He would never.” Nicki Minaj’s close relationship with fellow rapper Lil Wayne, often referred to as Weezy, is well-known in the music industry. This connection likely played a role in her decision to shift the album’s release date to avoid a scheduling conflict.

However, a deeper conversation with streamer Kai Cenat revealed another crucial factor contributing to the delay of Pink Friday 2. Nicki explained that the unavailability of vinyl albums for shipping on the original release date necessitated the change. Vinyl records have enjoyed a resurgence in popularity, offering fans a tangible and collectible way to experience their favorite music. To ensure that fans have the opportunity to purchase vinyl editions of her album on its release, Nicki Minaj decided to move the date to December 8.

Nicki Minaj Has Delayed ‘Pink Friday 2,’ But It Will Now Arrive On An Even More Special Day

It looks like it will be just a little bit longer before the Barbz get their hands on Nicki Minaj‘s long-awaited fifth studio album, Pink Friday 2. Tonight (October 24), Minaj took to Instagram to share a message with the Barbz.

In a live stream, Minaj revealed that she has opted to delay Pink Friday 2.

Minaj’s birthday is just a few weeks after the previous November 17 release date. And while some fans are disappointed at the pushback, she has plenty of treats in store for this era. Lil Wayne & Nicki Minaj Fans Debate Sales Predictions For Upcoming Albums

Young Money fans are eating in 2023. With the release of For All The Dogs, Nicki Minaj and Lil Wayne are now gearing up for their respective bodies of work. However, Nicki’s Pink Friday 2 was already set to drop on November 17th when Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz announced the release date for Welcome 2 Collegrove, which will drop on the same day. Needless to say, it feels like it’s already a first-week sales showdown between the mentor and the mentee.

Already, their respective fanbases are debating who will emerge with the higher first-week sales. For the most part, many of the Barbz feel a type of way about Lil Wayne dropping on the same day as the artist that he signed. Many pointed out that it seemed odd that Lil Wayne had put himself in a position to compete against Nicki Minaj rather than letting her shine. However, it doesn’t seem likely that Welcome 2 Collegrove will outsell Pink Friday 2, especially considering the success of the lead single, “Super Freaky Girl.”

How Much Did Queen & Collegrove Sell In The First Week?

While both of these projects are highly anticipated efforts in hip-hop as a whole, another reason why it seems likely that Nicki Minaj will outsell 2 Chainz and Lil Wayne is purely based on numbers. Nicki’s last album, Queen, moved 155K units in its first week in 2018, although she debuted at #2 behind Travis Scott’s Astroworld. Meanwhile, 2 Chainz and Lil Wayne’s ColleGrove moved 53,000 units in its first week in 2016 including 34,000 from pure sales.

Unfortunately, it’s too early for any formal predictions of what each album will sell. Regardless, it’ll be a great day for hip-hop fans. In the past few weeks, both Wayne and Nicki have unloaded new singles. Weezy unveiled Tha Fix Before Tha VI while Nicki Minaj recently delivered “For All The Barbz,” a remix to Drake and Chief Keef’s “All The Parties.” Which album will you be checking out first on November 17th? Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz’s Welcome 2 ColleGrove 2 or Nicki Minaj’s Pink Friday 2? Sound off in the comments below.

Nicki Minaj, Drake & Chief Keef’s ‘For All The Barbz’ Is The Ultimate ‘For All The Dogs’ Album Snub Response

After months of teasing their long-awaited collaboration, Drake and Nicki Minaj’s unreleased track did not make For All The Dogs. However, the Queen Radio host’s new freestyle track, “All The Barbz,” is the ultimate response for the notable album cameo snub. On the record, Minaj reclaimed her Young Money Record comrade’s “All The Parties” to hold fans over before the release of her forthcoming album, Pink Friday 2.

She kept Drake and Chief Keef’s contributions to demonstrate how sorely her bars were missed in the body of work. For Minaj’s verse, she took a moment to address the subtle jabs she sent seemingly and received during the 2023 VMAs (where she served as a host and featured performer).

“VMAs was a family reunion / First time in a while I seen all of my sons / Keep it a hundred, keep it in a trust / If I lose ninety-nine, I still keep it a buck / I don’t hear you hoes / I make the movies, I give you bitches cameos / Here we go, he tryna make honey nut like Cheerios,” spit Minaj seeming to refer to foes Cardi B, Megan Thee Stallion, and Latto some would include Doja Cat in the mix as well.

