Omarion Shows Off His Choreography For Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us”

Kendrick Lamar’s Drake diss “Not Like Us” is taking on a life of its own even outside their high-profile beef. While many of the song’s release by both artists are long and lyrically indulgent as they take shots at each other, “Not Like Us” is different. The Mustard produced song is laced with one catchy refrain after another and has tons of memorable lyrics that have been memed endlessly online. That’s why it’s no surprise the song has been a massive hit that’s made its way into all kinds of different unexpected facets of pop culture.

A diss track having a dance associated with it probably wasn’t something anyone was expecting when the spat began. But now Omarion has shared his choreography for “Not Like Us” on Instagram. He dropped a video of the moves he’s associating with the song but surprisingly, fans online weren’t really feeling it. Multiple comments on the post criticize the choreography with some claiming it doesn’t even resemble dancing anymore. “he not even dancing he showing off his fit 😂😂” one comment reads. “Omarion just did a bunch of NOTHING!!!” another agrees. Check out his new video and the reactions to it from fans below.

Omarion Gets Roasted For His “Not Like Us” Choreography

“Not Like Us” has been an absolute smash both on the charts and on streaming. It debuted at number one on the Hot 100. It followed in the footsteps of “Like That” which kicked the beef off back in March. The track still sits at number two on the singles chart behind only Post Malone and Morgan Wallen’s new collaboration “I Had Some Help.” The track also broke the Spotify record for most streams by any rap song in a 24 hour period. The record was previously held by Drake and Lil Baby’s “Girls Want Girls.”

What do you think of Omarion’s choreography for Kendrick Lamar’s smash hit “Not Like Us?” Do you agree with fans that what he delivered barely even feels like dancing anymore? Let us know in the comment section below.

Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” Lyrics Snuck Into Meteorologist’s Viral Weather Reports

Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” is primed to be one of the biggest hits of the summer. The Mustard-produced song debuted at number one during the thick of his beef with Drake. It’s still high on the Hot 100 spending a second week at number two behind only Post Malone and Morgan Wallen’s new collaboration “I Had Some Help.” The song also produced a number of hilarious lyrics that immediately seeped into popular culture predominately through memes. Now a new video making the rounds online shows another strange place the song’s influence has popped up.

A meteorologist from Houston named Adam Krueger has been sneaking lyrics from the hit diss track into some recent weather reports. An eagle-eyed fan caught on and made a compilation of various references he made during weather reports. That included lines about passing like John Stockton and how many stocks he really has in stock that are borrowed directly from the song. In the comments, fans continue to be amazed just how far reaching and successful the diss track has been. Check out the hilarious video of a meteorologist quoting Kendrick below.

Meteorologist Sneaks Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” Into Weather Report

“Not Like Us” hasn’t just been cleaning up on the charts, but also on streaming services. The song broke numerous Spotify records including a pair that were previously owned by Drake. First it broke the record for most streams in 24 hours by a solo rap song. Then it broke the record for most streams in 24 hours by any rap song period. The two records were previously held by Drake’s “Champagne Poetry” and his Lil Baby collab “Girls Want Girls” respectively. The song already has more than 275 million streams on Spotify alone.

What do you think of a Houston meteorologist sneaking lyrics from “Not Like Us” into some of his recent weather reports? Are you surprised by just how successful the diss track has been since it dropped last month? Let us know in the comment section below.

Houston’s rapping meteorologist Adam Krueger is at it again, sneaking another set of fan-favorite bars into his weather report. Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” has been literally everywhere lately (arguably, too many places), so why not the local news?

Rap fans online were tickled when they learned Krueger had incorporated the song into his latest report for CW39 Houston, imitating Kendrick’s emphatic ad-libbing as he noted an incoming heatwave. “Wop wop wop wop wop! We get hit with a heat index well over 100,” he lamented. He also sneaks in a nifty rhyme name-checking NBA Hall of Famer John Stockton. The important thing to note, as he says in a follow-up about the viral popularity of the clip, is that he’s not choosing sides in the battle between Kendrick Lamar and Drake (which is basically over anyway, right?).

