DMX’s Son Plays “X Gon’ Give It To Ya” On Piano For Rapper’s Birthday: Watch

Happy birthday to the late, great, and forever legendary DMX, who would’ve turned 53 years old today (Monday, December 18). His legacy remains thriving and perseverant, whether thanks to his collaborators in the music industry or the love of his family. For example, the rapper’s former fiancée Desiree Lindstrom recently shared a clip of their son, seven-year-old Exodus, playing the piano. In particular, he covered his father’s iconic smash hit, “X Gon’ Give It To Ya,” playing the opening brass hits on the keys. It was overall a very wholesome moment to witness, especially on this special day in which X fans worldwide are celebrating his indelible contributions to the culture.

Furthermore, folks within the rap game have often looked back at his days working amongst the greats… even if some of it was contentious. For example, Styles P recently recalled how DMX dissed Ja Rule on his 1998 cut, “We Don’t Give A F**k.” “The song was about Ja,” he told The Breakfast Club. “You didn’t know that? X and Ja having beef. They was dogs. He’s in it, I’m in it with him. Y’all had to know that! Listen to the lyrics!”

DMX’s Son Honors His Father On The Piano: Watch

Meanwhile, Swizz Beatz recently recounted how he and DMX crafted “Party Up.” “It worked for DMX one time with ‘Party Up,’” he told Rema in a Rolling Stone-hosted talk. “But if you listen to [it], he does everything against the track. Like, you could tell he didn’t want to do the song. But I forced him because we was on a deadline.” Still, they ended up creating what the producer called the “biggest song [they] ever made,” and an iconic rap song to get down to.

In other news, there’s also plenty of good times that the New York legend’s family have had with these figures. For one, Swizz Beatz and his family linked up with some of the late MC’s children for a vacation together, the footage of which was heartwarming. As long as hip-hop is alive, he will be one of its most celebrated and impactful figures. For more news and the latest updates on the Divine Master of the Unknown, check back in with HNHH.
Rest In Peace DMX.

Polo G Reveals His Massive Earnings Amid Retirement Claims

Earlier this week, Polo G took to social media to let followers know that he’s considering retiring. The 24-year old shared his plans on Twitter, claiming that he might be finished once his next album comes out. “Honestly after my hood poet album I’m considering retiring from music,” he wrote. The artist continued, thanking those who have supported him over the course of his career. “So I appreciate everybody ridin for me 10 fold,” he says.

Polo G continued, claiming that the current state of the rap game is the driving force in his potential plan. “This rap sh*t got so lame and watered down it ain’t no fun in it no more,” he wrote. For obvious reasons, his posts have managed to disappoint fans, who don’t want him to stop putting out new music. With that being said, it appears as though there’s nothing holding him back from retiring, as he claims to have made enough money to hold him over for a while.

Polo G Says He’s Made “$30 Million Plus”

In another Tweet, which has since been deleted, the performer detailed his massive earnings. “I made more than enough money trust me #pianoG,” he told fans. “I made 30 million plus off that instrument.” It’s uncertain whether the artist was referring to his music as a whole, which has been criticized in the past for its frequent use of piano melodies, or his actual song “Piano G.” Either way, it looks like the Chicago-native is pretty well off.

He just recently announced his next project, Hood Poet, earlier this week. The album is scheduled to arrive next month. Shortly after the announcement, Polo G also dropped off the first single of the album, “Barely Holdin’ On.” The announcement followed some ongoing rumors that the rapper would be making a return soon, and it’s safe to say that fans are eager to hear it. Keep an eye on HNHH for more updates on Polo G.

Swizz Beatz & Alicia Keys’ Son Egypt Wows With Piano Skills

It appears that musical genius runs in Swizz Beatz and Alicia Keys’ family. Swizz posted on Instagram (and aggregated by The Shade Room) of their son, Egypt, going absolutely ballistic on the piano. The video begins with Swizz coming into the room, where beautiful music is pouring out. That’s when the video sees Egypt seated at the ivories, turned around and looking at his dad while he’s still playing incredible music. He continues to play for the better part of a minute before ending the song and getting up from the piano.

Swizz Beatz posted this to his socials with the caption, “This boy is turning into something else,” with tons of celebratory emojis. The Shade Room adds its own caption to the amazing feat: “Swizz Beatz and Alicia Keys’ son Egypt giving y’all a glimpse of what he can do on them keys!” Egypt is 11 years old and is the older brother to Beatz and Keys’ other son, Genesis, age eight. And if he’s doing this at 11, who knows what heights Egypt can take his music career to.