That would seem to be supported by another fairly topical line: “I get these b*tches scramblin’ when I throw the bait / One sub kill five b*tches, OceanGate.”

Nicki Minaj Delivers Freestyle Over Drake & Chief Keef’s “All The Parties” On “For All The Barbz”

On November 17th, Nicki Minaj will be dropping her new album, Pink Friday 2. This is her first album since 2018, and as you can imagine, the expectations are very high. However, no one truly knows what to expect. The artist has been very hush-hush as it pertains to the project, and fans are very excited to listen to the whole thing. In fact, she is now in the midst of dropping freestyles and various miscellaneous tracks prior to her album’s official release. This is an exciting prospect for fans, and today, she delivered again.

Below, you will find the audio to a new freestyle that Nicki spat over Drake and Chief Keef’s song “All The Parties.” Overall, this is a track that appears on the album For All The Dogs. It proved to be a popular track, so it should come as no surprise that Nicki would want to lend her voice to it. In fact, this song comes across more like a remix given the fact that we still hear both Drake and Chief Keef throughout the track.

Nicki Minaj Drops Scrapped Track “Bahm Bahm” From “Pink Friday 2” On Her Website

Nicki Minaj, as we all know at this point, needs little to no introduction. The queen of rap is still the leader and has been for over a decade now. We got word late last night that the legendary MC dropped a song in promotion for her highly-anticipated album, Pink Friday 2. Unfortunately, it will not make the final cut.

A few days ago Nicki told her fans that it would not be on her tape. She says she “didn’t like it for her album”. “Bahm Bahm,” which is the name of the song, was teased on Nicki Minaj’s Instagram Live on October 10. What most likely contributed to this was a recent poll she put up on her X account.

Two other song titles were in the poll, “Juice WRLD” and “Future.” If you now go to the Genius page you will see that a song, “Nicki Hendrix.” “Bahm “Bahm” received the least amount of votes, which is a possible reason as to why it also did not make it onto the final product. The only way that Nicki is allowing listeners to check it out is on her website, which is linked below in the Via section.

What are your initial thoughts on this brand new song from Nicki Minaj, “Bahm Bahm?” Do you think this song needs to be on her next album Pink Friday 2? Nicki Minaj, Queen Of Fridays, Couldn’t Let Friday End Without Surprising Her Barbz With ‘Bahm Bahm’

Friday (October 13) was stacked with heavy-hitting album drops from the likes of Bad Bunny and Offset. Not to mention, Taylor Swift’s record-breaking concert film Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour hit theaters. Nicki Minaj couldn’t let Friday end without getting in on the action, especially considering her forthcoming album is called Pink Friday 2.

Late Friday night, Minaj uploaded the track “Bahm Bahm” exclusively on her website. The single’s cover art appropriately displays a pink-colored crown. The beat is immediately enticing, and Minaj knows it: “There I go again, kickin’ some dumb flow.” In the chorus, she doubles down on her well-earned confidence, rapping, “They say my price ridiculous / I don’t like them b*tches / P*ssy tight and vicious / Hit them likes to lick this (bahm, bahm) / Screamin’, ‘F*ck the opposition.’”

On Thursday (October 12), Minaj created a poll on X (formerly known as Twitter) with Pink Friday 2 as the hashtag and Juice WRLD, Future, or “Bahm Bahm” as the voting options. She continued to tease as Friday went on, leading to her reveal that “Bahm Bahm” won and therefore had been unlocked for the Barbz.

“There’s a winner [trophy emoji],” Minaj wrote. “It was based on MANY deciding factors in addition to the 2 polls. It’ll appear shortly on the music player on my website. More surprises coming. Huge. But let’s just enjoy a cute bop & meet up next #PinkFriday…same time, same place. Gag city.”

Minaj also commemorated Friday the 13th by dropping Pink Friday 2 merchandise, which can be found here.

In June, Minaj confirmed that her Pink Friday 2 album had been pushed to a November 17 release and that a supporting tour would follow. “Bahm Bahm” joins previously released singles “Last Time I Saw You” and “Super Freaky Girl,” the latter making Billboard Hot 100 history as Minaj’s third-career No. 1.