Krueger has been entertaining rap fans with his bits for over a year, after taking a fan suggestion to recite rap lyrics during his report on TikTok. He began going viral in 2023 when he started quoting Eminem lyrics during his report, along with bars from Cardi B and Snoop Dogg. He also does songs from pop groups, suggestions from grade school students, and more, but generally gets the biggest reactions online from raps.

He isn’t the only rap fan news man who practices his hobby on the air. MSNBC’s Ari Melber has gone viral a few times thanks to his insightful breakdowns of popular rap verses from Jay-Z and quotes from the Notorious B.I.G.

Buddy Is Latest Cali Rapper To Turn Up To “Not Like Us” At A Show

Not Like Us” has become the anthem of the year. Kendrick Lamar’s number one single has taken over the airways and the parties, much to the chagrin of its target: Drake. Nowhere is K. Dot’s victory more apparent than the West Coast. Dozens of Los Angeles rappers have played the song at their shows, to the point where it’s become a trend. Buddy recent appeared at an L.A. festival, and the talented emcee decided to bring the house down by dancing to the diss record onstage.

Buddy’s music has a laid back, contemplative feel. This is what made his decision to switch it up such a surprise. The rapper decided to throw on “Not Like Us” in the middle of his show, and the crowd lost its collective mind. Everybody in the audience sang along to the diss, and Buddy loved every moment if it. He can be seen egging the crowd on. At one point, he abandoned rapping and starting dancing on the stage. The only time he used the mic was to join the crowd in chanting the “A minor” punchline that Lamar levels at Drake. The rapper had an absolute blast.

Buddy has been a longtime admirer of Kendrick Lamar. He secured a feature from Lamar on his 2014 mixtape, Idle Time, and has repeatedly credited him as an inspiration. “I’m a big Kendrick fan and that sh*t happened so damn early in my career,” he told The Fader. “Even in Kendrick’s career. He wasn’t the Kendrick he is today when I got the feature. But I was still fully aware of the talent so I was super gung-ho. I figured out my first Backwood and I got a Kendrick feature. It was like a combo.” The rapper has remained close with the other members of Top Dawg Entertainment, as well.

Buddy met Lamar through Pharrell Williams, the artist he signed to back in 2009. Despite maintaining reverence for Pharrell, Buddy has made it clear that Lamar and the entire TDE roster has had a bigger impact on his musical style. During a 2022 interview with Billboard, the rapper revealed that he borrowed a line from Ab-Soul to make his song “Ain’t Fair.” “He said that in a rap back in the day so that was like a little homage to Ab-Soul,” he noted. “Shoutout Ab-Soul.”

Kendrick Lamar Keeps His No. 2 Spot On The Billboard Hot 100 With “Not Like Us”

Kendrick Lamar apparently still has playlists, dance floors, song queues, and airplay going wild over his final Drake diss, “Not Like Us.” Moreover, it kept its number two placement on the Billboard Hot 100 for the third week in a row after debuting at number one four weeks ago. This time around, the chart-topping track is once again Post Malone and Morgan Wallen’s “I Had Some Help,” which topped the Hot 100 (and dethroned the West Coast banger) for the third week in a row. Other notable returning cuts on the chart this week are Tommy Richman’s “MILLION DOLLAR BABY,” Shaboozey’s “A Bar Song (Tipsy),” and Sabrina Carpenter’s “Espresso.”

Furthermore, this comes amid rumors propelled by Terrace Martin, plus some other unconfirmed speculation, that Kendrick Lamar is “locked in.” A lot of folks obviously took this to mean that he’s working on new music with Martin and others in the studio, and die-hard fans are hoping that this could mean an album is on the way. Whether or not that’s true is a mystery, and it dangerously invokes the five-year wait and hype before 2022’s Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers. Will we have to wait until 2027 or is this beef scandal the perfect moment to strike?

