Fans of Nicki Minaj believe that Cardi B and Offset are trying to distract from the release of Pink Friday 2, amid rumors of a rift in their relationship. The couple both posted vague Instagram Stories about trust and relationships on Monday.

“You know sometimes you just outgrow relationships,” Cardi began on her Instagram Story. “I’m tired of protecting people’s feelings… I GOTTA PUT MYSELF FIRST.” As for Offset, he more cryptically posted a clip from the 1983 film, Scarface, in which Al Pacino’s character remarks: “Hey, f*ck you, man! Who put this thing together? Me. That’s who. Who do I trust? Me.”

Nicki Minaj is expected to drop her first new album in 5 years later this week. Pink Friday 2 was first announced earlier this year with an initial release date in November. As the date approached though, Nicki announced a delay in the release of the project. Thankfully for fans, the delay was just a few weeks and the album is now expected to drop this Friday, December 8. But the project narrowly avoided yet another delay earlier this week.

In a new tweet, Nicki explains what happened, or rather what almost happened. “Hi guys, I have to tell you something. One last thing. Hope it doesn’t make you sad. I won’t be able to perform tmrw in #Chicago for Jingle Ball. I was so excited to see you guys. Pls accept my sincerest apologies. I’ll make it up to you on the Chicago stops of my tour early next year. Details to come,” her tweet begins. His name is Lil Wayne AKA the GOAT. He will perform tmrw @ the Chicago show. Love you,” her tweet concludes.

Nicki has continued to build up hype for the album in recent weeks. Come hell or high water, Nicki Minaj will ensure her long-awaited studio album, Pink Friday 2, is on schedule. Nicki was forced to drop out of an upcoming show to ensure that the project hits streaming platforms this Friday, December 8. Tomorrow (December 4), the “Bahm Bahm” rapper was supposed to perform in Chicago, Illinois, as part of the 2023 iHeartRadio Jingle Ball concert series.

Unfortunately, the Chicago Barbz won’t see Nicki until the Pink Friday World Tour twirls through the Windy City. Today (December 3), Nicki broke the news that she can’t make the gig in a post on her official X (formerly Twitter) page. However, instead of leaving fans high and dry, she was able to tap Lil Wayne to fill in for her headlining slot.

“I have to tell you something. One last thing. I hope it doesn’t make you sad. I won’t be able to perform tomorrow in Chicago for Jingle Ball. I was so excited to see you guys. Please accept my sincerest apologies. I’ll make it up to you on the Chicago stops of my tour early next year,” wrote Nicki.

She added, “However, my beloved brother/boss stepped up for me so that I wouldn’t have to push my album back. His name is Lil Wayne, a.k.a. the GOAT. He will perform tomorrow at the Chicago show.”

She continued, “I am still performing at the Atlanta Jingle Ball on the 14th. And now I’ll also be performing at the Miami Jingle Ball on the 16th.”

Singles

So far, Nicki Minaj has rolled out two singles from Pink Friday 2, including “Bahm Bahm” and “Last Time I Saw You.” Before announcing the album, Minaj released songs “Super Freaky Girl” and “Red Ruby Da Sleeze.” Fans hope each of those tracks will appear on the project.

Tour

On November 17, Nicki Minaj confirmed that to support the album, she will embark on a world tour. Currently, the Pink Friday 2 World Tour schedule hasn’t been shared with the general public. But Minaj did confirm that the run will kick off in 2024. The RVSP webpage listed several North American and international stops, including Brooklyn, Chicago, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Montreal, Philadelphia, Toronto, Vancouver, Netherlands, Germany, and France. In addition to the Pink Friday 2 World Tour, Minaj is slated to headline Rolling Loud California 2024.

Here’s how to buy Minaj’s Pink Friday 2.0 Eau De Parfum spray: The follow-up to her original 2012 Pink Friday scent is exclusively available in JCPenny stores and on its official website. On the landing page, the fragrance notes are described as having nectarine, pineapple, and solar bloom top notes. Then, there are orange flower petals, pink mimosa, and damask rose hearts. However, the base notes are amber, tonka bean, and sexy mus.

Minaj’s Pink Friday 2.0 Eau De Parfum spray is offered in two sizes. The larger size, 1.7-ounce, retails for $49 and comes in a custom-crafted bottle, which mirrors a look from Minaj’s “Super Freaky Girl” video. The second option is a 0.33-ounce travel size. She made the proclamation during a tweet addressed to her fans on Monday. “Dear Barbz,” Minaj began the post. “It just dawned on me; I am about to release one of the greatest albums of ALL TIME. Love always, Harajuku #Barbie.” The comments arrive as the project is due to release, next month.

The post had fans expectidly excited. In her message, she notes the backlash she gets on a regular basis, advising people to stop trying to tell her how to do her job.
