ScHoolboy Q Hilariously Trolls Drake After DJ Plays “Not Like Us” In Toronto

Toronto’s stance on the Drake vs. Kendrick Lamar battle has been a recent talking point. Drake’s hometown has not been welcoming to those who took Lamar’s side in the battle. Rick Ross was attacked during a recent stop in TO. ScHoolboy Q, meanwhile, claimed that the Canadian tour of his Blue Lips tour was canceled. Well, Q seemingly gotten payback against Drizzy on July 29. ScHoolboy Q got to sit back and watch as a DJ blasted the Drake diss “Not Like Us” on a Toronto stage. Better yet, the same stage that the TDE rapper was supposed to perform on a few weeks prior.

DJ Scheme was the man behind the “Not Like Us” needle drop. He decided to throw on the iconic Drake diss during his Toronto set, and surprisingly, it rang off. The footage of Scheme’s set list shows that fans were more than game to sing along to Kendrick Lamar’s rhymes. The fact that the DJ got away with this would have been enough to elicit discourse, but then ScHoolboy Q chimed in. The rapper quote tweeted the video of Scheme’s set and wrote: “HAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHH.” No extra context needed, really. He was simply thrilled to see Drake getting disrespected in his own city.

ScHoolboy Q Had A Good Laugh Over The DJ Set

ScHoolboy Q previously criticized Drake and OVO for being sensitive about TDE artists being in Canada. When the rapper’s show was canceled, he immediately hopped on Twitter and vented. He said that OVO artists had no problem performing in California, so the same courtesy should be extended the other way. “TOP was just wit Wayne & Baby smH,” he wrote. “Partynextdoor just Had a sHow @ tHe palladium. If we wanted to get yall we would’ve just did it.. now wHen sumbody get Hurt don’t cry…” Debate raged on as to whether Drake was behind ScHoolboy Q’s cancelation, but it was eventually confirmed that the show was going to be at a venue partially ran by Drake.

Drake’s relationship with “Not Like Us” has been interesting over the last couple weeks. The rumor that the rapper banned the song from being played in Houston clubs was debunked. Fittingly, by the DJ who started it in the first place. Then, the 6 God posted a clip of an impersonator on his Instagram Story, and mocked him by using the “Not Like Us” line: “Sometimes you gotta pop out.” No word yet on whether DJ Scheme will face repercussions for playing the diss in Toronto. Either way, though ScHoolboy Q is having a great time watching things unfold.

Boosie Badazz Declares Kendrick Lamar The Winner Of Drake Beef

Boosie Badazz says that Kendrick Lamar is the definitive winner of the feud with Drake thus far, but isn’t counting the Toronto rapper out going forward. Speaking with VladTV, Boosie began by describing the music video for “Not Like Us” as “hard.” When Vlad asked whether any debate can be made that Drake has won thus far, Boosie remarked that there’s “no doubt” Lamar is ahead.

“There ain’t no doubt. They still running,” Boosie began. “When you run a race and one just stop, one still running. You still running. You stretching it to win the race. When you stop going, that’s with anything, what you gonna do? You gonna lose the race.” Despite thinking Kendrick is the clear winner thus far, Boosie doesn’t think Drake is fully out of the race. “Not even close,” he remarked.

In the comments section on YouTube, fans continued to argue over the beef. “Vlad is a true casual if he thinks that was Drake’s first loss,” one fan remarked. Another argued: “Drake lost cuz he was out rapped & defeated, not cuz he stopped making songs.” Check out Boosie’s full comments on the feud with Vlad below.

Drake dropped his last song in the beef back on May 5 with “The Heart Part 6.” In the time since, Lamar’s “Not Like Us” has become the biggest track in the feud. He’s since hosted The Pop Out – Ken & Friends concert in Los Angeles as well, where he performed several of his Drake disses. Drake Quotes Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” In Response To Viral Lookalike

Drake and Kendrick Lamar’s viral feud may have died down for the moment, but evidently, it remains at the top of fans’ minds. Luckily, despite how messy things got, it looks like Drizzy is still able to poke fun at the debacle. Earlier today, for example, the Toronto rapper took to his Instagram Story to share a viral clip of a Drake lookalike performing “Hotline Bling.”

For obvious reasons, fans got a kick out of the wild clip and were quick to take note of Drake’s caption. “Sometimes you gotta pop out,” he wrote simply. Of course, these lyrics are from Kendrick Lamar’s hit song “Not Like Us,” in which he rips Drake to shreds.

“Sometimes You Gotta Pop Out,” According To Drake

The track has been one of the most successful of the entire lyrical battle, and Kendrick later named his LA “Pop Out” show with Dr. Dre, Ty Dolla Sign, and more after it. It even got an accompanying music video earlier this month, which unsurprisingly racked up millions of views within only a few days. Famously, it features bars that accuse Drake of being a predator. Regardless, Drizzy doesn’t seem to mind giving it a shoutout.

