Quavo, Key Glock & Jim Jones Came To Impress At Paris Fashion Week

Paris Fashion Week has, as expected, been a pretty eventful opportunity for hip-hop greats to link up and dress to impress. Moreover, we’ve seen a lot of clips as of late as to how the rap-verse is spending this stylish time, including a video of two incredible artists, Solange and Yasiin Bey (FKA Mos Def), chopping it up. In addition, we also saw a couple of clips over the weekend of Quavo, Jim Jones, and Key Glock having fun during the occasion, and so many more that popped up as cameos. Most importantly, it’s always heartening to see these artists show love to each other, be it for their drip or anything else.

For example, Key Glock had himself an amazing time at Paris Fashion Week, turning up the crowd at what seems like an afterparty with his smash hit “Let’s Go.” Not only that, but plenty of other rappers also popped up around his section to greet him and talk for a bit. These include J Balvin, Gunna, and Yeat, which is just about the wildest combination one could imagine for a collab. Jokes aside, the Memphis MC will hopefully continue his 2023 acclaim into 2024, because his hard work and consistency definitely merits it.

Elsewhere during Paris Fashion Week, Jim Jones played the double role of famous rapper clubbing it up and model. He walked the runway with a lot of confidence in a big cream jacket and a striking burgundy ensemble underneath. In addition, Capo also hung out with Quavo and listened to a Takeoff track in the club, and we’re sure they always appreciate the opportunity to tribute their fallen friend. With all these parties in mind, any Parisian readers should probably keep a list of all the hot clubs, just in case.

Solange And Yasiin Bey Chat During Paris Fashion Week In New Video

Yasiin Bey, previously known as Mos Def, has been at the center of quite a bit of discussion recently. So much so that a simple conversation with Solange after a fashion show earlier this week turned into news. It all started earlier this month when Bey was asked about Drake’s music in an interview. “Drake is pop to me. In the sense, like, if I was in Target in Houston, and I heard a Drake song. It feels like a lot of his music is compatible with… shopping. Or, as you know, shopping with an edge in certain instances,” Bey replied.

That statement didn’t sit right with many rap fans and fellow rappers. One who notably spoke out against Bey’s comments was NLE Choppa. He came to Drake’s defense against the allegations that he just makes pop rap. Drake himself also fired back with a post to his Instagram story. He shared an old video clip of Method Man claiming that rap is more about upholding the culture more than any specific sound or style. Earlier this week the story got another twist. Yasiin Bey did a performance during a show at Paris Fashion Week that went viral for all the wrong reasons. He performed alone on a small stage mostly singing while runway models walked up and down either side of him. The performance had Drake fans questioning whether or not Bey was contributing to so called “real” hip-hop himself.

There are still a few more Paris Fashion Week events to attend before the season comes to a close. Still, already we’ve seen an abundance of headline-making celebrity antics (and outfits). Of course, Cher and AE Edwards surprised pop culture fanatics by reconciling their romance in time to sit front row. Elsewhere, Zendaya continued her streak of breaking necks at the Louis Vuitton presentation while Pete Davidson’s rumoured new lover, Madelyne Cline, shared a smooch with fellow actress Dove Cameron. Others who we’ve seen out and about in the City of Love are Damson Idris and Lori Harvey.

Despite what critics had to say early on, their relationship looks to only be growing stronger. Seeing as she’s been a socialite for all of her adult life, the Memphis-born beauty is used to being in the spotlight, and often harshly judged on her fashion statements. Thankfully, she’s refined her style while growing into womanhood, as shown in her stunning, navy Ferragamo dress below. The shiny fabric perfectly hugged Harvey’s hourglass figure. Surprisingly, it doesn’t look like Idris has been making appearances on the runway circuit with his girlfriend. Kim Kardashian is also in town and made a much more low-stakes appearance at Victoria Beckham’s fashion show. According to Page Six, she turned up with her mother Kris Jenner in perfectly contrasting outfits. Kim’s bubblegum pink dress absolutely stole the show but Kris’ black-on-black leather jacket look was another major highlight. Unsurprisingly they were among the guests of honor at the show. They took a spot next to Anna Wintour and Victoria’s husband David Beckham alongside the pair’s three kids.
