Nicki Minaj Sends The Barbz Mixed Signals About Her Supposed Hiatus

Nicki Minaj plays with the Barbz sometimes. Whether it’s her usual social media clap-backs to misinterpreted media conversations, teases of new music or other endeavors, or her reflections on being a superstar, sometimes she outlines a lot of paths before making a final decision. In a few of those cases, this can end up scaring the fanbase, although not for long. For example, the Trinidadian femcee recently held a Stationhead session on Sunday (October 13) in which she spoke on the success of the Pink Friday 2 world tour. Then, she sent her die-hards into fight-or-flight mode by suggesting that she may hang up the mic.

“I am doing a hiatus,” Nicki Minaj expressed on the platform. “But I have the Vogue thing, which I’m very proud and honored to do, and a couple things and then I’ll be taking a little moment to reflect.” Of course, this isn’t the first time that she’s teased a break, whether that’s a permanent step away from music or just a much-needed break from her general industry and career moves. Reportedly, Nicki hinted before that this hiatus could happen after the Pink Friday 2 world tour wrapped up, a reality we now live in.

However, it turns out that Nicki Minaj was once again feeling the temperature and speaking on possibilities, because she quickly dispelled any hiatus speculation via Twitter. “Ain’t going no mthfkn where,” she responded to a post about her supposed break. “Kiss my a** & HIATUS LMFAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.” “We don’t announce the hiatus Barbz. Crack is whack. We don’t do that,” the 41-year-old followed up in another post. As such, it seems like the Barbz don’t have to worry about her stepping away too much, which is a relief to hear.

Nicki’s Not Going Anywhere

Elsewhere during the weekend, Nicki Minaj thanked everyone who helped her along the way on her PF2 tour in various social media posts. “Barbz. Wow. We did it,” she wrote in one of these posts via Twitter. “Emotional (to say the least). I love you ALL so much. Every single person who came out- from our very 1st show— every country— my incredible team.”

Nicki Minaj Invites Sexyy Red & 50 Cent To Close Out “Pink Friday 2” World Tour

The Pink Friday 2 World Tour is one of the most successful hip-hop treks of all time, so it’s no surprise that Nicki Minaj wanted to close things off with a bang. She held her last concert of the tour on Friday (October 11) in Elmont, New York, and brought along some special guests to grace the stage. Sexyy Red and 50 Cent (who was already an invited performer on this tour) hit the stage alongside the Trinidadian rap legend. The crowd was loving it, the artists themselves seemed to have a lot of fun, and it was overall a great close to this historic run.

Of course, it’s not like the Pink Firday 2 World Tour wasn’t without its fair share of salacious social media headlines and a few controversies here and there. One of these was how Nicki Minaj’s ex Safaree attended a show, something that Nicki seemed to not be so happy with. “When you’re at peace and when you’re happy, so many things will start coming, you know to try to steal your joy and to steal your peace you know,” she allegedly responded to his appearance via Stationhead. “Please don’t let it.”

As for Sexyy Red and 50 Cent, they both have recent collaborations with Nicki Minaj as part of the Pink Friday 2 era, so seeing them close out the tour with her fit perfectly. Elsewhere, though, she’s dealing with a lot of other issues and obstacles, such as the alleged assault case against her and her husband Kenneth Petty. Still, nothing slowed this tour down, and nothing succeeded in silencing the Barbz. We’ll see what other updates and storylines emerge or develop further in the near future.

Meanwhile, Nicki Minaj also has a few rap feuds on her desk, although she doesn’t want to claim involvement where there is none. For example, she denied hiring Kelsey Harris, Megan Thee Stallion’s former best friend, to promote her sneaker line. As for Safaree’s original post, he wrote on X (formerly Twitter): “I’m proud no cap… a lot of yalll will never understand but there is no malice in me… I’m proud.” He had been in attendance at the concert when Minaj brought out her current husband, Kenneth Petty. In doing so, she danced on him while performing “Super Freaky Girl.” In another post, Safaree wrote: “Was by the bar at the concert when Roman’s revenge came on I dropped my drink screamed and ran back inside screaming my lungs out lmaooooo it all happened to fast tho nobody caught me at that part [laughing emojis]. I was soooo excited. Im sorry im not mad guys sheesh we all allowed to have fun. Ok bye.”