After all, Drake seems set on moving on from this fiasco and getting back to what he was doing before. He recently teamed up with Gordo for two tracks on his debut album, “Sideways” and “Healing.” The features left supporters hopeful for the future, and feeling like Drizzy might finally be back on track. He also has a song with Lil Yachty on the way, “Super Soak,” which Kai Cenat previewed on stream last week. What do you think of Drake’s reaction to his viral lookalike’s performance? What about him quoting “Not Like Us” by Kendrick Lamar? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates.

Will Kendrick Lamar Be On Mustard’s New Album ‘Faith Of A Mustard Seed?’

Mustard’s fourth studio album, Faith Of A Mustard Seed, is out this Friday, July 26, five years after the release of its predecessor, Perfect Ten. As with his prior albums, Faith… has a massive, star-studded guest list featuring over a dozen frequent collaborators. One name, however, is conspicuously absent after a successful recent collaboration, and fans can’t help but ask if Kendrick Lamar will be on Faith Of A Mustard Seed.

The tracklist, which Mustard shared earlier this week, doesn’t include Kendrick’s name, but given how many artists these days keep at least one feature a secret, it’s entirely possible he could show up on the completed album. After all, Megan Thee Stallion’s album Megan didn’t have Big KRIT on the tracklist before its release, and she let fans be surprised.

Kendrick Lamar, of course, would be a perfect surprise addition to Faith Of A Mustard Seed, after his Mustard-produced single “Not Like Us” became the de facto song of the summer. It outlasted the battle between Drake and Kendrick, delivering Kendrick’s second solo Billboard Hot 100 No.1 and Mustard’s first. Mustard also appears in the song’s video.

Mustard was also one of the billed guests on Kendrick’s Pop Out – Ken & Friends concert in Los Angeles, playing a set with his own guests Blxst, Dom Kennedy, Steve Lacy, Ty Dolla Sign, and Tyler The Creator.

Even if Ken doesn’t appear on Faith Of A Mustard Seed, it’ll be the first time Mustard raps on a record, which is more than enough reason to tune in.

Faith Of A Mustard Seed is out on 7/26 via 10 Summers Records and Interscope.

DJ Retracts Claim That Drake Banned Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” In Texas

Drake’s influence is far and wide. He’s been one of the biggest artists in the world for half a decade. He has a particularly noteworthy influence in Texas, through his connections with J Prince. When it was rumored that Drake and J Prince had banned Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” in Texas clubs, it wasn’t entirely out of the question. The 6 God is known for being petty behind closed doors. J Prince, on the other hand, claims to have been involved with the Pusha T battle back in 2018. His input mad sense too. It turns out, though, that the rumor was untrue.

Ari the DJ was the woman who started the Texas rumor in the first place. She claimed she’d gotten in trouble multiple times for spinning “Not Like Us” via Twitter, which was quickly picked up by various outlets. Ari decided to set the record straight, however, on Instagram. She posted a screenshot of her original tweet, along with a headline detailing the alleged ban. According to Ari the DJ, things got lost in translation. “Headlines can be misleading,” she wrote on her IG Story. “Drake nor J Prince never told me to not play the song.” Ari the DJ then clarified that the orders to avoid “Not Like Us” came from people who respected Drake.

Drake Did Not Tell Club Promoters To Ban The Song

“Promoters and people that respect those guys told me not to and it was understood,” she explained. “That’s it, that’s all.” This isn’t the first time Drake has been accused of making life difficult for Kendrick Lamar and his TDE cohorts. ScHoolboy Q accused the rapper of getting his recent concert in Toronto shut down due to the ongoing beef. “TOP was just wit Wayne & Baby smH” Q tweeted. Partynextdoor just Had a sHow @ tHe palladium. If we wanted to get yall we would’ve just did it.. now wHen sumbody get Hurt don’t cry…”

There’s no evidence to link Drake to the cancelation of ScHoolboy Q’s concert. That being said, the venue for the show did have affiliates with the 6 God, as well as Live Nation. Drake has been quiet on record when it comes to the Kendrick Lamar beef, but rumors have continued to swirl that he has more music coming. The rapper has fueled these rumors on social media. On July 22, Drake posted a photo wearing a Tupac shirt reading: “Only God Can Judge Me.” Sounds like the war is still going on to us…

Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” Allegedly Banned From Select Houston Establishments

Drake and Kendrick Lamar’s feud has been ongoing for over a decade at this point. However, it finally came to a head this past year with some scathing diss tracks. “Like That” started it all off and “Push-Ups” soon followed. “Euphoria” escalated things and on the night of May 3rd, history was made. “Family Matters” sent shockwaves throughout the hip-hop world. Meanwhile, “Meet The Grahams” completely stopped everyone in their tracks.

The following day, Kendrick Lamar dropped another nuke with “Not Like Us.” Since then, “Not Like Us” has become the defining song of the entire beef. It has been the number-one song in the entire world for a few weeks now and the momentum isn’t stopping. However, there seems to be at least one city that isn’t loving the track’s recent love fest. According to some anecdotes out of Houston, it would appear as though the song has been banned by certain establishments.