Kendrick Lamar Stays Top 2 On The Billboard Hot 100 For Four Consecutive Weeks

Surely, we’ll learn in due time, but it would certainly make sense numbers-wise for Kendrick Lamar to seize the day. After all, he’s not only out-streaming Drake when comparing their diss tracks against each other, but creeped up on his general listenership numbers on Spotify as well. Of course, this doesn’t mean much in the grand scheme, and anyone who thinks they can take The Boy down commercially will dream forever. Also, some fans think that it would be a corny move on K.Dot’s part to drop something, since it would indicate that this beef either intentionally or unintentionally rolled out the red carpet for it.

But who are we to assume and speculate when the only thing Kendrick Lamar’s done in 2024 is drop music and not make any more statements? Still, even if there’s no new music for a while, people still have plenty to talk about when it comes to his previous material -– and that of his family. An alleged reference track by the Compton lyricist for Baby Keem’s “BULLIES” recently surfaced, once again opening up a debate about ghostwriters, reference tracks, writing for other artists, and whether this is a condemnable offense. But ironically enough, Billboard suggests that no matter what conversations people are having, they’re still bumping “Not Like Us.”

Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” Inspires Stripper To Crip-Walk Onstage In Viral Clip

Kendrick Lamar continues his dominance with “Not Like Us,” as the Drake diss has apparently even inspired strippers to work it in their routine. Moreover, a clip recently went viral of a dancer crip-walking to the track, which some fans joked about angering the gutter-minded folks in attendance who were throwing dollar bills before. Either way, you can hear the crowd react pretty excitedly to the moves, which is certainly one of the more creative tributes to the song to pop up this week. In fact, we can’t help but wonder whether or not this is a national phenomenon or if this is an isolated incident.

Jokes aside, Kendrick Lamar got a lot of commercial love (and even more critical acclaim) for his slew of Drake disses, and so did the Toronto superstar. Now that the battle is in the rearview mirror, it will be very interesting to see how their artistries and careers evolve from here, if at all. Maybe they will get right back to business as usual for them (as Drizzy proved with his recent Sexyy Red feature) or we’ll only see the fruits of this labor down the line. One thing’s for sure: this feud will still be a major talking point for the rest of 2024.

However, while no one really knows what’s next, there is a lot of hope for the best case scenario. Drake is always dropping material, so fans are looking forward to his next moves all the time. But Kendrick Lamar is a more elusive figure, one that took five years to follow up his biggest commercial success. As such, rumors that he’s “locked in” on new music is very exciting for fans, but there’s no telling whether this will further the beef.

Hopefully it doesn’t, as it would be a tad corny to build up your next album by dissing Drake and beating that dead horse even further. But when it comes to him and Kendrick Lamar, who’s to say? There are even folks who think that they should let bygones be bygones and work together again. What’s more likely: another “Poetic Justice,” a Kendrick album within the next three years, or a dancer strutting their stuff to a PDF-file-alleging banger?

DJ Cipha Sounds Clarifies What Happened With OVO 40 And Drake

Yesterday, we reported on DJ Cipha Sounds and a recent interaction he had with OVO 40, Drake’s long-time producer and confidant. Overall, 40 was angered with Cipha due to a misunderstanding that the DJ had played Kendrick Lamar’s diss track “Not Like Us” while in Toronto. Based on Cipha’s comments, it was very clear that 40 was upset about the whole thing. However, some got it confused, including us, and reported that Cipha had, in fact, played the song while in the Six. As it turns out, that was very much not the case.

In a video posted to social media, the DJ explained exactly what happened. Firstly, he noted that he hates rap beef and he is sad that two of the best MCs are at odds right now. Subsequently, he noted that he was in Toronto recently as the city is like a second home to him. From there, his new social media manager posted pictures from the trip and thought it would be funny to put “Not Like Us” as theme music. DJ Cipha Sounds was made aware of this, and immediately had the post taken down.