Beatz and Keys got married on July 31, 2010. Since then, they’ve had two sons and plenty of musical success. Alicia Keys just recently celebrated her Jay-Z collab anthem “Empire State of Mind” going nine times platinum. Swizz Beatz, a music producer and rapper with almost 20 years of experience in the hip-hop industry, has been feeling nostalgic by sharing a ton of DMX stories and content.

But first and foremost, the couple is still going strong. Other than fostering the musical talents of their boys, they keep giving each other grand romantic gestures. Swizz Beatz recently gave Alicia Keys a $500,000 Virgil Abloh-designed Mercedes-Maybach car. So now Keys is mobbing around in style while her son Egypt is becoming an honest prodigy on the piano. Where Egypt takes his piano powers is anyone’s guess. But we wouldn’t be shocked if he wanted to take up music as something more than a hobby.

Cardi B Shows Off Custom Pink Piano On Twitter

Cardi B is no stranger to luxury and even less of a stranger to showing off those luxury things online. Today it was a hot pink piano that feels straight out of the Barbie movie. The bright pink wasn’t the only notable part of the whole ensemble though. It also featured a stool that was a lighter more pastel pink for playing. But perhaps the best part of the shimmering all-bronze interior which is visible through the see-through outer frame. As you’d expect fans were impressed by the instrument and gushed over it in the comments. Many dug up their favorite Cardi B reaction gifs to post underneath the video.

The piano isn’t the only thing Cardi has been celebrating on Instagram recently. Her daughter Kulture recently graduated preschool and Cardi was her biggest fan. She posted some adorable pics of her daughter accompanied by the caption “My baby moving on up.” One of the pictures sports a certificate declaring Kulture as the best dancer in her class, which obviously runs in the family.

Cardi B’s Beautiful New Piano

Musically Cardi has been quiet for much of the year. While she’s found various ways to tease fans with the possibility of her second album coming soon, so far nothing has materialized. She hasn’t been entirely silent though. A few weeks ago she hopped on a remix of Latto’s track “Put It On Da Floor” which is appropriately titled “Put It On Da Floor Again.” The song went on to have a top 20 debut on the Hot 100 the very next week.

Cardi B has also been embroiled in one of the strangest recent celebrity dramas. She found herself in a Twitter beef with stepson of one of the billionaires on the recent Oceangate submersible which tragically never resurfaced. Their back and forth on Twitter captivated fans if for no reason other than how strange it was. What do you think of Cardi B’s pink and bronze piano? Let us know in the comment section below.

DMX’s Son Shares Piano Cover Of “Ruff Ryders’ Anthem”

DMX’s six-year-old son, Exodus, has shared a tribute to his late father. His mother, Desiree Lindstrom, posted a clip of the young boy covering DMX’s 1998 It’s Dark and Hell Is Hot track, “Ruff Ryders’ Anthem.” She wrote about the clip, “Y’all should of known it was coming,” calling it “A small tribute to his daddy!” Fans flocked to her comments section to show love for Exodus.

“Girl why a tear fall OMG Exodus I can’t wait to see what life has to offer,” one fans writes. Another says, “That boy is gifted … like his father.” A commenter tells Exodus, “I know your Dad would be so proud of you,” adding a heart emoji.

Exodus Covers DMX

It seems as though Exodus isn’t the only person following in his dad’s footsteps. Last month, Swizz Beatz opened up about another artist who he thinks embodies his late friend DMX. “But the thing that make me feel easy about it is he came to me,” the artist began. He described feeling as though the young rapper Scar Lip was sent to him by DMX. Swizz Beatz explained, “I seen him in my dream. He came to me. And this was, like, super quick too. And he let me know he was good. I’m the person that be like, ‘He ain’t come to see you, what you talkin’ about?’ I seen him. I felt him.”

“I honestly feel like DMX sent Scar Lip my way because she’s too much of his energy,” Swizz said. “Like I’ve never seen an artist that just naturally have what I know DMX have. And they two different artists, two different levels, yes. But I’m not talking about that. You know, like, that sister’s been through a lot, like Dog been through a lot. That sister, you know, is when you sit with her, she’s amazing and have a great heart the same way X had a great heart.”