Kendrick Lamar Has Some Clubs Shutting The Door

While it is unclear why this is the case, some have tried to point the finger at Drake himself. After all, Drizzy is known for being a frequent visitor in Houston. Moreover, he has ties to J Prince, who has quite a bit of influence over there. However, nothing is confirmed and there is no evidence pointing in any direction. Having said that, if you are a DJ who has “Not Like Us” in your set, be wary of playing the song while out in Texas.

Let us know what you think about all of this, in the comments section down below. Do you believe that Drake is the person behind all of this? M. Night Shyamalan Was Team Kendrick Lamar Even Before He Referenced ‘The Sixth Sense’ In His Feud With Drake

M. Night Shyamalan’s most childhood trauma-inducing film is Signs, but Drake is probably more traumatized by The Sixth Sense.

Kendrick Lamar referenced the 1999 film in two diss tracks against Drake. On “Euphoria,” he rapped, “Am I battlin’ ghost or AI? / N*gga feelin’ like Joel Osteen / Funny, he was in a film called A.I. / And my sixth sense tellin’ me to off him.” (He meant Haley Joel Osment, who was a good sport about the whole thing.) Lamar also begins his No. 1 hit “Not Like Us” with “I see dead people.”

While promoting his new The Eras Tour-inspired film Trap, Shyamalan was asked about the feud. “We kind of lightly know each other, and I did know [he was a fan],” the director said of Lamar on the Way Up With Angela Yee podcast, according to Billboard. “He’s very gracious with me, and I love him.”

Shyamalan first learned about The Sixth Sense lyric from someone he works with. “The first song ends with it. So someone in the office was like, ‘Oh, Kendrick just dropped something and it references one of your [movies].’ I was like, ‘Oh, cool.’ That was before everything blew up,” he explained.

If the feud with Drake continues, Kendrick should start referencing some of M. Night’s other films. Let’s see what he can do with Lady In The Water.

Drake Fan Creates “Family Matters” Game In Retaliation To “Not Like Us” Flash Creation

Overall, the Drake and Kendrick Lamar beef has been over for a while now. This is mostly because a winner has been declared. The consensus is that Kendrick came through with the win. However, some Drake fans are holding onto the idea that their guy actually was victorious. This has led to plenty social media meltdowns from the OVO-vengers side of things. Regardless, you have to give the Drake stans credit for being so consistent and downright persistent at times.

A great example of this is how just a couple of weeks ago, some Kendrick Lamar fans created a “Not Like Us” video game. It was a Flash game in which you played as Kendrick who could be seen whacking away at Drake-related items. Well, a new version of the game has been created although this time around, it is a “Family Matters” game. The object of this game is to shoot a Grammy into Kendrick’s mouth whenever he opens up.

Drake Fans Are Getting Creative

This is a reference to the infamous lyric “Kendrick just opened his mouth, somebody give him a Grammy right now.” It was one of those lyrics that many found humorous, although others thought it was Drake showcasing his jealousy. Whatever the case may be, you cannot deny that Drake fans work extremely hard, regardless of the circumstances. Only time will tell whether or not this beef inspires more video games.

Let us know what you think about all of this, in the comments section down below. Do you believe that Drake fans are doing a bit too much here? What do you make of the Drake and Kendrick beef now that it has been over three months since it all took place? Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest news and updates from around the music world. We will continue to keep you informed on all of your favorite artists and their upcoming projects.

M Night Shyamalan Recalls The Moment He Heard Kendrick Lamar’s “The Sixth Sense” Reference On “Not Like Us”

M Night Shyamalan recently discussed Kendrick Lamar making multiple references to his iconic film, The Sixth Sense, amid his feud with Drake during an interview on Way Up With Angela Yee. He appeared on the show alongside his daughter, Saleka. On his diss track, “Euphoria,” Lamar raps: “Am I battlin’ ghost or AI? / N***a feelin’ like Joel Osteen / Funny, he was in a film called A.I. / And my sixth sense tellin’ me to off him.” Additionally, to kick off his hit song, “Not Like Us,” he references the classic line, “I see dead people.”

“We kind of lightly know each other, and I did know [he was a fan],” the legendary director said. “He’s very gracious with me, and I love him.” From there, he recalled the first time he heard Lamar’s “Euphoria” diss track. “The first song [of the Drake disses] ends with it,” he said. “So someone in the office was like, ‘Oh, Kendrick just dropped something and it references one of your [movies].’ I was like, ‘Oh, cool.’ That was before everything blew up.”

Elliott Wilson Thinks Kendrick Lamar & Drake’s Beef Will Last Forever

Elliott Wilson can’t see an end in sight to Kendrick Lamar and Drake’s ongoing feud. Speaking on the beef during a recent video circulating on social media, Wilson explained that the two have been disliking each other behind the scenes for over a decade.

“It’s never over, this Drake Kendrick sh*t is never over… these n****s took over a decade to finally get at it when there was already tension the whole time,” he said. “You think its gonna go away in a couple months? This sh*t is forever.” He added that, for Drake, it’s not as simple as admitting he lost and moving on. “The problem is that Drake and his people are legitimately stunned and mad that they lost, and they can’t accept it,” he explained.
