Jamie Foxx’s Kids Don’t Believe That Pi’erre Bourne’s Producer Tag Is Him

Pi’erre Bourne is rising. The producer is prepping for the release of Good Movie and is heading out on a big tour soon. He’s so famous that Jamie Foxx’s kids are fans, and they don’t believe that his producer tag is actually an old sample of Foxx’s voice.

“I thought that was great, man,” Foxx said when asked in an interview what he thought of the producer tag sample. “My kids… I’m always trying to impress my daughter. She’s 13 and with her friends and I’m like, ‘Listen, that’s me saying that,’ and she’s like ‘Dad, that ain’t you.’ Because, you know, she’s too young to have seen that show when it was out.”

The iconic tag, if you don’t know, comes from an episode of The Jamie Foxx Show and it consists of Foxx shouting, “Yo Pierre, you wanna come out here?” and then making the hilarious sound of a door creaking.

Good Movie is set to arrive in just a few days, and it follows up a joint album with Juicy J in June and reuniting with Lil Uzi Vert on his album The Life Of Pi’erre 5 last year. Last week, the rapper unveiled the single “Good Movie” which kept fans eager to hear the rest of the album.

Pi’erre Bourne Releases The Cinematic ‘Good Movie’ Title Track

Pi’erre Bourne’s new album Good Movie is set to arrive next month after a joint album with Juicy J in June and reuniting with Lil Uzi Vert on his album The Life Of Pi’erre 5 last year. Today, he’s giving fans another taste of the LP with the release of the title track.

This also follows his recent collaboration with Young Nudy for EA Monster, which followed up Nudy’s 2021 mixtapes Dr. Ev4l and Rich Shooter with 11 tracks of distorted, eerie beats from Bourne featuring Nudy’s signature trap boasts and threats. It was not their first time working together; the pair teamed up in 2019 on Sli’merre, it makes sense he’d reunite for another go-round with the spaced-out producer as he stands on the cusp of his potential leap to a higher plateau.

This fall, the producer turned rapper will be heading out on a tour to promote the record. It’ll kick off at the start of September in Houston, Texas at House Of Blues, and will continue through mid-December. The plentiful North American dates will then be followed by a run in Europe, Australia, and New Zealand to bring the new songs to all of his fans.

Good Movie is out 9/2 via Interscope Records.

Young Nudy Reunites With Pi’erre Bourne To Drop The Menacing New Project ‘EA Monster’

Atlanta-based upstart Young Nudy has been gaining momentum in his hometown for years. While it’s hard to tell when or if his breakout to the mainstream will come, this week, he launched another salvo in his ongoing campaign to take over the music world. After he won plenty of success by teaming up with Pi’erre Bourne in 2019 on Sli’merre, it makes sense he’d reunite for another go-round with the spaced-out producer as he stands on the cusp of his potential leap to a higher plateau.

On EA Monster, Nudy follows up his 2021 mixtapes Dr. Ev4l and Rich Shooter with 11 tracks of distorted, eerie beats from Bourne featuring Nudy’s signature trap boasts and threats. The bleary-eyed vibe is one of the big reasons why Nudy has caught on with younger fans in Atlanta — vibes over everything — but if they can drive up the streams on this one to a commensurate level to his popularity at home, it could be an advantage as many folks’ first introduction to Nudy when it reaches the Billboard radar. There’s little in the rap world that sounds much like it, and it could grab enough attention to get him to that next level.