However, it seems like it was simply too late. OVO 40 became aware of the post, and that is when he called Cipha Sounds. Essentially, it was all one huge misunderstanding that could have been avoided. Although it does go to show that Drake’s camp is taking “Not Like Us” very seriously right now. After all, there are some pretty massive allegations in there.

Let us know what you think about this situation, in the comments section down below. Do you believe that the whole beef between Drake and Kendrick has been blown out of proportion? Has it officially gotten to corny territory? Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest news and updates from around the music world. We will continue to keep you informed on all of your favorite artists and their upcoming projects.

OVO 40 Allegedly Threatened DJ Over Playing Drake Diss “Not Like Us”

OVO 40 has been in Drake’s corner since day one. He codified the rapper’s signature sound on So Far Gone, and has since become known as the architect of what’s been dubbed the “Toronto Sound.” There is no 2010s without 40. This venerated status is partially why the producer feels so protective of Drake. More protective than fans would expect, if recent allegations are to be believed. DJ Cipha Sounds said that 40 threatened him with violence if he dared to play any Drake disses in Toronto.

DJ Cipha Sounds went on the Juan Epstein podcast and recounted the run-in he had with OVO 40. He claimed that the producer told him no to play the Kendrick Lamar song “Not Like Us” in Drake’s city, and if he did, 40 would take immediate action. “How about I go to your city and play a song where someone calls you a ped*phile,” OVO 40 allegedly told the DJ. “It’s on sight, when I see you, I’m gonna smack you in the mouth.” Cipha Sounds was completely taken aback by the interaction. The thing that bothered him the most, however, was the statement OVO 40 made afterwards.

OVO 40 Allegedly Told The DJ “It’s On Sight”

“He goes, ‘I know you never liked us,’” Cipha Sounds recounts. The DJ took particular umbrage with this claim. “How, why?” he responded. “I’m only, only supportive and play everything you put out. What are you talking about.” OVO 40’s frustration is not surprising, given the producer’s passion for Toronto and the OVO legacy as a whole. He appeared in a 2022 documentary titled Toronto Rising, in which detailed his desire to leave an impact on the city. It’s a desire that’s allowed him to combat the complications of an MS diagnosis and oversee some of the most impactful albums of his generations.

“As long as I had like one finger that still worked, no matter what the world took from me,” OVO 40 said in the documentary. “I could play the keyboard and I could make music. All the things in my life just kind of pointed me in one direction. I’m here to play my part and to leave my impact.” 40’s concern regarding Drake also makes sense. The “Family Matters” rapper has been forced to deal with some dangerous situations since his battle with Kendrick Lamar. There was a shooting outside of the rapper’s Toronto mansion that injured a bodyguard, as well as numerous trespassers.

Kendrick Lamar & “Not Like Us” Stuck At No. 2 As Post Malone & Morgan Wallen Continue To Dominate The Charts

Kendrick Lamar found himself in the middle of a vicious battle with Drake just a few weeks ago. Overall, most fans have him as the winner of the feud. While “Meet The Grahams” was probably enough to win the battle, Kendrick ended up dropping a nuke with “Not Like Us.” It is a West Coast banger filled with scathing bars and some truly hilarious one-liners. It originally debuted at number one on the Billboard charts. However, it was dethroned in its second week by Post Malone and Morgan Wallen who teamed up on the song “I Had Some Help.”

During its second week, “Not Like Us” was simply number two on the charts. While many songs from the beef fell off hard on the charts, “Not Like Us” proved to be a true mainstay. Well, according to Billboard, Kendrick Lamar is staying atop the charts for a third straight week. Wallen and Malone are still at number one, although Kendrick is currently second for a second week in a row. This is a massive accomplishment for a diss record. If anything, it shows the record has legs beyond just a battle and that at the end of the day, it’s a versatile piece of music.

Kendrick Lamar Can Still Get Back To The Top

Kendrick has had a dominant start to the year. He has three platinum songs already, and fans are currently begging for an album. Hopefully, we get some new music from Kenny sooner rather than later.