Nicki Minaj brought out her husband, Kenny Petty, during her concert in Miami, over the weekend. She danced in front of him as she performed her hit song, “Super Freaky Girl.” Her ex, Safaree, was in attendance at the show, prompting plenty of attention on social media. The two were one of hip-hop’s most notable couples when they dated from 2003 to 2014.

Regardless of Petty’s appearance, Safaree still enjoyed himself at the show. You went on a whole press tour spreading lies about you writing for her, disrespected her every chance you got… what you’re doing is staIk-ish and obsessive, but I get it. like imagine fumbling a woman like this?” Another added: “If there’s no malice in you then publicly tell these folks once and for all that you ain’t never wrote no nicki minaj bars. Nicki Minaj is certainly no stranger to calling people out online, and it appears as though her tour staff is no exception. Recently, the “FTCU” rapper took to Twitter/X to drag an assistant on her “Pink Friday 2” tour, who she claims was previously fired. She shared a photo of a takeout order, complete with a message from restaurant employees written on the bag. “We [love] u barb,” it read.

“Thank God I don’t eat the food in this place. Imagine seeing this written on a brown paper bag. Why would a person placing an order say who it’s for? Odd? Or?” Nicki said of the note. “Ion care how long it take to get a opp bak. I will never ever eat again from outback.”

One Barb in her replies encouraged her to re-evaluate her team, noting that her name should not have been mentioned by whoever placed the order. “Oh she was fired last leg but was mysteriously hired again! Pay for those free shows or sitcho silly tail self down & be surprised. Be in the moment. This ain’t a fkng juke box. It’s been a busy few months for Nicki Minaj, but regardless, she recently found the time to make a fan’s day. Currently, the “FTCU” rapper is making her way across the U.S. on the second leg of her “Pink Friday 2” tour. Over the weekend, she performed in Cleveland, OH, and later surprised the Barbz with a visit to a local shoe store.

The visit was to celebrate her sneaker line with LOCI launching in DTLR, and plenty of fans were in attendance. Unfortunately, while most of them had a great time, not all of them had their expectations met. One fan, for example, took to Twitter/X shortly after to share an emotional clip of herself. According to her, she waited all day for an opportunity to meet Nicki but left disappointed.

“Stood standing all day from 1pm to finally getting closer to the entrance just to announce meets are over. @NICKIMINAJ My heart is broken mother [broken heart emoji, crying emoji],” user @97sbabyy wrote. “Thank you to the Barbz that had my back [single tear emoji] #GagCityCleveland #NickixLøcixDTLR.” Eventually, Nicki heard about the fan’s experience and decided to make it up to her with a generous offer.

Apparently, Nicki was under the impression that there would be roughly 300 fans at the sneaker event. Based on footage from yesterday, there were far more than that, and she was shocked by the size of the crowd. Nicki Minaj Delivers Strong Warning To Fan Who’s Suing Her For $5 Million

Nicki Minaj is facing a $5 million lawsuit from a fan by the name of Tameer Peak, who is seeking compensation for reputational harm, emotional distress, and financial loss. In the lawsuit he filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, Peak claims he’s been a dedicated fan of the rapper for the last 15 years and even worked passionately to promote her latest album, Pink Friday 2. However, Minaj allegedly accused him of being a being “paid mole” and even invited him to her hotel room, just to hop on Instagram Live and embarrass him in front of 100,000 fans. She also accused him of being a “stalker” and more.

Minaj responded to the lawsuit in a statement provided to TMZ on Sunday. “Mr. Peak has been harassing Nicki on social media for years on end to no avail,” her attorney, Judd Burstein, told the outlet. “He has now graduated to seeking to shake her down financially with manifestly false allegations and legally frivolous claims. He will regret having gone down this disreputable road when he is forced to pay her legal fees as required by California law.”
